At the secret CAT base, everyone were either preparing for the Day of Unity or doing their own things. Sasha was busy sparring with General Yunan while Steve and Eberwolf were watching them.

Sasha deflected Yunan's wrist blades with her dual swords while Yunan was deflecting Sasha's blades brilliantly.

Yunan tried to stab Sasha in the face, but she deflected the blade and then threw a knife towards Yunan who deflected the knife with her blades. Then got kicked in the face by Sasha, causing her to fall on the ground.

Sasha pointed her sword at Yunan's neck and grinned at her. "Do you yield?"

Yunan grinned at Sasha. "Ya know Sash, you know some demons here have tails."

"Huh?" Before Sasha could react, Yunan grabbed Sasha by her ankle with her tail and knocked her down. The toad lieutenant landed on her rear with a thud.

Yunan shot back up and placed one of her blades on Sasha's neck. "Give up?"

"Nice try." Sasha then kicked Yunan on her ankle, causing her to almost fall on her rear but luckily, her tail broke the fall.

Then, the two continued their sparring lesson while Steve and Eberwolf were watching the fight eating some popcorn together.

Lilith approached the two. "So, who's winning?" Lilith asked.

"I don't know." Steve replied. "They have been at it for the last two hours."

"At this point, there could be no winner." Eberwolf suddenly speaking caused Steve and Lilith to go wide eyed.

"Wait, you could talk?!" Lilith exclaimed in shock. Eberwolf didn't respond and just continued to eat their popcorn. The silence made Lilith groan. "No wonder I didn't talk to you a lot."

While this went on, Marcy was following Darius by barraging him with a million questions about witches and the Demon Realm. The former Coven Head was already annoyed by her constant pestering.

"So, do witches reproduce?" Marcy asked.

"We have our ways." Darius replied.

"Like what?"

"Uh…I don't wish to talk about it."

"Too graphic, I see." Marcy said. "But do witches get pregnant?"

"Only the ones that can."

"Oh, so with magic do you get to decide the gender before birth or after the birth so in years time the child can figure it out themselves?" Darius sighed in annoyance. "Judging by that sigh I assume that's graphic. Okay, but can witches have babies with other creatures?"

Darius then noticed Hooty. "Hey Hooty, do you want to tell Marcy about the birds and the fire bees?"

"Do I?!" Hooty exclaimed as he slithered up to Marcy. "I have all the questions for your curiosity."

"Oh cool! I have a lot of questions about the Demon Realm!" Marcy exclaimed.

"Okay so, witches have many ways to reproduce." Hooty started. "One of them are we call the birds and the fire bees. You see, when two witches love each other very much, they decide they want a baby. One witch would use one bodily function to…."

Darius sighed in relief. "I thought she wouldn't leave me alone. Thank the Titan."

Then Amber walked up to Darius. "Hey Darius, how does human reproduction work?"

Darius groaned in annoyance. "Titan help me."

Meanwhile in Luz and Eda's room, Luz was busy trying to carve her Palisman. So far, she was doing well though it was taking forever. Then, she carved it so hard that the knife slipped and cut a bit of her skin.

"Ow!" Luz looked at her bleeding finger and groaned. "King!"

"Coming boo-boo buddy." King declared with a pack of plasters. King took a strap from the box and placed it on Luz's finger along with her other plasters.

"Hey Luz, that Palisman can wait." Eda said. "You can take a break."

"Eda…"

"Hey! Don't argue you with me." Eda interjected. "We have three weeks." Luz put down her Palistrom wood and carving knife so she and Eda could talk. "How you doing?"

"Terrible." Luz replied before showing Eda her injuries on her hand. "I cut myself."

"Hey, nobody's the perfect Palisman carver." Eda said. "My dad somehow cut himself on the shoulder when he began carving Palisman for the first time. And when I was carving Owlbert…" She stroked Owlbert. "…I cut myself a lot. Took me a month to finish him."

"You think I can finish my Palisman in three weeks?" Luz asked.

"If a human can survive the Demon Realm and make friends and a girlfriend, then a human can make a Palisman in three weeks." Eda replied.

Her comforting words made Luz smile before hugging her surrogate mother. "Thanks Eda. All the cuts and scratches will be worth it in the end."

Pacifica approached the door and gave a gentle knock. "Hey you three, how's it doing?"

"Doing well." King replied. "Well, with me and Francois on the other hand…" He points to Francois, whom was sitting in the corner. "….We needed some space."

"And how goes the Palisman carving, Luz?" Pacifica asked.

Luz raised her hands. "I think my hands can speak for themselves."

Pacifica cringed. "Ouch. That must hurt. Anyway, it's not scratches from a carving knife you need to be worried about." She narrowed her eyes at Eda, who seemed genuinely confused.

"Uh…What?" Eda responded.

Pacifica just clenched her fists. "I think you know full well." She walked out, still angry.

Eda on the other hand, was befuddled. "What did I ever do to her?!"

"I don't know." King replied. "Eda, did you pull the toilet seat up again?"

"I did, but it was Steve who fell in." Eda said.

Then, Steve walked beside the room, soaked in water. "Okay, there is meant to be a rule about the toilet seat." Steve said.

"Well if it isn't the toilet seat then what is it?" King asked.

Luz knew what this meant and sighed. "The Connecticut Incident."

"The whatty what incident?" King asked.

Eda sighed. "Oh, I think I know. Okay, around seven to eight years ago, I was out in the Human Realm doing my usual stuff. Causing mischief and mayhem and trying to find hair dye because my beautiful orange locks were disappearing faster than I anticipated. But due to my bad hair day, I forgot my elixir. So, I started causing trouble as the Owl Beast or as those Gravesfield folk called me, The Beast of Connecticut. As you know I love attention, but when it came to attention like that, I was not comfortable with it. After I retrieved my elixir, I returned to Gravesfield to hopefully clear this mess up. I thought I could probably find my ex husband Stan to use his criminal magic."

"I think I met your ex husband." Luz said.

"What?!"

"He's the uncle of Pacifica's boyfriend." Luz explained.

"Oh, well that explains why he asked me if I knew a Stan Pines." Eda said. "Okay, going by Marilyn I was about to call up Stan but then I find out that there were humanoid animal creatures sighted around town and causing havoc, I thought this would be a chance for me to get rid of my existence from the papers. During my search, I inadvertently saved the brown haired kid and his blonde girlfriend from a bear human who I dubbed Bearry. After I saved them, the young boy was excited about meeting a witch, he didn't seemed all creeped out by me. He told me he was investigating the mysterious humanoid beasts along with that girl and some cop."

"That cop was my dad." Luz said.

Eda gasped. "Wait, what?"

"Yeah, that cop was my dad." Luz said sadly. "I think you know how it went."

Eda sighed sadly. "Oh Luz, that's awful."

Luz had tears falling from her eyes. "Just finish the story."

"Okay, okay." Eda Clare's her throat. "Anyway, we eventually found out that blondie's dad turned out to be performing experiments on a bunch of people they think common folk would never have missed. Like criminals or homeless people. Then at one random moment, as I was freeing the prisoners, I ran out of elixirs and turned into the Owl Beast. My memory is a bit hazey at that point but I eventually found a bottle of elixir I dropped and I guess the Owl Beast subconsciously drank it because I woke up in the woods with my clothes still on thankfully. I mean, one aspect of the curse I never did fully understand was how the heck my clothes still stayed on even after the transformation. Off topic, sorry! Anyway, I did see the aftermath of the incident. I returned as Marilyn and came up with a good lie to explain my absence, I was knocked out by the beast of Connecticut. Blondie explained what happened while I saved those people but when in actuality, I was still that beast. I attacked the two with Dipper getting the worst of it as I gave him a huge scratch on his back and he was losing a lot of blood. The cop, your father, got killed by Preston since he was intent on killing Dipper while he was out. I eventually left after the incident after a very above average goodbye to the two. I returned a couple of days later and found out that I everyone in Gravesfield have forgotten about the humanoid animals. Plus, I saw a couple of them now as humans. Like, the whole incident had never happened. It was like their whole memories of that day were gone. Oh and also, I forgot about my quest to find hair dye and my hair was now grey. But thankfully, I made the look work. I was like a hot grandma. But then, I guess when you told her of me and when she saw me again, I guess she put the pieces of the puzzle together."

King and Luz took the story in and gave each other concerned looks. They saw that throughout the story, Eda had guilt on her face as she reminisced the story.

"But you had no control of what you were doing." King said.

"I know." Eda said. "Ya know how lucky I am that I never killed anyone as that thing? But in that moment out of all the things that I almost killed, it was a child! A 13 year old kid! Around Marcy's age! And you know what's a coincidence?!" Eda suddenly had feathers sprout, causing her to calm down. "Sorry, hang on." She dug into her hair and found some elixir that she drank with one swig. "And you know what's a coincidence? You happen to have saved an entire world with that same boy I almost killed, now grown up into a terrible author."

"It was one book." Luz said.

"I read some of his work." Eda said. "I never really got into it. And now, his girlfriend is here giving me the stink eye."

"Listen Eda, you should probably talk to her." Luz suggested. "I told her about the curse so she knows. But, I think making peace with each other might be a good start if we want to defeat Belos and stop the Day of Unity."

Eda sighed. "I don't know Luz…."

"Hey Eda, look how far you and Lilith have come." Luz said, referring to how she and Eda fell out but then fixed things together.

Eda had a thought about it for a minute before she got up. "You're right. I better talk to her."

Outside, Pacifica and Raine were talking about stuff. "So wait, you ghosted your girlfriend, who you just got back together with in order to keep her safe?"

Raine cringed. "Yeah."

Pacifica shook her head. "I'm surprised she wasn't the one dumping you this time."

"Like your boyfriend hasn't kept any secrets from you." Raine retorted.

Pacifica tried to think of a smart response but then gave Raine a deadpanned look. "Okay point taken. But most of those were to either A: Trick an enemy or B: Surprise parties."

Eda then approached the two. "Hey babe."

Raine blushed. "Hi sweetie."

"Do you mind if me and Pacifica talk?" Eda asked. "I want to talk to her about something."

Raine gave their girlfriend a nod. "Okay."

Once Raine left, Pacifica turned to Eda and crossed her arms. "What do you want?"

"Look, I know you're probably angry about what I did years ago." Eda said. "Plus, I'm surprised you actually figured it out. Weren't you a lot dumber the first time we met?"

Pacifica's eye began to twitch, a sign that she was angry and annoyed. "What?!"

"Take that as a compliment." Eda said. "You're a lot smart now." Pacifica huffed before marching away towards her bedroom and Eda began to follow. "Hey! Hey! Okay, that was a bad start! I admit that! But, let me apologise for what I did all those years ago to your boyfriend."

Pacifica stopped and sighed. "Look, I know you don't have control of your curse. Luz told me. I just….Don't know if I can fully trust you after what happened between you and Dipper all those years ago."

"Well, he's still alive isn't he?" Eda asked.

"Yeah."

"Making those crappy books."

Pacifica laughed. "It was just one time."

"Nah, it was all the time." Eda said. "In my opinion."

"Well, Dipper did get a massive scratch from you but he did survive." Pacifica explained. "Though, there was a lot of blood that day. After you scratched him he was bleeding out very bad. I tried to stop it, but he was going pale very fast. Thankfully, the doctors did save him. But unfortunately, he has a massive scar on his back."

Eda looked at the floor with regret. "Did….Did I ever ruin his life?"

Pacifica smiled. "Not really. He thought the scar made him look cool. Like a fighter. I told him how much of a dork that attitude made him."

"Hey, he is right." Eda said. "Scars are pretty cool. Sasha knows how to work them."

Sasha walked past wiping a towel on her face, giving Eda a thumbs up. "Thanks Eda."

"The scars never haunted Dipper, but they have always haunted me." Pacifica sighed. "He almost died that day. Plus it's more concerning every time he goes on some random adventure where he puts himself in danger by going on some random supernatural monster hunt. I try not to worry for him, but I always am. Especially when we were in Amphibia fighting that monster, The Core. I was still scared for him. So when I look at you, all I kind of see is the same woman who transforms into the beast that almost killed Dipper. I'm just lucky he lived long enough so we could be together."

Eda placed her hand on Pacifica's shoulder and sighed. "I'm sorry that this happened. But that beast has ruined my life as well. I hurt a lot of people both in a physical sense and…." She looked at Raine, whom was laughing at whatever Marcy was saying our inquiring. "…emotionally. But that thing has affected my life too much and sometimes, I get scared. I get scared that I will someday lose control and hurt someone I deeply care about. Do you know what that's like?"

Pacifica placed her hand on Eda's shoulder and gave her a gentle smile. "I've never been treated like a monster, but I understand what you're going through. Being given something you never wanted must have ruined you in some way. Okay, I will admit, I'm still upset about you almost killing my boyfriend all those years ago, but I'm willing to try and trust you. Because what's going on is more important."

"Glad you're willing to fight against a monarch in a world you hardly know." Eda said.

"Because my little brother needs my help and I'm willing to fight him."

Eda raised an eyebrow. "Uh…."

"Hunter."

Eda chortled. "Hunter, your little bro? Don't make me laugh!" Eda began to laugh super hard whilst Pacifica gave her a judgemental glare. "Seriously don't make me laugh!"

"Annnnd, I'm going in my room." Pacifica declared before walking in her room.

Eda stopped laughing. "Okay! I'm done! Can we still be allies?"

Meanwhile at Blight Manor, Amity was pacing around her room worried about the upcoming events regarding the Day of Unity. Her twin siblings were with her to give her some hope.

"Be cool Mittens, everything will work out." Emira said with assurance.

"Yeah…Your girlfriend has those powers." Edric said. "Does she?"

"The powers came from the gems." Amity said. "And with them being destroyed she'll be unstoppable against Belos. And so will Sasha."

"Well, they defeated a god." Emira said.

"But Belos….He's powerful!" Amity exclaimed. "They can't stop him!"

"We just need to stop Mom and dad." Edric said.

"Yeah, we can do that in three weeks." Emira said with confidence. "We can right, Mittens?"

Amity gave her sister a worried and unsure look. "I don't know. I don't know if we can stop Belos. I don't know if Luz can stop him."

The siblings exchanged worried glances before getting in a hug with each other. "I just hope I won't be put in a full body cast." Edric said.

Edric's comment made Amity a chuckle a bit. Sometimes, she loved his stupidity. "Thanks for the levity." But then, Amity's smile vanished as she worried about Luz and everyone else in the Demon Realm. Would she be able to stop Belos? Could she stop Belos?
