I got a call from Sam. Sam was going to UCLA to meet up with professor Carter. They were going to ask the professor where to find a Key stone in Los Angeles, or anywhere in California.

"Yeah, I got it, cool. I'll be right there." I said as I got up from his gaming chair. I put on my Air Jordan's and grabbed my Poké balls, Pikachu jumped off my desk and it ran out. Ironhide and Will were downstairs, watching TV. I grabbed my backpack and ran out the door, Sam and Bumblebee were outside on the curb. I got into his alt mode, Sam's Riolu was sitting in the passenger seat.

"Hey, Riolu!" I said, petting its head.

"Riolu!" it said, smiling and scooting over, it sat on the center console. We made our way to UCLA in Los Angeles California. I smiled, Then, I saw something hanging off the sunshade.

"Pika?" it pointed out the two slips of paper hanging off the sunshade. I saw it and grabbed it. They were tickets to the event in London. Before I forget;

"Hey, Sam."

Sam turned his head. Riolu was in my arms.

"What's up?"

"Did your dad order a ticket for me yet?"

"Oh, yeah, he did. But it's at my house, why won't we go when we're done with Professor Carter?"

I nod, we were on our way to UCLA to meet up with him.

"Here we are, Carter Labs." Sam said, getting out of Bumblebee. Pikachu and Riolu got out of the car too. I gasped and looked at the lab.

Carter Laboratory was the biggest laboratory in Los Angeles California. The lab was made of red brick that was painted white. There were large windows that stretched to the roof. We walked up the stairs and they opened the door.

"Professor Carter!" Sam called out.

"Do you know him?" I asked

"I got my Pikachu from Professor Carter." he said, I nodded and we walked in farther.

"Hey, did I tell you where I got my Charizard?"

"No, how?"

"It… it's hard to talk about… let's say that my Charmander was abandoned and it was on the side of the road."

Sam nods sadly, he felt bad for Charizard's situation. Being abandoned by its trainer in the dark of Los Angeles where the temperature drops to a cool seventy-two degrees. A Charizard could handle it. But, it could've been worse, it would've been raining and its tail fame went out and it could die.

Sam shook his head to get the memory out. Then, a man with brown hair, green eyes and a lab coat walked out. He wore black pants and black Nike low top sneakers.

"Ah, Sam!" He said in a very heavy Puerto Rican accent.

Could this man be Spanish?

"Who is this, Samuel?"

"This is Lance Lennox. he wants to find a Key Stone for his Charizard." Sam said.

"Alright, come with me." Professor Carter said, we walked to a room. The room had computers and a large monitor. We all walked in after Professor Carter.

We saw Professor Carter pull out a silver case. I watched as he opened the clips and lifted the lid. Inside was a Mega stone.

Wow…. Beautiful.

"This is a Mega Stone. Which of your Pokémon do you want to mega evolve?"

"My Charizard, none of my other Pokémon can mega evolve."

Professor Carter nods. He went to a computer and turned it on. Professor Carter looked up Charizardite in the area. He did a Google Search and pictures of Charizardite were found in the ocean in chests, both X and Y stones.

We both saw the data on his computer.

"Sam, I will send you the link to the article, as well as the coordinates to the location."

"Alright."

We both had scuba gear we both rented in San Diego, the Mega Stone was down there. Riolu was in Sam's arms, I was holding Pikachu. We both rented out water type Pokémon. We were holding the Poké balls that the man gave us to use.

"Alright, Sharpedo! help us out!" Sam threw his Poké ball first into the water. I held mine and threw it too.

"Okay, Mantine, come on out!"

We both went into the salty water with the Pokémon given to them by the man who worked in the store to rent. These Pokémon are rented out to divers or just people who want to dive out to sea who don't have a water type Pokémon.

Both Mantine and Sharpedo went out to sea. Sam grabbed his iPhone which was around his neck and he looked at Maps. He typed in the coordinates that Professor Carter texted him and they went to the bottom of the sea.

We saw all types of water type Pokémon. Majackarp, Azumaill, Barboch, Carvanha. Etc.

We dove down farther, Sam still looked at his phone, I looked at it too, we were close to the Mega Stone.

I pointed to it, we touched down to the cave. We both dismounted off our Pokémon. We were now swimming in the cave. Once we swam in farther, we saw a chest that was covered in sand.

Sam wiped off the sand, opened the chest and we both saw the Charizardite, it was a light blue color with two black waves, and a blue wave that was sandwiched in between them. I grabbed it and held it in the palm of my hand. It was a lot bigger than the Key Stone was. It was twice the size.

I picked it up and held it. Sam nodded, they both surfaced and returned the Pokémon back to the man that runs the shop.

We both went to his house, Ron and his Noivern were home, Judy was out with her friends and their Pokémon on a Pokémon playdate. She has a Chimchar. We made it to his house. His father was sitting on the couch. Noivern was out in the back, perched on a tree branch that they had planted for Ron and Judy's Noivern and Chimchar a while back. And on the plus side, they had plenty of barriers to eat, the tree they had naturally grew barriers on it.

We both walked inside the house. I saw Ron and Noivern. Ron was brushing his Pokémon, Noivern was laying on the floor, Ron was on the floor brushing it. Then he saw us.

"Hey, guys!" Ron said.

"Hey, dad."

"Hey, Ron. Do you have the ticket?" Ron knew what he was talking about, he was talking about his ticket for the league in London stadium.

Ron grabbed an envelope and handed it to him. I opened it up and saw the ticket. The ticket had some red on top and the whole ticket faded to blue, the ticket also had the logo for the England League. One side of the logo was red and the other side was blue. and it was on the top left-hand corner of the ticket. And one big and fated one was in the middle of the ticket.

It had the bar code so the officials could scan it. Sam smiled as he saw me holding the ticket in his hand. "I'm actually going…. I'm actually going to my first tournament out of the country, out of the state even."

I never traveled out of the state for a tournament. I've been in only one, and that was the San Francisco Pokémon league. Sam smiled and we both left the house to get my Mega Stone customized.

We both drove to the mall in LA. We were finally getting my Key Stone custom fitted to me, as well as Charizard's Mega Stone. It was going to wear its Mega Stone as a large necklace like Alain's Charizard does.

I was walking to the jeweler with Sam. They went to the closest jewelry store at the mall, KAY Jewelers. We both went inside the store. They saw jewelry for men, women, kids and Pokémon. We walked to an employee.

"Hello, how can I help you, guys?"

"Hi, do you make custom jewelry?" I need my Key and Mega stones fitted into something."

The Jeweler smiled brightly. "Alright! We can do that for you. Let me see the pieces, then I can get them fitted for you."

"Thank you so much!"

I took off my backpack and set it down onto the white polished floors of the store. I unzipped it and took out two stones. Sam looked at me as I handed them to the KAY Jewelers employee.

The man looked at them carefully. Sam noticed that he was wearing gloves, so that way He wouldn't get any fingerprints on either of the mega evolutionary stones. I went on my phone, I saw a DM from Ash Ketchum. I saw the blue Verified badge next to his name. I opened the notification and read the message.

Hey, Lance. What's up? My friends are going to a LAKERS game this weekend, are you interested in doing it with us? Me, Serena, Dawn, Iris and Lana are going. do you want to come along? I can pay for your ticket.

A celebrity… messaging me? not to mention the Hawaii, London AND San Francisco champion to top it all off.

My hands shook as I read the message on my phone. My brain was processing, why was the champion of two states and one country messaging me?!

I typed in the response.

'Okay, when is it?' Then he hit the white send button. Sam turned around, looking at me.

"Hey, you okay?"

I looked at Sam and nodded; "Yeah, I'm messaging Ash, he's asking me about something."

"What is he asking?"

"He's asking if I want to go with him to a LAKERS game with him. I have to ask the date and time first."

"Isn't the Staples center transformed into the Pokémon League? Wait-no" Sam realized. "That was the Chase Center."

I nodded as we walked up to the counter.

"It will take a few days. In the meantime, I need your number, so I can reach you." the man told me, getting out a business card and pen. turning over the card to the blank side, he clicked open the pen and put it on the card.

"Alright, my number is (818) 295-2957."

The jeweler wrote down the number and put the pen back in its place. I placed the stones on the counter and left.

We then went to the food court. Pikachu jumped on my shoulder. I smiled and pet it.

"Chaaaaa!" it said.

Sam smiled.

"Pikachu really loves you."

"He does! me and Pikachu are incapable! Like Ash's Pikachu." I smiled as we walked to the food court.

I saw the Sinnoh Champion, Cynthia, in line at Panchum Express. I walked up to her. The woman wore a white tank top and a short black skirt, her hair was tied back in a ponytail, and her Gatrchomp was standing next to her, waiting with its trainer. I saw Cynthia wearing AirPods in her ears. I saw the lock screen of her phone, Blinding Lights by The Weekend played.

Wow… I never knew that the Sinnoh champion was a fan of The Weekend…

I stood behind her as she ordered, I stood there for ten minutes because she was undeceive on what to choose.

"Um…" I tapped her on the shoulder, the Sinnoh champion turned her head. One of her AirPods was in her hand.

"I have an idea. Why won't you order rice, blazeiken and chow mein, that's what I get." I said. Gatrchomp stood by her, looking at its trainer.

Cynthia and I both got their food. I got a blazeiken bowl at Chipotle. Sam came back with his food. Cynthia decided to sit with us. Sam looked at her.

"Hi."

"C-Cynthia?" he stuttered.

"The Sinnoh champion, Cynthia?"

She smiled. "Yeah, that's me, how are you?"

"I'm okay. Lance, how?!"

"We met at Panchum Express."

"No way! not every day that a Pokémon regional champion is here often."

Cynthia blushed and got her food out of the bag, opened it and started eating.

"So, what are you doing here in LA?"

"I'm here to research Pokémon of different areas. Such as Los Angeles. My last stop was Ohio."

"Awesome! I hope your research goes well, Cynthia." Sam praised her.

"Thank you, Sam. Hey, I saw you on TV in 2007. Your Pokémon were incredible how they took down Megaton."

"Thank you, Ms. Monroe." He smiles at the Sinnoh Champion.

Cynthia smiled at them as she continued eating.

"Gatrchomp!"

"You want some too?" Cynthia asked her Pokémon. She twirled some noodles onto her fork and fed some to her friend.

"Hey, Cynthia. I heard on TikTok how you did a story time video of how you talked about meeting Gatrchomp."

"That's right, Lance. Gatrchomp was actually my first starter. I didn't pick Chimchar, Turtwig or Piplup."

"Didn't Gatrchomp come from a Pokémon egg?" Sam said.

"Yes. And when it hatched, it was the greatest day of my life."

Sam and I both smiled. We remember getting our first Pokémon from Professor Carter, Sam was ten years old when he got his Pikachu and I was twelve when I got mine starter. I didn't feel comfortable traveling all over California. But when I did it, I loved it!

Cynthia went on her phone; Machine Gun Kelly was one of her backgrounds on her iPhone.

"You like MGK?" Sam asked.

"Yeah, He's a pretty cool guy, He has a Sceptile."

"That's awesome! But I thought he'd go for an electric type Pokémon."

"Nope. And I got to meet him. That's when I found out that he has a Pokémon.

"I actually got to meet Eminem. He was very nice. And his Charizard was awesome!" Sam said.

"Really?!" I asked.

"Yeah."

"Well, Diantha, the Kalos champion, was on Jimmy Kimmel's show a month ago. and his Chimchar couldn't stop climbing on him! it was so adorable!"

I then got a text back from Ash. I unlocked my phone. Ash sent me the information on the game date and time.

"Oh, I got a text back!"

"What's it say?" Sam said, waiting for him to answer.

"The game is at six thirty and the date will be on Friday night."

"That's only two days away. But I'm so excited!"

"Good for you, Lance! say hi to Ash for me, alright?"

"Thanks, Cynthia. I will. And I'm getting my Key Stone and Mega Sone fitted for my Charizard so it can mega evolve."

"That's amazing, Lance! good luck with it!"

"Thank you, Cynthia. you're a pretty cool person."

Cynthia took her phone and she took a picture of them all together.

"Oh yeah, Cynthia. My friend got me a Riolu." Sam told her, He got his Poké ball out and aimed it away from him.

"Riolu, come out!" Sam said, the Poké ball opened, Riolu was out of its Poké ball.

"You have a Riolu. that's awesome, Sam!"

Sam beamed. He was actually getting praised by the Sinnoh Champion! But, he would be on the moon if he was praised by the world champion and reigning monarch of London, Ash Ketchum.

We all parted ways. We were going back to Sam's house so we can hang out with each other there. When they were walking out of the mall, A Pokémon followed them.

"Sam, look! it's a Grookey!"

"Aww, hey little guy, who do you belong to?"

"Grookey!" A man wearing a gray short sleeved jacket, jeans and Jordan's ran up to them. The man had black hair, red hair clips, a black Spidops silhouette was in the middle of his jacket.

"I'm so sorry. That's my Pokémon."

"It's fine." Sam smiled.

"I'm Sam, this is Lance."

"I'm Goh, nice to meet you." the man smiled and shook their hands.

"Awesome! Here's your Pokémon, have a nice night!"

"Thank you!" he said as he walked off.

Sam, and our Pikachu went into Bumblebee and drove back to Sam's house.
