Ginny: Into the Spider-Verse

"Attention everyone, we tracked him to Queens. The kid just entered the home of May Parker…"

Black Cat's eyes widened at the thought of them having been able to successfully follow him, so she picked up her pace, running as fast as she could to get there before something horrible happened. Any residual tiredness from staying up all night wasn't exactly a problem for the white haired woman, as she was high on adrenaline to reach the heroes before it was too late. "Hang in there Spiders…" Black Cat pleaded into the wind…

\\\\\

It was still night out when the Spider-gang exited the underground lair, all except Peni who was still down there creating a new device from scratch.

It was only Peter and Gwen who seemed to show more emotion on their faces, regret from how they had basically forced Miles to walk away. Gwen, however, started realizing that maybe she should've gone easier on him, especially due his not so secret crush on her.

"We shouldn't have done that," Gwen said as they all settled down in the living room. None of the other Spiders needed to ask what 'that' was. Gwen felt more than regret as to why she felt so bad, but couldn't put her finger on it.

Noir looked away uncomfortably, as he knew he was partly to blame for Miles leaving as quick as he did. Spider-Ham gave him a side eye as he hopped up to sit on the side of the couch. "He'll come back." he said to Gwen, trying to soothe her nerves. It only made Gwen doubt that he probably would.

Ginny, having not known the kid that long, didn't really know what to make of the situation, so she decided to just follow Aunt May to the kitchen to help prepare things.

However, Aunt May's screams caused the group to run into the kitchen, all prepared for a fight, but found only Ginny floating things around in the air with a long stick with a glow coming from the end of it.

"What the?" Gwen whispered, watching as Ginny levitated a pot of tea onto the stove. "H-how are you doing that?"

Turning to see the assembled group, Ginny blushed, forgetting she wasn't at her home. "Oh, uh… I'm a witch," she said; given the circumstances, the Statute of Secrecy seemed to be irrelevant. "This wand can cause many spells. Don't worry, I know what I'm doing; it's all harmless unless I want to do any damage."

Spider-Ham shivered. "I'm terrified but yet also intrigued. Is that normal?"

Noir just shrugged in response. The party eased their tension after knowing Ginny was a witch as they watched her levitate things around the kitchen.

Gwen was very amazed by this whole thing and had one question on her mind. "Could you find Miles with that thing?"

Taking a glance at her wand, Ginny flicked it in a certain motion, but nothing happened. She raised an eyebrow and tried again, but still nothing. "That spell must only work in my world…" She then tried another spell, such as Lumos, which worked instantly. The others didn't doubt her magical skill, but Peter and Gwen were disheartened to see that she couldn't find Miles.

Soon dawn arrived, and May was up bright and early making everyone breakfast with help from Noir and Ginny. The man from the '30's needed more help due to not knowing some of the technology, but he managed to follow the instructions fairly easily.

After breakfast, it was early morning when Noir hopped onto the couch with a rubix cube, Ham settled next to him on the table.

"This is… purple?" Noir asked Ham.

"No." The pig replied.

"Red?"

"No."

Peni chose that moment to enter the living room, handing Peter the newly created collider shut down device with a smile on her face.

Gwen frowned sadly as she looked at everyone assembled. "Has anyone heard from Miles? I'm starting to get worried about him… it's been a whole night since he walked out." Peter laid a land on her shoulder. "I'm sure he'll be fine…"

The front door slammed open, revealing Miles coming through it, who was breathing heavily and freaking out.

"Miles what's wrong?" Ginny asked as she came from the kitchen to see why the front door was slammed open. Miles looked at everyone in the room, unable to say words. Nothing would come out.

Intrigued, Noir sat up on the couch. "Spit it out, kid. What's got you so freaked out?"

"M-my uncle… he-he's the Prowler…" He cried out in shock. "H-he works for Kingpin, he tried to kill me…"

"This is a pretty hardcore origin story." said Noir, shocked as well to be hearing this information.

Peter was moved to the side by Gwen as she looked Miles in the eyes. "Were you followed?"

He shook his head rapidly before answering. "I don't think so, no."

As soon as he said that, their Spider Senses all began to go off, and they all got up into a battle ready position. Gwen grabbed Miles and moved him behind everyone. At his questioning look, Gwen just shrugged. "I want you to stay safe."

"Oh, ok…" he smiled. It felt nice knowing Gwen was concerned about him.

The doorbell rang, but before anyone could answer, the door was busted down and in came one of Octavius' arms, smashing a plate to the ground in Aunt May's hands.

"Cute place. Real homey." Octavius surveyed as she entered through the front door.

May frowned at the villain. "Oh great, it's Liv." That response made both Peter and Miles turn to her, giving her uncertain looks. Back at Alchamax, Octavius had told Peter when he was strapped to a torture chair that only her friends called her Liv, so hearing May say it seemed out of place at best.

Waving his hand behind him, Peter instructed Miles to leave. "Get out of here, kid."

Just as Miles turned around to flee out the back door, Tombstone was walking through it with an evil smile gracing his face. "You messed up big time, kid. Really sloppy." Behind him entered another man, his legs and a significant portion of his lower body replaced with artificial limbs. He spoke in Spanish as he entered, with the result that not many of the spiders present even knew what he was saying.

Peter was the first to pick up on who he was due to the way he looked as his lower half transformed into a robotic scorpion. "Let me guess, you're Scorpion? Well, we're the spider gang."

"Nice one." Gwen replied, amusement nowhere in her tone. Peter could practically tell she was rolling her eyes.

"Do you mind taking this outside?" May asked as though talking to a normal group of people wishing to fight each other instead of super villains.

Noir bounced on his feet as the heroes and villains lined up across each other. "We don't pick the ballroom, we just dance."

Octavius chuckled as she sprung into action, using one of her arms to beeline for the collider shut down device around Peter's neck, who in response to the act tossed it over to Miles, who just stood there as the fight began in the middle of the living room.

Miles jumped through the fighting only to be clothes-lined when Scorpion's tail smashed against his face. "Look at this kid." Scorpion mocked. "How can he not be shitting himself right now?"

It didn't help that when he raised his fists, attached to them were two pillows that he couldn't get off. Scorpion went in to grab Miles, only for Peni in her SPDR mech to punch the cyborg into the wall.

Chaos was everywhere in the Parker home from May's perspective as she watched plates, shelves and pictures get destroyed. Grabbing her bat, May walked over to Tombstone. "I. Said. Take it outside." May managed to kick Tombstone to the curb, literally, and somehow nobody else attacked her.

As the collider device was tossed back and forth between people, once again it landed in Miles' hands. As he looked over it, his Spider Sense began to go off and the Prowler's shadow appeared in the windows.

Seeing the shadows moving in the windows, Miles kept switching in and out of his invisibility ability, thanks to him not knowing how to control it. No one else seemed to notice the presence of the Prowler until the purple suited villain came barreling through the wall, over Miles, before skidding along the floor looking angrily towards Miles.

"Oh no…" Miles whispered, looking down at the device in his hand. Peter suddenly took it from him. "I got this, buddy." He then turned his sights on the Prowler. "LEAVE THE KID ALONE."

Prowler rolled his eyes as he began to trade blows with Peter. Matching blow after blow with Peter caused the duo to drop the device, where Miles picked it up off the ground. However, that drew Prowler's attention.

Seeing this, Gwen jumped for Miles, pushing him out of the way towards the door. "Run Miles… I'll hold him off." Despite saying this, Prowler pursued Miles out of the front door, not even attempting to fight Gwen to her shock.

"Don't be stupid, kid." Prowler shouted as he ran out of the door, watching Miles standing in the middle of the street scared out of his mind. "Hand over the device." When it was clear that the kid was hesitating, Prowler activated the power glove, revealing the razor sharp fingers of the glove. "If you hand it over, you'll survive…"

Tears filled Mile's eyes as he remembered what his world's Peter said.

"If he turns the machine on again, everyone will disappear… your family, friends… everyone. Promise me you'll destroy it…?"

Shaking his head back and forth, he finally replied. "And doom our world?"

That caused Prowler to stop in his tracks as he looked wide-eyed at the boy. "What? What are you talking about?"

But before Miles could respond, Prowler grabbed him by the neck before rocket boosting up onto May's house and holding him at the edge. "Whatever you have to say better be convincing because you have nowhere left to run…"

Mile's breathing was rapid, but a response still slipped out despite being scared out of his mind. "Peter… before your boss murdered him… told me that if Kingpin turned the machine on again, the universe will be destroyed…"

"Bullshit." Prowler growled. "Kingpin would know-..."

"But he was told by Octavius at Alchamax, and he didn't listen…" Miles cut him off. "Why do you think Peter was so hellbent on destroying it if it wasn't going to cause harm to anything?" Prowler relaxed his grip as he looked everywhere but at Miles, contemplating what the kid had just said.

A shadow appeared over them. The Vulture was flying overhead watching the proceedings, though not paying attention to the two on the roof.

The time was now if Miles wanted to survive. He grasped the bottom of his mask and pulled up to reveal his face. "Please make the right decision… Uncle Aaron."

Hearing his name forced Prowler to do a double take. With a sharp intake of breath, Prowler tore off his mask as he looked at Miles, now also scared, and disappointment in himself for letting Miles down.

"Miles, you-? Oh no, no, no, no…"

Kingpin's voice soon filled their ears, speaking from the earbud in Aaron's ear. "Prowler… what are you waiting for? Finish it."

The Vulture landed behind them with his mechanical blades pointed straight at where Prowler's heart would be. "Prowler, you better make the right decision here and kill the kid…"

Miles gulped down a lump in his throat as he watched his uncle look uncertainly at him, as if he was battling inner demons.

"Please… don't Uncle Aaron…"

Aaron started sweating as he heard Vulture behind him make a low growl as he produced a sharp blade from his wrist gauntlet. "Are you going to kill him? Or do I have to?"

After another moment of decision, Aaron placed the mask back over Mile's face before backing away with an understanding and knowing smile. Aaron knew he was about to die.

However, right as Vulture screamed in anger as he charged Prowler, a grapple hook hit him squarely in the face before falling to the ground and connecting to it.

"What the?" He didn't get a chance to see who was attached to it, as a foot slammed into his face, sending the flying villain down onto Kingpin's car.

Prowler and Miles both looked at the newcomer and were both shocked to see Black Cat stand up straight, retracting her grapple hook back into place as she smiled at them. "Prowler." She acknowledged, before turning to look at the kid in a Spider-Man merchandise suit beside the man in purple. "I assume you're the new Spider-Man?"

He nodded. "Y-yes…"

"What do you want, Felicia Hardy?" Prowler demanded, stepping in front of Miles protectively, thinking the white haired girl was here to cause trouble.

The woman smirked. "I'm only here to help. I've been doing vigilante work since Peter died, so I thought I could come and help."

"Appreciate it." Miles said, though with an uncertain tone.

Before Black Cat could respond, a loud noise filled the air. It was a gunshot. Prowler cried out in pain as his shoulder was hit. Without warning, Prowler jumped away onto his motorcycle and sped out of sight.

"Time to take out the new Spider-Man." Looking at where the source of the voice as well as the source for the gunshot had come from, Miles gasped in terror as he saw Kingpin cock his pistol to shoot him, but before he could, Gwen came out of nowhere. She and Kingpin had a small brawl before the spider in white managed to land a blow that left him practically flying down the nearest alley. Peter jumped up onto the roof shortly afterward.

"Are you ok, kid?" He asked as he ran over to him, shortly followed by Gwen coming to check on him.

"Yeah. Yeah." The teen said.

"We need to get out of here." Black Cat spoke up as she heard police sirens in the distance. "The police are coming…"

Gwen frowned as she saw the cat burglar. "Felicia Hardy?"

Peter was as confused as she was. "What are you doing here? Aren't you a criminal?"

Felicia facepalmed and shook her head lightly. "Ever since Peter's funeral, I've been keeping an eye on things in his memory; when I heard about your little gathering, I thought that I should come to help out."

Gwen gave the girl in leather a dark frown that the white haired girl couldn't ignore. "What's wrong with you?"

Gwen took a step forward, looking as if she was going to throw a punch, but stopped, remembering this isn't her world's Black Cat.

Taking a deep breath, Gwen began to explain why she didn't trust her. "In my world, that version of you broke in and stole things from Peter's home, hurting his Uncle Ben…"

Peter and Miles's eyes grew wide as they looked at each other warily. Gwen continued, swiping her hand through the air. "I had to console Peter because you held him at gunpoint and nearly pulled the trigger; if I hadn't come to rescue them from you…"

Black Cat raised an eyebrow at the story. "How did you know that she was ther-..."

"Because Peter texted me for help… and so when I showed up as Spider-Woman, he assumed that maybe I got in contact with the Spider-Woman… but I think in hindsight that was when he started to believe it was me behind the mask…"

"And my version of Black Cat is no sweetheart." Peter B. began, warily stepping toward the angered blond. "In my world, you were practically a mob boss working directly under Hammerhead, who worked directly under Kingpin before I stopped your syndicate…"

Black Cat looked astonished that any version of herself would become a crime boss. "Damn…" was all the woman in black could say.

Peter took another step closer until he was at arms length with Gwen and pushed her back towards Miles before the blond could lash out at Felicia.

He then frowned at the woman. "You caused a lot of damage and harm. You tore families apart, destroyed banks, stole millions from hardworking New Yorker businessmen and even sent your syndicate to attack the Queens bridge to try and destroy it…"

At this point, Black Cat was staring at Peter in shock at what she was listening to. In his world, she sounded like a terrorist, which Felicia didn't like the sound of at all.

"And…" Peter started again, only for Black Cat to hold up a hand to make him stop. "I've heard enough, Peter." she frowned before smiling over at Miles. "After all of this is done, I'll help you out." Hearing that caused the trio to look at her dumbstruck. "And maybe even give you a few pointers."

The police sirens grew louder after she said this. Turning around, Black Cat could see the reflection of their lights on houses. "We have to go, guys, the cops are here."

Before he even knew he was doing it, Miles was swinging through the trees of the neighborhood, hitting the top of a police car hard, before webbing another tree nearby. However, the cop decided to follow.

\\\\\

Miles swung for what felt like hours. All the adrenaline in his system was coursing through with no end in sight. The teen soon landed in an alley and fell to his knees in an attempt to calm his nerves, only to realize something was wrong. Blood was literally on his sleeves and his pants. It must've been from the fighting in the house and from his Uncle Aaron's house. He did notice how some of the villains were spewing out blood when being hit, so some must've hit Miles.

"HEY. HANDS UP." Shouted a demanding voice, the source of whom had entered the alley over the fence, and it just occurred to Miles that there were police lights flashing against the walls. "YOU'VE FLED A CRIME SCENE. I CAN SEE BLOOD ON YOUR CLOTHES."

Now Miles realized it was the voice of his dad. He couldn't let him see he was going to be a new Spider-Man, so he stood up, not knowing what to do at all.

He then heard his dad speak in a softer tone, but still demanding. "Turn around."

As Miles began to turn, his invisibility powers activated. Taking that moment of freedom, Miles zipped to the roof, watching as his dad spun in different directions searching for him, ready to shoot anyone who could come into that alley.

"All units." Miles heard his dad say into his radio, who sounded pissed. "I want an APB on a new Spider-Man. He fled the scene of a crime with blood on his clothes. I have reason to believe he harmed someone…"

What was Miles thinking? Why didn't he decide to follow Peter or Gwen or, heck, even Black Cat? He had acted on instinct and fled on his own, which almost caused him getting caught.

"Psst. Miles." Someone whispered from behind him. Turning around quickly, heart beating fast, Miles saw Ginny crouched down near an air vent. "Are you ok?"

He moved over to her before settling his back against the vent, followed by Ginny.

After a moment of waiting for his dad to leave, Miles spoke up, utterly defeated. "I messed up… I don't know what I'm doing."

Ginny side eyed him, gauging his expression. His indecision about his actions and wanting to be a hero sounded exactly like she did when she first became Spider-Woman and after her first fight with her version of The Prowler, who happened to be her first villain. Now the pair were friends, and Prowler decided to remain in the US and not pursue villainy.

"I mean, sure, you messed up." Ginny replied to his musings, not continuing until Miles looked up at her, tears in his eyes. The sight actually kind of broke her heart, as it reminded her of her own kids. Ginny pulled him into a light hug. "But that's how this job is. We either succeed or mess up. People love us or hate us. Villains are either a struggle or so easy you have time to quip and joke." That drew a laugh from the teen as Ginny continued hugging him.

A small smile graced her lips as she looked off into the distant city. "I've had my fair share of hardships in my world before I got the hang of being the one and only Spider-Woman." Miles remained silent, allowing her to continue talking. "People close to me got hurt or unfortunately died, and did I give up? No. I pushed forward stronger than I was before, having learned from my mistakes…"

"Though it did take me some time to get over grief…" Ginny's voice may have been insightful, but her tone held a bit of her past in there, as it sounded like she was holding back tears to some event that haunted her.

"Who has been your toughest villain?" Mile's voice broke through her reverie, startling her some. Ginny slowly looked down at the vulnerable teenager, and it yet again broke her heart some.

Turning back to the view, Ginny's facial expression turned vengeful, an expression that Miles had yet to see from the strong woman who looked more curious than angry. "I would say there has been two. One still lives."

Curious now, Miles sat up straight, looking up into Ginny's dark brown eyes. "Who are they?"

"Kraven the Hunter." Malice dripped from her tone as she remembered what had happened several years ago in her world. "And you already saw the other one back at Alchamax… The Hypno Lizard."

"He's hypnotized you before, hasn't he?" Miles asked softly, fearing the answer.

Tears formed at the edges of Ginny's eyes as she remembered falling under the spell each and every time. She nodded. "About ten times. Each time he… let's just say that he's 'increased the sexual tension'. That bastard…"

"You mean?" Mile's eyes widened in horror. "He did…?"

Again, the redhead nodded. "Yes. Unfortunately, I do mean that…" She didn't wish to go further, as she didn't want to scar the kid that badly.

"Oh." Miles replied.

For a while the two remained silent before Ginny turned back to him. "We all have our fair share of successes and failures…"

Miles nodded, thinking back to what Peter and Gwen had said happened in their worlds, and what might happen in his.

As time passed, the teenager started to view Ginny as an older sister. One who was strong, yet vulnerable like him, who didn't pity him or vice versa.

Ginny started to think the same about him. As they talked, she began to feel a bit of protectiveness for Miles. They smiled at each other before she stood up.

"Just remember, Miles, don't blame yourself for anything that happens… learn from it…" Ginny smiled as she walked over to the edge of the building, perching herself on the edge. "Come on. Let's get you back to school?"

Though deep down, Ginny knew he wasn't ready to fight this coming battle. He was still too inexperienced to handle Kingpin and his allies. Someone was going to have to stay behind to sacrifice themselves, and Ginny already knew Peter may just volunteer for that…

\\\\\

The two made it back to his dorm room and before Ginny could stop him, he let out his feelings and began to toss things everywhere.

'Not that I blame him,' Ginny reflected as she watched him throwing things around the room. 'Between his personal changes, his uncle being shot and his father's reaction to everything, it would be a miracle if he didn't just want to hit stuff.' The redhead noticed him pick up a comic of this world's Spider-Man, grow angry, and toss it out of the window. Ginny gave a low sigh, wanting to intervene, but aware from experience with Harry in these moods that Miles needed to vent his feelings.

But what surprised both of them is that the comic came back. A moment later, Peter, Gwen, Noir, Ham and Peni entered through the window. They heard the news about an arrest warrant out for him from overhearing the radio of a passing cop car, and knew what Miles was going through, other than his uncle almost dying. Peter and Gwen smiled at Ginny for looking after Miles as Peter laid a hand on Mile's shoulder.

He sighed. "Hey bud. Are you ok?"

They saw Miles lightly shake his head no. Peter closed his eyes as he crouched down to his level. "Look… I know your uncle didn't die, but he came close. We had experiences like that too, except worse."

"Really?" Miles asked as he looked at Peter warily.

"Yeah, we've all been there." Peter said as he clapped Miles on the shoulder.

"Now for me? For me, it was my Uncle Ben."

Noir laid a hand on Mile's right shoulder, the tone in his voice sad like the others. "For me, it was my Uncle Benjamin…"

Peni looked about ready to cry when she answered. "For me, it was my father."

"For me, it was my best friend." Gwen replied weakly.

"For me, it was one of my brothers…" Ginny said from the window behind Spider-Ham.

"Miles." Spider-Ham spoke up, looking about ready to cry. "The thing you need to understand is that… the hardest thing about this job… is that you can't always save everybody…"

Ginny frowned with what Miles said next. Did he forget about their talk already?

"Look, my uncle getting shot was my fault… you wouldn't understand…"

Gwen quickly shut him down when she had turned back to look at him. "Miles, we are probably some of the only people who do understand…"

The teen thought about that for a second, knowing that she was right about that. They all understood what he was going through, even if what happened to them involved a death.

Suddenly, the doorknob began to shake, and the gang jumped onto the roof, huddled together in a horrible attempt to keep from being seen.

Coming through the door was Mile's roommate. Ganke, was it? Listening to music with his headphones.

The Spider gang kept moving across the ceiling to try and stay out of eyesight of the roommate, but it was too late as he stared up at them after having spun around a few times.

"Hey there." Miles smiled nervously.

Spider-Ham turned towards Miles. "Do animals talk in this dimension? I don't want to freak him out…"

The teen passed out and Miles quickly jumped down to make it appear that he had dreamed of the whole thing by placing him in bed while in the background everyone began to sneak out.

When Miles turned around, he stopped dead in his tracks when seeing Gwen looking at him from the window, and Peter leaning against the computer desk, arms crossed.

"Goodbye Miles." Gwen said sadly as she leaped out the window.

Peter watched as Miles looked confused and hurt that she was leaving before looking back at him fully. "Miles, I've come to say goodbye."

Raising an eyebrow, Miles fetched the collider shut down device. "We can say goodbye at the Collider…"

"You don't get it." Peter cut him off sternly. "You're staying here."

"What?" Miles, flabbergasted, stared at Peter like he was crazy. "I need to destroy it… if you stay here, you'll all die. I need to send you home."

Closing his eyes slightly, Peter sighed and groaned at once. "They are going home Miles… I'm the only one staying."

Miles looked towards him with an 'are you serious' expression. "You're taking my place? Are you sure about that? You stay here, you'll die…"

Peter's voice began to raise as he leaned towards Miles. "I'm doing what needs to be done. I just wanted you to hear it from me…"

Frowning at him, Miles gestured outside as if someone was out there. "W-w-what about MJ, Peter? Did you think about her?"

Peter rolled his eyes as he groaned again. "Not everything works out, kid, believe me." Peter extended his hand out to Miles, regretting the whole situation, but his mind was made up. "I need the goober."

When Miles didn't give it to him right away, Peter shook his head as he took another step forward. "Please, don't make me have to take it from you."

Moving his arm that contained the device behind him, Miles started to get defensive. "That's not fair… you have to tell them that I can do-"

"It wasn't their decision." Peter cut him off, gesturing at himself. He knew Miles would be hurt dearly by this, but it's what he thinks needs to be done.

Miles looked more disappointed than hurt as he dropped his arms and looked away, not wanting to even look at Peter.

"I have to stop Kingpin… you have to let me stop him and make him pay for nearly killing my uncle."

"Miles, you're going to get yourself killed…"

"But I'm ready…" But before he could finish that sentence, Peter swiped his legs out from underneath him and jumped to the roof, catching Miles by the front of his Spider-Man merch shirt.

Peter looked down at Miles, a bit angry that the kid was fighting him on this. "Then why don't you venom strike me right now. Or turn invisible, on command, so you can get past me."

Outside the window, Gwen looked upset for Miles. She wanted him to join them. He had become a friend, probably even a best friend. It hurt her to see him struggling to become Spider-Man…

"Poor little guy." Noir whispered just enough for the others to hear him.

Gwen bit her lip as she listened to the other teen struggle to do what Peter asked, almost wanting to go back in there and hug the struggling, scared teenager.

"I'm sorry, Miles." They heard Peter say, as web shooters could be heard firing. "But you just aren't ready…"

"When will I-..." Another web shooter went off, cutting off Miles from speaking, so Peter must've blocked his mouth.

Just before Peter left, he turned slightly towards the kid. "You won't. It's a leap of faith, Miles. A leap of faith."

He then jumped out the window, with the rest of the Spiders following him. However, Miles was slightly touched to note that Gwen and Ginny looked back at him before they crossed the horizon, the redhead looking indecisive, while the blonde was more clearly upset. At least he knew the girl he thought of as an older sister, and the other he was kind of crushing on, didn't fully agree with abandoning him…

\\\\\

A knock on the door sometime later roused Miles from his daydreaming, and he panicked, thinking someone was going to come in. But then he heard a familiar voice muffled through the door.

"Miles? Miles, it's your dad…" he sounded worried. Miles moved a little closer to the door to hear his father better. "Miles, I can see your shadow moving around…"

Miles stopped, eyes wide, thinking he was going to open the door and see what had happened and get pissed off at Peter and co. But luckily he didn't.

"Alright…" He said with a sigh. "Yeah, yeah, I get it, you're still ignoring me. But… can we talk?"

"Something… happened in Queens today, and it got me thinking about you and how you act at times… it's just that… I don't want us to drift apart."

"Look, I know sometimes people drift apart, Miles…" Miles moved a little closer, hanging onto every word his dad uttered through the door. "And I don't want that to us, ok, Miles?"

"I know I don't do what you need me to do, or say what you want me to say… but…"

"I see this spark in you, and it's amazing, it's why I push you so hard… but… it's yours. Whatever you choose to do with it, you'll do great…"

This speech was starting to spur Miles on a little as he listened. It was as if his dad was hyping him up for something he didn't even know his son was wanting to do.

Miles pressed his hand against the door, his dad pressed his hand against the other side of the door. There was silence for a few moments, and Miles enjoyed the peace of just knowing his dad actually seemed to care about him other than him doing his school work and being a good citizen.

"Call me what you can… alright? I love you."

Miles wanted to say it back, but he heard the footfalls of his dad walking down the hall.

After about 10 minutes of just sitting around and thinking things over, Miles was ready. He knew he was. Electricity started to flow down his body from his eyes down to his fingertips where he created an electric shockwave that got the webbing off of him. His roommate chose that moment to wake up, however, Miles had turned invisible knowing that would happen.

After his roommate fell back to the pillows, Miles made his way to the window, down to the street, and started making his way to Queens sprinting as fast as his legs could carry him. There was a huge urgency to do so if he wanted to be there to send all of his newfound Spider friends home, including Peter. It was his mission…

As he made his way to May Parker's house and walked back into the backyard, the shed lock activated before he even pressed the button, confusing the teen, and as he descended, the lights for the most part stayed off.

When he got to the bottom floor, Miles squinted through the darkness at a figure. He was about to ask who it was when the lights came on, revealing the figure to be May, smirking at him while drinking coffee in a chair.

After a long moment, she finally smiled at him as she stood up.

"Took you long enough…"

\\\\\

A piece of machinery slammed into the wall so hard that a dent was created in both objects. A man was pacing a large, expansive and empty room, enraged as he hopped up onto a floating platform.

The man shouted with so much hatred in his voice at what was showing on his screens. "LYLA."

The holographic AI woman appeared before him, looking as if she was about to share a joke, but it died on her lips as she saw the look on the man's face.

"Miguel?" She asked slowly. "What's been happening?"

"SHE…" the dark and brooding man pointed to a screen of Ginny interacting with Miles and everyone. "HAS BEEN WHAT'S HAPPENING." Miguel shouted to the sky, slamming his fist on the console.

Lyla shrugged, though she seemed more confused and wasn't exactly following along. "What… about her?"

"Ginny Weasley of Earth 1276 is ruining the Canon… and I could go there myself, I would." Though, as he continued to watch the screen, controls on the console started to short out. "HOW LONG UNTIL THE INTERDIMENSIONAL WATCH IS READY?"

Lyla's eyes widened in shock at his outburst, but a few holographic screens appeared around her, answering his question. "In about… 6 hours…"

Miguel smiled. "Good. Ginny won't be joining the Spider Society once we are sure it works and mass produce it."

Lyla raised an eyebrow as she pulled up a past security screen to show him, an expression on her face that indicated for him to watch.

He did.

"I know, Lyla..." Miguel said, stone faced as he watched the events play out, swiping to different angles of Ginny hugging Luna tightly, crying her eyes out. "Fire-Spider may not have wished to do so… but if she hadn't dropped her friend… even by mere chance of that gear coming between them, she too would have died when that explosion that knocked her against the wall." Miguel explained, swiping back and forth, but remaining focused on what was in front of him.

He got to a part of the clip where Ginny attempted to pull Luna up. "If she were up on that beam by the time of the explosion, her body would've taken the full force of it and died, regardless of her new suit. Universe 1276 would've been left without a Spider-Woman. It could've unraveled into chaos…"

After a long moment of silence as the pair watched Ginny carry her friend out of the tower into a crowd of volunteers coming to help, Lyla pursed her lips in thought as she surveyed the scene before them as Ginny limped away. "Do you think she's ready to join the task force you've been creating? This universe's canon event did just happen…"

Miguel stood watching the scene for another moment before he shook his head, his scowl turning to a more sympathetic look, but barely. "Fire-Spider needs more time as a hero to better understand her place in the world before we dump all this information about other universes onto her… She's only been Spider-Woman for a little over two years…"

"Oh… ok… whatever you say, Miguel." Lyla sighed before vanishing off to do something else."

Veins appeared on Miguel's temples as his sharp, vampire like teeth protruded out. His whole body was shaking as he used all of his strength to smash the control dashboard, severing many of the connections.

"I KNOW WHAT I SAID, LYLA." His enraged voice echoing through the empty facility. "That was before she started messing around in universe 1610… throwing everything off course."

"How exactly did she throw everything off course?" Lyla asked, an unamused face masking her holographic features. "If anything, I think it's working out for them quite well."

"No… without her the canon of 1610, despite the death of Spider-Man and Miles becoming the new one, would have proceeded just fine."

When Lyla didn't ask any further questions, Miguel continued. "Her Lizard was pulled into the world with her, altering Kingpin's plans. Prowler should've died right after the battle at May Parkers. Vulture shouldn't even be here and should be in prison. And the worst part is Black Cat is now in the mix." He was getting even more pissed as he kept talking. "Nothing is happening the way it should.

He had no idea of the disastrous implications that could be caused by canon being disrupted, but Miguel still wanted to follow it.

"Oh." Was all Lyla could say.

Miguel's mask appeared around his face as he turned and walked away. "I'm going to go fight some crime to get some steam off… let me know what happened when I return."

"Of course, have fun…"

Lyla then went back into the 1276 files to look at images of Ginny under the mind control of Lizard, wondering how Ginny will be able to beat him in the inevitable confrontation without falling to his powers. She did cringe a lot of the time when watching Ginny be forced to get stark naked and the Lizard grope her for hours on end.

But, right before Lyla switched the screens, Lyla realized what could be the end of the Lizard. During one of their battles right before Ginny was hypnotized for the last time before creating the anti-hypno glasses, she had caused the Lizard to get his arm impaled on a spark spike from a piece of debris.

"Maybe…" Lyla whispered. "That's how they defeat such an unorthodox foe… by having to kill him…?"

With that thought in mind, Lyla did as she was instructed and watched the events in 1610 to play out to tell Miguel about later once he returned, even as her attention kept being drawn back to Ginny's last fight with the Lizard prior to her creating the anti-hypno lenses…
