Declaimer: I don't own any characters from Little Witch Academia, I'm just doing this for fun.

It was a disastrous day in every sense of the word, starting from the moment she got out of bed clearly late for class, to the end of the day with a surprise exam from Professor Finnelan that she surely failed miserably adding to this, Sucy had, for the second time, tried a certain potion that left her with a unicorn horn on her forehead the size of the Tokyo Tower, giving her classmates a reason to ridicule her. Not to mention the inquisitive gaze of Diana and the cutting and mocking words from Hanna and Barbara.

She was tired.

So tired.

She rushed out of class to the room she shared with her two so-called friends, although more so with Lotte than Sucy.

She took off her hat and shoes; the uniform didn't matter. All she wanted in that moment was to be alone. Without hesitation, she threw herself onto the bed, grabbed the sheets, and covered herself completely with them.

Every day was the same modus operandi: getting up, rushing to class, making the greatest effort to get grades that didn't even come close to average, enduring the teasing of your classmates, watching others being praised and loved while constantly being reminded that you're not cut out to be a witch. Only a few of your friends offer genuine support, while the rest treat you either as a guinea pig or an excuse to escape their own problems. Moreover, your love interest doesn't even consider you worthy of a conversation.

"Aaaaaaah," Akko sighed.

"Is all this effort really worth it?" she whispered quietly to no one in particular.

"Is it truly worth it to stay here, in this place where nobody, absolutely nobody, appreciates what I do?"

And so, she continued for a good while, hammering these thoughts over and over again, trying to reach some conclusion that would help her stop feeling that emptiness growing in her heart, which only seemed to expand as the seconds ticked by.

.

.

After a while, she heard a noise. It was the door of the room, and Lotte and Sucy entered. They didn't appear genuinely concerned, perhaps assuming it was one of her typical tantrums. They didn't ask her anything, nor did they make an effort to delve deeper into the fact that this time things seemed a bit different.

Immersed further in her thoughts, the morning arrived, and something unexpected happened. For the first time since she had started classes at Luna Nova, she lacked the motivation to rise and confront the day ahead. Her limbs felt heavier than usual, her mind didn't respond the way she expected. Only after some effort and Lotte's insistence did she manage to get up, only to find that the door seemed like an impenetrable wall of steel, and no matter what she did, she couldn't pass through it.

Giving up, she told her friends to go ahead without her, explaining that she didn't feel well enough to attend classes today. They complied, leaving her behind. She, on the other hand, returned to her bed and continued delving deeper and deeper into her thoughts.

Days passed, and there was no sign of improvement. In fact, the void within her was becoming unbearable, and the desire to leave her room was almost nonexistent. There were nights when she couldn't even sleep as she was plagued by horrendous dreams where her classmates, friends, and teachers mistreated her in countless ways. It ranged from public humiliation to punishments where she had to drink a potion in front of all her classmates while writhing in pain caused by the concoction.

On the other hand, her classmates were starting to feel the absence of a certain Japanese girl who made the classes more enjoyable. They missed her unexpected pranks and creative ways of handling problems, which were unique and distinctive, not found in any other student at Luna Nova.

The concern was so great that a certain prodigious witch, who had been thinking about the Japanese girl for quite some time, decided to ask Lotte and Sucy about her well-being.

"Sucy, what should we do? No matter what we try or how we attempt to deceive her, we can't even get her out of the room with food," Lotte said.

"If things continue like this, we may have to forcefully take her out" Sucy replied.

"No, Sucy! If we do that, the situation will surely be worse," Lotte exclaimed.

"Excuse me, Manbavaran, Jansson, I couldn't help but overhear your conversation. Is there any update regarding Kagari's condition?" Diana asked.

"A Hello, Diana... The truth is, no, things seem to be getting worse. She doesn't even speak to us anymore. She seems like a different person, not the Akko we know. It's so frustrating, and... and..." Lotte couldn't finish her sentence without a lump forming in her throat, as a few tears escaped from her eyes. Sucy simply looked at her, unsure of what to do to console her.

"Thank you for the response, Jansson," Diana said, as she walked away to continue with her duties. In the distance, the sound of Lotte's sobs could still be heard.

POV – Akko

I heard a knock on the door, but I didn't pay any attention to it. It didn't matter who was coming; no one could change the state I was in.

.

.

Knock, knock!

The knock came again, this time louder. 'They really don't understand that no matter what they do or say, it won't solve anything I'm feeling'.

"Miss Atsuko, are you in there?"

This time, the knock was accompanied by a voice. 'Argh, wasn't it obvious? I hadn't left the room in... what, a day, a week, a month? I didn't know. I had lost track of time as well'.

"Miss Atsuko, it is the headmistress. There is something I need to discuss with you."

'How nice that now they decide to give importance to the matter when it's already too late.' She though ironically

She got up from bed with no energy, her legs wobbling, but with a resolution that had been growing in her head for quite some time and now, as the moment presented itself, had gained unimaginable strength.

She grabbed the doorknob and swung it wide open, only to be surprised that the headmistress wasn't the only one present there. Some students from Luna Nova whom she didn't know were there too, her classmates, her friends Lotte, Sucy, Amanda, Jasminka, and Constance, as well as the unusual presence of Hanna and Barbara.

Even Professor Ursula was there.

But the one who caught her attention the most was Diana, standing with perfect posture and an empty expression they all knew well. She was wearing her flawless Luna Nova uniform, which accentuated her alluring curves that drove Akko crazy whenever she looked at her from behind. Those slender and soft legs, that snow-white skin, and her distinctively colored hair—no matter where you looked, it was her most captivating feature.

But at this moment, it didn't matter. Perhaps, just perhaps, if this situation had arisen a few days earlier, she wouldn't have made that decision.

She took a deep breath, and before the headmistress could say anything else, she uttered a sentence that left everyone present speechless.

"I'm going to leave Luna Nova."
