….

One month later

Ana was so happy that Christian was getting better. He was still at home, but now his head was covered with peach fuzz. He was working out from home as it was a sterile environment and he was eating much better. His new vegan diet was perfect as cancer was unable to live in an alkalined body. His vitamin c intake went up with his doctor visits, and the family was stunned to see him looking better. Christian still needed his rest, but it was a peaceful rest. And every night Ana thanked God that she was able to see her fiance recover. The company was also doing great as well. Ros was running it like a well oiled machine and with Ana taking over the legal aspect nothing was out of place. Christian often joked with Ana telling her that he wished he found her sooner so he could've taken more vacations.

"You could never. You're a work-aholic. I bet you money right now that you're thinking about going into your office and having coffee."
Christian glared at her when she mentioned the other c word that his holistic and the lung specialist advised him against as chemo often caused heartburn and in some cases coffee with the side effects of chemo could cause acid reflux or GERD.

Ana had moved into the penthouse in the sky as she found herself preferring to being near Christian and she was trying to figure out someone who she could sublet it to. What surprised Ana the most was that her father called to speak with Christian. The two men nerver divulged anything, but she could tell that her father and Christian enjoyed speaking with one another. So, everything in her life was finally looking right. The only thing that was annoying her was Christian's ex suddenly disappearing to another country after announcing that they had a kid only for it to die tragically just didn't sit right. A month ago, when Ana asked Malik to look into Leila he was able to find information in less than three days.

"Nothing flattery to say about this one. She was a college student, got a degree in liberal arts. Moved downtown to a small shoebox apartment. Worked as a waitress. She then met a very wealthy bachelor who put her in a better place and took her around the world. She was living the high-life. Then suddenly they broke up. The reason? She was sleeping with the best friend. He had even more money, and she was with him for two years. She pretty much did the same routine with two other men. Her fourth relationship funded her boutique store and when it began to flourish she broke up with that boyfriend and was seen at social events, selling her merchandise to the elite of Seattle."

Ana whistled.

"A true gold digger."

"You called it," Malik said easily. "She was single for a moment until she met Christian Grey at fundraiser event thrown by her father. Funny enough, she came from money but it seemed that hse wanted more. She wanted these men to fund that. They dated for a while but they broke up about six months later. No one ever knew why."
But Ana did. It was because of Christian suffering from chemo the first time.

"Anything else?"

"Yeah. She moved to Saudia Arabia."

Ana frowned.

"I thought she moved to Paris."
Malik checked over his notes.

"No boss. She made have said that to cover up her tracks. But she moved to Saudia Arabia. My guess is that she didn't want the extradition."

"Why wouldn't she want that?"

"Because it shows that a miss Leila Williams reported her son as dead from a fatal car crash. That obviously wasn't true. The pictures in the file are the same pictures of the boy she is currently with right now."

Malik shrugged before sliding over a file.

"These were taken about a week ago. In it, she is holding the hand of a boy named Connor. They are talking to what looks like Amal Kadar. He is the CEO of a fortune 500 company. My guess is, the way she is turned away from the camera she doesn't want Connor's picture taken."
Ana's hands were shaking as she ran her hands over the pictures. She could see the boy who was an exact replica of Christian. The hair, the eyes, and even the mouth structure."

Ana had no words. She didn't know what made women so evil, to keep a boy from his real father. Leila was a real piece of work.

"The boy is alive."

"Alive and well. He is six years old. The guy I have didn't want to get too close, but he says it looks just like Christian Grey."
Ana looked up into Malik's piercing gaze before he spoke lowly.

"How does the CEO not know he has a living son?"
Ana knew that Malik was a smart man. And she could see that bull-shitting him wasn't going to work.

"Because that woman you did an investigative search on lied to him about it."
Malike crossed his arms over his massive chest.

"Ana, if I'm going to help anymore, I need to know what's going on?"
So, taking a deep breath, Ana explained everything.

Ana had been sitting on this information for a month. After her long conversation with Malik, who promised to not tell a soul-save for his now girlfriend Jessica-Ana called Kate to tell her the news. Weeks later, Kate finally had enough time to meet, and they chose to do it at Ana's office.

….

Briefcase in hand Ana strolled into the kitchen and smiled when she saw Christian reading on his tablet. He was wearing glasses which she found insanely sexy and ran her hands through his soft hair.

"Hey baby," she said before leaning over and kissing his lips. Christian groaned before dropping the tablet and pulling her over the couch into his arms. Ana giggled in surprise at Christian's strength.

"You're getting your mojo back."

He smiled even as he kissed her again.

"Yes. I told the doctor that he needs to speed this up because I need to have sex again. My fiance is too hot to not have me tapping that."
Ana hit his chest before glaring at him.

"Christian! You did not tell your doctor that!"
"I did," he said looking pleased with himself. "He admitted that you were beautiful, but he couldn't speed up anything, and that I had to let my body heal itself. He did tell me that we would revisit the conversation in another month. So there is that," he said lightly. Ana rolled her eyes even as she blushed.

"Christian, you need to focus on getting better."
"I need to focus on a goal to get better so that I can fuck you. And you're not going anywhere for the next two days when I get the greenlight. So I hope you handle your legal affairs. I don't care if it's a weekday."

Ana shivered at the desire in his gaze even as she swallowed.

"We will see."

"Nothing to see," he said before slapping her ass. Ana laughed before prying herself away from her horny fiance.

"I'm off to work. I need to review several cases for a final review and-"

"Is that all you have to do?" he said with his brow raised. Christian muted the music that was playing in the background and gave Ana his full attention. She plastered on her poker face.

"Yes. Why, is there something I should know about?"

"You tell me," he countered taking off his glasses. "Taylor informs me that Kate dropped by to speak with you."
Snitch, Ana thought.

"Yes. She wanted to help me talk over some wedding details."
"That sounds interesting."

"Oh? Why do you say that?" Ana asks while adjusting her form-fitting yellow dress and heels to match. Christian's eyes rove over her body appreciatively even as he spoke.

"It's just you and her have such differing styles when it comes to a wedding. Besides, you are not into having a lavish society wedding."

"You would be correct. However, I do want to know the right people to invite. You are quite the influential man Mr. Grey," Ana said with a smile. Christian continued to study her and after a minute gave a nod.

"Alright. Next time maybe have her come in while you discuss the wedding? No need to do it away from me. It doesn't bother me."
Ana leaned over and kissed him again.

"I know it doesn't. But knowing Kate it will be a mix of wedding stuff and women stuff. Nothing for men's fragile ears."

At that, Christian's lip quirked up a bit at the corner.

"I don't think you and Kate talk about could be anything I haven't heard before."

"Oh, you'd be surprised," she said patting his leg gently. Christian's eyes widened at that which caused her to laugh.

The moment she was in her office Kate came in about seven minutes later.

"Word of the wise. If you're coming over, make sure you say that it's to talk about wedding things. Christian is starting to catch on."

Kate exhaled loudly.

"Oh! I had no clue. Don't worry I will say that if I come over. I am still digesting all the information you were able to get from Malik weeks ago," Kate said as she took a seat across from Ana. Ana nodded.

"I know. It's a lot. And since she is in Saudi Arabia, there is nothing that the U.S. can do in regard to the child. Malik's guy got close, but he didn't want to raise too much suspicion. My guess is that Leila took the child as more of a bargaining chip to get close to this new guy. Using the kid is terrible, but based on what you told me fits into her track record," Kate stated. Ana agreed.

"Now that we know she's in Saudi Arabia, and she's staying at the Four Seasons executive penthouse suite. Malik was able to get the itinerary, and it seems that she will be checking out in six days. I'm thinking that I need to take a trip to speak with her and grab the boy. I want to reason with her."
Kate frowned.

"You think that is best?"

"I do. I think I understand her somewhat. And who knows where they will wind up next? But that is Christian's son, and he needs to be with him. Besides those pictures don't show Connor looking happy right now."
Kate took the file and glanced over them. Her heart hurt at the sad look in the little boys' gaze.

"You're right. He doesn't look happy." Kate closed the file. "But are you ready to be a mom?"

Ana smiled a bit.

"Yes. It's what I've always wanted. Granted I know Christian and I will have children. But I do want Connor. He is an innocent boy. He can't help that his mother is a terrible gold-digging idiot."

"He needs his real family. And Connor looks exactly like Christian." Kate then smiled.

"So, what's the plan to bring him home?"
Ana smiled.

"I was thinking you, me and Mia could take a girl's trip. Inform Mia of what's going on. We need to leave on Thursday. Does everyone have their passports up to date?" Ana asked. Kate snorted.

"Of course I do, and Mia just left Paris some months ago so I know she does. What are you going to tell Christian?"
"That I am going on a trip with you two. I'll say you won a girl's trip from your job raffle. Do you think Elliot can watch your kids for a couple of days?"

Kate laughed at that.

"Not alone. I will ask Grace to watch him." Kate bit her lip. "Should we say anything to Christian's parents?"

Ana stood and walked over to the window.

"No. At first I wanted to, but I want to make sure we can bring him home. I will then have Christian explain everything to the family when we have the boy back."

"Sounds good. Logical even. Alright. Let me get back to work. I'll tell them that a fmaily emergency came up and I will be unable to work for the rest of the weekend. Then I'll tell Mia the plan." Kate stood and clapped. "This is amazing! We're like a girl mission impossible group!"

Ana shook her head.

"Kate. Really?"
She grinned.

"Yes really."
….

Ana left her office, heading for Malik's when he heard whispering in the hall. Recognizing Jose's voice she slid into the hidden entryway that no one hardly paid attention to.

"What has she been doing?"

"I don't know! Jose, she's my cousin. She is not going to tell me everything that she is going to be doing." Jose gripped Cassandra's arm.

"Leila is your cousin! For forging the car accident documents we were suppose to get a serious cut of the money. I no longer want to be here working with my ex being my boss. How do you think that makes me feel?"

Cassandra whimpered.

"You're hurting me."
"Your cousin not paying is hurting me!" He volleyed back. "Make sure she finds that sheik whoever who is paying to fuck her then send me my money. Then I'll never have to see your sorry face again," he said before storming off in the opposite direction. Ana hid in the shadows eyes wide with sudden realization. Cassandra waited a few before walking in the opposite direction. When she felt the coast was clear Ana hurried to Malik's office. She knocked once before entering. Normally Ana would've laughed at her secretary sitting in Malik's lap feeding him cheesecake while his hand was on Jessica's ass but she had other things to worry about.

"Malik. We need to talk."

The man's eyes widened as Jessica gave a small shout and stood with the cheesecake and fork. She flushed all the way to the roots of her hair.

"Um, Ms. Steele I apologize I-"

"It's fine Jessica. I need to speak with Malik alone. It's important." She gave a hasty nod, glanced at Malik as if she were in pain and sprinted out of the office. Malik covered his face with a groan.

"I am so sorry boss."

Ana waved that off.

"Truly Malik I don't care, I'm happy for you both. This is about Cassandra and Jose." Instantly he became alert.

"What's going on?"
