"Do we have to," whined out a male voice.

"Come on, Goten," said another male voice, "What better way to pass the time than to practice the fusion dance."

The first male, Goten, was sitting on the grass next to his slightly older brother, Gohan. Even though both of them were twins, Goten was the more adventurous out of the two. That was why he thought he was having plans with his secret girlfriend in Satan City. However, those plans were derailed when his slightly older twin brother Gohan caught him before he could fly away into Satan City. Now, what was he going to be telling his gorgeous girlfriend about being late? Though, to be fair, Gohan didn't know that when they were at school, Goten scored a girlfriend by the name of Usagi. He still remembered how he met her too…

- Flashback –

"Don't tell me Gohan- ditched me again," groaned out Goten, "And in weather like this?"

It was a rainy day when Gohan and Goten finally got to the school. The school day dragged on with no one able to go outside. Once school was over, Goten ran out of his last class to look for his slightly older twin brother. He, however, couldn't find him and was pouting a bit when he realized that, yes, Gohan ditched him to take his crush, Videl, home from the rain. Goten was also pouting because Gohan took the only umbrella the both had when they both went to school together. Sighing at his predicament, he didn't realize there was another person with him. This person had long golden blonde hair that was tied into two pigtails with spherical balls of hair on either side. This person also had silver-blue eyes that looked at Goten in concern. Though shy, this person went up to Goten and tapped him on his shoulder. "Sumimasen (Excuse me)," said a female voice.

"Eh," questioned Goten who slowly turned around.

"D-Do you want to borrow my umbrella," questioned the female voice, "I-I can just use my hood to make sure I'm not wet."

Goten blinked as he finally finished turning around to see a very pretty girl talking to him. Usually, it would be his best friend, Trunks, that had girls coming up and talking to him. This has never happened to Goten at all as he sometimes watched enviously about his best friend. Gohan also had the attention of his crush at school that sometimes, Goten felt like he was being ignored by his brother and best friend. Shaking his head mentally, Goten plastered on a smile to the girl. "Are you sure," questioned Goten, "I would rather not get yourself wet even if you have a hood on."

"I-I'm sure," said the girl with a smile, "Unless you are waiting for someone?"

"Nah," said Goten with a small shake of his head, "My twin probably ditched me a while ago to get home."

"And he didn't wait for you," said the girl who was now frowning, "That's not right."

"Meh," said Goten with a shrug, "I'm kind of used to it. Besides, I sometimes ditch him to go over to my friend's house."

"Karma," questioned the girl with mirth in her tone.

"I guess you could say that," said Goten with a laugh.

With a laugh, the two easily got into a conversation, ignoring how they should have been going home instead of staying inside the school building. It was then that the girl looked at her pink watch and gasped out a surprise. Seeing the time, the girl placed her umbrella in Goten's hands and told him that he could give it back to her in homeroom 1-B. Goten, not being in that homeroom, just nodded as he felt the soft hands engulfing his own, letting his hands wrap around the umbrella. Before the girl could go, Goten shook his head mentally before asking: "What's your name?"

"Oh," said the girl who was about to rush into the rain towards home, "Usagi. Tsukino Usagi."

"Goten," said Goten with a smile, "Son Goten."

"Nice to meet you," said Usagi with a smile, "I hope that we'll become good friends from now on!"

"Same," said Goten before Usagi ran out into the rain.

Goten unconsciously gripped the umbrella in his hands while he looked at Usagi running in the rain towards home. He was also unconsciously smiling when he thought back at their conversation. Seeing as the rain was not as heavy, Goten opened up the umbrella and started his way towards home. Well, towards an abandoned alley just so he could fly back home. "Usagi, huh," said Goten with a smile, "I can't wait to be better friends with her at school."

- End Flashback –

'Well, I was right,' thought Goten with a smile on his face, 'Though also wrong since she became my girl.'

"What are you smiling about," questioned Gohan.

"Nothing," said Goten.

"Right," said Gohan with disbelief, "Anyways, let's get to practicing!"

Goten sighed at his slightly older brother. He didn't know why Gohan suddenly wanted to practice the Fusion dance since there were no major battles as of late, but he guessed Gohan really wanted to hang out with him one on one. Though, it has been a while since it was just the two of them. Goten smiled indulgingly at Gohan before nodding his head. 'I mean,' thought Goten, 'I'll probably won't be late to meet up with Usa-chan later, right?'

- Moments Later –

"I am SO late," yelped a flying male person, "And! I am still in this Fusion form!"

While practicing a lot of times with Gohan, Goten totally had forgotten the time to meet up with his girlfriend downtown. Goten was also unfortunate to realize the time while he was STILL fused with his older twin brother. Now, Goten was flying towards downtown while being the combined looks of his twin and himself. Goten was now sporting his signature haircut but with Gohan's bangs. He was also wearing their signature orange and blue gi that have been always been worn within the Son family. With a streak of white in the sky due to his energy, Goten couldn't help but wonder how this meeting would go. "This was SO not how I wanted Gohan to meet Usa-chan," groaned out the fused Goten.

Flying faster, Goten finally landed in an abandoned alley before trying to calm himself down. No matter what happens, Goten was going to come clean to Usagi about what happened to him. At least, Gohan will be able to experience the movie they were going to watch… through Goten. Fused Goten groaned out loud as he walked out of the alley and towards downtown where the movie theater was. Once upon seeing the beauty that was his girlfriend, fused Goten could feel part of him in delight and another in confusion. Let it be known that even fused, there are still TWO people within one body when fused. "Usa-chan" called out fused Goten.

"Huh," questioned Usagi before turning around to look at… "Dare (Who are you)?"

"Ah," said fused Goten who rubbed the back of his head awkwardly, "C-Could we go somewhere where we won't be overheard?"

"I… guess so," said Usagi with a questioning tone, "Demo, just know that I can definitely defend myself from you if you do something evil towards me."

'Yeah,' thought Goten's side of the fuse, 'I remember your story.'

Fused Goten just nodded his head as he led Usagi towards a small café. He could feel the confusion within his Gohan side while his Goten side was just glad, if a bit worried, that Usagi would even go to the café with him. Usagi, on her part, was wondering why this guy looked so familiar. The only thing that was familiar to her was what this person was wearing. Seeing her own boyfriend wearing the same type of gi this guy was wearing was why Usagi even agreed to go with him to the small café instead of waiting for her boyfriend to arrive. Once inside the café and seated in a secluded area, they ordered their food before fused Goten took a huge breath and… "Usa-chan, it's me," said fused Goten.

"Huh," questioned a confused Usagi, "I know you?"

"Hai," said fused Goten, "It's me, Goten… only… Gohan is in this body too."

"Nani," questioned Usagi in surprise.

'Yeah, Goten,' thought Gohan's side of the fusion, 'What are you actually doing?!'

"Yeah," said fused Goten who rubbed the back of his head awkwardly, "You know how I told you about my family?"

"Un," nodded Usagi once.

"W-Well," said the fused Goten, "Gohan, my twin bro, wanted to practice this technique that tōsan learned a while back. It was called the Fusion dance, making two people fuse together to become one."

"So," said Usagi slowly, "You are the fused version of Gohan and Goten? What is even your name since I can't use Goten's name in public right now?"

"Uh," said a fused Goten embarrassedly, "Hanten? Gohen? Gothan?"

"You don't even know either," said a deadpanned Usagi.

"Gomen, Usa-chan," said the fused Goten.

Usagi sighed inwardly. She didn't even know what was happening in her life, but she knew that she wouldn't change this for the world. Sure, she and Goten shared their life stories, especially the gruesome ones in their lives, but fusing together with his own twin? She was sure that some deity was making her life a sitcom for their enjoyment somewhere up in the sky. As Usagi pondered about how her life is turning out, fused Goten could tell that his Gohan side was curious who this girl was and why Goten's side wasn't screaming at their fused self for letting an unknown female teen know about them. Fused Goten tuned back just in time to hear what Usagi was asking. "So, how long does this last," questioned Usagi.

"Thirty minutes," said the fused Goten, "Though, shorter if I fight an opponent and use up most of my ki."

"Don't jinx us today, Gohen," said Usagi, "You know with our troublesome luck, something bad will happen."

"Gomen, Usa-chan," said Gohen with a sheepish look on his face, "Well, at least you decided on a name?"

"We'll work on it," said Usagi.

Fused Goten, now called Gohen, laughed sheepishly before calling for a waiter or waitress on where their orders were. Usagi just smiled indulgently as the waiter came with refills on their drinks, giving them an apology for the wait. Shaking her head mentally, Usagi sipped on her iced tea before launching in a conversation with Goten about how their day was. It wasn't long for fused Goten to feel that Gohan's side of the fusion realized this was actually a date that his little twin was on. He could also tell that Gohan's side was wincing at how somewhat awkward this date was due to Goten and him being fused together. At least, it helped that Usagi already knew the nitty-gritty stuff from Goten's side of his life because if it wasn't, then this date Gohan unconsciously crashed would have been more awkward than it already was. When thirty minutes was almost up, Gohen paid for the impromptu lunch before leading Usagi into a deserted area. There, Gohen picked Usagi up before landing on an empty and random rooftop, and just in time too. Usagi saw Gohen glow before a flash of light blinded her temporarily. "Finally," said Goten who was out of the fusion.

"Goten," questioned Usagi.

"It's me," said Goten who rushed at Usagi and hugged her close to him, "Again… Gomen for the trouble before our date."

"It's fine," said Usagi, "Demo, are you finally going to introduce me to your twin?"

"Oh yeah," said Goten with a goofy smile on his face, "Totally forgot about Gohan for a second there."

"Geez," said a sarcastic Gohan, "I feel the love, bro. Honest to Beerus feel it."

Goten laughed awkwardly before spinning Usagi around to see his twin dusting his pants, her back now leaning into Goten's chest. Gohan, on his part, was trying to gather his memories about what was going on before mentally shaking his head. He knew that Goten was probably a bit mad about the timing that they were STILL fused together right before his date with one of their classmates. The date itself was still stuck in his head as he looked at the couple before him. He could tell that Goten was totally in love with Tsukino Usagi, one of the most popular girls at school. Though, he could also see that Usagi was smitten with Goten as well. He did wonder how they became friends in the first place. But, the questioned could come later. For now… "It's nice to meet otōto's kanojo," said Gohan who bowed at the couple.

"It's nice to finally meet you too, Gohan-san," said Usagi with a smile.

"Dude," said Goten, "You don't have to be all formal with Usa-chan, Gohan. I mean, we just got done with a lunch date with her as… Gohen?"

"I guess we're sticking with that name," questioned Gohan.

"At least, it's not Gothan," said Usagi, "Sounds very similar to Gotham."

"Oh yeah," said Goten who nodded his head, "That's true. The fact you are also a DC fan, Usa-chan."

"You know me so well, Go-kun," said Usagi with a smile.

"So," said Gohan, "How did this all started?"

"Well, it all started the day you ditched me to walk Videl home…"
