"We interrupt this news broadcast with a special report…"

"Sad news tonight… the hero known as Spider-Man… has died. After injuries sustained from the earthquake in Brooklyn… he's been identified as the 26-year-old graduate, Peter Parker…"

Ginny couldn't believe the news. After hearing of, and seeing his heroics the last few days, and how he had escaped death countless times, the redhead had come to share the city's apparent perspective of him as some invincible hero who could never die, almost like how many saw her in her world.

There was only one question on her mind as she watched the disheartening broadcast.

"I need to find that Miles kid…" And with that thought she leaped off the building in search of that kid, thinking there had to be something special about him if he had been singled out by her spider sense.

Little did she know, a disheveled, depressed looking man in a tattered Spider-Man outfit and overcoat, was watching her leave from a different rooftop, curious as to who she was and how she also had spider powers, but he didn't follow her as he was too preoccupied on how he was dead and blond in wherever he had ended up…

"Can you believe it?" A large man asked as he came out of a back door to a restaurant, asking a couple who were walking by about the news. "Spider-Man… It's hard to believe."

The couple nodded their heads. "He's been our hero for pretty much ten years… it's hard to believe something like an earthquake could kill him… how could one kill him? Something is up." said the two.

The man throwing out the garbage nodded his head and was about to respond when the sound of a motorcycle caught their attention, the headlights turned on, nearly blinding the three.

After a moment, a deep, distorted voice that sounded like it was being masked by a modulator spoke. "Have either of you seen a frightened kid running through here?"

"Who are you? Maybe stop blinding us before asking us questions?" the garbage man said, yelling over the revving of the motorcycle.

The light of the motorcycle turned off, only to be replaced by not as bright purple lights highlighting the vehicle.

"Is that better?" the vehicle's owner asked as he lifted his head up. The all too familiar suit was a dead give away for who it was to these people.

"Prowler? What do you want?" the large garbage man demanded, looking as if he may fight the criminal himself. "Get behind me, you two…" he said in a rush to the couple. "If you want to hurt us, you'll have me to contend with." the man boasted, pointing at himself with a confident smirk.

Prowler titled his head as he stared at the scene before him. Nothing about it was amusing to the criminal. "If you recall what I said, I asked for information about a kid… did you see one run through here scared out of his mind?" At this point, Prowler was losing patience and activated his power gloves.

At the sight of the terrifying claws on that power glove, the man who was threatening the purple suited man relented and fell to his knees asking for forgiveness.

"Hehehe." Prowler chuckled as his glove returned to normal, loving when he was able to scare some innocents every now and again.

"N-no, I haven't seen any kid around here since lunch… I swear to you, Mr. Prowler…"

Crossing his arms, Prowler just chuckled again as he made to get on his bike when all of a sudden the female of that couple hiding from the Prowler screamed so loud that it caused Prowler to take an interest, showing concern for once.

There, silhouetted in the moon, some kind of freakish monster stood on the edge of the rooftop, saliva dripping from its mouth. "Home. Home. HOME. I WANT TO GO HOME." Screamed the beast in a creepy snarl as it leaped down into the middle of the alley. "WHAT IS THIS PLACE?"

The sound of metal skidding on the ground caught the creature's attention as it turned its attention towards the advancing Prowler right before he took a swing at him.

Prowler turned towards the trio, waving them inside as he studied the new arrival. Once the civilians had run into the building, none of them questioning why a criminal would be concerned about their safety, Prowler turned his attention to this creature.

"Hey, big man," the purple-clad criminal said, raising his glove to slash it across the creature's face. "Maybe you should calm down?"

The creature recoiled, slamming itself in the nearby trash cans before rolling to a stop on the ground, writhing in pain. "RAHGHHHHHGGHHHAAAA… Y-Y-YOU BASTARD."

Prowler brought his arm to his chest and pressed a button that caused the motorcycle's headlight to turn on, blinding the beast.

"YOU… I JUST WANT TO FIND A WAY BACK-..." Before he could finish his sentence, the monster began to glitch uncontrollably for a good couple of seconds before he returned to normal.

For a few long moments, the creature just laid there, slowly moving around in agony from the pain and the aftermath of that glitch.

Holding his hand up to his ear, the Prowler made a call.

"Mr. Fisk… I may have a new asset for us." said the man. "He just… I don't know… he glitched out. Didn't Octavius warn us this could happen if we were reckless with the portal?"

The monster rolled onto his stomach as he looked back at the cloaked figure.

"Uh huh. I understand. I'll be back before the hour is up. Prowler out." His eyes moved back to where the monster laid, thinking about how he was going to move him. He walked back out to his motorcycle and pulled out a sleep dart.

The monster gasped as he tried to attempt to crawl away. "You have no idea who you're messing with… I AM THE LIZARD…"

Prowler crouched down to his level, placing the sleeping dart gun to his neck. "You're not the Lizard I used to know…"

With that said, the criminal fired the dart at practically point-blank range into the creature's neck, bypassing whatever defense the scales might have offered. Once satisfied that the creature had been sedated, the Prowler put the beast on the back of the motorcycle and drove off towards Fisk Tower…

The morning following the death of Peter Parker was a somber one. People flooded the streets with signs of Spider-Man, TV screens showed past footage of their deceased hero, and even merchandise stores were giving away free Spider-Man related items in honor of their greatest hero.

Mary Jane Watson was hosting a funeral speech at town hall, then a funeral march to the cemetery afterward. She wasn't showing much emotion, but those closest to her, or those who were perceptive enough, could tell she was dying on the inside.

As she stepped up on stage with Peter's Aunt May, you could tell she was upset as she tried to find the words to begin. The audience was luckily patient enough to wait. She had just lost her husband, everyone present seemed to accept that this was very hard for her.

After two minutes of silence, MJ approached the mic.

"My husband, Peter Parker, was an ordinary person." She began, looking as if she was trying to hold back tears for the sake of not making the masses uncomfortable.

By the minute, more and more people began to arrive. All of them were wearing some kind of Spider-Man merch, and this surprisingly didn't upset MJ. The redhead was happy to see proof that her husband had meant so much to so many people.

"He always said it could've been anyone behind the mask… he just happened to be the kid who got bit…"

Many nodded after hearing that. Many onlookers crying at the loss of their hero, and the words from his wife.

Closing her eyes, she quietly laughed. "He didn't ask for his powers… he chose to be Spider-Man…"

Smiles were seen from those who weren't wearing masks.

MJ leaned forward against the podium as she looked out at everyone assembled. "My favorite thing about Peter is that he made us each feel powerful…"

"We all have powers of one kind or another." The redhead said. "In our own way… we are all Spider-Man… and we're counting on you…"

High above on the rooftops sat a lone woman, also a redhead, but wasn't from this world. Ginny watched on as the funeral took place. She felt so much sympathy for this Mary Jane Watson Parker woman, even if she didn't know her. This woman appeared to have loved her husband and that is something Ginny could respect about her, and how she seemed to be inspiring the crowd.

"What an inspiration that lady is." Ginny breathed out in awe, smiling as the gathered began to walk towards the cemetery to pay their respects to Peter.

Though, what appeared to her out of the ordinary was that someone who looked to be a kid was walking the other way. Oh well, that didn't matter. Maybe the kid didn't like the cemetery.

"I'm starved… I need to find something to eat…" Ginny said after her stomach growled before she zipped off the building to her hiding spot where she hid a pile of fresh clothes that she bought from local shops. It's a good thing she always carried a bag of money with her, even if she had to use her magic to turn the money into the right currency, a small loophole on usual magical rules so long as she only used it on muggle money.

"Alright…" Ginny smiled as she left to find a restaurant to enjoy some time at. Though she hoped no glitches would happen as they usually did when she was anywhere near a public place.

\\\\\

That night, however, Ginny's meal plans were interrupted right at the end. Right outside the window of the booth she was sitting at, she noticed a boy in a Spider-Man merchandise outfit flying through the air attached to a web that was attached to a train. In the boy's arms was what looked like a homeless corpse, or at least a man so battered he seemed to be on the brink between life and death. However, the voice and the screams of this kid caught her attention. It was that mysterious Brooklyn kid Miles Morales, and he seemed to have spider powers now, if her Spider Sense was telling her the truth.

"How could he have powers all of a sudden?" Ginny asked herself as she climbed up onto a roof to swing off in the direction of where the cops were heading. "Must've gotten bit by a spider since the last time I saw him…?"

Arriving at a building near an intersection, she saw cops talking to some witnesses of the kid's actions, and had to chuckle when the cops could get no answer on where the kid went, so Ginny decided to take a break for a bit and maybe go and exercise at the gym near the hotel she was staying at.

Unknown to the Spider-Woman, a pair of eyes were watching her from another building nearby. Squatting from a convenient vantage point, the Hypno Lizard stared at her, a large, sinister smile spreading across his face. "So you got transported here too, Ginny? How interesting…"

"Lizard, we need you at Alchamax ASAP to do some tests on you and learn more about other universes…" a female voice came through over his wristwatch that he was given by the Prowler.

"Roger that." he hissed.

"You sound as if you're distracted. Anything wrong?" the female voice asked after a moment of processing the way he had responded to her.

Growling at the prodding of the scientist, he didn't really hide his irritation when responding back. "Nothing of note… I thought someone saw me." he lied well enough that the scientist on the other end sounded like she had nodded her head with a sound of confirmation.

"Meet the Fisk Chopper near your location to be transported here."

\\\\\

At around dawn the next day, Ginny was eating a light breakfast at a small diner in the middle of town. It was a quiet place away from the constant noises, even if there was the occasional car driving around outside.

The guy who was working the counter, as well as delivering food, looked very angry and sleep-deprived by being here this early, and Ginny understood that. Which is why she only ordered a plate of eggs and sausage.

"I get how you feel." Ginny said after taking a bite of her eggs. The statement went unanswered as he just went back to prepping food.

The door to the diner opened up and Ginny, curious about who had entered, looked at whom the newcomers were and was surprised to see that Miles kid with someone who resembled basically a homeless version of the recently-deceased Peter Parker of this world.

"Peter… you said we had no time to lose." Miles stated as they sat down at the booth, the kid looking irritated.

"Correct." the man known as Peter replied as his eyes looked over the menu at the delicious looking foods. "First off. When I said we don't have a second to lose, I was referring to my hunger and the collider."

It only made Miles roll his eyes, but doing so had him spot that Ginny was looking over her shoulder at them, who in return quickly looked back at her food. Miles didn't question it, thinking anyone would find it odd that a kid would be in here with a man looking as if he were a hobo.

Ginny decided to just listen to their conversation, hoping it'd lead her to find out more about what they were planning, as well as an opportunity for her to go home. Though as time went on, she started getting irritated too by the way that Peter lookalike was acting as he bit sloppily into a burger this early in the morning.

The man even had the audacity to speak while eating, spitting bits of food towards Miles. "Aww I love this burger… so delicious."

"This is one of the best burgers I've ever had… in my universe, this place closed around six years ago… I don't know why, I really don't." he explained, while still eating the burger as if tomorrow would never come.

Miles looked very unamused by the whole thing, sitting there waiting for him to be finished. The redhead figured that he must be busy, judging by how antsy he looked whenever he moved. Her eyes were scanning the table from the mirror near her seat, and that kid did look like he was on a mission.

The man from behind the counter walked over their booth with a deep frown as he dropped the bill onto the table, looking on in disgust at the man.

"You have money, right?" The man said to Miles, removing his greasy fingers from his mouth. "I'm not very liquid right now."

Miles leaned forward towards him. "Can we focus?"

Ginny noticed the man nod as he chewed on a french fry. "Mhm. Sure."

"The other Peter…"

"Are you going to eat that?" said the man that Ginny now knew as a Peter as well, pointed at the burger Miles was going to eat. "I'm listening."

"The other Peter said he was going to show me the ropes." the teen said, only for Peter to respond with an uninterested, "Wow."

"You got any Spider-Man tricks you can show me now?" Miles asked.

What went on after that made Ginny nearly nearly laugh. Baby powder? That sounded very ridiculous, even to Ginny, as she never used it and her body was just fine after some sweaty, intense fighting in her suit.

Now looking completely unamused, Miles sighed. "Anything else?"

"No…" Peter replied. "That's pretty much it."

Miles looked ready to just get up and leave, according to how Ginny could tell from that small mirror.

"I think you're going to be a bad teacher."

A small smile grew on Fire-Spider's face as she heard that, taking a bite out of her last sausage.

Ignoring what the kid just said, Peter pointed towards him. "Look up where Alchamax is."

Upon finding out its location, Miles enthusiastically asked if he could be taught to swing on the way there, but Peter just laughed, asked Miles to pay the bill and they left. Before the door closed, she could hear Peter mention that they were going to be taking the bus, which the nearest stop was a block away from here.

If she left now, Ginny could beat them to the Hudson Valley to see what was going on there before them.

Leaving a tip for the man, Ginny left the establishment and zipped up to a rooftop nearby, where she had stashed her suit.

As she began swinging in the direction of Alchamax, Ginny began to envision the feeling of returning home, not realizing it wasn't going to be as easy as she thought it'd be.

Upon arriving at Alchamax about thirty minutes later, Ginny began to look around with her newly installed x-ray suit sensors. She had just managed to identify an interesting-looking lab when the sound of a car pulling to a stop caused Ginny to look at the front entrance and see a massive man exit the car. The car looked a little too small to fit a man of that size, but once that man was inside, Ginny's attention was drawn to a man dressed in sweatpants and a Spider-Man top, entering a panel in the roof a short distance behind the large man.

Ginny quite literally felt the need to facepalm knowing it was the two she had followed arriving at the scene, however, there was a bit of concern about the whereabouts of Miles. Then she saw him running across the snow towards the building and just had to facepalm again before returning to spy on the building now that she knew those two were here, she wouldn't need to go in herself…

\\\\\

(For now on, this is where the story will deviate a bit, but the plot remains the same with some differences added on with some dialogue being different too.)

\\\\\

"Ok, not going to turn invisible?" Peter asked a scared Miles, who just stood there in the door to the cafeteria with the computer monitor. "Ok… selecting a bagel…"

"Spider-Man?" A woman scientist asked as she saw the two of them walking very casually towards the door to lead out to the balcony.

"He's alive?"

"I thought he was dead?"

"Who's the kid with him?"

Suddenly, the woman who started the whole thing stood up with an advanced weapon of some kind. "WHO CARES ABOUT ALL THAT." she grinned mischievously at the two Spider-Men. "GET THEM."

Peter quickly switched the bagel with the computer monitor to Miles, grabbed his wrist to pull him along. "Ok kid, time to fly… remember what I taught you?" He asked as he threw him a web shooter as they exited the door.

"HE TOOK A BAGEL." The same woman angrily yelled, confusing the two who they were chasing.

Miles caught it before he responded. "Taught me? You didn't teach me anything."

"Right." Peter chuckled. He noticed Miles toss the bagel in his hand back towards their pursuers, noticing how it hit a man in the face, who dramatically screamed as he fell to the floor.

"Is that guy ok?" Miles asked in confusion, hearing that, turning around to see two people nursing his head.

"Oh he's fine." Peter said, attaching the web shooter to Mile's wrist. "It was just a bagel."

The scientists began to fire their laser rifles at the two, causing Peter to jump into action. "OK, LET'S GO, MILES."

"AHHHHHH…" the teenager screamed as he followed Peter off the balcony.

"Calm down." Peter consoled him as he caught the dark skinned teenager. "Concentrate on swinging.

Miles listened and stuck out his hand, and with pure luck, a web shot out of the web shooter, hitting a tree. The teen began to spin for a long moment while listening to Peter's laughter.

"Come on, Miles, you can do it. Everyone knows the best way to learn is under intense, life-threatening pressure." Peter said as he stuck himself to a tree. Though moments later, Miles slammed face-first into a large tree before falling into the snow.

Peter landed next to him, grabbed his hand and pulled him up, only for Olivia Octavius to cut through the tree behind Miles with a dark grin on her face.

"Hello boys. Thought you could run?" Octavius snickered as she slowly crept towards them.

"Oh hey." Peter said as he grabbed Miles and zipped up into the tree line as fast a bullet, forcing Octavius to have to chase them up into the trees, though she wasn't annoyed. She was thrilled by the chase.

After they were in relative safety further away from Octavius, Peter threw Miles into the air, knowing he'd save himself from the fall using the webbing. "You have got to swing, or they'll catch you."

"Honestly, I run faster… I'd prefer that." But he still managed to point his hand and out shot a web once more as it latched onto a tree.

Octavius had caught up to the duo and was reaching out to grab Miles when Peter came from below with an uppercut. "Nice Miles…" he congratulated the teen, seeing him start to swing.

Peter moved next to Miles, whom he let hold onto the computer box too, to teach him more on how to do it. "Hahaha… I'm doing it."

"Nice job." Peter nodded. "Ok, so double tap to release, then thwip it out again."

"Thwip. Release. Thwip and release, you're a natural." He said watching Miles swing along with him.

However, the moment was short-lived when Peter began to glitch out uncontrollably, dropping the monitor right into the clutches of their pursuing villain. "Hehehe."

"Great now wha-..." Miles started to say as he was cut off by sudden webbing surrounding both him and Miles, yanking them back into the trees.

"Octavius, didn't your parents tell you it wasn't right to pick on kids?" A feminine voice yelled as the mystery speaker jumped through the trees, drop-kicking Octavius over and over again before a female dressed in a white and black bodysuit with black leggings and pink web accents kicked the six-armed woman back a couple of feet, right before grabbing the box and swinging back over to the Spider duo.

She stopped in front of them and took off her mask, revealing a blond teenage girl.

Surprise overtook Miles. "Gwanda?"

The blond shook her head with an amused smile. "It's Gwen, actually. Gwen Stacy."

Peter chuckled as he looked towards Miles, a teasing look in his eyes. "Oh, so you know her? Very cool."

"I'm from another dimension. I mean, another, another dimension." Gwen explained her backstory to the duo, and while in doing so, letting the duo down to the ground.

"I like your hair cut." Miles replied nervously after the whole backstory.

Gwen scowled at him, turning her head slightly to the right. "You don't get to like my hair cut."

Peter looked at Miles for a moment. "Teenage drama. I haven't seen that for years…"

Gwen rolled her eyes as she put her mask back on, hoping to leave rather quickly. "Did you buffoons have an exit strategy, or were you just going to wing it?"

After no response, Gwen nodded her head while also condescending them. "Of course, you were winging it. Which, by the way, almost killed you both."

The trio happened to miss the rustle of the leaves nearby, a scaly tail sliding hung out of the bushes for a long moment, smacking against the snow. That action was helping this figure remain unnoticed. The Hypno Lizard was ordered by Kingpin to eliminate the intruders by any means necessary, and so was unleashed into the forest. The cold snow was a mild problem, but so long as the Lizard kept moving, the reptilian parts of his physiology should be unaffected.

Lizard jumped out of the bushes, aiming his sharpened claws straight at Gwen's back. "I got you now, you three…"

Before the Spider trio could react in time, a sudden fourth figure emerged from the tree line on a web, releasing the web and using the momentum gained from the launch to give the overgrown lizard a massive sucker punch to the face, sending him flying through multiple trees in the direction he had come from.

Gwen, Peter, and Miles turned towards her, the former of the two taking on defensive stances, confusion written on their faces seeing a dark suited Spider person before them.

Once the newcomer turned towards them, it became obvious that this woman was another Spider-Woman. Miles, exasperated, turned towards Peter. "How many more Spider people are there?"

"Save it for Comic Con." Peter told him as they walked closer to the new mysterious figure.

Scratching the back of his head, Miles, after a moment of silence, asked, "What's Comic Con?"

Gwen nearly chuckled, but remained serious. Facing the woman, Gwen put her hand on her hip as she looked the new Spider person up and down. "I'm sorry, but who are you?"

As the new girl took off her mask, Peter almost mistook her for MJ due to her red hair, nearly saying something, but stopping before it came out to potentially make the introductions awkward.

"My name is Ginny Weasley. I am known as Fire Spider in my dimension." The brown-eyed woman looked at the three of them for a moment before continuing. "For the last 15 years, I've been the one and only Spider-Woman… and that." Ginny pointed back into the shattered trees and pieces of bark. "Is someone I hoped hadn't been pulled in with me."

"Who, or what, was that thing?" Miles asked as he was the only one to have seen it fully, while Peter nearly saw a glimpse.

"The Hypno Lizard… he can hypnotize people." The group shuddered at that thought. "He just so happens to be my ex-boyfriend who I guess became crazy about me, and so turned himself into the Lizard in the process."

Gwen's eyes twitched for a moment, as if that was a sore subject for her, as she stared into the down tree rubble. Memories of her own Lizard came back to her, the horrible tragedy that it was and the consequences that came after still haunted her to this day.

"Gwen?" Peter shook her back to reality. "Are you ok?"

Blinking away the memories as well as the tears that were threatening to escape, Gwen nodded her head. "Yeah… let's get out of here." she pointed in the direction of the bus stop and the four of them began swinging in that direction.

However, the whole situation for the Hypno Lizard made him think back to the last time he had Ginny under his control before she created that stupid hypno proof device.

"Ah… Ginny, my love, you look absolutely stunning." Dean, in his human form, said as he took in her nude form for the first time, rubbing his hands along her exposed arms.

Giggling from the praise, Ginny replied in kind. "Thank you, Master. I'm happy my body pleases you."

Dean cupped her large breast in his hand, kissing the top of it, sending a wave of shivers through her body, making her blush. "I'm quite surprised you are so easy to seduce." he whispered in her ear. "It's almost as if you were born to belong to me…"

Again, Ginny blushed, but her smile widened at the thought of being born to be his one day. The thought of wanting to obey this wonderful man never once left her head as she did whatever he asked of her. She may not know his name, but that didn't matter; all she needed to know was that he was her Master.

He chuckled as he kissed her squarely on the lips, Ginny responded in kind, wrapping her arms around him, breasts pressed against his bare chest...

He was pulled back to reality, feeling himself being pulled from the rubble by one of the arms from Octavius, who smirked at him. "That new girl really knocked you out."

"Spare me your mockery." He hissed. The duo then made their way back to a furious looking Kingpin. Octavius smirked up at the large bald man, though the man beside him, Tombstone, took out two pistols from his holsters, pointing them at the scientist.

He may be aware of the Lizard's Spider-Woman, though he didn't know that she was pulled into his universe too, as their large scaly friend forgot to mention that back when he noticed her in the city. "I killed Spider-Man. Why did I just see two more?" Kingpin asked, holding up two fingers for emphasis.

The brown haired woman smirked as she used her arms to move higher off the ground, using her fingers for emphasis as well. "There's four, actually."

Giving the scientist a deep frown, she continued. "Before you do anything rash, this is actually good. Really, really, good. This means my collider works. You could get your family back."

After an intense staring contest between the two of them, he gave the signal for Tombstone to stand down.

Turning towards the building, Kingpin looked over his shoulder at Octavius. "Tomorrow. My collider."

Lizard quickly crawled back to the lab, converted to a large bedroom, he was staying in for now.

After Fisk was a good distance away, Octavius quietly chuckled with a grin. "Our collider."

\\\\\

"So you were here before I was?" Gwen asked Ginny, the redhead was sitting behind her in the next row.

"By two days…" Ginny replied, exhausted from the day and just wanted to get some sleep, so she decided to copy what Peter was doing as seeing that no one else was on the bus besides them, she stretched her legs across the isle to the other seat.

She turned towards Miles and took the broken collider drive from his hand and surveyed it. "What happened to it?"

"Oh… Peter broke it." Miles tried to cover for himself, only for Peter to laugh audibly in the background.

Gwen gave Miles a bright smile when she turned back to him. "Did he really break this?" she asked Miles again. The dark skinned teen nodded. "Haha, yeah… he's very sensitive about it."

"I know where we can get a new one." Gwen replied after a moment. "...And I won't let him break it this time."

Both Peter and Ginny were smiling to themselves hearing the two teens interact, and Peter hoped that there was something there to grow. Ginny, however, just thought it was two friends bantering back and forth.

"If you ever consider to make a friend again… I could fill up the slot." he said, knowing having friends was a bit of a sore spot for the blond. However, instead of getting angry with him, Gwen smiled and nodded. "I'll… keep you posted."

They just sat talking for a good few minutes, when Gwen pulled out her phone and held it out in front of her. "Let's take a picture together." at his questioning look, she continued. "...To new friends."

Thrilled that Gwen decided she wanted to be friends, the two smiled as they took a photo together, photobombed by Peter and Ginny's legs, however, though the two didn't seem to care all that much. "So, where are we going?" Miles asked after she saved the picture.

"Well… if she lives in the same area, May Parker's house."

"Say what now?" Peter shot upright, his head turning to her so fast that Gwen could've sworn she heard his bones make a noise.

Gwen chuckled at his reaction, refusing to say anything else as Peter began to have a midlife crisis in his seat.

"I think you broke him." Ginny responded after a few moments of hearing Peter muttering to himself.

\\\\\

Ginny could tell that the teens had gotten closer while on the bus ride to the city, as well as the swing over to Queens. Now, she could tell there was something budding between the two and smiled as Miles and Gwen laughed about something that happened. The redhead had no idea they had stopped until she ran right into Peter, who didn't seem to flinch or react in any way as he stared at a small two-story house.

Removing his hand from his pocket, Peter shot a web at the doorbell where it quickly rang out through the house, but Peter quickly started walking away, but Gwen yanked him back over.

"Peter, we are literally on the doorstep."

A shadow appeared in the light of the door, and an old woman appeared. "You are all very sweet but no more gifts toda-..." the moment the old woman saw Peter, she stopped dead in her tracks.

"I'm not ready for this, you guys…" Peter said through his teeth as he made an attempt to smile. Though, his nerves quickly became worse as Aunt May neared him. "Peter?" May asked weakly.

Sighing, Peter allowed May to look him over. "Hi Aunt May… this may sound crazy, but I'm pretty sure I'm from…"

"An alternate dimension." the old woman finished for him with a knowing smile.

"Uh yeah…" He replied in confusion. "How did you know?"

She just chuckled and looked over at the others. Miles took that opportunity to step forward. "I was there when it happened… I'm so sorry…"

May smiled at him. "And what dimension are you from?"

"Brooklyn." Miles replied with a shrug. "Did Peter have any place where we could make another one of these?" Asked Miles, showing the woman the destroyed device.

Taking the device from him, May took on a serious face. "A goober? Follow me."

She took them through her house before, for some reason, kicking the back door open and leading them towards a small shed.

"Ah… the place where I'd keep my Spider gear." Peter expressed, remembering the memories of his youth. "How are we going to create another goober in there?"

May walked up to it and the door lit up in a Spider pattern before opening to an elevator, causing the party to look on in awe as they followed May into it.

"This is just overcompensating." Peter grumbled as they were lowered into the ground to reveal a massive underground lair with a Spider car, a relaxation room, game room, green houseroom among other things. At the bottom of the lair was a command center platform with massive screens, display cases of Peter's outfits, and even a board of pictures of his villains with Kingpin placed in the middle.

"This place is huge." Miles gasped as he looked around before walking over to the suit display. "Is yours anything like this?" He asked as he looked at the other three.

Gwen just shrugged and shook her head, indicating that she didn't have one.

Ginny looked towards him and gestured her hand a certain wavy way. "Eh… I'm in the process of making one… but my plans aren't like this…"

Miles nodded at their responses before looking at Peter. "What about you, Peter?"

He just rolled his eyes chuckling as he moved towards the computers, talking sarcastically that his was the same until he came across a picture of this world's MJ.

Sadness washed over him as he thought about how he screwed it up with his MJ, and that this MJ would grow older without her Peter…

"Hey, Peter… I think this is a cape." The man turned to see the teen waving a cape at him, and just seeing that, remembering what he had told Miles earlier, actually cheered him up as he smiled and laughed.

In the background, Gwen smiled at Miles for being able to quickly cheer up Peter.

"Kingpin knows we'll be coming." Ginny interrupted everyone's thoughts. The three looked over to see the redhead looking over the bulletin board of villains. "We're going to be outnumbered as there are only four of us." She then pulled out a picture of the Hypno Lizard, pinning it to an unused space and using a line to connect to the big boss as well.

That was May's cue as she walked up to them holding out name tags with an amused smile on her face. "Then it's a good thing you're not alone. You might need these."

"What?" Miles responded.

Though, at the same time, all four of their Spider Senses went off, telling them to look up at the ceiling above them. Above them, they saw three figures.

"Hey fellas." A deep voice said from a detective looking Spider-Man.

"Is he in black and white?" Miles asked in astonishment. Peter just sighed. "Where is that wind coming from? We're in a basement."

"Wherever I go, the wind follows." He responded to Peter's question. "And the wind… smells like rain." he said, using dramatic hand gestures to emphasize his point.

Another person introduced herself. "Hi guys." She then jumped down from the ceiling speaking Japanese, followed by a small robot that was sentient.

"This can definitely not get any weirder…" Both Peter and Ginny said at the same time, only to be proven wrong by the next newcomer.

A pig dressed in a Spider-Man costume was walking up towards the four of them. "It CAN get weirder," the costume-wearing, talking pig said, holding out his dripping wet hand. "I just washed my hands, that's why they're wet… no other reason…"

Again, all of their spider senses went off. "Hey, you're like me."

The black and white Spider-Man bowed his hat towards his eyes. "My name is Peter Parker. In my universe, it's 1933. I like to drink egg creams and I love fighting Nazi's. A lot."

The Japanese girl went next. "My name is Peni Parker. I'm from the year 3145. I have a psychic link with a spider who lives inside my father's robot. The best part is that we're best friends…"

The pig began to talk, still shocking the former four who had just arrived. "My name is Peter Porker…" he then went on a big backstory that caused Peter to end it.

"Ok enough. Why are you all here?" He asked the three of them.

"Well… that's kind of a long story. Well, maybe not that long." Said the Peter from the '30s.

"Now… we're just trying to get home." Peni said.

Porker suddenly pulled out a step stool from his pocket and climbed up to the tallest step. "The bigger question here is, who is going to stay behind to destroy it?"

"I'll do it." Said everyone at once, other than Ginny, who looked at everyone like they were crazy for even thinking they'd stay behind.

"Bullshit." Ginny ground through her teeth. "Let the kid who actually lives in this dimension do it." the redhead jabbed her thumb back towards Miles. "There's no way in hell you'd let yourself be sacrificed to prevent seeing your friends and families again."

"She's right." Miles said when she was done. "I'll send you all home."

There was a moment of silence until Peter, who everyone decided to call Noir, spoke up with confusion in his voice. "Who're you again, kid?"

Peter quickly shuffled over the kid. "This is Miles." he explained. "And he's going to help save the multiverse."

"Yeah man." he replied with a smirk.

Gwen raised an eyebrow as she crossed her arms, gauging his sudden confidence.

Ginny just smiled lightly, knowing this kid can do it with the proper training before the final showdown.

"This kid can turn himself invisible, and even use electricity." Peter explained in jubilation. "He can do it… now."

"Grrrhhhaaaa… I can't do it on command."

"He can't do it on command… but I've seen it. It's awesome."

The rest of the group groaned, except for Gwen, who looked on sympathetically at him. "Come on, guys, he may be new to all this… but I've seen him in action, and he's not bad." She looked back at Miles. "But I think he'll get us home."

The two smiled at each other, but Noir quickly put a stop to that as he walked towards Miles.

"Alright, kid, Kingpin isn't going to be a walk in the park. He's going to have a lot of brawler boys, real biscuit boxers, can you fight them all off at once?"

Miles looked up wide-eyed at Noir for a moment, unsure of what to say at first. "Uh. I. Uh…"

"SURPRISE ATTACK." Noir used his leg to knock Mile's legs out from underneath him, where he landed hard on the ground with a thud.

Gwen held out her hand. "And another thing to remember when fighting is to always get back up." She held her arms in a fighting stance, but Miles was too preoccupied by smiling at the gesture of helping him up that he missed Noir coming up beside him.

"SURPRISE ATTACK."

As Miles laid on the floor, angered and pressured, he could hear everyone calling out to him.

"Come on, Miles, get up."

"Get up Miles."

"Come on kid."

"He isn't getting up."

"Come on, Miles… get up…"

It took considerable effort for the pressure Miles was feeling to leave his body, by then everyone had gathered in a circle.

He could hear everyone agreeing that he wasn't ready to be a Spider-Man. It crushed him. Had he failed his universes, Peter? The feelings of rejection were all too much for him, and he turned invisible and walked towards the elevator and left the basement to head who knows where…

Miles traveled to his Uncle Aaron's apartment in hopes of finding him there to explain his dilemma, but upon finding the place empty, he opted to write a letter.

However, while writing the letter, a mystery figure appeared in the window. At first, the teen thought it was his uncle, only to realize it was The Prowler, who most likely hadn't stopped in his search for him since the collider incident.

The Prowler stopped short of the couch as he grew suspicious something wasn't right as he looked around. He spun around to investigate what was behind the TV stand, but Miles was invisible, and the villain couldn't see him, thankfully.

Though, Mile's breathing was picking up pace as the Prowler pressed his finger to his ear. "Hello, Mr. Fisk… I got the data tapes from the tunnel right here…"

He stood up, towering over Miles. "The kid's out there… don't worry, I'll find him."

The moment came as the Prowler revealed himself to the unknown occupant. It was Uncle Aaron, he was Prowler. "You know me, sir. I don't ever quit."

For a few moments, Miles was too shocked to even move, eyes wide in fear, shock, and betrayal at the sight of seeing his uncle as the man who nearly killed him the other night. Regaining his composure, Miles fled for the window, but the sound of doing so alerted his uncle, who quickly put his mask back on and dove for the window to see who had just been in his house.

He got his answer as he turned on his heat scanner and found the intruder. "The kid was in my house?"

He quickly jumped down after the retreating kid, more curious as to why he was in his house, more than wishing to kill him at the moment. The kid slammed into the dumpsters before getting up again.

However, Prowler went for his motorcycle down a secret alley, but he had to make a call.

"Hello, Mr. Fisk, it's me… the kid, I found him." Prowler announced to Kingpin on the other end.

"I'm in pursuit. Get everyone ready. I'm going to follow his kid back to the other spiders." He jumped onto his motorcycle and hung up the call. As he turned the corner, he came face to face with his target. "THERE YOU ARE."

"AHHHHH…"

The chase that followed caused a huge traffic crash, somehow the kid got out unscathed, but so did the Prowler, who fired a grapple hook to take himself up to a roof for an overhead view. However, Miles didn't notice him, and failed to realize he was about to be followed.

"Prowler to Octavius… I'm in pursuit. Activating my suit's tracker." As he leaped from rooftop to rooftop, he realized something. "We may need our new friend…"

"Excellent. I equipped him with some new tech earlier." Replied Octavius on the other end. "He should be far superior to what he once was back at Alchamax…"

"Roger that." Prowler acknowledged. "Can't wait to see that monster in action."

"You and me both. He's practically going feral as we speak, haha."

"This is Scorpion to Prowler. Standing by." The accent of the Spanish human machine called in.

"As am I." The voice of Tombstone came through. "The boss and I are waiting in the car, following your suit's signal.

"We must take down these pests if we are to have a successful launch of the collider… no screw ups. Kill every last one of them." Kingpin ordered, sounding all calm and collected, but still terrifying to the rest of them. "Don't forget your main priority. Get the device that has the power to shut down the collider. Destroy it."

Prowler didn't say anything as he was too focused on following the kid, but he was soon joined by a villain he hasn't worked alongside in a long time.

"Vulture? I thought you were in prison."

"I was." He snickered. "Scorpion just broke me out…"

Prowler took a look at the new and improved Vulture suit, and had to admit that it suited him way more than his last green feathery suit. The logo on the side of the wing showed that it came from Alchamax, of course it did.

"Do you understand the situation?" The purple suited man asked the old flying man.

The wrinkles on his face nearly molded together from the old man's smile. "Hell yes. I can't wait to kill a bunch of spiders." He flicked his head down and out came a protective shield that also happened to be a state of the art heads up display. "I'll get some aerial surveillance."

As the duo followed the kid, little did they know that they were being watched by a woman in a black bodysuit that hugged her body well, white hair flowing in the wind as she watched them follow the kid.

Black Cat was frowning, seeing the sight. She had heard from a goon that she had taken down earlier that there were more spider people from other dimensions trying to get home, and Kingpin wanted their heads.

Since Peter Parker's death, Black Cat had taken it upon herself to become a more secret protector of New York, driven by her own pain over Peter's loss. Hearing about these new spiders, including a teenager who appeared to be from this world fighting alongside the displaced heroes, Black Cat knew she had an opportunity to help out New York's next Spider-Man, beyond just honoring the memory of the one she had lost.

Taking a leap off the building, Black Cat followed Prowler at a distance to best not draw attention to herself as she crept along, occasionally looking down at the distressed kid, hoping no one would try and hurt him.

This chase would eventually lead to somewhere, right? Black Cat just had to be patient.

It was early morning by the time she heard something back on the stolen radio from that Fisk goon.

"Attention everyone, we tracked him to Queens. The kid just entered the home of May Parker…"

Black Cat's eyes widened at the thought of them having been able to successfully follow him, so she picked up her pace, running as fast as she could to get there before something horrible happened…

Exhausted from staying up all night wasn't exactly a problem for the white haired woman, as she was high on adrenaline to reach the heroes before it was too late. "Hang in there Spiders…" Black Cat pleaded into the wind…
