Unground Discovery of the Evil Base
Ruby is sleeping with her first shift has ended a while ago with Yang taking her place for the next lookout, but then Zwei wakes up and whimpering a bit.
"Huh? Zwei, it's late. Go back to bed." Ruby said as she doesn't want to be awaken from her cookie dream.
But Zwei didn't listen to the black-red hair girl and just ran off outside that causes Ruby to just wake up and worry.
"Zwei! Zwei?!" Ruby called out, but the dog didn't listen.
Ruby looks over to Wolverine seeing him sleeping on his own sleeping bag right next Yang's sleeping bag and he appears to be a heavy sleeper, so she's gonna have to get her dog back by herself.
"Zwei! Zwei, where are you? Zwei!" Ruby called out softly as she comes out of the bullding and look around until she spotted the dog peeing at a broken stop sign.
"Zwei, this is a wasteland! You literally could have done that anywhere!" Ruby pointed out with a chuckle as Zwei walks up to her with a happy bark.
"What was that?" A voice asked.
Ruby jump in shock and quickly hid herself and Zwei behind some ruins just in time when two White Fang soldiers came close to the area, the girl careful poke her head out a little to see them.
"What was what?" White Fang Guard 2 asked his fellow guard, and slightly annoyed.
"I thought I heard a Beowolf or something." White Fang Guard 1 said as he looks around a bit.
"Hmph. Let's just finish our patrol and get back to base. This place gives me the creeps." White Fang Guard 2 said.
The two White Fang Guards walk around the ruin streets of the ruin city with Ruby and Zwei following them in the background and making sure they don't get spotted; Ruby believes those two being here definitely means the bad guys' hideout is here in this city just as they suspected.
Soon, they stop in front of a broken-down house where the White Fang guards are entering, and they heard the sound of a large metal door opening. Ruby pushes Zwei out a little to have the dog watch those two guards going in.
"Did they go in yet? One bark means yes." Ruby ordered softly.
The sounds of the metal doors closing and Zwei let out one bark meaning they went in.
"Oh! This is it! This is it!" Ruby smiled proudly that she just found the evil lair of Roman and the White Fang.
Ruby quickly took out her Scroll to call her team and Professor Oobleck to let them know about this finding, but her Scroll couldn't pick up on any single with the "Low Single" on the screen.
"Aw man! Come on, we gotta get the others!" Ruby cursed and knew she would have to tell the others herself.
Ruby and Zwei quickly ran onto the street again to make their way back to the others, but suddenly the concrete of the street started to crumble under her and Zwei.
"That doesn't look good." Ruby said and immediately the ground gave way making a big hole causing them to almost fall in, she grabs onto the edge and saves Zwei from falling in.
Ruby threw Zwei over herself and got him to a safe distance from the hole, but unfortunately, she could not save herself as the ledge she was hanging on gave out and she fell down a long fall.
Ruby screams along the way and knew this landing is gonna hurt even with her Aura is going to protect her from the impact.
"Hey, did you ever wounder why we're here exactly, in the White Fang?" White Fang Guard 1 asked.
But before White Fang Guard 2 could respond to that question, Ruby crashed on top of what appears to be a building inside a large underground carven as her back felt a little pain.
"(What is this place?)" Ruby thought asked herself as she looks around.
Then she heard metal doors opening from behind her and she turns around getting into her battle stance as two White Fang soldiers came out with their guns out.
"Freeze!" One White Fang demanded while the other two White Fang soldiers realize this and quickly pointed their weapons at Ruby too.
"Where did she come from?" White Fang Guard 3 asked as the other one next to him shrugs.
"You're a long way from home, little girl." White Fang Guard 1 said as Ruby backs away then stopping at the edge.
Ruby looks around to see that she is being surrounded by the enemies and goes to reach for her Crescent Rose but couldn't feel anything from the waist and gasp to realize that her weapon is gone. It must have fallen from her hands when she fell into that hole and back up on the surface.
Then one White Fang Guard came up grabbing Ruby by the arm.
"Hey! Hands off!" Ruby threw her arm off and threw a arm on the chest, but that did nothing as her combat strength is very lacking and soon regret not taking more hand-to-hand training with her big sister.
The White Fang Guard threw his own punch that knocked her down onto the ground.
"The boss is gonna want to see this one..." White Fang Guard 1 said.
Ruby tries to get herself back up, but it was too late as the guard kicked Ruby in the head so head that she blacked out and being taken away.
(With the Rest of the Hunter Group)
"Hey Weiss, it's your... Ruby? Hey, where's Ruby?" Yang asked noticing that Ruby's sleeping bag is empty.
"What?" Oobleck woke up immediately and so did Wolverine.
Zwei comes in barking many times and a little loud to get everyone's attention.
"Sounds like the dog is worried more than burring bones." Wolverine commented as he sits up.
"What's going on?" Blake asked.
"I think it has something to do with Ruby not being here." Wolverine pointed out as he starts sniffing Ruby's sleeping bag.
"Grab your weapons! Your leader may be in trouble." Oobleck believed.
"And it's our job to get her out of the trouble, and possibly Yang yelling at her for wandering off on her own." Wolverine cracked his knuckles.
"Oh, you better believe there's gonna be yelling while I feel so glad that she's alive." Yang stated.
"Make up your mind, do you love her or mad at her?" Weiss asked as she picks up her rapier.
"Both because I want to squeeze the life out of her!" Yang answered and pounded her fists together.
(With Ruby)
Ruby wakes up from her unconscious state and saw that she is within the weird underground city and now she is within some kind of weaponry camp with White Fang soldiers moving stuff around, and some even piloting some Atlas mech like the one her team fought before.
Then she heard a large sound and look to see a few White Fang soldiers drop a large device.
"Hey, be careful! What are you trying to do, blow us to the moon?" One White Fang soldier scolded.
"Sorry, sir!" The other White Fang apologized and panicking a bit.
Soon, Ruby has been taken to a train with some stuff being loaded inside and she can already tell these guys are up to something really bad.
"Hey boss! Found something you might want to see!" The White Fang Guard reported.
"Is it good or bad, Perry? Because let me tell ya, I have had a day." Roman asked from inside a railcar and doesn't sound like he was in the mood for some talking.
"Uh, it's a little girl?" Perry mentioned.
That definitely got Roman's intention as he stick his head out of the railcar to see that familiar annoying red girl who got in his way twice.
"That would be bad." Roman angered with a glare at Ruby.
(Back to the Surface)
Team WWBY and Professor Oobleck follow Zwei in the streets until they stumble upon the hole Ruby fell into and her Crescent Rose in concealment mode is there too.
"Ruby's scythe!" Yang spotted the red weapon.
"Oh no!" Blake gasped.
"That girl never goes anywhere without it unless it's some none-Huntress reason which is rarely to her." Wolverine reminded everyone how attach Ruby is to her weapon.
"I fear she may have fallen into that hole." Weiss looked down at the hole.
"Fallen?" Oobleck repeated that one word.
"Yeah doc, down there." Wolverine pointed at the hole. Oobleck look at the hole for a moment and his mind widen of shocking realization.
"Oh my. Of course! Of course, OF COURSE, OF COURSE!" Oobleck yelled.
"What is it?" Blake asked.
"How could I be so stupid?!" Oobleck asked him.
"Dr. Oobleck, what's wrong?" Yang asked.
"And you better talk straight or else I'm gonna have to slap you." Wolverine warned. He does not like dealing with people in a weird panicking mood.
"Mountain Glenn! Yes, an expansion of Vale that was inevitably destroyed by creatures of Grimm! Previously home to thousands of people! Working people commuting to the city, the main city! Developed a subway system to the inner city! Grimm attacks increased! Population in danger, now desperately searching for shelter! City evacuates into the metro tunnels and what do they find? The southeast quadrant of Vale is known for wild forests and deep caves!" Oobleck explained from the history of the ruined city he knows.
"Hold on, are you saying what I think you're saying…?" Wolverine started to get the idea of what the history teacher is saying.
"Young man, we're not just looking for an underground crime network, we're looking for an UNDERGROUND crime network!" Oobleck pointed out, up close to Wolverine's face.
"They've been working in caves?" Blake asked shock.
"Like bats?" Wolverine asked as well.
"No, no, not like bats." Oobleck shook his head.
"Mountain Glenn was Vale's first serious attempt at expansion. It worked for a short period of time, thanks to an aggressive perimeter defense, and unique transportation; the city developed an elaborate subway system to carry citizens safely from the new territory into the main Kingdom! Sadly, without the many natural barriers Vale had to protect its borders, Mountain Glenn was doomed from the start! As the end drew near, the citizens of the territory made one last attempt at survival: They took up shelter beneath the city! In massive caves that they had cleared out for the subway. And they had cut themselves off from the surface!" Oobleck explained what happened with the people of the former city.
"An underground village?" Yang asked shock.
"In a matter of speaking, yes. A safe haven. Until... an explosion opened the mouth of another cavern, filled with subterranean Grimm. After that, the Kingdom officially sealed off the tunnels, creating the world's largest tomb. If Ruby is down there, we must find her..." Oobleck brought out his weapon.
"Your thermos is your main weapon?" Wolverine surprised.
"By surprise by that later, we have a little rose to save!" Yang glared down at the hole.
(With Ruby)
Ruby thought finding the bad guys' hideout would be something to do with her team and beating up the bad guys themselves, but now she has been captured and thrown away like a ragdoll by Roman who is having a laugh.
"Wow! You are much more manageable without that oversized gardening tool of yours." Roman mocked the rose girl.
Ruby didn't take that lightly and charges at Roman to throw a punch to the face, but the orange hair thief sidestep to trip her foot making Ruby stumble across the floor.
"Oh man. You know, Perry, I really did need this." Roman laughed at the White Fang soldier named Perry who gave him a thumbs up.
"Hey, are you done interrogating the bitchy brat?" A young man walked over in front of Ruby.
"Oh, chill out, Avalanche. I'm just having a little therapy session, and just finish too." Roman stated.
"Whatever floats your boat, we need to make sure we load the train with enough stuff for the big plan in a few days." The young man known as Avalanche pointed out.
Avalanche is taller than average men of his age and has a muscular and solid frame. He has dark, brown hair that he keeps long and messy. He also has brown eyes. His skin complexion is a tan-olive color, and his features are vaguely Mediterranean, especially his nose, which is fairly large, but somehow manages to fit his face. He wears a battle suit consisting of a full, navy blue bodysuit with maroon accents and a high collar. He covers it with silver-colored body armor and shoulder plates. His boots have metal plates attached and he wears gauntlets over his arms. He wears a helmet of a clear material which looks like glass, but it's lighter and does not shatter easily.
"If you want to get on with the questioning so much, why don't you ask her?" Roman offered.
"Fine, if it means getting back to what we're supposed to do." Avalanche rolled his eyes and look down at Ruby.
"Alright, little pipsqueak, tell us how you found this place, or you're learn the hard way of what it's like to have your insides be crumble from an earthquake." Avalanche demanded as he held out one hand.
Ruby knew he stood no chance against Roman, or this armored guy without her weapon, so she needs to make an escape plan right now.
With every strength from her body, Ruby performed her Petal Burst Semblance to throw one kick on Avalanche's chin and burst past Roman then she started running to get away from those two.
"You little bitch." Avalanche rubbed his chin; it didn't hurt much but it was still annoying that this little girl getting the jump on him.
Avalanche hold out one hand toward Ruby and the ground started to shake like crazy just like an earthquake and Ruby can feel the earthquake shaking as she runs, then a large crack appears on the ground and in front forcing her to stop and part of the ground rose up making her fall.
"Guess you couldn't outrun my Seismic Waves Semblance." Avalanche smirked walking.
"I see you've got some tricks up your sleeve! Now my shaken violent friend has pointed out: We're not through here yet." Roman said with a firm look in his eyes.
Suddenly an explosion went off from somewhere in the secret base camp that got those who heard of it, they got spooked.
"What the fuck was that?" Avalanche surprised.
"Perry, if you and the boys could take care of that? Kinda in the middle of something." Roman ordered.
Perry nods and ran off to find the cause of the explosion which another one went off meaning there is something troubling going on at the camp.
"WHAT is going on here?!" Roman yelled.
A third explosion happened with a few White Fang soldiers firing their guns at the unknown enemies, and those enemies turn out to be the rest of Team RWWBY and Doctor Oobleck who is firing some fireballs at the White Fangs.
"Are you fucking kidding me?!" Avalanche angered that this base has been discovered.
"Every time with those kids. Every time…" Roman groaned of annoyance with these stupid goody two-shoes kids.
Seeing how everyone is being distracted with the sudden explosion and the possible intruders are her team and Doctor Oobleck, then this is going to be her only chance she has to escape and burst away from Roman and Avalanche.
"Somebody kill her!" Roman shouted in rage and start shooting with his cane.
Avalanche tried using his earthquake Semblance to make Ruby stop like before, but this time she was ready and burst over the shaking ground and made her way to her team.
"Attach this cart and spread the word: We're starting the train. Avalanche, get on board." Roman ordered as he gets onto the train.
"But we're not finish." A White Fang soldier pointed out, but he got pinned against the metal structure of the train by Roman who is very upset.
"Do it or you're finished!" Roman demanded.
Ruby kept running until she saw some White Fang soldiers trying to stop her, but they were sent flying by Wolverine with a fast slash attack and Yang right behind him.
"Ruby!" Yang smiled and ran up to her little sister giving her a big huge.
"Are you okay?" Weiss asked as everyone else came to her.
"I'm fine, I'm fine! But listen! Torchwick's got all kinds of weapons and robots down there." Ruby informed shocking the team. "Androids, mechs, they're all loaded up on the train cars!"
"Ahhhh, that's ridiculous. These tunnels are sealed, the tracks lead to a dead-end." Oobleck pointed out.
"Get to your places, we are leaving now!" Roman announced in the speakers.
"Well, it sounds like they're going somewhere." Yang said.
"Too bad we can't call anyone with barely no signal out here for our Scrolls." Wolverine said, Ruby already tried to call Jaune but nothing.
"There's only one thing we can do right now." Wolverine glared at the train.
"We're stopping that train!" Ruby determined.

Okay everyone, the big train fighting part is well on its way with Team RWWBY are going to try really hard to stop the train from getting to its destination, and that might be a little hard with Avalanche also on board. Avalanche is also the younger version from X-Men Evolution.
