I don't own the storyline, just the characters. R.L. Stine owns it all.

All of the credits and rights go to him.

Hope y'all enjoy!

The next morning, when I woke up, i was honestly hoping I was back to normal. But when I looked up at my ceiling, I knew I wasn't in Kansas anymore.

Hanging from the ceiling, hovering above my head, was a mobile. Like one in a baby's room.

Then I started to to smell something, something nasty. Slowly I started to realize where the smell was coming from.

Oh! I thought as I smelled the air. That's me. It smells terrible!

From across the room, I heard my door open and my mom's face came into view. "Hello, my little baby girl. Can you believe it? You're one year old today!" She squealed. Then she made a weird face. "Phew, looks like little Becca needs a diaper change."

Then my dad walked in. "Well, I wonder what this little pumpkin wants to do for her first birthday?"

Hmm, is this a hint I wonder. I thought, smiling. "Perhaps take a trip to the antique store?"

Yeah, alright! Right on the nose! In my excitement, I started to bounce up and down in my crib.

"What do you think, hon?" Dad was looking at mom, grinning.

"Okay, but let's not go to Monty's."

"What's wrong with Monty's?" Dad asked, a deflated look on his face.

Yeah, what's wrong with Monty's? I wondered, as my baby voice sounded gibberish.

"Nothing. He just charges an arm and a leg for anything in his store. Maybe we should go anywhere. Becca's getting a little fussy." Mom said.

Fussy, huh? I show you fussy. I thought as I started to laugh.

"She's fine. C'mon, just for a little while."

"Okay, fine." She said, as she got me dressed for the day.

An hour later, we where headed on our way to the antique store and I began to wiggle with excitement. Because I finally figured out how to break the spell.

I was in my stroller, my mom rolling me into the downtown square. "Ok, here we are." Mom rolled me inside Monty's antique store.

"Hey, Monty." Dad said, as he and mom walked over to him.

"Hey, there Robert. You in here to buy something?"

"No, just looking around."

"Well, have I got something to show you. I think you'll really like it." As he dragged them away, I started to form a plan of how to get to the cuckoo clock.

I unclipped myself from the stroller and slid down to the floor. Then I pulled myself to a standing position and began to walk towards the cuckoo clock.

When I reached it, I started to climb to the top of it to turn the cuckoo's head. Once I got up to the second part, I knocked over a vase.

Whew. That was close. I thought as I ran my hands over my head.

I looked around to see if my parents had noticed that I wasn't in my stroller anymore, but they didn't.

Climbed to the third part and just as the cuckoo head came out, I reached up and twisted the head back to its original position.

As if I had gotten shocked, I was repelled by cuckoo clock. I fell against the love seat.

My dad ran in the room. "Becca, how many times have I told you to stay away from this clock. You're 16 years old; act like it."

"I am 16!" I exclaimed, happily. "I'm 16!" I ran towards him a kiss him on the forehead. "I love you!"

"Well, I love you too, but keep your hands off my cuckoo."

"Ok, guys, lunch is ready!" Mom said, as she walked in the living room.

"Mom! Mom! I love you!" I said, as I hugged her hard.

"Oh I love you too, sweetheart." Mom said, as engulfed me in a big hug.

"I'll go get Matt."

"There's not really a reason to do that." Mom said.

"What? Why?"

"You don't know anyone named Matt."

A loud siren echoed in my brain. I tried to run away, but I was stuck in place.

I woke up with a jolt and realized that I was in my own bed. I woke up, completely covered in sweat and tears.

I began to cry, because Matt was really gone. I thought I'd enjoy it, but no matter, I'd still miss him.

My parents burst through the door, with Matt hot on their tails. "Becca! You're finally awake."

I saw that Matt had tear stains on his cheeks. He ran over to me and pulled me into the biggest hug. "Becca, I'm so sorry. It was all my fault. I'm a bad brother."

"What happened?"

"Well, from what Matt told us, we know that yesterday, Matt scared you and you fell and hit your head. You've been passed out ever since."

Huh? Passed out? So, I was never aging backwards. Whew. At least I made it out alive.

"I'm just glad to be back in the land of the living."

Mom and Dad were just staring at Matt. "Matt has something he wants to tell you."

I looked down at him. "What is it, Matt?"

He gulped. "Becca, I wanted to tell you how truly sorry I am for how I've treated you. I promise not to be a bother anymore. I won't do something to ruin your birthday again."

I got tears in my eyes. "It's ok! I forgive you, Matt. I'm sorry I haven't been the best sister. I'll try to be better and not get mad at you anymore."

I pulled Matt into a hug as I felt the tears come down my cheeks. Now, I wouldn't give up my life for anything. I love where am, who I'm with. I love my family.
