Chapter 41

The Smuggler Uprising

Grakkus's Palace/NS Volunteer HQ

The center of Hutt Town had become a military barracks overnight, the message of forgiveness of debts and bounties had brought hundreds of ships, smugglers, bounty hunters and mercenaries to the Palace Gates and within them. Ezra was walking around seeing people carrying crates of weapons, fuel kegs and torpedo racks. He ducked over a large crate being carried by two gamorreans, and avoided getting knocked over by a toydarian flapping his wings holding a blaster. He then ran into a set of hairy legs and looked up to see Chewbacca. The wookiee gave a happy roar seeing Ezra alive and well "Hey, walking carpet." Ezra said.

"What are you doing here?" he asked.

Han popped up around him "Oh you're here, well same as you we have a few outstanding debts with Jabba, this will wipe the board clean and maybe get us another job." Han said.

"What about you, wanting to get back at the Black Sun?" Han asked him.

Ezra titled his head "It's more of like a… common foes common friends thing." Ezra said up to him.

"Hmm aint that the truth, show you put on with that 'jedi'." Han made quotations with his fingers.

Ezra stared at him confused "What's that suppose to mean?"

Chewbacca answered with a shyriiwook scoff, "Hey if I can't see it I don't believe it, that includes that all powerful mumbo jumbo those wizards pulled off."

"You don't believe in the force, or the Jedi?" Ezra asked Han.

"Nope." Han replied, "Know Grakkus is obsessed with it, so much he believes that friend of yours is a jedi, even got you dragged into it kid." Han said.

Ezra held his hand up "How do you know we- he isn't?"

"Well he gave you all lightsabers for starters, and… oh forget about it, we got a fight coming don't we, come on Chewie the Falcon needs some work on it anyway." Han said walking off Chewbacca gave a friendly bark of goodbye to Ezra.

Elsewhere up on one of the higher balconies Turok was overlooking the palace's growing numbers the hangar had spilled out into the courtyard with more ships landing on nearby buildings the volunteer fleet amassed. Turok was smoking his pipe "How many?" Ahsoka asked behind him.

He leaned on the balcony and looked over at her "Numbers are looking like we'll have a hundred ships, even a corvette with some Z9 Headhunters and Y-wings from the Clone Wars, not to late to call Sato in?"

"No, I won't risk Phoenix Squadron in this fight." Ahsoka said walking up behind him, he stood ups stretching "Might as well, Sato would insist he be in command and then-huh?" Turok looked back to see Ahsoka smash him across the face and then slam his head into the metal balcony. She kicked his feet out from under him and held him by his neck almost over the railing.

"Was it something I said?" Turo kasked.

Ahsoka squeezed "You lied to me, for years Turok, years!" she snapped.

"Urk- new this was coming… yes, yes I lied to you but only to protect you and the lad." Turok coughed out from her iron grip.

Ahsoka reached for her lightsaber and turned it on holding it the white blade at his neck "Protect us, you used the Rebellions resources for your own ends, how many times did you share our information, how many times did it get leaked to the ISB to find other cells?" She asked.

"I would never give anything to the ISB." Turok gagged out as she held the blade close "Then why betray the Rebellion, why betray me?" She asked.

Turok growled at her "I didn't have a choice, keeping you in the dark is the only way we could keep Ahkilleon safe."

"Safe from what?" Ahsoka asked.

"You already met Asimov, and Caliban, Admiral Trench and I are the only ones who've been able to keep the General from letting them take the lad." Turok told her as she squeezed around his neck "-ach- I'm telling the truth- They want him for his power, he's a second generation force wielder, all your natural talent and Leo's blood they'd use him for this Jedi King prophecy."

Ahsoka let go of him, "Why a Jedi King, there's no such thing?"

"There will be if you don't listen." Turok coughed sitting up "Caliban and Asimov ugh Jinx, Petro and a lot more like them have staked a lot on this prophecy of theirs, some are fanatics like Asimov they don't just want to see the Empire defeated they want to lay waste to the core, if I had told you about the Militia you would have tried to hide Ahkilleon and then they'd have come for him. I convinced them to let me watch him, teach him, let him stay with his mother."

Ahsoka scoffed "Your new Jedi say they don't take children from parents?"

"They'd make an exception, you gave Asimov one when you chased after Agent Jek." Turok said, he took his claw away from his throat "I won't apologize, not for protecting Ahkilleon-" "Protecting you lied to him his entire life-" "And what have you done?" Turok barked at her.

He took a step toward her "You knew what was inside him, you knew he had his fathers battle meditation, a berserker and you never told him." Turok spat on the balcony floor "I am not your enemy, I will fight to my last breath to keep Ahkilleon safe, from the Empire, from even the Militia if you hate me for that I understand but I have no regrets."

Ahsoka gritted her teeth, "If we survive this, I never want to see you again or contact my son ever-again."

The trandoshan was stone-faced. "I will… respect your wishes, Lady Tano." Turok said solemnly.

LOTHAL

Militia Hideout

The Last Laugh descended on a night covered Lothal to some tall stalagmites sticking out of the ground, one was as big as a building with a cave carved out in its lower haul. Inside the Militia raiders were resting after another raid. Naqia came out with Dray leaning on his cane taking steps with Dray and Butch behind him. They entered into the hideout hidden under the shadow of the stalagmite. Commander Dray walked forward noticing the raiders were all looking like they'd been through a gauntlet, their armor was dirty, stained with blood not their own and there were at least five corpses covered in tarps. Sitting next to them sharpening a hatchet was Gaser, he set it down and started to polish his rotary cannon. "Gaser?" Jay asked

Captain Naqia grabbed his shoulder and shook her head to leave him alone. Gaser didn't pay any attention to them, still mourning the loss of Fang. Commander Dray passed by the others to the very back to the cave, where Keiza and another large Militia raider wearing red stripes on his armor blocked Dray's way, "Step aside." Dray said.

Keiza spat on the ground, "I don't take orders from you outlander."

"Let him pass." Reik said from behind, both Raiders stepped aside, walking out was Reik he had dried blood on his blonde hair and wasn't wearing his breastplate or shoulder armor.

Dray walked past them and into the private section of the cave, "You've been busy?" Dray said.

"Wasn't any time to have a war council, the Empire's started mass executions we found one earlier today, who knows how many more." Reik said walking back in his warclub and his Okami sword were caked in dried blood of stormtroopers. Commander Dray saw that Reiks armor was also dirty from battle.

Reik headed toward a raised rock with datapads on it "Our outpost raids have been successful, few casualties with Colin and the other Dragoons attacking from above, the Imps don't know what hit them. Before they know whats happening we're over the walls." Reik said.

"Lightning warfare and guerilla warfare are a powerful combination, but easy to defeat." Dray said.

Reik turned to him, "My thoughts exactly." He tossed Reik a datapad.

Catching it Reik saw the ledger written on it showed reports of distress calls going unanswered and imperial outpost numbers, "These are the ones we've hit, by now the Empire will be on full alert, we need another target, something bigger."

"Bigger, how big?" Dray asked.

"Governor Pryce." Reik said with a gruesome smile, "We take her head." Reik picked up the okami sword "Literally, we kidnap her the Imperial center and cut her head off then broadcast it all over the system!" Reik said excited about the plan.

Dray set the holopad down, "While I applaud your tenacity, but no."

"No?" Reik asked.

Dray nodded "No, killing stormtroopers is one thing, the Empire can replenish their ranks a thousand times over, killing an Imperial Governor will draw unwanted attention."

"Unwanted attention, you wanted us to fight back this is how?" Reik stated.

"Yes, but you are now part of the Militia, your actions, your successes and failures are now going noticed." Reik heard Dray tell him, Dray walked up to him limping. He turned leaning in "Things are in motion outside the system, the Militia cells embedded across the outer rim are being put on standby, and Lothal is too."

Reik gritted his teeth "Under whose orders?" Reik asked.

"Come, and I'll show you, he's been eager to meet you." Dray said leading Reik out of the cave and around it to give them some privacy, reaching into his brown duster. Dray dropped a holopad down on the dirt, the holodevice activated and a blurry hologram appeared in front of them. Dray stood up straighter and saluted hand over his heart into a fist "General."

Reik looked puzzled "General?"

"Chief Bloodwolf, allow me to introduce the Leader and General of the Militia." Dray said as the blurry hologram folded, their arms displeased at Reik not saluting him.

Reik looked at the holo unimpressed "Big man hiding behind a hologram?" Reik asked.

Commander Dray looked stunned at Reik speaking to him that way, the hologram then smiled "Hahaha, finally someone with balls."

"I was just letting the Chief know of the situation on Nar Shaddaa." Commander Dary said.

Reik was still puzzled "Yes, the center of Hutt Space is about to be attacked by the Empire, we're monitoring the situation, I don't need to tell you the Hutts control almost half of the Rim, that being said, if it falls into Imperial hands our time table will be moved up indefinitely." the General said.

"Time table?" Reik asked.

Dray sighed "Reik, my friend, the Militia has been planning this for a long time. We already had to move our forces with the rebels knowing about us, and the Empire already thinks we're another rebel group, we want them to keep thinking that. But we don't know if we can mutch longer."

Meeting his brown eyes, Reik saw for the first time Dray was unsure "The strength of the Militia is it's unity, we all stand together or we fall together."

"What do you mean, why are you talking in circles?" Reik asked.

"Tell him, plainly." The General told Dray, "We've learned the Empire is amassing a massive force to attack Nar Shaddaa, this will be the first major attack on a large scale population in the Outer Rim; what happens after will decide the Militia's next move."

Reik looked up at the General "I thought you wanted the Empire to attack, you wanted a war?"

"Yes, but we want it on our terms, your actions here on Lothal have proved the hubris of the Empire and this attack Nar Shaddaa could be a response, a test to see if the rebels respond or if we do. For that we have to stand down for now." Dray said back to him simply.

Reik thought that he looked at the hologram rather than at Dray, "Does that include our plans in Capital City?"

"No, in fact we should be focusing more of our efforts on it, it could be the key to taking the whole planet." Dray said.

Reik paused again, "I understand, but I have a condition." Reik told them.

"Such as?" The General asked.

"Lothal's guaranteed independence, the Militia has proven itself to be a friend to the Outer Rim, but I was your assurance as General. Lothal will not become some proxy state or protectorate, when the Empire is gone we are a free and independent world." Reik demanded.

"...Done." The General replied.

Reik placed his fist over his heart and siad "I am your service, General."

Hangar

Back on the Smuggler's Moon, the air was thick with tension to escape. Hera flung herself into her work, making sure the Ghost was double sealed and everything was working at a hundred percent capacity with Chopper at her side welding a panel back on next to her. "Chopper once your done, I want you to calibrate the guns, and then calibrate them again." Kanan watched her outside the ship before he took a deep breath.

"Ok, time to be a leader." Kanan said walking up to her, "You okay?"

"I'm fine Kanan, we knew a fight like this was coming sooner or later, just didn't expect it to be for the Hutts?" Hera said, lowering her splicer.

Kanan put his hands on his hips and waded back and forth, "Oh yeah, the Hutts and the Jedi have never been that close, until the Clone Wars that was."

"What you think of having them join the rebellion?" Hera asked.

The cowboy jedi snapped his head back "What no I- oh you're joking."

"Got to keep you on your toes Kanan." Hera said up to home her brow raised arms folded.

Rolling his pale blue eyes Kanan dropped his shoulders looking around at the rag tag fleet they'd made on such short notice, "Think we can really win, with this, there no Phoenix Squadron?"

"Nope, Turok may be onto something, the most wanted mercenaries, smugglers and bounty hunters united, that's quite a fleet." Hera said.

The Jedi pondered what she said "You agree with that traitor?"

"I agree that he's more than just a trandoshan thug, we underestimated him and the Militia, his soldiers are top notch, and honestly I'd love to see that HWK-290 up close." Hera said looking across the hangar at Nemo and Sigma who were working on their ship, Nemo saw them looking and waved his claws at them. "Maybe after I shoot it down." Hera frowned.

Kanan snickered, "Speaking of shooting things, when the battle begins I was thinking if things go south, we need a plan."

"A plan?" Hera asked "... oh."

Ezra had come back into the hangar and spotted Rex and Zeb at a holotable, they had a holographic image of Grakkus palace at the center of it, "We should make sure to cover this rear entrance here, put guards at the lower levels incase the Empire sends any tunnel rats?"

"Good thinking, these columns up here are ideal for cover, so are these towers for crows nests." Rex elaborated pointing at them.

Zeb nodded arms crossed, "Karabast the rest of this city is too big to cover, we need to tell the Hutts to lock down levels, form choke points or else it'll be a mess." Zeb said.

Ezra popped up between them, "What's everyone talking about?"

"Fall back positions incase the battle goes south." Rex said.

Ezra had a morbid look run across his face "Think that'll happen?"

"When the fighting starts so much can change Ezra." Rex explained to him, Ezra looked at Rex who gave him a wink, "What can I do to help?"

The old clone captain, smiled "You'll be on Hera's nose gun, but if we fall back I want you to be here with me, calling out targets." Rex said.

"But what if Kanan needs me?" Ezra asked.

Rex patted him on the shoulder "Let us worry about that." Rex said as Zeb looked over at Kanan who gave him a nod, knowing they were on the same page.

Elsewhere in the palace, Ahkilleon had found an empty section of the palace, he was sitting with legs crossed, eyes closed and breathing at a steady pace trying to meditate. He inhaled and exhaled when he sensed danger a blaster aimed at him from down the room from a doorway, he leapt up and turned on his orange lightsaber and deflected the shot at the shooter but saw it was none other than Sabine. She was running at him with both her blasters drawn shooting at him.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"Attacking you, so FIGHT!" Sabine shouted as she flung something at him, a small set of explosives that blew up in a series of flashbangs. Disoriented, the next thing ahkilleon saw was Sabines boot heading right for him. He side stepped dodging and deflected three more shots.

Ahkilleon parried her next blow from her bracer, skidding it off his lightsaber, "Not in the mood Sabine."

"Well get in the mood." She said, swiping at him with her pistols like clubs, "We're going into your war."

"I didn't ask for-" Sabine suddenly clocked him right in the jaw "OH BULLSHIT!" Sabine screamed at him, knocking him to the ground.

Ahkilleon grabbed his jaw and saw Sabine's blasters staring right at him, "I saw you in front of that crowd, you didn't do that flag stunt for us you enjoyed."

Looking down he hunched over "I did, I liked seeing that Imperial Adimral's face twist he…" Ahkilleon took a breath "The gladiator who I killed, the one who wore the black armor he was my friend…" He looked up at her with regretful eyes "I'm sorry you had to be Xizor's prisoner, it couldn't have been easy."

Sabine lowered her blasters and took her helmet off, "Yeah well, Ezra seemed to have it set, he just got roped into some smugglers."

"Sounds right. What did Xizor do to you Sabine?" Ahkilleon asked.

She stiffened, "... He humiliated me." She growled.

"Oh yeah… that." Ahkilleons cheeks flushed, only as natural someone his age would start to think of those things, "I can still shoot you?" Sabine asked him.

He held his hands up "No, no I'm sorry I… I didn't mean it like that, I just… I-" "Yeah?" She asked him.

Ahkilleon got up "I just… I know it's hard not having your armor, I know, I know you told me you're more than your armor, but-" "But a Mandalorians armor is as close to her as a jedi's lightsaber is to him." She gestured to it.

He looked down at his own blade, "What happened to the green one?" she asked.

"I gave it back to Grakkus, didn't feel right holding someone else's lightsaber." He said.

She nodded "I can understand that, you know this won't be like the missions, we'll be fighting an Imperial armada, I've seen the recordings of what those things can do to a planet."

"Which is why we need- why we will stop them." Ahkilleon said to her.

She locked eyes with him, "How?"

"My mom and Turok are working on a plan, even so, I'll use my battle meditation." he said looking forward, Ahkilleon looked over at her and she had wide eyes filled with worry, "But the last time you used it, you passed out you-" "I wasn't a killer before that, now I am." he said clenching his hands tight into fists "And Turok was… he was right, it's gotten easier." Sabine walked up to him and before he could ask what she was doing she wrapped her arms around him, "You're not a murderer Ahkilleon." She said hugging him from the side of their bodies perpendicularly, he reached up with one arm to try and pull away but her hug, even with the beskar armor on her chest and forearms was warm and even soft. He couldn't pull away.

He melted into a second, "Sabine I-"

Before he could get it out both their comlinks beeped, "You too huh?" She asked.

Later, the two teens walked into the communication tower it had been transformed into a command center, among them were other smugglers and mercenary captains piling in. A holotable was one showing the Governor and Admiral Greelanx's fleet. Ahsoka stood at the front of the table with Kanan and Rex on her left, Turok and Sigma on her right with the rest of the two crews. In the corner taking up nearly half the tower's space was Grakkus the Hutt and holographically projected from the table was Jabba. Everyone was talking in muttering voices between one another. Han leaned against the wall with Chewie, Sabine and Ahkilleon made their way up to the holotable through the crowd and looked at Ahsoka melted back into the corner "What the…"

The doors to the communication room came open with a loud bang and Grakkus's mercenaries forced their way through "FLEET COMMANDER ON DECK!"

"Fleet commander?" Hera asked looking at Ahsoka, who just gave her a doubtful smirk, and the heavy footsteps of someone thinking of their grand importance came in "ALRIGHT YOU SALTY STAR DOGS LISTEN UP!"

"Oh no." Kanan grumbled recognizing the voice leaping up to the table, wearing an old beat up red coat with metal pauldrons was none other than former Hutt prisoner Hondo Ohaka.

Hondo took a heroic stance "It has come to me, the Great Hondo Ohnaka, to lead this great crusade in defense of Nar Shaddaa and very fortunate for you, I have the greatest plan ever conceived on how to do it." Hondo said, clapping his hands together as the crowd muttered, "Worse case scenario, we all die but who knows, maybe you won't?" Hondo said moving his hands down and walking through the holographic imperial fleet.

"Why they hell should we follow a pirate like you?" One of the smugglers snapped.

Hondo shrugged "Oh I don't know… anyone else wants the job?" Hondo asked, the whole crowd went silent, "No, good, shut up and listen to Hondo!"

"This is your plan?" Hera asked Ahsoka in the back.

"Hondo was more than happy to agree, it may be his voice but it's my plan." Ahsoka said.

Hondo turned to the fleet "Well look at this, three shiny star destroyers and a bunch of uh other ships, they're amassed at the edge of Hutt Space, "Well they may have bigger ships, but we have more, starfighters" Hondo asked.

A few more or dozen pilots held their hands up, "Alright when the Empire gets here, you will go first, but dive under the belly and…" Hondo looked over to Ahsoka who nodded "Hit the bellies and hangars of the Destroyers, now where are my freighter captains?" He asked.

Han and some more held their hands up, "Good, good, Hondo likes, half of you go to the left and half of you go to the right in ah uh… flanking maneuver thats the word!' Hondo said.

"Freighter Squadron Captains?" Hondo asked.

Hera and Turok begrudgingly held their hands up "Go ahead and uh choose your pilots or whatever, now anything bigger than a freighter?"

No hand appeared then a blaster shot rung out, standing in the doorway still wearing his Separatist uniform was the nemodian Captain Hathax and his Lt. Kuttle, he was holding a smoking blaster pistol "Present and accounted for." Hathax said.

Hondo cocked his head "Who are you?"

"Captain Hathax, of the Ranger, munificent class frigate." he said holstering his pistol, "Ah-ha a flag ship, I'll be in that one." Hondo said "Any questions?" Hondo asked as Hathax took his spot next to Hera and Turok.

The trandoshan leaned in "What are you doing here-" "I'm not missing this fight." Hathax said with a nemodian smirk.

"I got one?" Han said hand in the air.

Everyone looked to him, "That Champion of ours going to fight?" He asked.

Everyone looked at Ahkilleon who felt very self conscious with all eyes on him, "Of course he will." Grakkus boomed from his corner, everyone went from Grakkus back to Ahkilleon who just nodded "Piece of cake."

"Alright then LET'S DO IT!" Hondo shouted, arms above his head.

There was no cheer, no huzzah or even nods, just a bunch of smugglers and mercs who just shrugged and started to head to the exit. Hondo's arms dropped and he sighed "Ugh smugglers."

"You could have gone with a better speech then five words Hondo?" Ahsoka said as the pirate got off the table.

Hondo sighed, "I am not one for words my dear, Hondo is a man of action." Hond said proudly in his own manner.

"And tricks, how the hell did you manage to get Grakkus to let you go?" Ezra asked him.

"Oh my dear Ezra, never underestimate Hondo Ohnakas charm." Hondo said.

Grakkus who stayed after the smugglers and mercs left came up behind him "And because Lady Tano wanted him in charge of her plan for some reason?"

"Mom?" Ahkilleon asked.

Ahsoka frowned "Not my first idea, but Hondo's reputation with the Empire made him the ideal candidate for 'fleet commander'."

"Ideal for what, getting us all killed?" Zeb asked.

Hondo just laughed, "Oh my dear dear Zek." "Zeb." the lasat corrected him "Whatever, I trust you by the time this fight is done we will all be sipping blue milk and cookies laughing about it." Hondo said "Captain Hathax, take me to my ship!" Hondo said over to Hathax, he turned to Hera "Be seeing you Captain Syndulla." Hathax said walking with Hondo back to his frigate.

Grakkus slithered up to the hologram of Jabba "Anything to add my lord?" Grakkus asked.

Jabba replied with a shake of his head and then turned to Ahsoka and said only a few words in Huttese "What he say?" Ezra asked.

"He said, our debts settled after this?" Sabine asked looking over at Ahsoka who frowned "It's not important, thank you Lord Jabba."

Jabba cut his transmission and they were alone, "You know for the leader of the Hutt Clans he doesn't really you know, lead?" Ezra said aloud.

"Hutts don't lead from the front, the stab you in the back and take whats yours." Kanan said arms against his chest.

Grakkus snickered "Harsh but not untrue, my Lord Jabba and the other heads of the Hutt Clans are safe on Nal Hutta in a bunker not even I kno where."

'But not you, how brave?" Hera said sarcastically.

Grakkus kept his wiry smirk, muscle bound arms behind his back, "My dear Captain, I am merely playing my part as a voice for the Hutts in these trying times, win this battle for us and I will not forget it."

"Or how this would put you second to Jabba?" Turok said while Nemo, Nurse and Sigma were behind them with R6.

The big Hutt just shrugged and strode toward the exit on his metal legs, "Time will tell, my boy, will you come with me I have a gift for you." Grakkus said to Ahkilleon, he looked over at his mother who followed him and stood behind her son letting Grakkus know it was a package deal.

"Very well." Grakkus said stepping aside so Ahsoka could go first with Ahkilleon following him.

"Let's go get the ship ready." Turok said to, "I've been priming it for the past three hours sir, it'll be the fastest one out there." Nemo said.

Hera scoffed "You wanna bet?" She asked confident in the Ghost.

"In fact I do, I'd wager…. A hundred credits?" he asked.

"Deal." Hera replied, Nemo skipped over to her claws outstretched to shake on it "I knew you'd warm up to me."

Hera limply shook Nemo's hand and the quarren just had a smug look on his tentacles, "Pilots." Sigma grumbled, "Enough, where's Doc?" Turok asked.

Sigma faced Turok, "Remains have been cremated, ready to return home if we survive this sir."

"Did she have any family?" Kanan asked.

The Militia who were still alive all glared at Kanan, despite the sympathetic question "A wife, who will probably kill me." Turok said lighting his pipe with a match struck off his leather duster up he sucked in the smoke, "But she new the life, everyone does, once this is over we go our separate ways, for good." Turok said.

"So the Militia will just leave us alone." Sabine asked skeptical, "So long as you don't go looking into our business anymore, Admiral Trench believes we… should not meddle in each other's affairs." Turok told her sticking his tongue out to douse his match.

Ezra heard him and stepped forward "So your just leaving Ahkilleon behind, I thought you were his godfather?" Ezra asked.

Turok looked at Ezra with his one good eye, he sucked in smoke "Best prepare for the battle, you'll need your wits." Turok said heading to the exit the others following him, Rex looked at Sigma as he left but the younger clone didn't say anything or even look at Rex.

When they were gone, Kanna saw the look on his friends face and went to console him "You okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine, shouldn't be surprised nothing like a clone's loyalty." Rex said, scratching his beard.

"Still, he's another clone we've only met… well come to think of it, we've met more than I have in years?" Kanan said.

Rex smirked "Makes me wonder, you know, about how he said a lot of clones are there on this Militia homeworld of theirs, Arcadia would have been nice to see it."

"Are we all good on the plan?" Kanan asked.

"All set, Ezra doesn't know a thing." Rex replied "I don't like leaving him in the dark though." Kanan shook his head and glanced at his apprentice out of the corner of eye, Hera was showing him how they planned to defend from the Imperial fleet.

Kanan sighed "But he's loyal, so is Sabine, this is for their own good."

Down in the hangar, Grakkus walked into with Ahsoka and Ahkilleon in tow, the hangar was a buzz with freighters and fighters taking off from it into the skies above Nar Shaddaa, at an open corner of the hangar two tarps covered two mysterious objects. "As you know, I am a collector of your jedi relics, I acquired these two lovely specimens for quite the bargain from a private collector on Coruscant, some would say he charged me a king's ransom for them." Grakkus clapped his hands and two droids came up pulling back the tarp to reveal twin "Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptors, also known more commonly as-" "Jedi Interceptors." Ahkilleon said walking up to them, the two had recently been painted into different shades but the same markings if two parallel stripes that bent outward and then back in with a four sided diamond on each side one was orange the other blue, it was clear which one belong to whom.

"Who owned these before us?" Ahsoka asked.

Grakku shrugged "I couldn't say, but if we are going into battle with Jedi, it fits don't you-"

Before he could finish it the alarm went off, followed by sirens across Hutt town and the rest of the moon, "They're here." Ahsoka said.

And sure enough running to the edge of the hangar they looked up to see Star Destroyers jumping out of hyperspace and in upper orbit. Smaller ships coming out with them, Ahsoka looked to her son then with a firm ship, "Get to your ship."

"Ma'm, yes ma'am." Ahkilleon said smiling, the two of them ran to their jedi starfighters and jumped in, just as the Ghost crew came into the hangar and saw them take off.

"Hey when do I get one of those?" Ezra asked.

Kanan grabbed his arm dragging him to the Ghost, "I'll get you one if we survive this." Kanan snapped heading to the Ghost.

Up above in orbit above Nar Shaddaa, the Imperial Destiny was at the center of the fleet being the flagship, along with two more Star Destroyers and their three Arquiten class support ships. Behind the Destiny at the flank was Prince Xizor's yacht the Vendetta. But the Prince himself stood alongside Admiral Greelanx aboard the Imperial Destiny.

"Admiral, we have ships coming up from the surface." One of the crewmen said, Greenlanx looked out to see a swarm of freighters, heavy starfighters and Hathax's munificent class frigate the Ranger at the head of it.

"So they managed to get some fleets together, smugglers I'd wager, Captain Fel prepared your fighters" down in the Imperial hangar the TIE fighter pilots were rushing to get to their cockpits to begin the assault "Patch me through to the fleet, open channel let the scum hear it." Greelanx said as Xizor fumbled his hands. As the Volunteer Fleet flew into position, Hera was behind the wheel of her Ghost. Chopper alerted her to the Imperial movements.

"Broadcast, put it through?" Hera said.

Admiral Greelanx stood in front of a holocamera recorder "Attention soldiers and pilots of the Empire, today we eradicate cancer on the Galaxy. The Hutt's are parasites who have grown fat and arrogant off the Empire's tolerance for their help in subduing the barbarians of the Outer Rim. No longer."

The pilots behind the freighters, the starfighters that Ahkilleon and Ahsoka were piloting were hearing it to, "The scum of Nar Shaddaa have rallied to try and stop this long overdue justice, to the scum and pirates who can hear me if you thought some chance of mercy was going to happen. I have nothing to offer, there will be prisoners, there will be no quarter for any of you, this is the will of the Emperor." The transmission ended quickly.

"Well." Hondo sighed as he sat back into the commander's chair aboard the Ranger "I didn't get dressed up for nothing, LET'S BLOW SOMETHING UP, ATTACK-ATTACK!" Hondo shouted into the commlink. Hathax turned to Lt. Kuttle, "Launch all fighters."

"Squadron Aurek flank left." Hera said as she broke off and then Turok "Squadron Besh to the right." Turok ordered his freighters to the left.

Ahsoka turned on her comlink "All fighters follow me, we dive, we make for the hangars don't let the TIE's get into formation."

The Imperial ships didn't stand idle as the Volunteer forces went on the offensive, "All destroyers forward raise shields, launch all fighters once these criminals see real soldiers and pilots in action they'll break." Admiral Greelanx said confidently.

Prince Xizor looked on nervously as the ship suddenly shook "What was that?" Xizor snapped.

"The frigate, hmm must have modified weaponry?" Greelanx said as the frigate was focusing it's fire on the lead Destroyer. Outside the ship, the freighters came in from the left and the right and they watched the smugglers freighters fly over and around the Imperial fleet. Down below, Ahsoka led the fighters beneath the fleet just at Captain Fel led the TIE's out of the hangar.

Ahkilleon tensed up "Here they come, hold formation don't let them scatter us." Ahsoka ordered as she opened fire, Ahkilleon followed her with the other fighters unleashing a barrage of different colored lasers at the TIE's.

Fel's TIE had a red streak on the left side wing marking him as squadron commander, "All TIE's break formation and engage."

Above the destroyers and frigates the freighters were dodging the cannon fire of those guns, "Chewie what have we gotten ourselves into this time?" Han asked as Chewie was in the top gun shooting back at them.

"What do you mean this reminds you of the Clone Wars?" Han snapped.

Back inside the Ghost the rebels were all in their own guns starting to shoot at the scattering TIE's. Ezra was in his front gun, Chopper in the rear seat, Zeb and Kanan on the top two with Sabine in the co pilot seat with Hera, Rex behind them. "You know, back in the Army A jedi I served under always said flying was for droids." Rex muttered as Hera did some fancy flying around a Star Destroyer and then to one of the smaller frigates taking out it's guns before the bridge followed "I'd like to see a droid do that." Hera said.

Out in the growing number of dogfighting starships Ahkilleon was staying close to his mothers interceptor, the two were in-sync "Bank left, five seconds." Ahsoka told him in her comlink attached to her lekku, Ahkilleon had one on as well and mimicked her movement the two fighters spinning onto an left axis "Watch for the turrets." Ahsoka reminded him.

"I'm here, I'm here." Ahkilleon panted out dodging green laser fire. His radar rang out the signal they were being followed.

Three TIE fighters were trailing them and gaining, one with a red mark on its wing, Fel, "I've got two Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptors, guess we got more than one Jedi here boys?" Fel said into his helmet and attacked.

"I've got three on my tail." Ahkilleo n said as he went left, right, then spiraled up with his mother but the three fighters didn't hold.

"Speed up, I'll take them." Ahsokas said hitting her ships brakes the orange starfighter flung back and Fel's three man team scattered before Ahsoka hit the thrusters and engaged all three at once, she took one out and then the second but Fel was too good at dodging her shots.

Ahsoka pressed her comlink to her ear, "Find the Ghost, link up with Hera."

"... Copy." Ahkilleon said as more fighters and freighters tangled together in the dogfight, he saw one ship explode and the other, red and green cannon fire exchanged between all of them.

Back aboard the Ranger, Captain Hathax turned to Hondo, "Orders Commander?"

"Oh yeah uh…" Hondo looked out at the Imperial fleet down one frigate but still three destroyers strong with four other frigates pressing forward to the Moon, "Those Destroyers look pretty secure… RAMMING SPEED!" Hondo shouted.

Hathax gapped at Hondo and then turned to Kuttle, "You heard the Commander."

Kuttle walked up to him "Sir are you sure-" "Those freighters won't break the Imperial Lines, full power to forward shields and thrusters."

The Ranger moved forward with increasing speed, as Hondo got on the intercom, "Attention all volunteer ships, you may want to get out of the way because Hondo is coming!" Hondo said loudly, the pilots out in space saw the frigate moving its heavy bulkhead bow right for the flag ship.

Aboard said flagship, Admiral Greelanx's eyes widened "They're using their flagship as a battering ram?" Prince Xizor gasped "Take evasive action-" "Belay that, hold fast and fire on that ship, it's a bluff."

"A bluff, that ships heading right for us Greelanx." Prince Xizor practically shouted at him.

Greelanx turned to the Black Sun Underlord, leader of an empire of his own Prince Xizor and with one back hand struck the falleen across the face "Get ahold of yourself man, no commander would sacrifice his flagship at the start of an engagement they'd have to be insane."

Back on the Ranger, Hondo was laughing in the commander's chair as the guns rang, "You're insane you weequay bastard." Hathax snapped at him.

"Tell Hondo something he doesn't know, full power to the shields and full speed ahead you dogs!" Hondo said jumping up into the chair and propping one leg onto the arm rest.

With no sign of the Munificent-class frigate shields were taking a beating but at full power they held, with the engines no longer taking too much energy, Greelanx watched the frigate coming right at his bridge "dammit- Beak formation and take evasive action!" The flagship dove to miss the frigate by inches losing both of one of top orb shaped transmitter sphere's, as it dove the other destroyers broke off one going the Destroyer to the flagships starboard side broke off and then the portside destroyer moved to fast for the frigate between them to avoid it taking out another Imperial frigate the two smashing into one another. The frigate erupted into flames and lodged itself into the third destroyer, making it lose control.

"That damn pirate." Turok said seeing the battle going into chaos, "Besh Squadron, all ships attack the damaged destroyer, bring it down, bring it down, focus fire on the frigate stuck in its side." Turok said Nemo let out a holler before the other freighters on Turoks squadron swarmed over the destroyer focusing fire on the other ship lodged in its side.

Greelanx had started to recover on his bridge, "Admiral Greelanx, the Exceliant is taking heavy damage, shields failing." one of the crewmen said.

Xizor stumbled back to his feet alongside Greelanx, "All guns, fire on the Exceliant."

"But Admiral she's our own ship-" "Do it, it'll take half their fleet with them!" Greelanx roared, his hair coming undone.

In her own vessel Hera saw Imperial Destiny's guns turn to port "Besh Squadron, come in, the Imperial Flagship is moving guns into-" she couldn't get it out fast enough Greelanx's cannons roared green cannon fire on the Exceliant, the Star Destroyers shields giving out from the barrage of both enemy and ally "Break off-break off!" Turok shouted, also not fast enough the third destroyer exploded from its right side sending debris in every direction. Freighters and TIE's were going flying everywhere colliding with one another in a barrage of explosions.

Hera watched Ezra heave forward the sudden rush of so many deaths hitting him, "Ezra!?" Hera snapped seeing him tense up, "I-I'm fine."

The dogfight had turned a free for all to avoid any flying wreckage, Ahsoka had to blast through what remained of the haul even dodging hundreds of flying chunks of metal her only thought was on her son, "Ahkilleon, come in, where are you?" She said when she saw the Ghost was flying alone.

"H-here." Ahkilleon was using all of his attention to avoid more shrapnel from colliding with his ship, the front nose of the Excellent nearly taking him out before it collide with the third Imperial frigate, to large to doge. The explosion knocked Ahkilleons fighter off course and he collide with another TIE and went into a spin. Pulling on the controls with all his strength Ahkilleon leveled out at seeing a bounty hunters ship coming at him, he banked hard left and the engine collide with his wing of the same side taking it out.

Ahkilleon snapped "I'm hit."

"Ahkilleon!" Ahsoka shouted, Ahkilleon had all his sensors blaring warnings and danger, fuel was running out fast "Get back to Nar Shaddaa now-" "I can't, have to- have to dock" Ahkilleon told her.

Hera, still out maneuvering ships and wreckage, replied "I'm coming for you, just hold on."

"Not enough time Ghost." Ahkilleon said when he saw the only ship close enough was the Imperial Destiny, "Oh mom… please don't get mad." He said as he flew the ship as best he could toward the hangar underneath the ship. Ahsoka watched him fly right into the Imperial Destiny; his jedi starfighter crashed right into the ceiling of the Imperial Destiny's hangar.

On the Ghost, Ezra spun his head back from the turret, "What is it, what happened?"

"Specter 7 come in, Specter 7 come in?" Hera asked frantically.

"I'm here." Ahkilleons voice came out in Ahsoka, Turoks, and Hera's ships, all of them breathing a sigh of relief, "But you're not going to like where I am."

The wreckage had started to filter out of the battlefield and the other fighters began to regroup, "Uh…" Ahkilleon clambered over some metal crates as the fires of his crash began to spread over the roof and stormtroopers coming out of the exits "Aboard the Imperial Flagship?"

"YOU'RE WHERE!" Ahsoka shouted into her comlink, "I didn't mean to I- oh kark." Ahkilleon said as the stormtroopers saw him. They opened fire at Ahkilleon and he turned his lightsaber on deflecting their shots, he ran for the nearest exit with the least amount of stormtroopers and deflecting red lasers with his orange lightsaber, leaping over the imperial marines he slipped into the hallway.

"Hold on, I'm coming to get you." Ahsoka said "No, you need to be out here, the Imperials are reorganizing, we need you to hear, the Ghost will dock with the flagship, starboard side Specter 7." Hera said seeing the TIE's regroup around Fel's fighters.

"Copy, heading there now." Ahkilleon said, running through the hallways with stormtroopers hot on his heels.

Ahsoka watched the Ghost break toward the Imperial Destiny, up on it's bridge Admiral Greelanx had just heard the news they had a visitor aboard "The jedi is on my ship, how the hell did that happen?" Greelanx snapped at the officer who told him.

"We've been boarded?" Prince Xizor said eyes wide, his cheek sporting a bright red bruise.

Greelanx looked back out at the fight, "Damn, hunt the jedi down, Captain Fel are you stil with us?"

"I am Admiral, I've lost two squadrons but we're still here, but that frigate is coming back around." Captain Fel said just as the Ranger made it's return into the battlefield, getting behind the Imperial Destiny and opening fire.

"Numbers?" Greelanx asked one of his crew "The Exceliant and three of our frigates are gone Admiral, it's just us and the Emperor's Will and our last two frigates."

Prince Xizor gave a smirk "Smugglers huh?" He asked, teasing Admiral Greelanx at his situation.

"Hold your tongue you snake, this fight isn't over yet, have the stormtroopers aboard sweep the ship, send our frigates after the enemy flagship, have the Emperor's will move alongside us, don't give them space between us." Admiral Greelanx said giving new orders.

Ahsoka flew out from between both destroyers toward Hera's ship, "Aubresh Squadron I'm taking command, attack the second destroyer, focus fire on its bridge." Ahsoka ordered.

"Any Besh Squadron still left to do the same." Turok said not risking Ahkilleon still aboard the vessel.

Meanwhile aboard the Imperial Destiny Ahkilleon ran panting down the hallway, stormtroopers following him, he deflected from his rear and looked forward following the hallway when his wrist comlink came on, he answered it "What?"

"Lad, you alright?" it was Turok, but not using the communication channel everyone else was.

"So far, trying to find a way off this ship." Ahkilleon retorted.

"No, you can't, not yet." Turok told him.

Ahkilleon had managed to loose stormtroopers looking around the corner as the ship shook from the battle outside he asked "Why not?"

"You want this battle over, you want to win?" Turok asked him.

Ahkilleon gasping and shrugging "Sure, that sounds nice…"

"You can end this fight, you can save everyone here and on Nar Shaddaa, but you have to do it now." Turok said.

"Little busy trying not to die, Turok?" Ahkilleon said seeing a squad of stormtroopers run by, ducking behind cover Turok told him "Take the head."

"What?" Ahkilleon asked.

"Admiral Greelanx, kill him and we win." Turok said plainly "Kill him, and you're a hero."

Ahkilleon heard him and took a few seconds to catch his breath "I… I can't Turok, I need to get out of here-" "Yes you can Ahkilleon, you have to, this is war, kill or be killed." It just so happened Ahkilleon looked up at a sign one read left to the starboard side the other right that read the bridge "Choose!"

Outside the Imperial Destiny, the Ghost had found an access port and docked with the ship, "Alright we're set, get in there and find Ahkilleon." Hera said back to the boarding party, Rex came up to turret ladders with Chopper plugging in "Well stay here and cover Hera, you get junior out of there." Rex said to Kanan, Sabine, Ezra and Zeb.

Kanan chuckled "This feeling like the old days Rex?"

"Kanan, you have no idea." Rex said sliding down the ladder as Chopper went up.

The door to the imperial ship slid open and Kanan turned to his team "Let's roll." They boarded the ship and moved down the hallway, Zeb and Sabine covering each corner.

"This this the craziest adventure ever, go try to find a secret world, get captured, separated then find ourselves in a war with the Empire and the Hutts, and to top it off we're on the one ship we don't want to be on." Zeb said aloud.

"Craziest adventure so far." Ezra said in front of him, "Please don't test fate like that kid." Kanan replied while they moved in deeper "Specter 7 where are you?" Kanan asked.

No answer while the sounds of battle echoed outside the ship "Spectre-" "Over here!" Ahkilleon came bounding around the corner, making his choice to get off the ship. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief "Ghost, this is Specter 1 we found hi- oh no." Kanan gasped.

Running behind Ahkilleon was the entire invasion force of stormtroopers aboard the Imperial Destiny, "Why do you always keep putting us into these situations!" Kanan shouted while drawing his lightsaber.

He, Ahilleon and Ezra turned to face the stormtroopers who opened fire on them "Guess I'm just lucky, run!" Ahkilleon said before they all fell back to the airlock.

"Ghost, we're coming in hot get ready to break off." Sabine told Hera in her coms, Hera was already starting to prep the Ghost when she saw the turbo lasers attached to the Star Destroyer next tot hem lock on, "Belay that Specters, the Imperials have seen us I have to break off." Hera said.

Ezra went pale hearing her, "What, how are we suppose to get off this thing?" Ezra asked.

"We do what we do best, we improvise." Kanan said grabbing him taking a hard left as Hera detached from the Destroyer.

Hera got back into the dogfight the Destroyers holding their own with the small gap between them giving them more room for their guns to swat down the smugglers and pirates around them even with the freighters and pursuit crafts after and more maneuverable than the TIE's. "Don't let up, we have them on the ropes." Captain Fel said seeing the fighters were starting to break off.

"Aurek Leader, we're loosing pilots fast." Turok said pulling up from almost colliding with a TIE.

"Some of the fighters are running, we can't keep this up much longer we need to take down the Destroyers." Hera said as Ahsoka looked at the second Star Destroyer the Emperor's Will, squeezing her controls tight she pressed an open com to the whole fleet "This is the Jedi Starfighter, you want that other Star Destroyer down you cover me I'm going for the bridge." She said pushing the jedi starfighter to full power right toward the Destroyer.

Turok saw it zip past TIE's and freighters alike, "You heard the lady you bastards, light that destroyer up!" Hondo shouted aboard the Ranger.

"Well who wants to live forever anyway." Han said next to Chewie, the wookiee let out a ferocious roar and the Falcons cannons erupted alongside the dwindling freighters.

Up in the Bridge, Admiral Greelanx saw the enemies redirect most of their firepower at the second star destroyer, walking up to the window his eyes narrowed seeing Ahsoka's bright orange jedi starfighter fly over the bow of the Emperors Will moving in and out around the laser guns below their barrels like a pod racer would avoid obstacles on a track. "Captain Fel, take out that Jedi Starfighter, it's heading for the Emperor's Will's Bridge." Greelanx ordered.

"Understood all fighters engage- blast it-" Fel's TIE got rocked with laser fire from the Ghost, Hera inside cursing him "Not going to be that easy ace." She hissed.

Ahsoka's ship had made it halfway across the Star Destroyer and was underneath it's shields zipping up to the rising tower, "Raise your shields dammit raise your damn-" Ahsoka pulled up and released her interceptors entire payload of rockets at the bridge overwhelming the shield with the barrage making the command tower explode sending the whole destroyer down. A chorus of cheers rang out over the comlink as Ahsoka flew back around alongside the Ghost.

Back aboard the only remaining Star Destroyer, Admiral Greelanx clenched his fists tight, they were losing, back with Xizor he noticed a security monitor showing the rebels running from the imperials and among them, Sabine, his prize.

Licking his lips, "I will return to the Vendetta, and… assume command of it." Xizor said as Greelanx began to bark orders ignoring Xizor all together. Xizor strode to the exit in his purple robes, "I refuse to leave here empty handed."

"Ghost to Specters, I've got good news and bad news." Hera said into Kanan's comlink the man leading his team down the labyrinth of hallways and corridors fighting their way through stormtroopers and imperial marines.

"Let's start with the good." Kanan said cutting down a stormtrooper, "Good news is we took out the other Star Destroyer."

Zeb overheard her "And the bad?" he asked, throwing one stormtrooper into the sea of others, "Now every ship is going to try and blow up the one you're on so you know, move it!"

"We're moving it, we're moving it, Sabine escapods, now?" Kanan said turning to her, Sabine looked around the Star Destroyer being a former cadet she knew the layout of ships like this,

"Follow me." Sabine said, leading them to the lower decks. They came down a flight of stairs and Zeb smashed the door controls behind him to stop the stormtroopers. Kanan took out security cameras while Ezra and Ahkilleon ran on ahead sealing other doors to keep their trail blocked, Sabine at the head of them looked around every now and again to remember where they were, "This way." She said ushering them to the left and through another junction to another deck.

Ezra smiling felt Ahkilleons eyes on him "Why are you smiling?"

"Because I think we're going to win this?" Ezra said.

Hearing Ezra's confidence made Ahkilleon smile, looking ahead he saw something roll out from a hallway in front of them, a thermal detonator "Look out!" Ahkilleon shouted he tried to use the force to push it away but wasn't fast enough the detonator blew and the hallways metal framing caved in under the explosion knocking everyone down, smoke and sparks filling the hallway.

Reeling with ears ringing Kanan looked around everything shaky when he spotted a robe of gold and purple walk over them, "So much for Jedi senses." Xizor said, walking over Kanan kicking him in the jaw.

Xizor then found Sabine "Hello my dear." he said ripping off her helmet and grabbing her by her hair, Sabine winced but didn't scream out "Did you think I'd forget about you?" Xizor asked.

Sabine spat right into Xizor's face and he slapped her for it, "I'll enjoy taking that fury from you, I was going to use you as a tool for your family's loyalty but now I think I'll keep you for my own… pleasure." He said hitting her with her own beskar helmet knocked her out.

"Sabine…" Ezra moaned sitting up, he felt someone's hand grab his shoulder, it was Ahkilleon "Come on, let's get him." he helped Ezra up and the two boys leaned on one another moving after Xizor.

Zeb managed to get up next, and helped Kanan to his feet "Can't let the kids show us up old man." Zeb said before they ran after Xizor.

Back in the Imperial Destiny's bridge the ship was taking a beating, even alone against a less than a hundred freighters and enemy starfighters the Imperial Star Destroyer was a deadly adversary and never more so in an experienced Admirals hands. Even as the alarms began to ring Greelanx steadfast, "All batteries fire in three round bursts, raising shields around the bridge the haul can take it. Captain Fel get your fighters around the bridge. I don't want anything getting thr-" suddenly everyone aboard felt the floor from underneath them launch them into the air hitting the ceilings.

Breaking the tip of the Star Destroyers bow right off the Ranger had dove underneath the flagship and used it's massive bulkhead to suckerpunch it, the frigate itself was burning with fires and Hondo had been thrown from his chair in the assault, "Will someone destroy that big ugly triangle or does Hondo need to do everything himself?" Hondo snapped, walking wobbly around the bridge.

Captain Hathax head swimming mumbled out "Never again… never again after this."

"Specters hurry up, that Destroyer won't last much longer." Hera said to her crew who were chasing Xizor, even though they'd been thrown "We're a little busy." Kanan snapped.

Up ahead, Xizor's purple and golden robes were torn from the fight but he dragged Zabine by her hair and then picked her up, "I am… Prince Xizor… I will have… what-I-am-owed." He grumbled making his way to a large doorway opening it up he walked into one of the Escape Pod bays, "Soon my dear, soon it'll just be us-OOF" "LET HER GO!" Ezra came running in like a train off the rails shouldering Xizor so hard he dropped Sabine on the floor and staggered back coughing with some of the wind out of him.

"Impudent upstart street rat." Xizor hissed, reaching into his robe he drew a blaster pistol shooting at Ezra, the young jedi deflected them before them "Is that the best you got?" Ezra asked, seeing Xizor had the marksmanship of a training remote, Ezra then rushed him.

Ahkilleon remembered Xizor's attack from when he and Sabine were sold to him, "Ezra don't it's a trap-" Xizor saw Kanan and Zeb coming down the hallway and aimed his pistol to shoott the door controls then he dropped the blaster pistol and extended his long sharp fingernails at Ezra like cat claws they grabbed onto Ezra's arms twisting them and bending them in ways that just ooked wrong, Ahkilleons lightsaber arm go rigid and then Xizor put his other hand on the boys neck and twisted like a corkscrew, Ezra let out a wheeze before Xizor turned his other fingers inward like a spear point and hit him in both legs making Ezra fall down gasping out.

"Pressure points, street rat, your lungs won't be working anytime soon." Xizor said, walking over him.

Ahkilleon got up and stood between Xizor and Sabine, "Step aside boy, I'll be taking that girl."

"She's not yours, just like this system and its people aren't." Ahkilleon said, turning his lightsaber on.

Rolling his eyes Xizor said "Oh spare me the heroic Jedi speech, your kind had its day and look where it got them, I watched as your Republic and Order crumbled into nothing as the Syndicates picked up the pieces the Empire was too busy to bother with and we will do it again." Xizor said moving toward him, the Destroyer shook violently and Xizor struck like a serpent.

In the upper decks the control systems of the bridge began to light up, Greelanx saw the systems go to read and looked back out his flagship in flames, "Admiral we have fires on multiple decks, our shields and life support are dropping fast what are you orders?" Admiral Greelanx just stared out at the battle in front of him, ships floating in the void, more of them his own men and his head bowed "Admiral, sir what do we do?"

Greelanx took a deep breath, and raised his head "Cap… Captain Fel."

"Still here Admiral." Fel said bobbing in and out of the dogfight taking out three freighters at once with a well placed shot, "Full retreat, order your remaining fighters to rally on the last imperial frigate and withdraw, the Imperial Destiny will cover you."

"What, no Admiral we can win this, the Empire will win." Captain Fel argued, "Do not disobey me Fel, fall back." Greelanx sighed.

"Sir yes sir." Fel said pressing the buttons on his dashboard to signal the retreat and he broke off from the dogfight to the last frigate that was pulling away getting chased by the Volunteer force which was down to half strength. "Push all control power to the bridge, and all hands abandon ship, this battle is lost." Admiral Greelanx declared into his ships intercom.

Down below in the escape pod bay, Xizor was striking at Ahkilleon who dodged left and right, unfamiliar with how the Falleen fought he didn't dare come at him with his lightsaber knowing Xizor would intercept it, "Come on Champion attack me if you can." Xizor said while Kanan had pierced the door with his lightsaber and was trying to cut through it.

Ahkilleon barely missed a strike that would have taken his neck, then Xizor managed to get one through on his saber arm, it went limp and he dropped his lightsaber, Xizor caught it and turned the blade on pointing it at Ahkilleon, "Pathetic, and here I thought you were some great warrior, what is it, why are you holding back I saw you in the arena you were like a demon against that black haired wookiee savage, you want to die?" Xizor taunted.

Pressing himself against the wall Ahkilleon spat back "I'd rather die a Jedi, then live as a Champion."

"So much for the Jedi never dying-EEEEEAAAHHHH!" Xizor dropped the lightsaber and grabbed below his belt between his legs falling to his knees he screamed in agony, Ahkilleon looked back to see Sabine had come too holding her blaster pistol still smoking, she'd shot Xizor right between the legs. Xizor heaved over on the floor screaming and cursing "You karking bitch you shot me in the-" The circle Kanan had cut in the door fell forward with a clang and he saw the three kids beaten but not dead.

Zeb came up to Sabine helping her up, he looked over at Xizor and Sabine, still holding her blaster, Zeb had picked up her helmet on his way after them, "Got us to the escape pods." Sabine said wobbly, Zeb chuckled "Yeah you did."

Kanan picked Ezra up and Ahkilleon picked up his lightsaber from the floor "This isn't over you rebel scum!" Xizor shouted on his knees, "I won't rest until I've hunted you all down and taken everything you loved." the rebels got into the escape pod as Xizor and Zeb just added "Get in line you lizard." the escape pod shut and jettisoned out of the destroyer. Xizor crawled to the one next to it and with a bloody hand he opened it up, slipping inside before the Imperial Destiny's crew came in to get into their own.

Outside the ship, the remaining TIE fighters were getting aboard the frigate, Fel was aboard first, running to the hangar edge as they were chased by more freighters they watched the Imperial Destiny cover their escape putting the mass of it's ships size between them and the Volunteer Force, drawing them like moths to a flame. "Goodbye Admiral." Fel said. And aboard the Imperial Destiny, Admiral Greelanx stood at his bridge, the inside blowing up all around him, going down with the ship.

"All fighters break off, she's gonna blow!" Hera shouted into her comlink, all the remaining ships did her command and the Imperial Destiny's bridge blew out its windows before its inner haul breached with flames and metal going everywhere.

It was over, they'd won.

"YAHOOOOOO!" Han shouted over the comlink followed by more cheers and roars of victory from the pilots, "Alright, let's get back to Nar Shaddaa drinks are on the Hutts." Han shouted.

"Not us Falcon." Hera said, flying over to an escape pod lingering at the edge of the battlefield, "We're going home." Hera said as she had the Ghost dock with the escape pod, her crew returning to it's rightful place.

Ahsoka flew alongside the Ghost, "Your loss Captain, you ever get tired of this rebel business let's smuggle something some time." Han said, flying back to Nar Shaddaa cutting his comlink.

The only other ship that didn't was Turok's HWK-class the bird was keeping it's distance from Ahsoka's interceptor and the Ghost, Turok watched the interceptor dock with the Ghost but before Ahsoka could get inside he pinged her on the comlink. "That was some flying you did there Ahsoka, reminds me of the good old days."

"They were old, but they weren't always good… remember what I said, you stay away from Ahkilleon." Ahsoka said, she looked over at the Militia ship that was still there, Hera was on the comlink to.

Turok was silent for a few seconds. "... I want you to know something Ahsoka, when this rebellion gets you killed and he's all alone, I will come for him."

"He won't be alone." Hera said walking out of the cockpit seeing Ezra, Sabine, Kanan, Ahkilloen, Zeb, Rex and Proxy all reunite in the lower hold "For your sake, I hope so Hera, Militia Invictus." Turok said taking off his comlink he turned to Nemo and Sigma, "Let's go home boys the Militia will have to invade another day."

Nemo sighed "Well, at least I know I shot down more ships."

"But you didn't get your money?" Sigma said as Nemo moaned out in loss, the two ships breaking off one heading back to the rebel fleet the other into the unknown regions of hyperspace. The battle was won, but the war was just beginning.
