A/N: Lots of Fourth Wall breaks here. feeling loopy.
Double update today; this and Forget Me Not...if I'm not in the hospital.
Could barely manage this today, smacked my head and can barely write today from the pain, probably going to get X-rays if the pain doesn't stop. Wish me luck T_T
Now, then...let's finish this.
With my fifteen year anniversary on this site here, I find myself reflecting on the little things in life. What was once a lazy pastime meant for me and a few friends really grew and evolved over time. There are days when I look back on the last fifteen years here and I wonder if anyone will remember me; if I made an impact, despite never making a single cent on any of these stories. Some days were happier than others, and some stories I enjoyed writing WAY too much; to the point where I'd stay up all night working on them.
And of course, there are times when I look to the future and wonder what will become of things when I'm gone.
Of course, I try not to dwell on the latter overmuch; I'm still alive and still writing. In an ideal world, I'd like to keep doing so for as long as I can. But old age is catching up to me and these days, the world is filled with so much madness and death. The recent earthquake in Turkey/Syria serves as a terrible example. Even before that, so many friends and fellow writers I once knew are gone, now. Will I still be here in twenty years? Ten? Five? Its a chilling thought. But for now, I'm still here, still writing.
No questions this time. Only the merry madness of this story.
As ever I own no references, quotes, memes or themes. Not a wit or one! They're tributes to legends far greater than I.
Really, that's bloody obvious by now. So here goes nothing.
"Here, let me put in words you can understand.
This village is mine. This world is mine.
Gotta problem? Too bad."

Not My Ending
What had he stumbled into this time?
Chris Redfield had seen some shit in his day. He expected some sort of chaos when he came down to the Village to be sure, he'd grown almost inured to it over a long and storied career. Zombies, viruses, monsters, the very end of the world. He liked to thin he'd seen it all.
But this? The sight before him took the cake, jumped the shark and ate both.
What the hell...?
"Shhhh." a lone finger rose. "Keep your voice down. You'll wake her."
"You have gotta be shitting-
"Language, young man." The horned man individual seated in the throne before him tutted softy, rocking a small child in his arms. "Don't make me wash your mouth out with soap...or a rasengan. I don't think you'd survive the latter, ya know?"
Shaking his head, Redfield tried to rally. "This place can't be allowed to exist. We're taking you in."
"Yeeeaaaah, no. Walk away, Chris. If you wake little Miranda up, I'll tan your hide."
Miranda? He looked back to the child in the man's arms. "Is that...
A blond brow wagged his way. "What do you think?
"I think you need to explain."
"Me?" Naruto tilted his head. "What do I have to explain? You made this mess because you couldn't be bothered to tell Ethan that Miranda had taken his WIFE. I And lets not forget what cam after? She disguised herself as said wife, lived in his house with him and his daughter and what did you do? Shot up the place, traumatized the man, and took his daughter. Nevermind that she escaped anyway. But no, no, no, the plot must advance." he waved a hand, idly conjuring up a gale. "Shock value and all that. Well, here's a shock for you. This village. MINE."
What?
"Did I stutter? Maybe I'll be nicer to you in the other story. Maybe not. You're a bit of an idiot in this game.
"Game?" His head was spinning. "Other story?"
"Yeah, Love Bites. Give it a read sometime. "Probably getting updated soon if the author doesn't work himself to death."
He heard a faint shattering sound in the distance.
"Hear that?" the horned man cocked his head and placed a hand to his ear. "That's the fourth wall breaking. Now I'd rather not kill you, and I'm not about to ravage your mind out of petty spite. I don't do that to good people if I can help it. Soooo in lieu of a punishment, I'm going to send you somewhere nice and comfortable until you calm down. Say hullo to your lady friend for me.
"Why you little-
Naruto snapped his fingers.
The world blurred around him.
(.0.0.0.)
"Wherever did you send him?"
"Pocket dimension." Naruto sang back, regarding the rippling air before him as the portal snapped shut."Someplace comfy. I'll let him out in a few months after he's calmed down." Maybe more...probably. Redfield had ever been a stubborn sort. It would take time, but they had in spades these days. "We'll give Ethan his daughter back once he finds his way here and explain the situation here. Its just not safe out there in the world for her...or him. Better for the kiddo to grow up here, where people understand her."
Alcina laid a suggestive hand upon his shoulder. "And where does that leave us?"
"Dunno." he pawned Miranda off to a clone and turned to face her. "With a happy ending and lots of little pale children, I suppose. Rose gets a few aunts and uncles, Ethan doesn't die-
"You had me at little pale children." She stepped to him, cutting off his escape, not that he would. "That sounds...grand."
Alcina all but pinned him to the wall with one hand. The stone cracked behind his back.
"Heh." Naruto grinned at her. "Miss me-mmph?!"
She muffled his mouth with hers.
All was well.
