Then the next morning, Skye woke up and then went to the Knapford Station Yard.

Then Skye shunted the coaches into place.

Then Thomas woke up and went to the Knapford Station Yard.

"Thomas, I want you to take the same coaches to Brendam Docks," Sir Topham Hatt said. "The Railway Inspector is here."

"Yes, Sir!" Thomas said.

"Good, but make you stop at every station to drop off or pick up passengers," Sir Topham Hatt said.

"Skye, you can go too, but make sure you stay close to Thomas this time," Sir Topham Hatt said.

"I will this time, Sir!" Skye said. "And I'm not making the same mistake again like I did before!"

"And this time, Thomas, can you please keep an eye on her?" Sir Topham Hatt asked.

"Yes, Sir!" Thomas said. "But what if more freight cars are out of place?"

"Then leave them, Thomas, but if you pass any other engine, please let them know," Sir Topham Hatt said.

Then Thomas went to Knapford.

Then Skye fetched the coaches and brought them to Thomas.

Then Thomas was coupled up to the train.

Then Thomas blew his whistle and the passengers got on board.

Then Thomas and Skye started chugging and chugged away and then, when they stopped at Crossby, they stopped.

Then the passengers got off.

Then Thomas blew his whistle and the passengers got on.

Then Thomas saw freight cars in a mess again.

"I can't waste my time with freight cars today," Thomas said. "Doing so will just make Skye leave again if she really does get bored or more bored than ever."

Then Goby and Oona arrived in the station.

"Hello, Thomas and Skye!" Goby and Oona whistled.

"Hello, Goby and Oona!" Thomas and Skye whistled.

"Skye, I want to apologizing for getting angry at you for destroying my train," Goby said.

"It's okay, Goby, and I kind of deserved it for not obeying Thomas's order not to pass the signal in front of Wellsworth," Skye said.

"That's why we should follow orders, Skye, or else, it might lead to trouble!" Oona said.

"I get it now, Oona," Skye said.

"Anyway, Goby and Oona, can you rearrange those freight cars?" Thomas asked. "I have to keep an eye on Skye since she hasn't learn quite learn to be out here on her own and she isn't ready yet."

"Certainly, Thomas," Goby and Oona said. "We're not like grouchy James who dislikes shunting freight cars!"

Then Goby and Oona went off to shunt the cars.

Then Thomas and Skye started chugging and chugged away and then, when they got to Wellsworth, they stopped.

Then the passengers got off.

Then Thomas blew his whistle and the passengers got on.

Then Thomas saw freight cars in a mess again.

"Again with this, Bill and Ben?" Thomas asked. "You already fool me once but you won't fool me again because I haven't got the time to waste with them today!"

Then Deema and Nonny arrived in the station.

"Hello, Thomas and Skye!" Nonny and Deema whistled.

"Hello, Nonny and Deema!" Thomas and Skye whistled.

"How are you doing today, Skye?" Nonny asked.

"I'm doing fine, Nonny," Skye said.

"Well, good, I was worried because you crashed into Goby's Milk Tankers, but thank goodness that you aren't hurt," Nonny said.

"Yes, I did, and thanks for that, Nonny, but I did deserve it," Skye said.

"You might have deserved that for not following Thomas's order, Skye, but we all learn from our mistakes," Deema said.

"You made a mistake, Deema?" Skye asked.

"Yes, I did, Skye, once I was pulling foolish freight cars and they pushed me and made me crash into James's and Tina's Sodor Fuel Tankers and they got very cross because I got them and me all dirty with sodor fuel," Deema said.

"And me too since one day after Deema's mistake, I was also pulling foolish freight cars and they pushed me and made me crash into James's and Tina's Sodor Fuel Tankers and they got very cross because I got them and me all dirty with sodor fuel," Nonny said.

"Wow," Skye said.

"How in the world did you crash?" Thomas asked.

"Because I wasn't thinking of what I was doing and was thinking of something else," Deema said.

"And because I wasn't paying attention in my job and was busy paying attention to other things," Nonny said.

"I see," Thomas said.

"You see, Skye, we all make mistakes but we can learn from them," Nonny and Deema said. "You can ask Goby and Deema about their mistakes."

"I will," Skye said.

"Um, Nonny and Deema, can you rearrange those freight cars?" Thomas asked. "I do not want to waste time reorganizing them today especially since I'm keeping an eye on Skye since she hasn't quite learn to go out here on her own and isn't ready for this sort of thing."

"Certainly, Thomas," Nonny and Deema said. "We're not like grouchy who dislikes shunting freight cars."

Then Nonny and Deema went off to shunt the cars.

Then Thomas and Skye started chugging and they chugged and then, when they got to a signal, they stopped.

"Why did we have to stop?" Skye asked.

"That's because we have to go to Brendam Docks, so we have to wait for the signalmen to change the points," Thomas said. "When its time for work, they have to change the the points so the engines can go their right destinations."

"But when I arrived here, I didn't have to wait for anything," Skye said. "So why do we wait now?"

"When you arrived here, every engine had to go the other way out of the Knapford and this part of the mainline, from Knapford to here, was closed so you can come to Knapford, Skye," Thomas explained. "Now, since you're here, this part is no longer closed. And because it's no longer close, it's not safe for you to go out on your own if you're a recent and new arrival."

"I see," Skye said.

Then the signalman changed the points.

Then Thomas and Skye started chugging and went on the branch line and chugged away and then, when they got to Suddery, they stopped.

Then the passengers got off.

Then Thomas blew his whistle and the passengers got on.

Then Thomas and Skye started chugging and chugged away and then, when they got to Brendam Docks, they stopped.

Then the passengers got off.

"I'm impressed to meet you, Thomas," The Railway Inspector said.

"You too," Thomas said.

"And you must be Skye," The Railway Inspector said.

"Yes, I am," Skye said.

"Skye is a recent and new arrival so she needs to learn a lot before she can go out on her own but I asked Sir Topham Hatt if she can go with me on special trains and he said that she can but only if she stays close to me and follow my orders and that I have to keep an eye on her," Thomas said.

"That's very nice," The Railway Inspector said.

"Yes, it is," Thomas said. "But yesterday, the day didn't went exactly like I planned, Bill and Ben decided to play a trick on me and Skye by disorganizing the freight cars so I can reorganize them and they kept doing that until Skye was bored and left the area, which caused her to slid on the shampoowy rails which made her crash into Goby's Milk Tankers."

"That's terrible," The Railway Inspector said. "But at least she's alright."

"Yes it is," Thomas said.

"Um, Thomas, can I go again?" Skye asked.

"Alright you can, but don't leave Brendam Docks and stay where I can see you," Thomas said.

Then the workmen uncoupled Skye and Skye went to each siding to look around.

Then Skye went back to the train.

"What are those freight cars?" Skye asked.

"They're sugar cars and they're meant to go to Suddery so the Baker can make sweets," Thomas explained.

"Who collects them?" Skye asked.

Then Ruby, a male ruby red tender engine that has the same shape as James, and Sapphire, a female sapphire blue tender engine that has the same shape as James, puffed into the yard and collected their cars.

"Hello, Thomas!" Ruby and Sapphire whistled.

"Hello, Ruby and Sapphire!" Thomas whistled.

"And who is this?" Ruby and Sapphire asked.

"Oh, that's Skye, she's the new tank engine that arrived nine days ago," Thomas said. "Skye, this is Ruby and Sapphire. They love to pull the cars."

"That's right, we do," Ruby and Sapphire said. "That's why we're mixed traffic engines. And that "tender engines don't shunt or fetch coaches/cars" thing is silly. If you don't want to fetch coaches, then that's being lazy and not doing your work. And if you're not doing your work, then you're not being really useful engines."

Then Ruby and Sapphire chugged away.

Then Thomas blew his whistle and the passengers got on and the Railway Inspector got in his cab.

Then Thomas and Skye started chugging and chugged way and then, when they got Suddery again, they stopped.

Then the passengers got off.

Then Thomas blew his whistle and the passengers got on.

Then Thomas and Skye started chugging again and then, when they reached the same signal, they stopped.

"Why did we stop now?" Skye asked.

"There's a cow on the track," Thomas said.

Then Thomas blew his whistle.

Then a signal came up.

"You call, Thomas?" The signalman asked.

"Yes, there's a cow on the tracks," Thomas said.

"Here, girl," the signalman said, putting hay on the grass. "Come and get the hay."

Then the cow moved out the tracks and mooed a different sound of moo.

"Hmm," Thomas said. "That's a different sound of moo."

"It's a warning moo, Thomas," Skye said.

"A warning moo?" Thomas asked.

"Yes, a warning moo," Skye said. "It's like the signals, which its yellow, it means danger so you need to slow down."

"How did you know that?" The signalman asked.

"I've been to a lot of places with animals in the Mainland, so I developed the ability to speak animals," Skye said.

"Impressive," The signalman said.

"Moo moo moo-moo-moo-moo," the cow said.

"She's saying that there is danger on the track ahead," Skye said. "There's a slippery substance up ahead."

"Then let's see what this danger is," Thomas said. "Thanks, cow!"

Then Thomas and Skye started chugging slowly and chugged away and then, when they got next to the buffers, they stopped and saw slippery fuel on the tracks.

"There's slippery fuel on the tracks," Thomas said. "We can't cross until this is cleaned up."

Then, in the Haultraugh Railway, Citrine, a female citrine yellow engine that has the same shape as James, was pushing a train of eight Cinnamon Cars up on Gems Hill.

Then Emerald chugged up beside her.

"What are you doing, Citrine?" Emerald asked.

"I'm pushing this train of Cinnamon Cars, Emerald," Citrine answered.

"Well, why are you pushing instead of pulling?" Emerald asked.

"Because my brake van got destroyed and I can't think of anything else besides pushing it," Citrine answered.

"Oh, I see," Emerald said. "Well, Citrine, do you need any help?"

"No, I don't, Citrine said. "But thanks for asking, Emerald."

"I see," Emerald said. "But come to me if you need help and your coupling is kinda loose so you better stop and fix that before."

"I will," Citrine said. "But I don't need to fix my coupling and I have no time to waste."

Then Emerald chugged away as Citrine was still chugging but when Citrine reached the top of Gems Hill, the coupling broke and the Cinnamon Cars went zooming down the other side of hill.

"Oh no!" Citrine said.

Then the Cinnamon Cars zoomed past Tidmouth and then Knapford and then zoomed past Crossby and then zoomed past Wellsworth and still kept going on.

Then the Cinnamon Cars went faster and faster and when even faster when they got on the slippery fuel.

Then Thomas saw the Cinnamon Cars.

"Oh no!" Thomas said.

Then Thomas closed his eyes and the Cinnamon Cars crashed right into him and the cars got destroyed in the process but Thomas was covered in cinnamon.

Then Citrine chugged up.

"Are you okay, Thomas?" Citrine asked.

"Yes, I am okay, Citrine," Thomas said.

"I'm sorry, Thomas," Citrine said. "It's all my fault."

"No, it isn't your fault, Citrine," Thomas said.

Then Emerald arrived with Sir Topham Hatt and he was very cross.

"Citrine, couplings are for safety and to prevent hazards," Sir Topham Hatt said. "You should have listened to Emerald's advice and fixed your coupling or let him help you."

"Sorry, sir," Citrine said.

"So, you didn't want to fix your coupling or let Emerald help you?" Thomas asked.

"Yes, I didn't want to do either of that because I don't want to be late," Citrine said. "And I'm sorry about this."

"It's okay, Citrine," Thomas said. "Everyone makes mistakes. But better safe than sorry and better safe than late."

"Thomas, why did you stop here?" Sir Topham Hatt asked.

"There is slippery fuel on the tracks, Sir," Thomas said. "But we didn't know what it was but a slippery substance so we decided to go slowly, thanks to a cow."

"A cow?" Sir Topham Hatt asked. "How can you understand a cow?"

"I can't," Thomas said. "That was thanks to Skye, Sir, she can speak animals and understands them very well."

"I see," Sir Topham Hatt said. "Great job, Skye! Thomas's condition would have been much worse if it wasn't for you."

"Thanks, Sir," Skye said.

Then the workmen cleared the wreckage and cleaned the tracks.

Then Thomas and Skye started chugging and chugged away and then, when they got to Wellsworth again, they stopped and the passengers got off.

Then James arrived.

"Hello, Thomas!" James whistled.

"Hello, James!" Thomas whistled.

"What happened to you?" James asked. "It looks like you had a cinnamon bath!"

Thomas was crossed.

"I think I know what happened, you wanted to see cinnamon sweets so you crashed into a bakery!" James laughed.

"That didn't happen, James," Skye said. "Cinnamon Cars crashed into Thomas."

"Oh, sorry, Thomas," James said.

Then Thomas stopped being cross.

"It's okay, James," Thomas said.

Then James chugged away.

Then Thomas whistled and the passengers got on.

Then Thomas and Skye started chugging and chugged away and then, when they got to Crossby again, they stopped and the passengers got off.

Then Edward arrived.

"Hello, Thomas!" Edward whistled.

"Hello, Edward!" Thomas whistled.

"Thomas, you are covered in Cinnamon," Edward said. "I know you like cinnamon but I didn't know that you like it this much!"

Thomas was crossed.

"Maybe I can guess what happened, you wanted to see something cinnamon that you crashed into a bakery!" Edward laughed.

"That's not what happened, Edward," Skye said. "Cinnamon Cars crashed into Thomas."

"Oh, sorry, Thomas," Edward said.

Then Thomas stopped being trained.

"It's okay, Edward," Thomas said.

Then Thomas blew his whistle and the passengers got on.

Then Thomas and Skye started chugging and chugged away and then, when they got to Knapford again, they stopped and the passengers got off as well as the Railway Inspector.

"Congratulations, Thomas! You are splendid engine, despite being covered in Cinnamon, you still work very hard, I'll let Sir Topham Hatt know immediately," The Railway Inspector said.

"Thanks, Sir!" Thomas said.

"And you did a fine job yourself, Skye!" The Railway Inspector said.

"Thanks, Sir!" Skye said.

"Thomas, can you leave those coaches in the siding?" The Railway Inspector said.

"Yes, I can, Sir!" Thomas said.

Then the workmen uncoupled Skye and Skye went to Tidmouth Sheds and then went into her shed.

Then Thomas went to a siding.

Then the workmen uncoupled Thomas and then Thomas went to Tidmouth Sheds.

The other engines thought that was pretty funny.

"Thomas, it looks like you had a cinnamon shower!" Tina said. "You might have crashed into a shed and got cinnamon all over you!"

"It really does look like you had a cinnamon shower, Thomas!" Lina said. "It could be possible that you crashed into a shack and got cinnamon all over you!"

"Cinnamon Rolls!" Henry said.

"Cinnamon Buns!" Sina said.

Thomas was crossed and so was Skye and Percy.

"That isn't funny," Skye said.

"And it's not fun for Thomas either," Percy said.

Then Sir Topham Hatt arrived.

"Thomas, you have done an excellent job today!" Sir Topham Hatt said. "Since your dirty but still went on working without stopping for a wash, you can go to washdown and then tomorrow you can go to the Ice Cream to deliver those syrup tankers."

Then Thomas, Skye, and Percy stopped being cross.

"Thanks, Sir!" Thomas said.

Then Thomas went to the washdown and got washed and he was cleaned again.

Then Thomas went to his shed.

Then Thomas, Skye, and the other engines fell asleep but Thomas and Skye had learned a valuable lesson and that is if your coupling is loose then make sure to stop and fix it and take a look at the situation to see what it means.

What's going to happen next?

Stay tuned to find out!
