Forever With Lord Sesshomaru
Wow! It has been sometime since I've updated this story. I totally forgot about it as I have been focused on other stories and been busy with real life. I now decided that it's time to finish this small story and focus on getting the other ones finished too. Enjoy!
A week had passed since that night Rin and Sesshomaru became engaged. Though she wanted to return with him after they made promises, she had to return home to pack up her belongings and say her goodbyes to her family and friends. After all, it has been her home since she was eight. "Rin dear, why not take a break and have a cup of tea with me." Kaede patted the floor beside her. "You've been busy packing since you got back dear. Just take a few minutes of relaxation."
A break did sound nice, and Rin realized she hadn't had one break since she woke up that morning. But she was leaving that night and still had a bit more to pack. It only took her a second to agree and sit and have tea with her granny. When her tea was passed to her, "thank you. I didn't realize I had so much." She was only bringing what she wanted most. Everything else would be donated to anyone in need. Mostly the girls coming of age within the village.
"It happens my dear. Are you ready to start your next chapter in your life?" Kaede was happy for Rin as she knew that her sweet darling girl had been seeking that next step in her life.
"I am, granny. To be married soon… it's enchanting." Though her wedding wouldn't be for some time. She wanted to get settled into her new home first and get accustomed to her new life with her soon to be husband, Sesshomaru. "I get to plan everything and create the ceremony kimono and a haori for… Sesshomaru and I to wear." It still tickled her lips when she said his name without a title. But she couldn't wait to create and style her soon husband and herself.
"I'm sure you are, dear. Do you have an idea when you want to have the ceremony?" Rin in fact did.
"Yes! A winter wedding is what I want." To be married in the snow was her dream. "I hope you can make it granny!"
Kaede took Rin's hand in hers, "I wouldn't miss it for the world." How could she miss the wedding of the century?
Rin let go of the elder's hand, and wrapped her arms around her shoulders, "I'm going to miss you."
"I too, Rin. But you deserve this happiness. You deserve a life with someone you truly belong with," Kaede knew Rin was looking for that new chapter. "Sesshomaru is that one. He is allowing you to continue your dreams of being a seamstress and make choices yourself."
"It doesn't seem real though. I feel like I will wake up soon and it will be just a dream." She pinched herself to make sure she was actually awake. She realized she was awake, and her dreams were about to come true later in the year. "I'm glad he is allowing me to make my own choices."
Kaede smiled, "what's the first thing you'll do when you arrive?"
Rin had to think, "probably get myself settled in first. Then when I have everything in order, explore my new home, then work on my projects, and whatever else comes about." It was still a lot to take in for her. Even being a new lady soon, she wanted to learn about that, but still being herself. When she had finished her tea, "I should get back to finishing packing up." She was on a pile that was being donated.
Night fell, and the villagers had gathered around to say goodbye to the young woman they all grew to adore and befriend through the few short years she had been with them. The young woman that brought smiles and laughter when she walked into a room. The young woman that was now becoming a lady to a magnificent lord of all Japan. A demon lord to be exact. The same lord that would visit Rin through the years.
Everyone gathered just outside Kaede's hut, where Lord Sesshomaru and A-Uh patiently waited. Her belongings that she wanted to bring already had been sent ahead to his home. Sesshomaru allowed Rin to say goodbye to her friends and family that she grew up with since she was eight. They would leave when she was ready.
Sesshomaru would watch as Rin looked towards him with a gracious smile every few minutes. But this time she held a finger letting him know that she just needed one more minute. When he gave her an approval nod, she returned with the same nod, and went back to the conversation she was having with her family: Kaede, Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango, and Miroku. He knew she needed that extra minute saying goodbye to them. But to him, she could take the time that she needed. After all, he did state he would let her make her own choices.
The minute went fast, and Rin was ready to go. She stood beside her soon husband and they made their way forward down the road to his home that would soon be hers. A new journey before her. The journey she had seeked for all along.
The night sky was clear and so many stars showed above them. They sparkled above their heads and some even flew across the sky. Rin wasn't sure if wishing upon it would come true, but she wished for a joyous year, and a spectacular day when her wedding day arrives. She also wished for a safe trip to the castle.
Almost four hours into their trip, Sesshomaru made the decision for them to rest, and they would continue on in the morning. They made camp by the river so Rin could catch herself some fish. "Lord Sesshomaru, would you like some?"
Rin had a long stick that was sharp to the touch, "no. Just get what you'll need to satisfy you." It had been a long time since Rin had seen what his diet consisted of. "After you eat, get your rest." He wanted to be sure that she got a decent amount of sleep before they moved up the road more in the morning.
"I," she yawned so big that she could sleep now. "Sorry, I didn't realize how tired I am." She stood there thinking, "I'll catch the biggest fish I can, then I'll rest." With a nod he looked back towards the fire that was built.
It took a few tries for Rin to catch the fish that evaded her for a few minutes, but she managed after throwing the stick on the tenth try. She walked back to camp, stuck the fish over the firepit, took her seat beside her soon husband, and rested up beside him. She was beat. Her eyes were becoming so heavy that she knew she wasn't going to stay awake much longer.
Sesshomaru wrapped his mokomoko around her shoulders and brought her a bit closer to him. "Thank you." She shut her eyes for now.
"Do you wish to fly the rest of the way tomorrow?"
"I don't mind," her words were almost a slur. She knew he wanted to be back to get back to his own duties. "When do you want to leave in the morning?" She checked her fish to see that it still needed time to cook.
"At sunrise." He knew if they left at that time, they could be at his home before the afternoon was over. "Your room for the time being is ready for you to sleep in. I've also sent Jaken out for fabric you will need for your work."
"Thank you," she couldn't wait to see the material. She had a feeling that it would be the most beautiful fabric she will ever see. She wonders if any of the fabric will be best to use for her wedding kimono.
As her fish cooked still, Rin felt her face being slightly pulled to the side, and lips that she only kissed once, found hers again. The same lips that became her first kiss. The kiss she shared with the one that her heart had been seeking. When their lips parted, Rin felt Sesshomaru's lips lower to her jaw, nipping her skin to her slightly exposed shoulder. Each nip he left a slight gasp from her lips, even a few mhms.
Rin had a feeling something was to occur between the two of them and she knew she wasn't ready. "Sesshomaru?"
He had already pushed her back to the ground and hovered over her. He still nipped her skin, licking her too, moving his hand towards her obi. "What?" He breathed heavily and ready to rip the fabric off of her waist.
"I'm not ready yet." They both opened her eyes, lips hovered over each other, and breathing heavily still. "I'm sorry," she brushed a few strands of hair behind his pointed ear, "I just want to wait a bit more."
It took him a second to realize what he was doing and didn't even think to ask her if it was okay. He brought them back to the position, wrapping his mokomoko around her shoulders, and whispered, "when you're ready."
Rin snuggled into him, "thank you." She knew he didn't mean to.
He picked up the fish, "your dinner is done," and passed Rin's dinner to her.
"Thank you," and she ate her dinner in silence.
The following afternoon came, and they both arrived at the castle just as a sudden storm was to approach. They landed in the main courtyard where his staff always greeted him back, including the small green imp, Jaken. "Welcome back, my lord," he bowed to the demon that saved him and his colony many years ago. His head lifted and turned to Rin, "and a great welcome to you, Rin," he bowed to the future lady.
Sesshomaru helped her down and Rin gave the softest smile to the imp, "it's good to see you, Jaken, and thank you."
Jaken lifted his head to see Sesshomaru with his arms around Rin's waist, "Lord Sesshomaru, Rin's room is ready, and I found the most special fabrics that you requested me to find. They should arrive later this week."
Sesshomaru nodded, "go have the cooks prepare a meal and have them bring tea to Rin's room." She had requested for some as they flew to the castle.
"Yes, My Lord." He turned on his little feet and headed to give orders to the chefs.
Sesshomaru didn't need to introduce Rin as they were well aware who she was before their lord left to bring her here. He only turned to Rin, "I'll show you to your room," and led her towards the porch that had a covering over their heads.
Rin was eager to see her room. Sesshomaru explained that her room was two large rooms in one. The large room had sliding walls she could close so one could be her sleeping quarters and the other for her work. She even had her own personal washroom to bathe in privacy. Even Sesshomaru made sure that it was stocked with all the products Rin would need for when she bathed.
Sesshomaru led Rin around many buildings that were contained in her new home, to a door that was already open, and a young servant was exiting. They stopped outside and he gestured for her to enter first. When entering her room her pupils shot wide seeing the large room, "wow!"
Sesshomaru followed behind, "I made sure your belongings were stored in proper places and your yukatas and kimonos that you made were stored in boxes inside here." He walked over to a cupboard and pulled the door open to show her where her clothes were stored.
"Thank you," it made her feel happy to know that she didn't need to do all the work herself, even though she wouldn't have minded doing that herself. Rin looked around the room more to find a table to her left. The table she knew where she'll have her tea shortly. "My Lord, will you join me for tea?"
When he was about to answer, Jaken came running, "My Lord, your mother has made an unexpected visit!" He was out of breath as he collapsed on the floor of Rin's room. The green imp was able to lift his arm, "she waits for you in the dining hall."
It had been years since Rin spoke to the mother of her soon to be husband. Possibly since she was a young girl. It now crossed her mind if he had told her the news of the upcoming wedding. Sesshomaru turned to face Rin, "do you wish to see her?"
Rin stood there thinking since she was allowed to make the choice herself. "Yes, I would." She knew it would be best to see her now rather than later.
Sesshomaru nodded, "very well. Jaken, have the servants bring the tea to the dining hall."
Something new that Sesshomaru did was he instantly took Rin's hand in his. He led her in the direction they were to meet his mother. "She's aware of what's to become of us," he whispered, stopped, and lifted her hands to his lips, kissing her delicate skin on each hand.
"How did she take the news?" She was curious.
"Her opinion doesn't matter to me. All that matters is that you're happy with the choices you make." Rin had a feeling that his mother wasn't too pleased with the news.
Rin remembers how she reacted back when she was a kid and used her as a test for her lord. "Will she use me as a test again?"
Lord Sesshomaru knew what she spoke of. The day she was taken by the hellhound to the underworld. He still held her hands in his, "no. I will not allow her to test your life anymore."
Rin knew she had to trust him, "okay."
"Okay," and led her to the room where his mother waited patiently for them.
The lady of the sky's eyes was the same as Rin could remember. Slanted with a plan. A plan to cause possible harm. "Good evening, Rin. You've grown into quite a remarkable young lady."
Before she answered, she properly bowed to her, "thank you." Rin and Sesshomaru took their seats, holding hands under the table. She was afraid to let him go. "So, my son, and you are to wed soon, is that right?"
"Yes, hopefully within the next few months or next year."
"I see," she took a sip of her tea and wiped her perfect red lip. "I'm not surprised that my son would choose a human for his lady. And that human is you. I saw it that day when all were invited to celebrate Sesshomaru achieving his goals. I watched him follow every move you made here in this room, serving others. I could read his eyes that he was confused why you would serve him after developing a bond. He stayed here until he knew you left the property, excused himself, and didn't return for a few days. Tell me, Rin. What are your intentions for my son after you're married to him? Do you know that you can't bear full blooded children?"
"Mother!"
"Sush, Sesshomaru. I want to hear her answer," her eyes were on her son for a moment and then back to Rin. "Will you tell me?"
Rin took that moment to calm her mind. She knew she had to answer his mother with the right response. Even if she didn't accept what she was about to say, her life with Sesshomaru would still move forward. "I am very well aware that I can't give him full blooded demon children, but the children I do give birth to will be loved by both of us." She turned to him, smiled and turned back to his mother, "my attention after we're married will be like how our relationship is now. He will allow me to make my own choices."
"Your own choices? Sesshomaru, is this true?" She needed answers now.
"Yes, Rin has lived every day making her own choices and I won't let that change. Nothing will make me change my decision and I ask that you respect her." Like he said earlier, his mother's opinion doesn't matter.
"I guess there isn't much to say. It's your choice to do as you please, Sesshomaru." She took a sip of her tea again without another word.
Rin wanted to let the air out for a sigh of relief but held that off until she was finally back in her room. Sesshomaru was seeing his mother off and would be in her room shortly. "That took longer than I thought." She was just pleased it didn't go the way she thought it would. She knew his mother wasn't pleased with their soon marriage but would accept it. Then her mind went back to the conversation they had of future children. Being a mother was the one thing she had dreamed since that conversation with her best friend, Kōtonī, before she became pregnant. She still didn't care that her future children would be half-demon. She knows that they would be loved dearly by both of them and that no harm would come their way ever. Rin knew she would risk her life to protect the life she would bring into this world.
Rin walked over to the mirror that was in her room and turned to the side. She placed her hands to her stomach the way a mother would hold her stomach. "To become a mother is my biggest dream." Rin was so focused on the future of motherhood that she suddenly saw Sesshomaru standing in the doorway in the mirror. She knew he heard what she had said. "Sesshomaru!"
Sesshomaru walked across the room till he reached Rin and had her face him. "Is being a mother something you desire to be soon, Rin?" He reached his arm behind her back, held her waist, pulling her close.
Rin held the sleeve of his top, "Yes, Sesshomaru. I've dreamt of it for a long time." In a way she was finally ready to lie down with him. "I'm ready, Sesshomaru. I am ready for you to lie down with me." He did say to let him know when she was ready.
Sesshomaru's grip became tighter around her waist. It wasn't but just last night she said she wanted time, and he respected her for that, but he believes the conversation of his mother's is what changed her mind so quickly. "You're sure that you are ready, Rin?"
"Yes, I'm ready, Sesshomaru." She stood on her tippy toes, gripped both sleeves of his top, kissing him in what will be their first-time making love.
Sesshomaru fell into their kiss, used his green whip to close her doors, lifted her feet from the ground, and walked towards where Rin's large futon rested. He placed her feet at the edge of the material and kept his hold around her waist. Rin released her grip from his sleeves and went for the tie that held his chest guard. But there was no tie to be found. She broke their kiss to find he was already changed into a jinbei. "You changed?"
He realized Rin didn't realize what time it was. "I did." He cupped her face, returning their kiss for a moment in a deepening way. His hand found the obi of her night yukata. "Do you allow this Sesshomaru to continue, Rin?" He was ready to place her body on the bed below. He was just waiting for her answer.
"Yes," was the answer he needed. The fabric that once covered her body fell to the floor with the release of the obi that held the fabric around her waist.
A year had passed since that special night Rin and Sesshomaru spent with each other alone. Nine months of the lady of the west carrying a child to full term and birthed on a beautiful first snow morning. A daughter that she named Akatsuki. A little princess.
Sesshomaru had returned home immediately after receiving the news that Rin had birthed their child in the early morning hours. A child his wife dreamed of becoming a mother too. He didn't need to be escorted to where Rin was located and flew to her room. He knew she was awake, but tired from being up all night birthing their child who he could hear awake too, and in the midst of being nursed.
The doors to her room were open and he found Rin, gazing happily to their child within her arms. When her eyes looked up to see her husband standing in the doorway, she gave the nod of approval he was allowed to enter. "Welcome home, Sesshomaru. Please come and meet our daughter, Akatsuki."
A name he knew was best suited for a princess. He took that seat beside his wife, took her lips to his, and then gazed at their daughter who was still being nursed. He gently rubbed her little pink cheek, "she's going to have your hair." He could see the darkness upon her scalp.
"Yes, but she has your eyes. A perfect mixture of both of us within her." Rin's head rested against Sesshomaru's shoulder. "It's hard to believe we created the little princess."
Sesshomaru's gentle hand still rubbed his daughter's little cheek and nodded to her words. "Do you plan to make her kimonos and yukatas?"
"I already have and I plan to dress her soon." Rin was waiting for their daughter was done nursing.
"Do you plan to move around soon? You should be resting." Sesshomaru didn't like the idea of Rin being up this soon after just giving birth hours prior.
"Yes, but just to our sitting room. I asked that a meal be brought since I haven't had anything to eat yet."
Sesshomaru could deal with that. "Are you in any pain?" He helped Rin to her feet after Akatsuki was finally done nursing and led her to the sitting room taking each step at a time.
"Just a little, but it was all worth it because I have a child that will call me okāsan and she will call you chichioya when she is old enough." When she sat down, "thank you."
Sesshomaru sat beside Rin who handed their daughter to him. Hesitant at first, he took their daughter into his arms, and saw the golden orbs looking up at him. Never did he imagine he would be a father to such a small being. A child that will grow up one day and understand how protected she is. A child that will make small mistakes, learn that it's okay, and that he will still love her no matter what.
Rin rested her head against Sesshomaru's shoulder, watching her husband hold their daughter, and wondering what he was thinking. She couldn't tell if they had a way of communicating in silence, but she could tell that he truly loves their daughter and will do everything to protect her. She watched his index finger get wrapped in their little daughter's small hand as she fell asleep in her projector's arms. Their eyes never left their daughter, even when their meal was brought in. Their focus was their daughter and the family of three they have become.
I FINALLY FINISHED THIS STORY! It took forever, but it was worth it. Thank you all for being very patient with me and I hope that it made your day or evening. If you need other stories to read, please check out my page for my content. Some stories are in the works, and one is on hold for the time being.
Saivlis: Sesshomaru indeed proposed, and it was so sweet!
Jenny Crum: I love writing them together always. My mind has come up with more stories for the near future. But for now, I must finish with what I have posted for now.
