AN: This is the last week to vote for which Disney Musical our main characters will be performing in! It's now or never!

Also, AvalorianJaquin has a new Magical World story, "Magical World: What If?" over on AO3 that explores alternate universes and deviations from the main Magical World saga. Go check it out if you have the chance!

The scene shows a video camera being turned on, with our perspective being that of the camera as it shows the interior of Gabriel's cabin on the ship. Sitting on the couch in front of the camera is Gabriel, Sisu, and Ray.

"Hey everyone! Hope the Magical World is doing well while we're on vacation!" Gabriel started. "Before showing the next part of our journey, we just wanted to address some concerns about last chapter that some of you guys were talking about, mostly how what we're calling "The Smoothie Incident" seems to have stirred up a lot of drama."

"Last time, I had to use my Ghost Trick ability to go back in time and reverse Gabriel's death due to him passing out from eating an improperly made smoothie," Ray recapped.

"First, I would like to apologize for not telling Gabriel about the particular ingredient, and that I did apologize to him for that," Sisu said.

"I'd also like to say that you shouldn't blame Sisu for not telling me, but rather that I take the blame for not following her instructions properly to prepare the ingredients in the first place," Gabriel said. He held up the recipe scroll Sisu had given him. "The instructions clearly say here that you have to prepare one particular ingredient correctly, or else it causes major inflammation of the throat that could potentially kill you if not treated right away."

"To put it into perspective, it's like how you can eat pufferfish, but if you don't prepare the fish properly the toxins in it will kill you," Ray added. "The other thing we'd like to add is that the Ghost Trick segment was written to be intentionally comedic, with Gabriel having an absurd way of dying like drinking a poorly made smoothie. We wanted to keep some levity to the situation since we were dealing with a Horror movie villain."

"It was also supposed to be a reference to the "Grimace Shake" meme that was going around at the time The Dragon Saver was writing this. You know, with the whole drinking a dubious dessert and then dying from it," Sisu said.

"Overall we just wanted to have a bit of fun with Ray's Ghost Trick powers, but we are thankful that you were concerned about my well-being," Gabriel said with a smile.

"Also I'd like to not be suplexed by Destiny when I get back home, so I hope this clears things up!" Sisu said.

"Yes, that too," Gabriel nodded. "Anyways, this non-canon explanation is over with. Back to the chapter!" The camera feed cuts out as we return to the main story.

Sports Competition: Wolf vs. Dragon!

"And that's another strike for me!" Azrael cheered, pumping his fist as he ended his set.

"Yeah, go Azrael!" Porsha cheered.

"That's 300 points, a perfect game," Mei Ling nodded.

"Did better than me," Morgana sighed. "The ball is just too big for me to hold properly. Darn my tiny arms…"

"I still think it was fun," Chomper shrugged.

"Didn't you end up throwing your ball backwards at one point, Chomper?" Jasiri pointed out. "The fact that well all did a spin jump at the same time was pretty impressive, though…"

"Well, he's not the only one with a perfect score," Mym said, holding up her own score card. "I happen to have gotten 300 points as well, making us tied."

"Oh, do you want to go again?" Azrael said, crossing his arms. "Because I'm down to see which of us will mess up first."

"I did not expect a version of myself to be so into a sports competition, at least one that's not an E-Sport," Ray mused.

"Same. I'm pretty sure most of us fall more towards the "nerd" side of things," Gabriel nodded.

"I enjoy more intellectual stuff too, it's just that my time with Death in the Epic Universe has given me more of an appreciation for athletics," Azrael explained. "It's why I fight mostly with my khopesh rather than relying on magic, not that either of you are lesser for doing so. We just have other strengths, despite being counterparts to each other."

"You know, if you guys want to make it a competition, Wuhu Island has many more sports to try out," Mineru pointed out. Indeed, the Disney Wish had made a stop at the famous Wuhu Island from the Wii Sports series of games, which was also the gang's first taste in Ray's home of the Gamesphere.

"Then it's settled: I challenge Azrael to a sport-off!" Mym declared.

"You're on, dragon lady," Azrael nodded. "The only rule I'd like to propose is that both of us can only use our bodies, so no powers to interfere with the competition."

"Fair enough," Mym nodded.

"This is going to be interesting…" Gabriel mused. He looked over at Jasiri. "Montage music?"
"Montage music," the hyena agreed.

Gabriel used Fantasia to start playing epic music, while Azrael and Mym sized each other up. "In one corner, the Scion of Death who's the Guardian of Light of the Epic Universe, the defeater of villains and the farer of lost souls: Azrael!" The Epic Universe characters all cheered as Azrael posed, pointing at Mym before giving her a thumb's down gesture.

"And in the other corner, she's the Flamewym of Alberia, the dragon known as Brunhilda, and the master of the flame of passion: Mym!" The Gamesphere characters all cheered while Mym struck a pose, blowing a kiss while winking to the steadily growing crowd. "With all that being said, let the sport competition… begin!"

Rising up, back on the street

Did my time, took my chances

With the two already tying in bowling, the first sport up on the list as Frisbee toss on the beach. After bonding with some of the dogs, Azrael and Mym started competition to see who's dog could most accurate catch the frisbee when thrown.

Went the distance

Now I'm back on my feet

Just a man and his will to survive

Azrael tossed his frisbee with great accuracy, giving a whistle so his dog would jump up to catch the disc. Mym, meanwhile, had a hard time getting the hang of tossing the disc, giving Azrael the win here. "No fair! He's part dog, so that has to be cheating!" the dragoness huffed.

So many times, it happens too fast

You trade your passion for glory

The next sport up was Archery, where the two would take up the bow and arrow and shoot at increasingly further away targets.

Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past

You must fight just to keep them alive

While Azrael and Mym were tied at first, the dragoness surprised everyone by getting all bullseyes on the final target in harsh wind and winning the round. "I think you all forget that I'm a marksman sometimes," Mym giggled, twirling her bow around.

It's the eye of the tiger

It's the thrill of the fight

Rising up to the challenge

Of our rival

The next sport was Basketball, specifically a free throw challenge to see who could make the most baskets.

And the last known survivor

Stalks his prey in the night

And he's watching us all with the eye…!

Of the tiger

The two were dead set on winning this competition, expertly tossing the ball into the hoop. "It's another tied game," Lop pointed out.

"Yep, but there's still more sports to compete in," Gabriel said.

Face to face, out in the heat

Hanging tough, staying hungry

Both Azrael and Mym take a quick break for lunch, both staring each other down as they ate their sandwiches to refuel.

They stack the odds

Still we take to the street

For the kill with the skill to survive

"They're even making eating into a contest…" Mineru shook her head.

It's the eye of the tiger

It's the thrill of the fight

Rising up to the challenge

Of our rival

Next up was Cycling, with the two choosing to bike all the way around Wuhu Island to see who could finish the race faster. Unfortunately for Mym she failed to remember that she had never rode on a bike before, giving Azrael the victory.

And the last known survivor

Stalks his prey in the night

And he's watching us all with the eye!

Of the tiger…

After that was Table Tennis, where Mym's determination to win caused her smashes to set the ball of fire with how fast she was hitting the ball, giving her the victory as Ray tried to put out the fires his friend had accidentally caused. "This is getting serious now…" he mumbled.

Risin' up straight to the top

Had the guts, got the glory

By this time it was almost evening, but neither Azrael nor Mym wanted to give up. "Okay, one more sport for all the marbles," Azrael said.

"And I think I know which one it has to be," Mym said.

"Swordplay!" they both exclaimed.

Went the distance

Now I'm not gonna stop

Just a man and his will to survive

The two were soon suited up in the proper protective gear, with a foam sword in hand as they squared off against each other in the ring. By now a sizable crowd had been following their rivalry, with a large crowd gathered to watch the fight that was about to go down.

It's the eye of the tiger

It's the thrill of the fight

Rising up to the challenge

Of our rival

Mym started by rushing in with her sword, only for Azrael to block her attack and deliver a combo against the dragoness. Mym was pushed back towards the edge, but regained her footing and used her tail to try and trip Azrael. "You did say we could only use our bodies," she teased him when the wolf scowled.

"Still a questionable move to make," Azrael retorted, bringing up his sword to clash with hers.

And the last known survivor

Stalks his prey in the night

And he's watching us all with the eye…!

Of the tiger…

As the held their ground against each other, Azrael looked for a way out of this deadlock they'd been put in. The wolf focused his senses, then took a step back as he raised his sword up high. Mym grinned as she rushed in for a swing, but Azrael calmly stepped to the side as her attack went wide, the wolf then quickly going for a horizontal slash that slammed into Mym's side, sending her falling off the platform and into the water below.

"And that's game!" Gabriel called, the crowd cheering as Azrael waved to the crowd, Porsha coming down to give her boyfriend a kiss on the cheek.

"That's right! My Azzy is the best!" the wolfess cheered.

Mym soon flew out of the water in her dragon form, landing back on the platform before transforming back into her human form. "I'll admit, you won this time, Azrael," Mym said, crossing her arms. "But I'm always ready for another challenge to show off my fiery passion!"

"We should save the passion for another day," Ray yawned. "It's already dark out now."

"Yeah, sleeping sounds good to me as well," Morgana said. "I think it's time that we all go to bed."

Azrael and Mym shook hands, showing their good sportsmanship after a day of fun and competition on Wuhu Island.

Shantae and the Wish Liberation!

When Gabriel woke up this morning, the one thing he didn't expect was to find the Disney Wish under attack by pirates of all things. But there the raven was, back-to-back with Azrael as they fought off hordes of pirates wearing only red bandanas and pants, their bodies entirely black save for their glowing yellow eyes.

"You know, these guys remind me of the Heartless, at least in design," Gabriel noted.

"What I wouldn't give for Sinbad or the Straw Hats to show up. At least they're pirates I can negotiate with," Azrael said.

Gabriel nodded. "True, I'd take Captain Jack Sparrow or heck, even Captain Hook over these goons."

"Cannon Construct!" Mineru shouted, holding out her hand as a cannon manifested in it. The Zonai princess aimed and fired at the pirates, blasting them off of the ship with her weapon.

"Flames of Passion!" Mym called, sucking in air before unleashing a torrent of fire breath, sending more of the pirates running off. "Oh Ray darling, do we have a reading on what these little creatures are?"

"They're Tinkerbats from the Shantae series," Ray answered, using his Psyches to zap the pirates with lightning. "Of course alone they aren't too bad, but if their boss shows up here…"

An evil laugh was heard, and the cat gave a yelp as he dodged away from getting sliced up by a pirate cutlass. Standing in front of Ray was a woman with purple skin and yellow eyes, wearing a purple and red pirate's outfit. "Well then, boys, it looks like the crew of this ship want to put up a fight. Then a fight we shall give them."

"Risky Boots. I figured you'd show up as soon as the Tinkerbats were involved," Ray sighed. He then looked down at his hands and frowned. "Darn, both Gabriel and Azrael have a sword. I should really look into getting one for myself…"

"If you surrender your treasure to us now, we will leave you with just a sinking ship instead of blowing you to smitheries," Risky said, holding her sword to Ray's throat.

"Yeah, we're not going to let that happen," Azrael said, jumping in to clash blades with the pirate captain. Risky locked swords with the wolf, the two getting into a dangerous dance as they battled.

"Ray, you seem to know these guys. Any plans on how to take them out?" Gabriel asked.

"Normally Risky is on Final Boss level material, being the main antagonist of her home series," Ray explained. "When it comes to my world, Final Boss characters usually require the help of their main hero to defeat, unless you're taking part in an event raid or something to that effect. It's been a while since I've visited Shantae's world, though…"

"Oh? Was that the one with the half-genie girl?" Mineru asked. "If I remember correctly, she taught me a way of summoning her in case we ever needed help again." The Zonai pulled out a purple orb and focused her power on it, Mineru starting to do a dance of all things as she muttered a few phrases.

"Is she… belly dancing?" Gabriel asked.

"It's part of the summon requirements," Ray explained, blushing at a bit at his girlfriend's dance. "Shantae uses belly dancing to do magic, so summoning her requires the same thing. I was more surprised how into it Mineru was."

"Shantae's world reminds me of the Gerudo Desert, and I studied many of their dance rituals in my time," Mineru explained, before holding the orb up to the sky. A pixelated portal opened over her, with a girl wearing a red genie outfit with long purple hair appearing out of it.

"Hey Mineru! What's up?" the girl, Shantae, asked, before looking around to see all the Tinkerbats running around the ship. "Looks like Risky Boots is up to causing trouble again, huh? Don't worry, your favorite half-genie here is here to help save the day!"

"Shantae, the last person I wanted to see today," Risky growled, looking down at the girl as she continued her fight with Azrael. "Tinkerbats, get her!"

Shantae put on a confident smile, whipping her ponytail like a whip to knock the pirates away. "Okay, I'm Ret 2 Go!" As Shantae went into battle, she used her hair as her primary weapon, sometimes calling on magic spells like fireballs and spinning swords to battle as well. "If we want to stop Risky, we're going to have to take out her ship!"

Ray nodded, looking over to see Risky's pirate ship, which was a typical pirate vessel, other than the fact that it was built on top of a giant slug. "Right. Azrael, Gabriel, let's go take out the Part Omni-Organic, Partially Titanic, Ocean-Optional Tinkerslug!"

"It's called the POOPTOOT?" Gabriel and Azrael raised an eyebrow.

"Just call it Tinkerslug!" Risky shouted. "And on that note: Tinkerslug, sink this ship to the depths of Davy Jones' Locker!"

"You're fight's with me, Risky!" Shantae called, jumping up to face off against her arch enemy as the trio went to fight the pirate ship. As both teams got to work, fast-paced Arabian music started to play, Gabriel tapping into Fantasia to use the music to his advantage.

They say we live in the darkness

They say there's trouble ahead

As the Tinkerslug started firing off cannonballs, Azrael jumped in the air, powering up his khopesh with pink fire and smacking the projectiles away.

Every day there's sorrow: today, tomorrow

But I'm dancing instead!

Risky and Shantae meanwhile were engaged in combat, trading sword swings and hair whips, with Shantae keeping to the beat of the song as she moved flawlessly around her opponent.

'Cause I can dance through the danger

The magic flows through my soul

Gabriel looked up to see some Tinkerbats tossing explosive barrels at the heroes fighting the pirates off. Holding out his Keyblade, he cast a water spell that defused the bombs before whacking the barrels back at the pirate ship.

All around, it's seeming in the dream I'm dreaming

A better day

can't be far away…

Ray was hopping on top of Tinkerbats like he was playing Super Mario, before reaching out a hand to Mineru. "Give me a boost!" he called.

Mineru nodded and summoned a spring construct, Ray using it to leap high into the air before activating a Psyche that let him slam into the ground, sending out a shockwave that knocked the Tinkerbats into the air.

So I will dance through the danger

And fly away to the stars

"Now face his!" Mym shouted, switching out her lance for a gun that fired off dark energy to defeat the pirates. "Bet you forgot I had a manacaster, didn't you?"

"Great shooting, Mym!" Ray complimented.

Take my lead and I'll start it to the beat of my heart

I'll never give up in my fight 'til the future is bright!

As Risky took out her own gun to shoot at Shantae, the half-genie hero did a magic dance, transforming into a monkey to dodge the bullets before switching into the form of an elephant, rushing into the pirate captain and knocking Risky back onto the Tinkerslug.

So we will dance through the danger

Together we'll never fail

"That's it! All cannons, forward facing!" Risky commanded, pointing her sword forward as all the cannons of the ship turned to face the Disney Wish, with the slug part of the ship even opening up its mouth to reveal a cannon inside.

"Well, that escalated quickly," Azrael mused.

"But we're not giving up," Shantae said, turning into a spider and swinging over to board the Tinkerslug. "We've got to take this thing out, and fast!"

We will forge a path to our destiny

I ask you to dance with me, so the world can see…

"Luckily, Shantae isn't the only one here with transformation powers," Ray said. He clutched his pactstone as blue light surrounded him and Mym, the light fading to reveal Ray now in Brunhilda's form. "Let's do this!" Ray shouted, before flying up into the sky and shooting down flame breath on the Tinkerslug.

That we can dance through the danger

Together we will set sail

"I want that dragon out of the sky!" Risky shouted, firing all of the cannons at Ray. With her distracted, Azrael, Gabriel, and Mineru used their magic to attack the ship and toss any remaining Tinkerbats overboard, freeing the Disney Wish from the pesky pirates.

For a time and space with a faster pace

Seeing the world as a happier place!

"Hey Risky! Watch the birdy!" Shantae taunted as she swooped down in her harpy form. Risky didn't have time to react as she was knocked from her perch, landing in one of the cannons and getting stuck.

Yes, we can dance through the danger

And fly away to the stars

"And that's a bon voyage from us!" Ray called as his transformation timed out, Mym lighting the fuse on Risky's cannon as she was launched into the air, fading out of sight with a scream and a star twinkle.

Come along, don't miss this

'Cause I know that this is our time!

"Yeah, we did it!" Gabriel cheered as the Tinkerslug made a hasty retreat to go pick up its captain, where ever she had landed.

"That was awesome, guys!" Shantae said, striking a pose as her body started to glow. "Don't be afraid to call me again if you need help."

"Will do," Mineru nodded as her recalled Shantae with her summon orb.

"Well, that was a fun way to spend the afternoon, but I could really go for some food right about now," Ray said, his stomach rumbling.

"Agreed. I'm sure Porsha will want to hear about our pirate battle as well," Azrael nodded.

"I third that!" Gabriel added. As the gang left to go enjoy their cruise once more, the raven's foot hit on something left on the deck. Kneeling down to inspect what he'd caught his foot on, Gabriel found that it was a jade teapot of all things. "Huh, I wonder what this is?"

"Hm, I wonder of it's a treasure one of those pirates left behind in their hasty retreat," Mym mused. "Either way they won't be coming back for it, so I say you keep it."

Gabriel shrugged, not noticing as a bit of pink smoke puffed out from the teapot. It seemed the object was a bit more magical than it first appeared to be, but the raven would find that out in due time…

Author's Note

The plots for both segments this time were suggested by Princess Peacock, who wanted the gang to both go to Wuhu Island and to meet Shantae and Risky Boots.

Before the chapter breakdown, I want to address why I put in that opening bit. I noticed a lot of people taking Gabriel's temporary death hard last chapter, and I just wanted to address that since I meant for it to be more lighthearted that it might have come off as. Also wanted to make sure that you all knew that Sisu didn't mean any harm to Gabriel, she's just a bit forgetful at times!

First story here is a classic sports competition between Azrael and Mym, going through many of the sports found in "Wii Sports Resort" while also doing a montage to the classic song "Eye of the Tiger." While Mym in her home game isn't shown to have super athletic skills, she is very powerful in both human and dragon form, so I'm sure she's learned a lot from her friends back at home and in the Gamesphere.

The second story is a classic pirate invasion, with appearances by Risky Boots and Shantae. I've only played "Half-Genie Hero" myself, but Shantae is a very fun character in terms of personality and powers (who's voiced by Cristina Vee, who plays Marinette aka Ladybug in the Miraculous series). Mineru used a special Summon Materia from "Final Fantasy" to call on Shantae, and Gabriel used the song "Dance Through the Danger" from "Half-Genie Hero" for the fight. Also yes, the pirates' named their ship POOPTOOT; the Shantae series has a lot of offbeat humor like that.
