UA's Saiyan Heroes
"You're going down, you bastard." Yang called out, running at Nine, with her fists alight with flames.
Moving side to side, evading the blonde brawlers strikes, Nine wasn't even concerned with her being able to hit him, before he used a barrier to knock her away.
"Out of my way." He exclaimed.
Yang rolled along the ground, as she picked herself up, before looking off to the side. Sero and Uraraka had fallen, their combined attacks having zero effect in exhausting Nine's abilities.
"Damn it all." Yang growled, feeling her anger rising.
Huffing in anger, Yang slammed her fist on the ground, causing it to crack and rumble, before she went charging at Nine once more, fire spewing from her mouth and eyes, as she lit her fists and feet with flames.
"YOU BASTARD!" Yang cried out, with an animalistic roar.
Nine quickly turned around, before creating a single layer barrier that blocked the strike, only to shatter on impact.
"What?" Nine questioned.
Up in the ruins, the others were watching with baited breath. After Uraraka and Sero had failed, Yang was the first to leap into action, but none of them were expecting this outcome from her.
"Did her Quirk just evolve in the heat of battle?" Ojiro asked.
"Looks like it." Jiro said. "Sounds like she's infuriated as well."
"It looks like she's going berserk but look." Shoji said. "She's being cautious, and evading his reach after each strike she makes."
"It's clear he wants her Quirk after seeing it in action like this, but she's not giving him an opening to take it." Izumi said.
"Is she gonna be okay?" Eri asked, standing next to Kuro, while Mahoro and Katsuma were on the tigers back.
"I'm positive she'll be fine."
In the fight bellow, Yang slammed her fist into Nine's stomach, which sent him flying back down the hill, before he used a barrier to stop his momentum, and corrected his trajectory.
"It's obvious, this Quirk won't be mine. Yet." Nine said. "Play time is over."
Releasing an immense wave of power, Nine hit Yang with it, knocking her back while hitting her head against a boulder, rendering her unconscious.
"I'll retrieve this Quirk, after I retrieve the Cell Activation Quirk." Nine stated.
"DIE!" Katsumi shouted, setting off an explosion at point blank range.
Up in the ruins, Shoji and Ojiro were shocked that the ash blonde girl had managed to get to him so fast, and land a surprise attack. Katsumi was blown away however, as Nine had managed a triple layered barrier before the explosion went off, sending the girl flying back.
"You're still alive?" Nine questioned in shock.
"Yeah, I guess you should have hit me harder, you bastard." Katsumi smirked.
"Bakugo? What's she doing?" Shoji questioned, before Izumi rushed past him and leapt from the edge of the cliff. "Where are you going?"
"Take care of Katsuma and Mahoro." Izumi stated, as she went running down the levels of the ruins.
As Izumi ran to Nine, she coursed One-for-All through her entire body, ready to fight and protect Katsuma and Mahoro at any cost.
'We won't stop now.' Izumi thought. 'If I can't protect those two, then I can't call myself a hero.'
Reaching the battle, Izumi jumped high into the air, and soared through the sky, before coming down at Nine, and flying past Katsumi.
'Saint Louise: SMASH!' She thought as she struck Nine's barrier with a kick. 'My attack doesn't have to be at full power, I just have to make him use his Quirks.' She stated, before Nine used the air force of the barriers to send her flying back.
Careening through the air, Izumi flailed about, before Katsumi flew in and grabbed her hand, and began spinning.
"X-Catapult!" She cried out, before throwing Izumi straight for Nine.
The impact of the strike was far stronger, and forced Nine back significantly, before she cracked the barrier, and the ground behind the villain broke apart from the pressure of the force, as Nine had been pushed back even farther.
When the dust cloud dissipated, they saw Nine was still standing, but had switched to holding out his hand, to crossing his arms over his chest to create a dome barrier around him, before dispersing it.
"Not a bad effort." Nine simply said. "But you're no match for me, you should have learned this in our last fight."
"We're just getting started." Izumi stated.
"Now we'll kill you." Katsumi exclaimed.
~Kirishima~
"Damn it all." Kirishima exclaimed, as he was forced back by Chimera.
"Recipro TURBO!" Iida cried out, throwing down an axe kick at the villain.
Chimera easily saw this coming, and caught Iida's leg, before swinging him around, and throwing him into Kirishima.
"Iida." Kirishima gasped, catching his classmate in his arms, before putting him down, and running at Chimera. "Red Gauntlet!"
"That tickles." Chimera said, taking the punch at his forearm, before grabbing Kirishima's head, and throwing him away to the side, into the cliffside wall.
The fight against Chimera hadn't gone as well as he'd hoped, and it resulted in Kirishima relying on his classmates and friends for help.
"Kirishima." Jenny called out, while running to his side with Hatsume. "You okay?"
"I'm fine." Kirishima said, picking himself up, as Todoroki was attacking Chimera with his flames. "This guy really is no joke."
"He's powerful, I'm not detecting any weak points in his defenses." Jenny said.
"Perhaps this could help." Hatsume said holding up something Kirishima recognized. "I don't know what it is, but Athena told me to give it to you, in case it was needed."
"That's a Primal Rage candy." Kirishima stated. "Only Kaen's ever used them. They're meant for Saiyan use only."
"What do they do exactly?" Jenny asked.
"They give the consumer a temporary boost in power." Kirishima stated. "But keep it, in case things get really bad."
"Things are already bad." Hatsume stated, as their friends were tossed across the battle field.
"Not yet they aren't." Kirishima said, as he got to his feet. "Because we've been doing something, he hasn't been expecting."
Kirishima smirked as Chimera's body suddenly froze on him, and he was unable to move.
"Why, can't I, move?" Chimera questioned.
"What's going on?" Jenny questioned.
"You haven't figured it out yet?" Iida asked.
"There's a reason we were using the same attack moves, over and over." Todoroki said.
"My hardened hands, and Iida's legs were coated in a toxic mucus that Tsu created." Kirishima smirked. "We got you, old man."
"Don't be so insolent." Chimera exclaimed, as his body began to tremble, and burn through the toxins. His physical form began to grow in size, as the feathers on his arms extended, and the talons of his feet grew to ground crushing weight, with horns sprouting from his head. "I'll show you, why I've been called a monster, my entire life."
"He got bigger?" Iida questioned.
"That form, he reminds me of Amajiki." Kirishima said.
"Everyone, watch out." Hatsume called to them.
All the students eyes widened, as Chimera had not only burned through Tsu's toxins, but he released a breath of flames, forcing the others to take cover away from the attack, as the trees burned up, and the ice of the river melted.
"This isn't working, we need a new plan of attack." Kirishima said.
"Kirishima." Todoroki said, before smacking his classmate, as the redhead turned to him.
"Todoroki." Iida gasped in shock.
"The hell was that for man?" Kirishima questioned.
"Remember what Kaen told you, to get the upper hand against Chimera." Todoroki said. "Get angry."
"I've been trying." Kirishima said. "Don't you think I've been doing my best to get angry at him?"
"Don't get angry at him." Todoroki said. "Get angry, at the things he's done. Get angry, for the people he's hurt."
"I have an idea of how we can beat him." Hatsume said.
"What do you have in mind?" Kirishima asked.
"Iida, how much you got left in you?"
"Not much, I think I have enough for one Turbo, but that's about it." Iida stated.
"Right, then I'll need you to distract him with your power, and throw in some trash talk while you're at it." Hatsume said.
"Seriously Hatsume, mind sharing your plan with the rest of us?" Jenny questioned.
"I need the four of you to create an opening for Todoroki." Mei said, looking to Tsu, Kirishima, Iida, and Jenny.
"Does this involve what I think it does?" Todoroki asked. "What exactly are we doing?"
"He's an animal, right?" Hatsume asked. "So let's put him into hibernation."
As the students were plotting their next move, Chimera was running rampant.
"Come on kids. I thought you were gonna be taking me seriously this time around." He growled, before preparing out another breath attack.
"Hey kibble breath." Iida called out to him. "What'd you eat this morning, a bowl of dog food? Seems like it if your breath can cause this kind of damage."
"Why you little…" Chimera growled, before releasing a breath attack as Kirishima began to run.
When the beam didn't work, Chimera began firing balls of fire at Iida, like they were bullets. Iida was easily able to dodge them, running through the flames, and avoiding getting hit.
Over on what remained of the frozen lake, Kirishima was acting as a shield, while Todoroki held on to him, as they were pushed forward by his ice.
"I was just thinking." Kirishima began. "Doesn't this remind you of Kamino?"
"Yeah."
"I'll take whatever he throws at us, and make sure you get close to him." Kirishima stated.
"Thanks." Todoroki said, as they made their way onto solid ground.
Chimera noticed them coming, and turned around, quickly powering up a breath attack. With the time it took to charge up the attack, Kirishima was able to push his hardening to its strongest, and crossed his arms to act as a shield. Their momentum stopped when Chimera's breath attack hit Kirishima's arms, and forced him back by a few feet. Pressing back on a single foot, Kirishima pushed harder against the breath attack, before it ended.
"It's all up to you now." Kirishima groaned, as he fell forward.
"Kirishima." Todoroki called out.
Looking up, Todoroki glared at Chimera, before he went running to the villain, using his ice to push himself forward, before being thrown into the air, as high as he could go. Todoroki looked straight at Chimera, landing on the villain's chest, remembering the lesson Endeavor gave him about his fire power.
'If I have to push my flames as high as they'll go for a supernova, then I'll do the opposite with my ice and go as far bellow sub-zero as I can.' Todoroki thought, his right side becoming covered in frost.
Chimera struggled trying to get Todoroki off of him, before Tsu and Iida came in to restrain him, while Jenny and Mei used their tech to restrain other parts of him. Chimera was getting pissed at their attempts to stop him, and prepared another breath attack.
"Have a taste of this." Todoroki said, thrusting his arm down into Chimera's throat.
Producing as much ice as he could, Todoroki continued to pour it in the villain, dousing the breath attack, and causing Chimera to struggle harder.
'Colder, keep dropping.' Todoroki thought.
Eventually the villain began to slow down, before his whole body, and the immediate ground around his feet, were covered in a thin sheet of ice and frost, with giant ice crystal sprouting from his mouth, causing Todoroki to fall to the ground, while Chimera was frozen stiff like a statue. Todoroki laid there, shivering from the cold, as he looked at the frozen villain.
"That's it, hibernate for a while." Todoroki said, with a slight chuckle.
"We did it." Kirishima said, barely conscious, but in pain.
"Here, eat a Senzu Bean." Jenny said, coming to Kirishima's side.
Before the tech support girls could get to the others sides, the sound of cracking could be heard, causing the others to look in horror as Chimera broke the ice around him, and destroyed the ice crystals in his mouth as he bit down on them.
"Did you really think, you'd beat me with such an obvious ploy?" Chimera questioned. "Fasha was there at the Sports Festival, watching your every fight, she knows what your abilities are, and relayed that information to the rest of us. Thus, she had Nine give us a few extra abilities to counteract our natural weaknesses, in case we ever ran into you punks from U.A, before we came to this island."
"No. This can't be happening." Kirishima said, back up on his feet.
"This is where you're all gonna die, and no one is gonna miss you." Chimera growled with a sinister smirk, as he looked down at Todoroki. "You're first ice boy." He stated, raising his talons over Todoroki's head.
"NO!" Kirishima shouted, charging at Chimera.
The villain saw Kirishima coming, and putting his foot back down, he held up his arms together, and used them to block the punch that came from the boy.
"You're not gonna touch my friends. You hear me?" Kirishima questioned, his eyes shrunk in anger.
(Cue Music… Valhalla Calling Me: Peyton-P, Miracle-OS, Eric-H)
"Then show me what you got kid." Chimera smirked.
Pushing Kirishima back, Chimera retaliated with his own punch, knocking Kirishima off balance as he stumbled back, before he grounded himself and threw another punch at Chimera, this time infused with his Ki, and actually knocked the villain off balance himself.
"You've gotten stronger kid. Guess you got one helluva Zenkai boost from our battle a moment ago." Chimera said.
"Damn straight I did." Kirishima said.
"Kirishima." Jenny called out, throwing something to him.
Kirishima looked to see Jenny had thrown the Primal Rage candy towards him, unfortunately Chimera used Kirishima's distracted gaze to use his tail to knock him away, before he grabbed the Primal Rage in his claws.
"What's this?" Chimera questioned.
"Not for you." Kirishima hissed, slowing his momentum, before running back to Chimera. "That's a Primal Rage. Meant for Saiyan consumption only. If anyone other then a Saiyan eats it, they go insane and take their own life."
"Oh? Then I guess I should dispose of such a dangerous thing shouldn't I?" Chimera questioned with a smirk.
Despite his size, Chimera moved incredibly fast, and was in front of Jenny in no time.
"Down the hatch girl." Chimera smirked, slamming his palm into her face, and forcing her to swallow the candy.
"NO!" Kirishima cried out, hitting Chimera with a double spin kick to the head, knocking him away. With Chimera gone, Kirishima grabbed Jenny and looked at her in concern. "Hey, stay with me, you'll be okay."
"She'll be fine Kirishima." Mei called. "She's not a Saiyan, so she won't metabolize it as quickly, but we still have time to save her."
"I'll handle that." Iida said, running up to them. "Kirishima, you just handle taking down Chimera."
"Right. I'm gonna make that bastard pay." Kirishima growled, as Iida took a Senzu Bean. "He'll regret trying to murder my friends."
"Before I go there's something you should know, that might help you in your fight against him." Iida said. "Remember that concert Kaen took part in, the one Chimera attacked?"
"What about it?" Kirishima questioned.
"He tried to murder Eri, when he attacked it." Iida stated. "An' he nearly succeeded."
Kirishima's eyes shrank in shock, before he turned to look straight at Chimera, as the villain began picking himself up. Taking a single step towards the villain, Kirishima slowly began picking up the pace, before he was running for the villain. Leaping through the air, Kirishima flew off the ground and rammed both his fists into the villains stomach, causing Chimera's eyes to widen.
Rolling back from the impact, Chimera forced himself to stop, before he got back to his feet, and was facing off against Kirishima once again.
"Seriously brat? You're still thinking you can take me on?" Chimera questioned, standing up. "I'll admit that was a pretty good hit but…"
Chimera was silenced, when Kirishima suddenly appeared right in front of him, his Unbreakable form active, and slammed his jagged stone fist into the villain's face, knocking him to the ground.
"You just tried to kill, a friend of mine, and now I learn you were the one who crashed that concert, and tried to murder my niece?" Kirishima questioned, his body trembling with anger, as a red aura began surrounding him, his hair taking on a darker tint of crimson red, as it waved about in the energy. "I'll show you no mercy, for what you've done."
Kirishima, faster then Chimera could perceive, jumped into the air, and slammed his feet down on him. The villain was unable to comprehend where Kirishima's sudden increase in power was coming from, and was beating him in raw physical strength.
(End Song…)
From the sidelines, Tsu, Mei, and Todoroki watched as Kirishima mercilessly flew through the air, and repeatedly slammed his attacks into Chimera, driving him deeper into the ground.
"What's gotten into Kirishima?" Tsu asked.
"Athena told me about this." Mei said. "The red aura, the extreme uncontrollable rage. Kirishima's entered a state she calls, a False Super Saiyan."
"I remember this happening, to Yagi back at the USJ." Todoroki said. "Does this mean, Kirishima's a step closer to becoming a living legend, like Yagi?"
"I'm not sure." Mei said. "Athena would be the expert on that."
Kirishima continued to drive Chimera deeper into the ground, before he held his hands up, both wrists connected, and created a large Ki blast. Throwing the attack down, Kirishima slammed it into Chimera, causing the villain to cry out in pain, expending what little energy he had left, as an explosion went off.
As the dust settled, Kirishima could be seen, standing over the crater his attack caused. The aura surrounding him began to dissipate, as he calmed down, before he fell back, landing hard on the ground, as he was exhausted.
Mei, Tsu, and Todoroki came to Kirishima's side, with Todoroki looking into the crater, and seeing an unconscious Chimera, back to his smaller self, laying in the crater.
"You did it Kirishima, you beat him." Todoroki said, as Mei passed him and slid down into the crater.
"Is he dead?" Tsu inquired.
"No, just unconscious." Mei called out, restraining the villain in Darmanium Cuffs, with a Quirk Nullifying Collar around his neck. "He'll need a hospital though to see if he's suffered any fatal injuries."
"That's what the bastard gets…" Kirishima huffed. "For trying to murder my niece."
"Kirishima…" Todoroki paused, looking to him. "That's the second time you called Eri your niece. Did you and Yagi's sister get married in Saiyan culture?"
Kirishima froze, as he held his breath. Todoroki was expecting an answer, and his silence was all he needed.
"I'll be telling All Might, and Kaen." Tsu said.
"Please don't." Kirishima whined.
~Caverns~
"What were you saying about the darkness?" Slice questioned, forcing Tokoyami back as he was on the defensive. "I thought you'd be a challenge."
Athena came speeding in, as Slice sent her hair blades at him, before she used a shield to deflect them, and put push the red haired woman back.
"Oh, so now you're wanting a piece of the action as well." Slice smirked. "I'll kill you all."
"I'm not gonna let you, take the Quirk of an innocent child." Athena glared. "You've got no hope of defeating us, when we have the advantage."
"Please, you're all nothing but a bunch of helpless whelps." Fasha stated. "Especially you, Half-Breed."
'Half-Breed? Did Aunt Fasha not tell Nine's group who we really are?' Athena questioned, maneuvering through the tendrils of hair sent at her. 'If she did, then that means there's still hope for her after all.'
Moving through the stones, Athena's eyes caught a glimpse of Mina from behind, and knowing what was gonna happen next, she moved out of the way with Tokoyami, giving Mina her shot.
"Acid Shot!" Mina called out, spraying potent acid at Slice.
The result of this was the villain using her hair to block the acid, unfortunately that meant her hair was done for as it was dissolved by the corrosive substance, leaving the villain with very short hair. Crying out in anger as the acid steam cleared, Slice sent what spears of her hair she could, and Mina had to move aside to avoid them. Moving through the air, she felt some hit her legs, but knew they'd bounced off, due to her suits material having been switched out for Darmanium. However, her exposed midsection was hit, and she fell from the air to the ground.
"Mina." Athena called out, as she and Tokoyami came to her aid.
"I'll be fine, don't worry." Mina said, pulling the needles of hair from her side. "I'm feeling a bit dizzy though."
"You must have hit your head." Athena stated.
"You…" Tokoyami began, as his body trembled with anger.
"Tsukuyomi?" Athena asked, looking at him in concern.
"YOU FIEND!" Tokoyami shouted, as Dark Shadow covered him like armor, and began growing into a raging monster.
"Not good, he's feeding off of Tokoyami's anger." Athena said, creating a dome of Ki energy to shield them.
Before any of them could do anything, Ruby came speeding out in a burst of rose petals, and with determination, manifested in front of Tokoyami and Dark Shadow, her eyes glowing silver before the entire cavern was lit up in a blanket of silver light. When the light died down, Tokoyami was on the ground, next to Athena and Mina as he reigned Dark Shadow in.
"Thank you, Rose." Tokoyami said.
"Don't mention it." Ruby said, before she quickly turned around, her gun shifting into its Death Scythe as she used the blade to sever the lengths of crystallized hair that had been sent at them. "Then hell? I thought Mina's acid gave her a haircut. Why is her hair so long again out of nowhere."
"She must have been given a secondary Quirk to counter her natural flaw of overusing her hair." Athena said, putting up a barrier around them. "Ruby, I have to tend to Mina and Tokoyami, you're gonna have to be the one to take her out."
"Me? But how am I supposed to do that?" Ruby asked.
(Cue Music… Unstoppable: Sia)
"By using this." Athena said, tossing something to Ruby.
The young reaper quickly caught what Athena threw at her, before opening her hand and saw it was a suit of armor, the size of a thumb drive.
"What am I supposed to do with this?" Ruby questioned.
"Access code Delta. Release and resize to fit current user." Athena said.
"Access code confirmed." A smooth synthetic voice said from the armor, before it broke apart in Ruby's hand and the pieces began flying around her, resizing to fit the young girl. With each new piece that attached itself to her, Ruby was in awe of the tech that Athena had just used on her.
"This is amazing." Ruby said.
"It's what I've been working on in my secret lab." Athena stated. "The armor is made of Darmanium, and I infused the leather lined interior with a copy of Kodai's Quirk, from Class-B. It's voice activated, and now will respond to both our voices."
"Thanks Athena. I'll be sure to use it to kick this villain's ass." Ruby smirked, as the last of the armor covered her.
"Then get going."
Ruby lowered down into a running start, before she actually went speeding through the barrier, and headed straight for Slice.
"You think a silly wardrobe change, will save you from me?" Slice questioned, sending spears of her hair at Ruby, as it continued to grow.
"This is more then just a wardrobe change." Ruby said, maneuvering through the spears of hair.
Gritting her teeth, Slice moved her hair in a way that ensured Ruby had no means of escape, before hardening them into crystals. Slice smirked, thrusting the spears at her in glee, only for Ruby's body to change in a burst of rose petals, where the spears had stabbed at her.
"My Quirk might be known as Android, but thanks to my parents on I-Island, we've discovered a unique power, varying by who uses it, deriving from ones soul and aura. So even if I lost my Quirk to your boss, I'd still be able to use Petal Burst, and kick your ass."
Breaking up into two different clusters of petals, Ruby merged back together, taking back her normal form, Death Scythe over her shoulder, before she used the boosters in the armor, to send her flying forward, real fast, and went straight for Slice.
The villain didn't have much time to react, before Ruby was in front of her. Flipping back and to the side, Slice moved out of the way, intending for Ruby to slam right into a stalactite, but that plan was shattered, when the young girl burst into rose petals again, and split in two before twisting back around the jagged rock. Returning to normal, Ruby glared at Slice, before using the dull edge on the back of her blade to hook the villain at the waist, and throw her as hard as she could, slamming her into a stone wall.
(End Song…)
The instant Slice slid down to her feet, Ruby was in her face and clamped a Quirk Nullification Collar around the villains throat.
"My power, what happened to it?" Slice questioned, struggling to remove the collar.
"It's been nullified." Ruby said, before spinning around, hitting Slice with a spinning back kick that knocked her out.
"Great job Ruby." Athena said, using a healing Quirk on Mina.
"Athena, Rose, Ashido, Tokoyami." Iida's voice echoed through the caverns.
"Ingenium?" Ruby questioned, spotting him running towards them with Jenny in his arms, moving about frantically. "Jenny?"
"Chimera forced her to swallow a Primal Rage. She's almost to the point where she'll take her own life." Iida said, stopping in front of them, before noticing Mina and Tokoyami. "Oh now, what happened here?"
"We stopped Slice, but Mina got hurt in the process. Put Jenny down next to Mina." Athena said, pulling something out of her pouch. "How did Chimera know about the Primal Rage?"
"Hatsume threw one to Kirishima, and he let it slip the side effects it has on humans." Iida said, before a thought came to him as he set the laughing and squealing girl down. "How did you come to that conclusion though?"
"I used a cloning Quirk to clone myself, and turned those clones human. I used them as test subjects when perfecting the Primal Rage." Athena said, putting a choker around Jenny's neck as she finished installing something into it. "Alright, that should take effect."
"What'd you do?" Iida asked.
"Team Alchemy agreed with Athena, that if any of us accidentally ate a Primal Rage, she could turn us into Saiyans to avoid the lethal outcome of the side affects it has on humans." Ruby stated. "Signed a consent form and everything, with All Might as the witness to it."
"How do you think Izumi and Katsumi's group's holding up?" Athena questioned.
~Izumi and Katsumi~
The dust parted, as Nine sent a laser attack at Katsumi and Izumi, both Heroes in training running for the villain, while evading his strikes. Running forward, Izumi sent herself forward, aiming to kick Nine with the strength of her Quirk, only for it to be blocked as Nine created a triple layered barrier, and moving it to the side, pushed Izumi away towards the cliffside.
Rolling with the push, Izumi picked herself up, before running back at to the villain, as Katsumi fired multiple explosive shots at him. Moving to the side, Izumi evaded a series of attacks from Nine, before sending several Airforce shots of her own at him. Nine was in a bind as he used two barriers to deflect both Izumi, and Katsumi's attacks. Dropping the barrier protecting him from Izumi, Nine sent several lasers in her direction, forcing the girl to curl up and evade the lasers as much as she could, while they still caused some damage to her body.
"Deku." Katsumi shouted, before her attention was brought back to Nine, and raised her left arm up to block a laser attack, destroying her left grenade gauntlet. "Shit."
"It's over." Nine stated, aiming his hand to finish them both with a laser attack, before a length of tape wrapped around his wrist, and pulled his arm away.
"You'd better think again." Sero exclaimed, pulling Nine towards him as he sent himself flying towards the villain.
Pulling his arm back, Nine thrust his unrestricted arm to Sero and hit him with laser, that sent him skipping along the ground, like a stone skipping across the surface of a body of water.
"Sero." Katsumi gasped, as the hero in training struggled to pick himself up.
From out of the dust behind him, Uraraka came flying towards Nine, intending on making him float, thus giving her the opportunity to restrain him. Her sneak attack was in vein however, as a giant blue Hydra head came out of his back, bit down on her, and threw the Gravity Hero away like a dog with a squeaky toy. Before she could hit the ground, Izumi came zipping through the air, and caught the now barely conscious and injured girl in her arms.
"Uraraka." Izumi said, very concerned for her friends safety.
"I'm okay, Deku." Uraraka said, before passing out.
"Bastard." Katsumi growled, sending multiple explosions at Nine, as Izumi landed on the ground, and put Uraraka down.
"You'll pay for that." Izumi declared, twisting around and firing several Airforce shots at the Hydra head, before it split in two.
In an instant, the two Hydra heads shot through the air, and slammed into both heroes, sending them flying into the stone wall of the ruins behind them, while Nine himself was walking through the dust.
'He's pushing us back… At this rate, he'll get to the kids.' Izumi thought.
'Damn it.' Katsumi huffed.
Nine raised his hands and sent both Hydras at Izumi and Katsumi, intending on killing them with this final blow.
"Detroit: SMASH!" Kaens voice echoed out through the air, before the Saiyan himself came straight down from the sky, the force of his strike slamming into the two Hydra heads, before they could bite down on Izumi and Katsumi.
Without missing a beat, Kaen came out of the dust his attack kicked up, and slammed his fist into Nine's masked face, cracking the mask, while hitting Nine as if he were a prized boxer on deck, leaving the villain no openings whatsoever.
"Kaen?" Izumi panted.
"The hell took you so long?" Katsumi questioned. "An' where are your wings?"
"Sorry, but dealing with Fasha proved a little more difficult then I thought." Kaen said, before punctuating the sentence with one more strike to Nine's stomach. "As for my Wings, let's just say, Fasha didn't like them all that much, and thought I was better off without them."
Nine staggered back before he began struggling and crying out in pain, his entire body aching as he'd reached his limit.
"It's working." Kaen said. "He's reached the limit of what his body can handle."
"Now's our chance." Izumi said, as she and Katsumi rushed passed Kaen.
"No wait." Kaen said, leaping forward and grabbing both of them by the shoulder.
"If only I could take the Cell Activation Quirk." Nine said, as two prongs pierced the suit, and the purple liquid in the vials draining into his body, and his mask falling to the ground as the sky darkened, revealing the purple markings traveling up his face. "Then I'd be fine, I wouldn't have to hold back."
Without warning, Nine let out a powerful scream of rage, as a storm formed overhead. A bolt of lightning came down from above, aimed straight for the trio of heroes. As he let his power flow, Nine was unaware of the blur that came running in, just before the lightning struck down on its targets, while destroying the terrain around the field of battle.
Up in the higher levels of the ruins, Jiro, Shoji, and Ojiro peeked back out from behind the stone wall with the three children, looking with baited breath as smoke rose from the epicenter of the lightning strike.
"Are they okay?" Katsuma questioned in fear.
"They'll be fine." Eri said. "Papa's with them, he'll be able to keep them safe."
As Eri said that, she was wondering if she was trying to reassure the two on Kuro's back, or if she was trying to reassure herself, as she gripped the front of her jacket real tight, as she remembered the conversation she had with her father before this all began.
~Flashback~
"Eri, take this." Kaen said, giving Eri a metal bracelet with a piece of leather connected to it.
"What is it Papa?"
"It's something that'll help you strengthen you Quirk, as you get older. Never lose it, and always make sure it never falls into the hands of a villain." Kaen said, putting it around her wrist. "It's made of a metal that'll bend and grow to accommodate your wrist, as you get older. So be sure it stays with you, at all times, do you understand?"
"I understand Papa." Eri said.
"Alright, now I'm counting on you to take good care of Mahoro and Katsuma. Do you have the new hero costume your Mama Ruby made you?" Kaen asked.
"Mmhmm." Eri nodded.
"Good Kitten. Now, let's get going. The Shimano Siblings aren't gonna be protected if we're here, and not out there with them." Kaen stated.
~End Flashback~
"Shoji, take Katsuma, Mahoro, Eri, and go." Ojiro said.
"What about you?" Shoji questioned.
"Please just do it." Jiro said.
"Hold on, where's Eri?" Katsuma asked.
Shoji, Jiro, and Ojiro looked around, and the only thing they found was Eri's jacket. Grabbing it, Jiro looked in the immediate area, before she spotted Eri, and her eyes widened in complete terror.
Eri had thrown away her jacket, and in a fit of rage, was running at Nine on all fours like a wild tiger. The new hero costume Ruby had put together for her, was a white as snow version of Kaens, with stripes along the body, like that of a tigers.
"What is she thinking?" Shoji questioned.
"Shoji, take Mahoro and Katsuma, and get out of here. We'll get Eri and deal with Nine." Ojiro said, before he went running after Eri with Jiro right behind him.
Shoji didn't have time to argue, before he groaned in annoyance.
"Kuro, come on let's go." Shoji said, turning away from the battle with the tiger following suit.
Down on the battle field, Nine was confused, as he raised a brow at the rapidly approaching Eri, before he smirked when he saw what she was wearing.
"How cute, the little kitten wants to play hero." Nine smirked, raising his hand to fire a laser at her.
Before he could fire off the attack however, he was stopped as Fasha came out of nowhere, and kicked him in the face.
"Don't you dare touch her!" Fasha exclaimed, performing a spinning back kick and sending Nine flying back.
As Nine picked himself up, he couldn't understand why Fasha was there, and why she was attacking him.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Nine questioned.
"Something I should have done, a long time ago." Fasha said, before crouching down, allowing for the rapidly approaching Eri to use her back like a springboard and send herself at Nine.
The Villain's eyes widened when he saw the feral, and animalistic features on the child, before he moved out of the way, evading Eri as only the claws of one of her hands sliced through his cheek.
"You little brat." Nine exclaimed, using a hydra head to grab Eri.
"ERI." Fasha shouted, before sonic waves came out from behind her, and hit the Hydra, causing it to disperse.
Without thinking, Eri flipped through the air, and landed on all fours, before she went running back at Nine. Sending another Hydra at her, Nine was intending to remove any obstacles in his way, but Eri learned from the last attack, and jumped on top if the Hydra's head, running along its length to the villain.
"Pesky little brat." Nine cursed, before shooting a laser at her.
Eri glared at Nine as she maneuvered through the lasers, and reached his main body. Before the child could do anything however, Nine produced another hydra from his back, that bit down on Eri at the waist, causing her to cry out in pain.
"ERI." Fasha cried out, before she powered up, and charged at Nine, slamming her fist into his face.
This caused Nines concentration to break, before Eri began falling to the ground. Catching the child in her arms, Fasha jumped back, and away from Nine.
"You're gonna be okay Eri." Fasha said, holding the child close to her.
"Aunt Fasha?" Eri asked, looking up at her.
"Put Eri down, and get away from her." Jiro stated.
Fasha twisted around, finding Jiro as the heroine was pointing her wrist mounted speakers at the female Saiyan.
"If you use your Quirk on me, you'll damage Eri's ears as well." Fasha stated. "Look, I know you have no reason to trust me, but believe me when I say, I'm not your enemy anymore. Kaen helped me to see that there was another way."
Jiro looked skeptical at Fasha, before Ojiro gently grabbed one of her arms, giving Jiro cause to lower both of her armed limbs.
"I believe her." Ojiro said. "It looks as though she's been crying quite a bit. Rather recently at that. I think Kaen might have really gotten to her."
"Fine." Jiro said. "I'll take Eri."
"I'll hold Nine back as long as I…" Fasha stopped talking when a laser came shooting through her left eye, causing her to go silent, as her remaining eye rolled into the back of her head and she fell forward.
"Traitor." Nine huffed.
Jiro grabbed Eri from the now dead womans arms, the childs eyes wide with horror and fear, before Jiro and Ojiro ran away from Nine, to regroup.
"Eri, Eri listen to me." Jiro said, snapping the child out of her shock, as she put her down on the ground. "I know it may hurt right now, but please you have to follow Shoji and Kuro. Stay safe with Katsuma and Mahoro."
"But… Aunt Fasha…"
"Don't look to her, look at me." Jiro said, keeping Eri's eyes on her. "She was a hero in the end, now go be one as well."
Eri looked at Jiro, before nodding, and running in the direction of the evacuation route. Looking to Ojiro, Jiro gave him a look that said, they needed to end this now.
Running in separate directions, Jiro and Ojiro each reached opposite sides of a bridge, with Nine in the middle.
"Heartbeat Distortion!" Jiro cried out, slamming her wrist mounted speakers into the ground, causing her end of the bridge to fall apart.
"Twirling Tail Dance!" Ojiro shouted, slamming his tail into the ground, and destroying his end of the bridge.
With both ends destroyed, the bridge fell to the ground bellow, with Nine still among the ruble. Thinking they'd managed to stop him, Jiro and Ojiro were proud of their work, until two Hydra heads came out of nowhere, and rammed into them, biting down on the two heroes in training and slamming them into the walls of the castle ruins courtyard, while Nine used the Hydras to pull himself up. Planting his feet firmly on the ground level, Nine began making his way to Mahoro and Katsuma, following the direction he'd spotted Eri running off to.
Meanwhile, Shoji was busy running with Kuro and now Eri both at his side, while the two Shimano siblings were on the tigers back.
"There's the escape route." Shoji said.
"Watch out." Eri cried out, before pushing Shoji out of the way, taking on a laser shot that nicked her cheek, while leaving a hole in the cartilage of her right ear.
"Eri." Shoji gasped as Kuro turned around and nudged at the fallen girl.
Spotting Nine, Shoji rushed around Kuro and turned his back to the villain, while holding his arms out to shield them from the other lasers that was aimed for them.
"Kuro, take Eri and run. Get away from here, and keep them safe." Shoji stated, falling to his knees.
Nine prepared another wave of lasers, before he moved his arm to the side, and held up a barrier, blocking Jiro's attack, as she managed to make her way to them, despite her injured stated.
"Kuro, protect them, and get them out of here." Jiro said.
"Don't look back." Ojiro cried out, coming up from behind Nine.
"Go." Shoji shouted, twisting around and charging at the villain.
With two enemies coming from in front and behind, and another attacking him long range, Nine created a barrier around him, and used it to knock them all away, including Jiro. As the dust settled, Nine felt his body pulse in pain, forcing him to grip his chest, as he staggered to where Kuro was now standing in front of, and guarding the three children. Mahoro was scared, but Katsuma was terrified. Kuro could sense their emotions, and thinking only on basic instinct, started running for Nine, roaring at him before she was grabbed by a Hydra and thrown to the ground, causing her to whimper in pain.
"Kuro no." Katsuma gasped, looking to the tiger.
Mahoro stopped the boy from running to the tiger, before their attentions were drawn to Eri as she began to get up, and was extremely angered. Looking at the villain, Eri crouched down on all fours, her body taking on a more feral form, before she began charging at Nine. Leaping at the villain, Eri swiped her claws at him, before he grabbed her by the throat, and slammed her into the ground.
"No, don't hurt her." Katsuma shouted.
Mahoro saw how much Katsuma was concerned for Eri, and even though she was terrified for her own life, she still did something, completely unexpected.
"Keep running Katsuma." Mahoro said.
"No don't Mahoro."
"It's fine, just go." Mahoro stated, as she went straight up to Nine. "Get your foot off her, and stay away from my brother. Stay back. Don't you get any closer."
Mahoro's pleas fell upon deaf ears, as Nine just glared at her, and without warning, grabbed Mahoro by her throat.
"No Mahoro." Katsuma gasped, as Nine placed his foot on Eri's head.
"Unless you want your sister, and this girl to die right now, you'll get over here." Nine began as he was feeling immense pain in his chest.
"No… run away… Katsuma…" Mahoro pleaded, before Nine tightened his grip on her.
Katsuma's legs were shaking with fear. He couldn't bring himself to run, or move at all, as he watched Eri and Mahoro's lives hanging in the balance.
"Help me turn my desire… into a reality." Nine wheezed, squeezing the life out of Mahoro, while pressing harder on Eri's head.
"Please… Katsuma…" Mahoro whimpered.
In that instant, Mahoro felt something overtake him, as he felt his body moving once more. Katsuma however, wasn't running away from Nine, he was running straight for the villain, swinging his fists as tears streamed down his face, while he remembered the kindness Eri had shown him when they first met.
"Bye Katsuma, nice meeting you." Her words echoed in his head, as he saw her smiling face in the memory of the night they first met.
"NO!" Katsuma shouted as he ran. "I can't just give up. I promise I will protect you Mahoro, and I'll save you Eri."
The instant Katsuma was withing range, Nine tossed Mahoro aside like she was nothing, before he reached out his hand to grab the boy, a light gleaming in his eyes as he saw his ideal future within his grasp. As he was an inch away from grabbing Katsuma's face, Nine was punched in the face, and kicked in the side at the same time, forcing his body to bend in both directions, with an audible crack of his spine echoing through the air.
Katsuma gasped as Kaen had been responsible for punching him in the face, and Izumi had been responsible for the kick, both of them looking beyond pissed.
"SMASH!" Both heroes shouted out, as they sent Nine spinning through the air in the direction of the punch.
Katsumi came racing from the same direction as Kaen, and caught Mahoro before she could hit the ground. Sliding to a stop, Katsumi ran back to Kaen and Izumi as the Saiyan grabbed Eri, with Kuro limping towards them, and Izumi grabbed Katsuma, all three heroes placing the children near Shoji.
"Sorry we're late." Izumi said.
"You're okay." Katsuma gasped.
"That was very brave Katsuma, you did great I'm proud of you, and I know your dad will be as well." Kaen said, putting a hand on the boys head, before giving him three beans. "Give one of these to Eri, Shoji, and Kuro. These are my last Senzu Beans, so don't waste them."
"No… Kaen…" Shoji began, his voice hoarse and filled with pain. "Don't waste… one of them… on me… Save it for… yourself…"
"You need it more then I do right now Shoji." Kaen said. "You did good as well. Take it easy, and eat the Senzu Bean."
Getting to his feet, Kaen turned back to Nine as he picked himself up, a glare on his face as he cracked his neck, as his back bulged out and a familiar pain, irradiated through his spine.
"Katsumi, Izumi." He said.
"Don't gotta tell me twice." Katsumi growled.
"I'm right behind you." Izumi stated, her usual friendly demeanor nowhere to be seen, as she cracked her knuckles.
"Any asshole who'd willingly threaten the life of a child, doesn't deserve any mercy." Kaen stated, before a brand new pair of Darmanium Wings sprouted from his back. "Let's show his wannabe All-for-One, why you don't mess with the students, of Class1-A." He declared, the Wukong Gem protruding from his chest, and taking on the shape of a five leaf clover, with a holster and a black antique book of some kind manifesting around his waist, and on his hip.
