"Thank you," Ana said to the bartender as the man slid over her margarita. She took a sip of the cool drink before letting out a deep sigh.
"That sounds hopeful," an amused voice said next to her. Ana scowled and was ready to give the man a piece of her mind when she paused.
And tried not to gawk.
Beside her was a very handsome man. Reddish-brown hair, gray eyes, and an impressive build. Full lips that were currently smiling at her. She could even tell from him sitting down that he had a nice body. The black suit and complimented his entire look. Ana cleared her throat and tried to focus on what he said.
"You would be correct, sir. I've not had a good night," she muttered before taking another pull from her drink. He nodded before folding his hands over each other on the smooth granite bar.
"I know."
She frowned.
"How would you know? Have you been stalking me?" she asked lightly. He chuckled.
"No. I heard you from earlier. I was sitting at the table behind you. I just want to say that even though I don't know you, I can tell you that the guy, your ex-boyfriend was trash. And you can do so much better," he said before lifting his hand signaling for the bartender. She turned on the barstool to face him. She couldn't help but feel warm as his eyes roved over her form appreciatively. She was internally glad she opted to wear the white form-fitting dress that was above the knee and hugged her body like a glove. There was no back, and the front had a subtle plunge that gave her a classy look. Ana opted to leave her hair falling down her back, and her red lipstick was the only makeup adorning her face. Her eyebrows raised when she saw his gaze linger on her red heels which were four inches and worth every penny if they got a man like the one in front of her to gaze at her in such away.
At least someone can admire the effort.
"He wasn't my boyfriend. He is my fiance. Was, I mean," Ana said quietly. The man moved closer before holding out his hand.
"Christian."
She raised a brow when he gave no last name.
"So just a one-name man? Like Fabio?" At her remark, Christian's eyes widened before he burst into laughter.
"No, I have a name. But I don't think it's important. You know my last name doesn't change the first. And it's only important that you know the first." She found herself smiling and shaking the hand he offered.
"Well, first name Christian. My name is Anastasia Steele." Ana could've sworn she saw a look of recognition pass over his face before it quickly left.
Weird.
"Ah, Ana. And what brings you out tonight other than a fiance, well ex-fiance who didn't bother to show up?"
She pulled her hand back before leaning against the bar.
"Actually I was celebrating my move to Seattle. My ex is a company lawyer and was just asked to represent Grey Enterprises which he is thrilled about," she muttered. He grinned at her.
"I take it you're not too pleased?" She snorted before shaking her head.
"No. I have no interest in representing big companies whose only goal in life is to take from the working class. I was raised within a modest home. My mother was a stay-at-home wife, and my father Ray was a military man who worked in construction."
"You hate the elite?"
"I hate men who've had it easy their entire life, only to get more wealth from us common folk."
"I heard he had a humble upbringing. Was adopted."
"Be that as it may, I'm sure his billions have turned him into another species. Men like that aren't really kind, or philanthropic as the media portrays them." Ana had no idea why Christian's eyes were lit in merriment and his smile became wider.
"If you weren't too happy about your fiance's employment, why did you move here? You could've had a long engagement and waited for him to get financially stable until you moved somewhere else."
She blew hair out of her face before nodding.
"We could. But I am here for Grey Enterprises as well."
When his eyes only widened she rolled hers.
"I know, I'm so judgmental! But it's true. Only I don't want to be. I'm also a lawyer. But Mr. Grey's COO contacted me to present to the man tomorrow morning about the environmental initiative that I believe can help with his green documents."
Christian leaned even closer to her.
"The man can't be all that bad. He has a green initiative." She gave him a dubious look before taking another sip of her drink.
"If you say so. It's just, ugh. It's going to be so awkward having to work with my ex. The good news is I'm only going to present the initiative. If he being Mr. Grey likes it, I'll get paid enough to leave the firm I'm currently with and work for legal aid. They need more lawyers and the representation for minorities is seriously lacking. I saw a firm that handles all those types of cases and I cannot wait to get started on it."
Chrisitan couldn't help the look of admiration and respect that crossed his face.
"That is admirable Ms. Steele. Why not start now?" Ana shrugged before looking away.
"Financially I had to help my father. Since my mother died, It's been just us two. And I never want my dad to worry. This will not only help him but give me enough money to move into my own apartment." Ana was silent for a moment before looking embarrassed.
"I'm so sorry. I don't know why I told you all of this."
Christian smiled gently at her.
"Maybe you felt that you could trust me," he said quietly. Ana studied him before taking a chance and placing her hand on his shoulder.
"You don't get that a lot huh?" she asked softly. He gave a slight nod.
"There are people that I think tell me what I want to hear. And apart from my brother, sister, and parents, I don't have many people in my life that I can trust. People who will tell me the truth. Or even tell me the troubles going on in their life."
The two studied one another before Christian spoke again.
"I don't mean to intrude too much, but what caused the two of you to break up?" Ana bit her lip before looking away.
"It's personal yes, but I feel that I can trust you with this information."
"Tell me," he said looking into her eyes. She took a deep breath before exhaling.
"He found someone better and more sexually appealing. He said that we didn't connect on that level, and we were better off as platonic. He apologized for having been engaged to me, but he couldn't go through with the charade any longer," Ana said casually. Christian frowned, and he could see how much it truly bothered her.
"We'd been friends for a long time, and I knew it was a bad idea but he kept being persistent, and his father and mine are friends."
"Ah, I see," Christian said. He tilted his head before standing and throwing money on the bar. She frowned watching him pull out his phone.
"Where are you going?" she asked. Once he finished texting whoever he caged her in her seat and leaned over her as if they were the only two in the restaurant.
"I wish I could say I was sorry about your engagement being broken, but then you wouldn't be here, talking with me, and showing me what an idiot your ex was."
"I-"
"Come home with me, Ana. I'll show you just how sexy you are and how stupid he was." Ana's heart was racing at the heat in his eyes and she lowered her gaze to his outstretched hand.
"Your choice," he said waiting.
Ana never did this. She never thought to follow a man she'd just met and leave this bar. But then she thought of how one conversation with this mysterious Christian made her feel better than her entire engagement to Jose, and she slid her hand in his.
"Take me with you," she breathed. His smile turned wicked before he pulled her close to his body and the two left.
As soon as they stepped off the elevator which led to the man's very large and expensive-looking condo he turned to Ana and kissed her. She moaned at the way his lips coaxed hers open and whimpered when he slid his tongue against her own. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she gasped when he reached down grabbed her butt, and squeezed the soft flesh. She wrenched her mouth away laughing at the euphoric feeling that rushed through her. She had a couple of drinks before Christian showed up so she didn't know if it was the alcohol or the man, but she was betting on the latter.
"God, you taste so good," Christian moaned into her skin. Ana pulled on his hair causing him to groan before his mouth covered hers quickly. He steered her down the hall and to his bedroom before turning and falling on the bed with her on top of him. He inched her dress up until her butt was exposed and he slapped the flesh when he realized she was wearing a thong.
"This dress has driven me to distraction the entire night. She hitched up her leg as he flipped her onto her back. Ana's legs were spread open as he ripped the rest of her dress, causing her breasts to spill out. She arched into his searching hands biting her lip when he kissed over her breasts and pulled on each nipple.
"Christian," she moaned out. He let go of her nipple before kissing down her body.
"I have a playroom."
"You mean like a game room?" she questioned a bit breathless. He chuckled darkly.
"No. It's a sex room. Where I have all of my toys. I'd like to try them with you," he confessed. She moaned once more before nodding.
"I would like that too. I would like to try some of those kinky things I've heard about too," she too confessed. His eyes turned heated.
"Soon," he said quietly.
The further he kissed down her body she blurted out a final thought.
"Just so you know, I'm not into being some guy's submissive, or whatever they're called." He paused in kissing down her body and raised a brow.
"I have no desire for a submissive."
"Okay. Oh, and Christian?"
"Yes?" he said amusement in his voice. "I've never done anything like this. I don't want you thinking I do one-night stands."
"Duly noted," he said before ripping off her thong. She gasped when his cool lips settled over her clit and sucked.
Hard.
"Ungh!" she muttered aloud, toes curling at his lips and tongue. She screamed when she felt herself coming. She hadn't come that fast in-
Well, ever.
He pulled away from her clit with his mouth, letting his fingers circle over the bundle of nerves before moving lower to her entrance and allowing his tongue to circle there.
You're driving me insane, she thought.
"I feel the same way," Christian's deep voice said over her heated core. Ana blushed not realizing that she said it out loud. She grabbed onto his hair as he licked before sliding his tongue inside of her. Ana's eyes rolled in the back of her head as Christian's mouth was making her impossible wet. He pulled his mouth away right as she was at the edge, speaking as if they were outside going for a stroll.
"Jose is a fool. But the next time I see him, I'll be sure to write him a check. Because he just lost the best thing that ever happened to him," Christian said before sliding three fingers inside of her. Ana gasped when he found her spot, and she screamed out his name.
"Christian! Please, Christian!"
Quickly he moved up her body hovering over her blissed-out form.
"What, Anastasia? What is it you want?" he asked wickedly. She moaned before reaching up and pulling his mouth to hers. She moaned in the kiss even as she felt him lining up and sliding inside of her. She broke the kiss when she felt the man continue to enter her. Ana's eyes widened in shock at how big he felt.
"Almost in baby," he said before closing his eyes as if in pain. Ana looked on incredulously.
Almost in? How big was his cock?
When his balls finally rested on her butt he gripped her hips as she pulsed around him. Ana was whimpering as his length seemed too much, but not enough at the same time.
"Move," she finally said when he was still. Christian locked eyes with her before giving a slight nod. Pulling back until the tip was in, he slid his cock back inside causing Ana to scream once more in pleasure. She wrapped both of her legs around his waist and arched into his sure movements. The way the man moved his hips and held her in place was everything she wanted. He kissed her deeply, tongue sliding along hers and his hands were busy, touching and groping and pulling as if he'd never had anything like it in his life.
Maybe he hadn't.
Ana broke their kiss once more to catch her breath, scratching at his back as she felt herself coming once again. Her legs began to shake, and she closed her eyes as a wave hit her so suddenly that it caused her mouth to open in a silent scream. Christian himself picked up the pace and four thrusts later found himself coming inside of Ana. he shivered when he felt the aftershocks of Ana's body gripping his own. Pulling out of her gently, Christian moved to the bed beside her and was about to ask if she wanted a shower with him when he saw her passed out on his bed. He couldn't help but smirk in satisfaction.
Even if he knew she would kill him in the morning.
But what a way to go, he thought in amusement.
Okay so fun fact. I was inspired by Working Girl. If my younger readers haven't seen it, google and rent, or purchase the 80's hit with Ford, Griffith, (Dakota Johnson's mom LOL), and Sigourney Weaver. It is not based on it, but I was looking at the film again. (Saw it 15 years ago in HS and LOVED IT) Leave me a review! I love you all and have a great weekend!
