[A/N: This is just to start off the story! This is meant to be a new season, so I thought I should try my hand at making an opening! I'm going to be using the original Island lyrics, since I like them much better. There won't be lots of author's notes, but as the very first chapter, I thought it'd help.]

Music begins to play as cameras and microphones sprout from trees, lakes, and oceans alike. The camera zooms in through the woods, finally breaking through the trees, and finding a girl in a blue shirt and jeans on the docks, staring out over the water.

"Dear mom and dad, I'm doin' fine."

Priya turns around when another girl, one with a notepad, appears. Priya is about to say something, but the girls are startled by something. The camera moves to Nichelle on the floating docks. She's half hidden behind Caleb, and madly waving a stick at a surrounding group of sharks in terror.

"You guys are on my mind."

Far behind Nichelle and Caleb, Zee watches from the shores with a lazy smile. He contentedly sips his soda.

"You asked me what I wanted to be, and now I think the answer's plain to see…"

Julia steps out from the forest, distracted by her phone. She trips over Zee's legs and falls to the ground. She's barely halfway to her feet when she gasps in horror, her cell phone screen shattered by the fall. She growls at Zee almost animalistically, but Zee is unbothered. Julia is stunned, but her surprise is short-lasted. From behind her back, she pulls out a second phone and throws up a peace sign for her followers.

"I wanna be famous!"

Leaning against a tree in a nearby clearing, Bowie smirks at Julia's misfortune as he files his nails, and turns to watch the scene behind him.

"I wanna live close to the sun,"

Behind Bowie, Wayne and Raj appear to be having a heated competition. They're bench pressing logs from the forest, and neither seems close to quitting. MK enters the scene, rummaging through an orange backpack decorated with a yellow butterfly. She briefly glances up, but seems to decide she wants no part in the situation. MK turns and begins to walk back the way she came, only for Emma to storm into view, momentarily frightening MK, who jolts back. Emma glares at MK and holds her arms out furiously. MK rolls her eyes, and dumps the backpack into Emma's arms.

"Go pack your bags, cause I've already won!"

Emma holds the backpack protectively while she makes her way to Chase, who hasn't noticed her at all.

"Everything to prove, nothing in my way,"

The couple watches as Damien bolts past them, Scary Girl in close pursuit on a riding lawnmower. Chase doubles over with laughter, while Emma glares at him with her hands on her hips.

"I'll get there one day."

Axel is training just ahead. She goes through a series of stretches, finishing her exercise by kicking several wooden targets to pieces. The camera pans to Ripper. He shouts something nasty at Axel, told by the contempt on her face. Ripper is given the same treatment as the targets, and left bruised on the ground.

"Cause I wanna be famous!"

Chris and Chef each sit on a deckchair, one purple, one green. They laugh, and sip from tropical drinks while they relish in Ripper's pain.

"Na na na na na na, na na na na na na, na na na na na na!"

Clips of each contestant's best and most iconic moments from the first season play, in order of previous elimination.

"I wanna be,"

Chase and Damien pose together. Chase is cheering, a fist in the air. Damien smiles, holding a peace sign high above his head.

"I wanna be,"

Nichelle, with an expression of rage, raises a dueling stick above her head over a screaming MK.

"I wanna be famous!"

An explosion can be seen in the distance past the trees.

"I wanna be,"

Scary Girl pushes back some bushes with an inhuman grin. Nichelle and Axel, who were hidden behind the bush, cling to each other in terror.

"I wanna be,"

Raj and Bowie sit with the others at the bonfire. They smile at each other and lean in.

"I wanna be famous!"

Wayne suddenly appears between them, eagerly watching both. Raj and Bowie bashfully look away, and the camera pans out to reveal the rest of the campers, who whistle the ending tune.
