Denouement (noun): The final part of a literary work, in which final strands of its plot are drawn together. After a millennium of the annual Hunger Games, President Hazel decides to end the ancient tradition with an epic final death game: 24 tributes will be reaped from every district. The odds will not be in the favor of 287 tributes, as only one will arise victorious.

I was inspired by the Victors' universe created by Oisin55 and his amazing Victors' Project when writing this. I wanted to depict how each Victors' Village reacted to the 3rd Quarter Quell twist. Ramsey Clyde won the 72nd Hunger Games at a mere age of fifteen using her skills of manipulation, a dagger, and her completely 'wily' aura. As the Quarter Quell comes around and Katniss and Peeta are thrown into the arena with her, unnerving feelings of apprehension arise- as well as unnerving feelings of affection and attraction.

The rebellion never started. While people were disgruntled by the outcome of the 74th Hunger Games, District Thirteen had actually been completely destroyed in the first rebellion, so there was no way to plan a second one. People are generally unhappy, but the world moves on and now it's time for the first Hunger Games in which Katniss and Peeta will be mentors.

President Snow has announced the Third Quarter Quell. Each of the districts' victors reacts in their own way. Some look out for their own interests, others look beyond their own districts. My take on what happened in each of the Victors' Villages in the aftermath of the announcement.
