Ch 18

In a different timeline, the Sith were winning against the Jedi and Ara and Ezra went to planet Dolgarak.

There was a light side statue and a dark side statue. Both statues enhanced the power of Force users.

Ara planned to cut down the dark side statue so the Jedi could win. Then a Sith named Bichan came to stop them.

Ezra and Bichan ignited their sabers. They spun and slashed until Bichan Force Pushed Ezra down.

"Give up." Bichan said. "The dark side is more powerful. Surrender to it and you will gain power beyond your wildest dreams."

"I won't join your evil side." Ezra replied.

"If you will not then perhaps your friend will." Bichan taunted.

"NEVER!" Ezra yelled.

He drove Bichan back with a flurry of strikes, empowered by the dark side as he knocked Bichan down.

Ezra kept hammering at Bichan's saber and sparks flew as the Sith could only block.

Then Ezra was blasted away by a shockwave of Force energy from Bichan.

Suddenly, in flashes of the past and future, Ezra experienced a Force vision and realized that he was sent here for a purpose.

He almost turned into something evil like Bichan.

But Ezra was not in the dark side's spell anymore.

Bichan turned his lightsaber into a light-whip and the duel continued until Ara fired a wrist rocket, knocking down Bichan.

Then Ezra cut Bichan's light-whip in half and stabbed his chest, finally ending the fight.

"No matter what we do, it won't end. There's no way to stop this war. And even if we did, it doesn't matter. Another would just arise." Ara said with sorrow.

"Nothing is fixed." Ezra replied. "Light and dark will always coexist. And if nothing is set in stone, that means there will always be hope. We are always caught in the tide of uncertainty, but the next wave carries as much hopes as it does despair. Ara, I actually really needed this mission. And I think you did too."

Then Ezra and Ara slowly kissed with reassurance and love, warming each other up with their foreheads before they went for another mission.

The future was uncertain.

Was was certain was their eternal love.
