Love Death and Voidlings

Chapter 1:

Setting the Stage

"CRACK"

A small river of blood poured out of his nose, his vision started to feel dizzy and his legs felt like they weighted a ton.

How did it come to this, he was a soldier dammit how could this showoff best him so easily?! His Noxus brethren jeered him and booed at his poor display the obscenities becoming nothing more than a whisper as he steeled himself to trade blows with his opponent again.

"You done thinking?" the imposing figure said as he turned to him with a grin on his fangs, he was taunting him. He had not even taken his coat off.

So be it, if he was cocky he would fall and this pretty boy had never fought in a real battle, all this Ionians knew was peace and nature and stupid stuff like that, he would show this half bread just how REAL humans fought. He took a pose familiar to him, left leg forward right fist primed, he wanted to deliver a killing blow with a hook. The soldier smiled easy to read, he charged forward kicking dirt ant his face to throw him off guard and now he would bring his elbow down on his face. But his elbow never connected, he hit thin air and stumbled to the ground.

When did he…? "Hey, Asshole… the coat was brand new, you're fucking dead"

Faster than he could have anticipated a powerful blow to the liber made his scream out in pain, but his opponent wasn't done he grabbed his hair and started to wail on his face with his other fist. He was let go roughly and just as he tried to surrender he felt himself lifted off the ground

"Time for the GRAND finale!" Sett screamed as he used a power bomb to crash his enemy to the ground, the back of the soldier hitting the ground so hard that it cracked the floor of HIS arena, he actually frowned at that "Dammit that has to be fixed for tomorrow" he murmured but he couldn't dwell on that he had a show to put on "Ladies and gentlemen, WELCOME!"

The roar of the arena answered him, his smirk grew even wider, oh yeah he was making a killing tonight.

"Thank you all Noxians, Ionians, Bilgewater or from whatever rock you crawled out off, this is a one in a lifetime show warriors from all over the world have come to this place for one reason" Sett snapped his fingers and two scantily clad woman came out carrying a big gold trophy, in it his symbol had been carved just as a reminder that HE owned it "TO BE CROWNED AS THE BEST FIGHTER ON THE ENTIRE PLANET!"

The crowd went wild for that, screaming their nations name at the top of their lungs. Noxus had Draven and other big stars, he had a price and not just gold coins but actual bragging rights, this made everyone thirsty for victory and the more people wanted something the bigger the audience that would gather to see the champion and the bigger the audience the more money he could add to his collection "Each contestant will go through grueling battles and at the end of the night WE WILL HAVE A CHAMPION!"

The crowd had gone into a frenzy now, the lust for action and blood palpable and what better way to start it than with a classic.

"Entering the arena first, he has record of twenty three wins and one loss, coming all the way from Noxus, THE MOUNTAIN!" the Noxus crowd cheered their lungs out and as if being summoned by their cheers a giant of a man with muscles that looked like they were going to rip his skin walked next to Sett. With a nod towards the boss he raised both his hands to the air and screamed "FOR NOXUS!"

"A champion like this is almost unbeatable, almost being the word, coming second to the arena is the one man who made the mountain loose the master of the lighting style, the Ionian that calls himself Raitoningu!"

A young man with black hair and loose clothes entered the arena, Sett saw the mountain visibly tense and let out a long breath.

The Ionian crowd went nuts for their champion, he was in their eyes the most likely to win. Sett didn't give a damn, all he cared about is that the crowd loved the matches.

"No rules, fight until one of you falls unconscious, surrenders or can't fight anymore. Death will not be penalized but avoid it… is bad for my business" Sett said to both fighters and motioned to one of his men to act as referee, not that the sucker would do much only declaring the match over and stopping someone from dying.

Sett started to walk back to his position atop of the arena, there he would enjoy the matches from a more private place and if he maybe found a cute girl on the way there, then the night would get even better. He passed by the bettors and the people drinking, all that money went to his pocket.

Well not all of it, he had to pay the bouncers and the ladies, fighters had to be payed according to their performance and he needed to fix the arena and maybe he could expand the place after this…

"Excuse me Mr. Sett" a voice said startling him, damn was he really that caught up in his own thoughts that he didn't notice someone sneaking up on him.

"Yeah, who the hell are you?" he said and faced the man completely

"My name is Tajir, I come from Shurima, the land of the sun" he said as he bowed humbly to him, Sett nodded at him. He liked Shurima lots of gold things lots of good fighters and tanned beauties "Not to sound rude but what do you need Tajir, I am a little busy at the moment"

A lie, but he really didn't want to be bothered, Tajir nodded at him "Running this place does seem like a lot of hard work so I will be brief, I present to you with goods, a fighter like you have never seen"

A fighter like he had never seen huh? Ah what the hell he would give it a shot "Come to my office, he will take you there" he motioned to one of his men to help the Shuriman.

He reached his office and watched the fight, he had missed a large chunk of it but it was clear that Raitoningu was winning the mountain was bleeding heavily and he looked out of breath.

Electricity formed on Raitoningu fists, he was ending this Sett realized and he couldn't help but to scoff.

"You paid me just to get your ass kicked? Thought you wanted revenge"

Raitoningu jumped high into the air and came down on his opponent like lightening, but faster than the eye could blink the mountain had stood up with his fist raised sickening crack was heard across the arena and he heard a couple of people scream in shock.

"Son of… he figured it out" Sett said impressed, the Mountain had his arm broken bent in a way so brutal that the bone had pierced the skin, but that was nothing compared to what had happened to the master of lighting, his face was torn off and he laid in a pool of blood. And unstable force met an unmovable object, but the mountain had met him halfway, going that fast and hitting something that strong was recipe for disaster

Sett whistled "Poor bastard, well there goes most people's bets" chuckling he reclined back on his seat and waited for the next fighters to arrive, a bloodthirsty warrior from Freljord against a thief of Shurima.

"Mr. Sett"

Speaking of Shurima, Tajir had returned and with a huge metal box and some guards too they all had weary eyes to the cage as it trashed a cloth covering most of it.

"Look the cage is a nice touch, but a little dramatic don't you think?" Sett said as he approached the tall cage "Sadly the cage is not for show, the fighter does not cooperate very well, he had to be… restrained"

Sett frowned at that "Look pal, I don't do slaves, not my thing"

Tajir looked desperate "Please my lord her fighting abilities are out of this world"

"Her?" Sett said with a raised eyebrow and without waiting for Tajir he yanked the cloth, revealing a beautiful girl staring at him in fright. Purple eyes met his and he stared at her for a moment, before his frown deepened he shook his head "Look if you don't explain me what the hell…"

"It's her skin! Look her skin is otherworldly strikes do not affect her" and as if to prove his point he used a cane to strike her making her skin glow purple. But that didn't impress Sett if anything it made him furious, no one deserved to be pocked like an animal, it brought him bad memories. He grabbed the smaller man by the collar and brought him eye to eye with him "Get out, take her and get out off my place now before I reconsider"

Sett saw him pale, but not at him but at the girl "Please you don't understand she brings monster and ruin to every place she goes, Shurima is no longer safe because of her I brought her to the farthest place I could think off, I just want to save my people, you don't even have to pay me, we tried to kill her but it doesn't work"

Sett looked at him dead in the eye and saw honesty, fear could not be faked, he took another look at the gagged girl and let out a sigh "Fine, but leave before I change my mind"

Tajir let out a sigh of relief and turned to his people they all quickly nodded and basically ran out of the room "We managed to subdue her by hitting her multiple times on the head, she can't die but she does feel" was the last cryptic warning Tajir gave him before he too disappeared into the night.

"… what the hell?" was all Sett could mutter to himself as he scratched the back of his head, looking back at the cage he noticed that it was locked and the had given him no key, snorting he walked up to the cage and delivered a powerful strike to the lock shattering it, he smiled at the brass knuckles before his senses spiked up.

"Oh sh…" like a missile the girl swung the cage open and lunged at him chocking him with her claw like hands, Sett hissed as he felt skin being torn, he pushed her face with one hand and with other delivered a blow to her liver, the same blow that had finished the fight he had earlier that same night. But the girl only frowned at him, and applied more pressure.

All right then, plan B.

Using his legs Sett pushed her off him and followed it with a knee strike to the head, he backed away hoping to see her stumble but she only glared at him.

"Look lady don't make me do this, I just saved your ass" if his mom knew he was fighting a girl he wouldn't hear the end of it, but he was sure that she would let it slide if she knew that SHE WAS TRYING TO KILL HIM!

Sett got no reply, only strikes being thrown his way. He grunted, she was fast, ridiculously fast, but he noticed something peculiar. If he wasn't a fighter he wouldn't have noticed but she was tired, her eyes kept closing and couldn't focus him correctly, her breathing was erratic. Sett set up a trap, he lowered his guard making it look like an accident and she lunged at the opportunity, she tried to claw him but he grabbed her arm and swung her over his shoulder slamming her to the ground. He didn't give her time to recover and prepared to slam his fist to her face, but he stopped himself. Those purple eyes.

They stared at him in fright, he groaned and let his head drop into his hands "Why did you raise me so well ma?" and he opened the door "Go I don't care, just leave" Sett said and sat in his chair once again, gods he looked cool. Freljord won he was not that surprised, their brutality was legendary, he wondered if the pirate would win that would be hilarious. He heard a large thunk and saw the girl dragging herself towards the exit but she looked near death.

"No Sett don't do it, you have things to do… the fights are really good… I hate myself" he said as he went over to his desk and grabbed a cup of wine and a fruit, he approached the girl carefully making her look at him nervously, but he simply shrugged and set the cup near her mouth "Drink" he said the girl stared at him confused, by the spirit this girl. He rolled his eyes and placed the cup on her lips pouring it, getting the hint she drank as fast as she could, not a god idea with wine as she soon descended into a coughing fit.

"Sorry but I don't drink water… well here anyways I have an image to uphold" he handed the girl the fruit and thankfully she actually took it, good he was no babysitter.

She munched at the honey fruit quickly staring at him "See, not a bad guy" he said with a soft smile, and suddenly her purple skin stabbed the girl in the head freaking him out.

"What the f…"

"Thank you"

'Holy crap she talks' thought Sett as he managed to nod at her "I guess you can understand me now"

"Yes, I had never heard anyone talk like you before, it confused me a lot" she said tilting her head, as if questioning him why he was different. Sett grunted he was not the weirdo in this conversation "That's because you're in Ionia now, we all talk like this, well most of us some people speak other… you know what never mind I have a lot of questions, starting with who are you"

"You don't need to know that" she said bluntly making Sett roll his eyes "I guess I can just call you weird girl from now on, how about that" she frowned but didn't argue with him.

"So weird girl, why do people hate you?" that actually got her, she looked downcast for a second "They fear me because they don't understand me all I want is to save them from the evil but… no one gets what I do"

A selfless hero, damn he didn't get her type at all. He was beaten by everyone so he beat back, and look at him now swimming in cash. Success built regardless of the cost and ESPECIALLY at the cost of others, so he didn't know what to say. A pat on the back would do, but as soon as he did that he was zapped.

"What the hell that stings!" he said as he shook his hand, but the girl was not listening to him. Entranced she barely picked herself up and looked down at the arena, her eyes darted back and forward until she found what she was looking for a caped person was approaching The Mountain, with what looked like to be a broken sword.

"Crap" Sett said and turned to look at the weird girl but she had disappeared, then his window shattered and a purple torpedo had launched itself towards the robed figure, tackling it with so much strength that it catapulted both of them into the arena. Sett cursed and ran towards the pit, cursing his luck, most people knew to stay away from the boss when he looked mad so they opened a path for him. Back in the arena the hooded figure tried its best to keep up with the purple girl.

"That power… you shouldn't have it" the purple said as she kicked the hooded figure in the face, Riven groaned in pain and cursed as her cover had been blown she just wanted to ask the mountain about the people that came after her here in Ionia, but it wasn't meant to be apparently she just needed to run. Stabbing the girl in the leg should be enough but no matter how much she struck her she didn't cut her, cursing she used the runes on her blade to strike at her with a more powerful blow. That did some damage, making the purple girl scream in pain, but before Riven could run a purple beam struck her leg making her bleed.

"You're marked prey"

Riven shivered in fear, but she wouldn't back down. She raised her blade and brought it down towards her opponents head, Kai'Sa blocked with both of her arms and glared at her opponent making Riven glare right back, but they both felt pressure on the back of their heads.

Sett smashed bot of their skulls together making both of them pass out, Kai'Sa from exhaustion and pain and Riven simply from pain. Before they hit the ground like a sack of potatoes he grabbed them both and placed them on his shoulders. He glared at the crowd "Anyone else feels like starting something, HUH?!" he yelled, silence greeted him and he nodded making it seem like he was going to throw them bot out and that's what he would have done, weren't for one tiny little fact.

They both owed him dammit.

A/N: Sett make his appearance in this new story of mine, hope you enjoyed the first chapter. I will see you in the next update!
