Die of Destiny Chapter 13. The Mistake

"IMPS!"
I wasted no time summoning as many armed Imps that could fit in the Lobby while putting myself behind them all while I cloaked myself again in the Sire's Shadow.
This is bull crap ROB! I just barely beat one of these monsters and now I have to fight a second one? Not cool!
The only good thing is that she doesn't look nearly as durable as Grudge so I am going to hope that it's true.
I expected lots of things. That she would immediately attack, that she would demand angrily about what I was doing, or maybe beg for her life. That was the most unlikely but then, I learned then and there that there is always a more unlikely scenario.
She calmly lower herself onto her front hooves while she perused the gaggle of crimson imps and then looked to Spite, who was wondering why I was aiming at Emnity, then me.
She then smiled, that single fang making a reappearance, and spoke with a pleased tone while lowering herself onto her stomach.
"As I expected of the Master of the Devil's Advocate. Though your recovery was a bit slow you didn't hesitate to distance yourself and summon your horde to deal with me as you did my sister. And yet, you also didn't have them instantly attack as you don't know what my powers are while also hoping that I will stand down or beg for my life. Is this correct?"
I didn't react outwardly but inside I was gaping. How did she figure so much out?
She giggled at my silence and began preening her metal wings while giving no fucks about the army of imps ready to gun her down.
"You are probably wondering why I am reading you so well. And it's because I know you. Unlike Grudge who was 'Simping' as you call it over Wolfwood and Spite who was more interested in watching you suffer, I was both enjoying your misery and studying you. And with that study came me noticing your small tells. One of which is when you are truly surprised you default to silence regardless of how calm you appear.
Damn it, really? I guess I need to start channeling the old Greg to make sure I don't expose myself.
Starting now.
I dismissed most of the Imps except for 5 that brought me a red version of the chair I had in the Club alongside a new cigar and ashtray and after a moment of hesitation. I also had them bring a copy of my chair for Emnity who stood up and jumped into the chair as they put it down.
She sat in the chair on her haunches with a satisfied smile as I began smoking my cigar and trying to digest this new information
Was she really studying me the whole time? I went back over my memories from the month with Wolfwood and to my shock she was! Sure she was with Spite but I often saw her nearby when I was doing my shooting, resting, and basically everything she always kept her distance and Spite was always with her so I just wrote it off.
But why? Why did I write it off? The answer came quickly and I wanted to bang my head against the ground again.
Because I saw them as pets, mere animals with rudimentary speech and not actual cognizant beings.
My purple Jack o lantern mouth frowned as I decided that just sitting silently wasn't benefitting me and asked.
"So you were studying me? And what is your opinion of me?"
I couldn't move forward until I knew more about her reasoning so I had nothing to lose by asking her upfront. Even a lie will let me start learning her tells and gleam her true thoughts by seeing how her actions contrasted with her words. I might have been caught off guard once by Grudge but I would NOT be again!
She adjusted her position and rested her head on the right armrest, her expression not changing from smug satisfaction. Which I was starting to suspect would be her default look.
"I have concluded that not only are you an endless source of entertainment with you bringing misery to both yourself and others but also that my sister was a damned foal for trying to outright usurp you."
She gained a frown and her tail flicked in annoyance.
"She even tried to kill you with that last lunge after losing her power knowing that if she somehow did manage it would kill not just her but me and Spite. How pathetic of her to try to commit suicide."
This was news to me as I didn't even think about her trying to kill herself because ya know, with me high on Madness but that just made her next reaction illogical.
With my cigar in my right hand, I made sure to speak instead of going quiet. Voicing my internal thoughts.
"But that makes no sense. If she wanted to die then why did she struggle so hard not to suffocate?"
Enmity regained her smug look as she spoke to the Imp holding the Ashtray.
"Hey! I am hungry so get me a salad and some water!"
The Imp looked at me in uncertainty and I tilted my head in confirmation as such a demand was so trivial that even as a powerplay it was worth it if it meant I got a better read on her and soon she was sitting upright as a new Imp stood on a stool to hold her food sitting on a glass platter that she began to eat with gusto between her words.
"Because. Munch. Grudge is as you know a coward. nibble ooh that is good. And she also doesn't plan ahead so it was purely an act of passion and then, Sip! This water is crisp. She was forced to face the idea of a true death which to beings like us who never even had to ponder the concept of death was enough to shatter what little resistance she had left. So all in all that entire experience was extremely gratifying."
I puffed some sparkly smoke as I held my chin.
"Well, that explains a lot. But we are getting off track. You talked about 2 reasons but you only told me one."
She took a sip from the cup of water that was somehow sticking to her hoof and after a satisfied 'Ahh' she threw it behind her with enough force to shatter it which looked pretty badass and I resolved to start doing that when I'm done with drinks too.
"Again, your perception is commendable. But the second is that even in my more…primal state I was able to recognize that you were not even an adult but you not only had power over me and my sisters who as you already know are the very embodiments of Winter and hatred and you hadn't even had your powers for 3 days. So, just like how Grudge said I planned ahead. I would earn your favor and take advantage of your powers to have a never-ending buffet of suffering. But then."
Her features softened into a genuine smile of gratitude.
"When Grudge destroyed Spite and disowned me you did not sit idly by. No, instead you grew enraged! You promised me, who you saw as nothing more than an animal. That you would make her pay for her betrayal and you delivered!"
She stomped her hoof into the chair and ground it against the cushion to show her point crowing in joy
"You broke her down, ground her into dust, and repeatedly threw into her face her cruel words towards us, towards me, and even gave me the final word on whether she would retain her powers. And the RUSH! Watching her beg me, the 'manure' for help and denying it was the greatest revenge I could have ever hoped for!"
Her eyes were shining with literal stars like she was from the cartoon and a look of pure euphoria twisted her features into something both cute and disconcerting.
And all because she was given the final decision on neutering her sister? She's a Sadist alright.
Then I thought. 'Cartoon?' which is when I realized that both of us, while still being 3D beings were as close as Cartoonish as you could get which then let me realize that my Imps were the same! Just Real enough to not look like CGI but Cartoony enough that things that would have been super creepy like big eyes instead look charming and cute.
But how did I not notice this?!
Damn it, My Madness! I was so crazy that Grudge going from a mostly realistic specter then to a mechanized horse and finally turning into a Pseudo cartoon was not even a blip on my mental radar.
While I struggled with my own lack of perception she returned to her laying position and concluded.
"So while you were out of it and I saw those Golden Claws appeared I decided then and there that I would be loyal because if I am to be bound to you for eternity I would rather be a Partner than a heh, 'Pet' and I am already seeing results." She waved her hoof gesturing to the Casino.
"Look at this place! I never understood why mortals cared for worldly things but now that I have a physical form and can eat, can feel. I finally know! The softness of a chair, and the taste of salad. And thanks to your [Devil's Advocate] I will be able to enjoy the greatest earthly delights till the end of time!"
Her words distracted me as I finally learned what her angle was. She just wants to enjoy the easy life!... I can work with that. It costs me nothing and if that is enough to get her loyalty then it's a deal I'll gladly accept.
And if I play this right then maybe I can accelerate my plans.
I tapped some ash into the ashtray with a pointy-toothed smile.
"And you will. You want to be my partner right? Then I have some conditions"
She sat up, fluttering her wings a little as she gained a shark-like grin….literally
"What a coincidence. So do I."
With both of us bearing sharp teeth and greed in our eyes we began our negotiations.
POV Karen Veder about to leave the Doctor's office.
"Alright, Miss Veder. You should be good to go now. But are you sure you don't want to put your kid in therapy? Destroying his room, your kitchen and even burning you by throwing boiling water on you? Those are all things that warrant at the very least seeing a therapist."
Karen sighed as she touched the jagged remnants of her bangs after cutting all the singed parts off and the looked at the white Doctor who just so happened to be from Medhall and decided that she needed to put a stop to that kind of talk as it put him at risk of exposure.
She gained a deadly glare that her grandmother had drilled into her, one that was like a hawk eyeing a mouse making the slightly overweight blond-haired doctor flinch.
"My son does not need therapy. When he was forced to apologize to the Negro and her friends he was full of rage but he did not act stupid and retreated. He ALSO did not mean to burn me as I came in at the wrong time and he had tossed that boiling pot of water just as I entered. He then helped treat my wounds apologizing for his actions. If I hadn't walked in at that exact moment no one would have been hurt and I could have instantly started teaching him his Heritage that he is excited to regain.
"He has quite a bright future you know. He is already building a name for himself among the next generation, and who knows perhaps in the future he will be a vital tool for the cause and his having his mental state questioned will cripple that potential and I, as a Proud Herran will not allow my son to be held back by some Flunky with a medical degree thinking that he knows better than me, his mother."
She then leaned closer, thinly veiled violence coloring every syllable.
"Now, You are not to breathe a word of this event or I promise you. The Herran Clan will not tolerate the insult. Is that understood? Doctor Longhurst?"
The cowardly doctor gulped before putting on a false smile and altering the paperwork to hide the truth.
"Now now, no need for threats Miss Herran. I'll make sure to keep this incident between us."
She then smiled. "Good. Now, I must be off." She then left that doctor's office all while resisting the grimace that wanted to manifest itself.
She hated using the Herran name. The name she left behind to be with her wonderful Husband. But she had no choice. She was a fool. She didn't realize that claiming that it was Greg who burned her that would bring his mental state into question.
She entered her car muttering.
"I'm rusty. I should have said I burned myself but no, I told more truth than I needed. I need to think my lies through better. Gran Gran would have slapped me for such a blunder."
Her Maternal Grand Mother was a high-ranked member of the Herran Clan and it was thanks to her that she and her cousin managed to leave as she 'banished' them in 'Punishment' She was dead now but her status of banishment was long since overthrown over the many years working at Medhall with her co-workers firmly believing that she has 'repented' What a joke.
But it was fine. Such a low-ranked member wouldn't dare reveal this information and risk the Wrath of the Herran Clan. Many people liked to say that the clan was weaker than the E88 and offered their capes to their allies in hope of being acknowledged. but they tend to conveniently forget a single fact. That every Cape in the Clan is related either through Marriage or blood. And to anger the clan is to risk all those capes deciding to show their displeasure.
Did it happen often? No, infighting was common in the clan as everyone vied for power but it was an entirely different story for attacks on the clan itself. The last group to piss off the clan was a small gang in Texas that called themselves the 'Arian Rangers' They thought it would be a good idea to kill the Messenger of the clan after the clan refused to give them any capes. Now the only thing that remains of their sorry hides is the crater that had once been their ranch.
So no, that Doctor would keep his mouth shut for his own sake.
She hoped.
"Oh Mark, I wish you were here. You would have done a much better job than I did."
She would continue to worry all the way home and once she walked through the front door she messaged Greg via Telepathy.
'Greg, I'm home. How are you handling things?'
Her worried heart lightened a little as her precious boy happily responded.
"Quite good! I have made some major breakthroughs with my powers and I have a surprise for you.'
'Really? What is it?'
'First. You gotta answer me a question. If you go anywhere in the world where would you go?'
Karen was a bit confused about how that mattered but part of her was relieved because it was one of the many, trivial questions her child liked to ask before he triggered so she played along if only to try and retain what remained of Greg's old personality.
She tapped her finger on her chin as she sat down in her chair where the remains of the table once sat, reminding her that she needed to buy a new one.
'Well, Mark and I had always wanted to visit the Great Pyramid of Giza but we never had the money or time.'
'The Great Pyramid? Alright. I can do that.'
She raised an eyebrow.
'You can- 'EEEK!"
She screamed as just behind her she heard the sound of something ripping alongside a strong cold wind that threatened to suck her in!
She barely had time to register the danger before she found herself falling backward through what looked like a tunnel of purple and black rings.
"EEEEEEEEEEEK OOOF!"
She screamed the whole 5 seconds it took for her to exit the tunnel and with a thud she fell back first into the hot sand, the blazing sun making her squint in its light.
"Hah! Your face! Oh, Enmity was right this is MUCH funnier than just escorting you through."
She coughed to remove the sand that was threatening to enter her mouth and stood out of her wooden chair to glare at her son.
"Greg Veder! Just what do you think you're doing scaring your Mother like that!?"
Her son was not wearing that horrible black shadow allowing her to see his face which even with her yelling remained a smile.
"Well, I was thinking that I wanted to be a good son and give my hard-working mother the vacation she always wanted!"
"Vacation? W- why are we standing in hot sand?"
She finally registered the fact that she was in a large desert, the sun high in the sky and the heat being smothering in its intensity.
Her insufferable son laughed at her as he gently turned her around.
"You wanted to see the Great Pyramid. So here you go!"
She gaped at the giant pyramid that was only a few meters away, the shadow facing away from her.
She teared up a bit at the sight that she had wanted to see with her husband and asked her son.
"Hhow?"
"Why, with my Gilded Emnity, that's how." he raised his right hand which currently had 3 golden claws emerging from his knuckles like a certain Mutant from the old comics.
"Your What?"
"My Gilded Enmity. Another Mutation and a welcome one. With a single swing of my claws."
He swung them to his right and with the same tearing sound the purple portal appeared and he jumped in, the portal vanishing right after leaving her alone.
"Greg!? Greg!? Where are you!?" Did her son just abandon her in the desert!?
"I can go anywhere in the world!" She shrieked as her son appeared to her left carrying what looked like a giant snowball that he then handed her.
"Since it's hot I grabbed some snow from Antarctica to cool you off!
She stared at the snowball the size of a basketball and then at the claws that slowly retracted into his hand, turning briefly into black blood as they did so.
She then decided to react in the most appropriate way.
SPLAT!
"Hey! What was that for?"
She huffed as she turned away from her son, the snow now adorning his shocked and slightly scandalized face as she had smashed his face into it like a pie.
"For scaring your mother!"
Her son just laughed again and after a few moments, she began to lose her annoyance as she looked up at the pyramid and then at her son.
"So you can teleport anywhere in the world now? How about taking us home?"
He opened his mouth and she glared.
"Without the theatrics!"
"Awwwwwww." he drooped but nonetheless he grew his claws once more and with a single swing the the portal reappeared and they returned home.
Which is when Karen realized she had left the chair in the desert!
She just sighed while rubbing the bridge of her nose and addressed her son.
"Greg, we left the chair in the desert Can you go get it?"
Her answer came in the now familiar sound of the portal opening but when she looked behind her she was stunned to see her son just standing there, picking sand out of his nails.
"Greg?"
"Yes?"
"Didn't I tell you to go get my chair?"
"Yeah."
Her eye twitched.
"And so why are you still here?"
Did he really not get what she was getting at or was he trying to be funny again?
"Don't worry. I sent Grudge to do it."
Wasn't that the name of one of his Windigos? The windigos?!
The evil spirits known to freeze entire continents!?
"Wait! You let one of the Windigos loose!? Aren't you worried about them killing people?"
She wanted to shake his shoulders but he completely blew her off remarking.
"Okay, she's got it. Opening the portal."
With an almost lazy wave he sliced open reality again and Karin braced herself to meet one of the dark spirits that had possessed her child. She had expected a demon, a Spectre of pure evil who gnawed the bones of their prey but what she got instead was.
"Master, I got the chair."
"A pony?"
She had to rub her eyes as a pastel dark pink pony with a yellow belly wearing a pink collar with a silver bell was standing there with the chair in its right front hoof, its cartoonishly large eyes half-lidded with annoyance.
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" Karen squealed like a girl a third of her age as she snatched up the pony and began snuggling it aggressively, making it drop the chair and flail its front legs trying to escape
"Hey! Let go of me you crazy Whorse!" But Karen wasn't listening as her childhood fantasy of having a little pony to love had overridden her reason and was currently spinning around.
"It's so cute! Greg! I thought you said they were evil Harbingers of death but she's so fluffy I could die!"
Grudge began to struggle for real, pushing against Karen's chest making her grip on the earth pony loosen..only for her son to calmly say with just a hint of threat.
"Let her have her fun Grudge. After all, pets are meant to be snuggled right?"
Grudge went limp, grumbling about how stupid this was but this was enough for Karen to regain her reason and stop spinning though she didn't let go of Grudge.
"Ahem, But seriously Greg, why were you trying to keep them hidden when they are so cute?"
"I'm not cute." Grudge grumbled and as Greg was going to open his mouth to answer a female voice spoke up.
"We were not always so glamorous Miss Veder."
From her son's back, a spout of black blood shot out which then swiftly condensed on the floor into the shape of a Cyan Zebra pony with large golden wings and a mane of gold.
"And you are?" She politely asked, squeezing Grudge tighter so as to not try to hug her as well as Karen got the feeling that those metal wings would easily slice her open.
The Pegasus smirked, moving in front of Greg who just shook his head exasperated as she got onto her hind hooves, flared her wings with a metal Schweing noise confirming Karen's suspicion and a cold wind blew from nowhere to blow the mane dramatically.
"Feast your eyes upon my beauty! For I am Gilded Emnity the Frozen Tiger and eldest of the Windigo Sisters!"
Karen recognized the name Emnitty as Greg did say one of them was named that and if she was holding Grudge then.
Wait. Is that a tattoo on her butt?
Karen's thoughts were derailed at the familiar portal on the pegasus's hindquarters. Her motherly instincts were triggered due to how cute they were so with narrowed eyes and a disappointed frown she scoldingly said.
" Young lady! Why do you have a tramp stamp on your butt?" her blunt rebuke knocked the literal wind out of Emntiy's sail while Greg snorted while covering his mouth in a pathetic attempt to not laugh.
"Trramp stamp!? That is my Cutie Mark! If you call it that again I'll cut you to ribbons!"
Enmity had a blush as she threatened Karen with a bladed wing but Karen wasn't phased as she just looked at Greg with the look she always gave him when she caught him doing something wrong and wanted an explanation. Greg blinked confused then gained a look of understanding and explained.
"Mom, I didn't give them those and they are not *Snort!* Tramp Stamps They're Cutie Marks. In their Society, they are gained when they find out what their destiny is and are very special to them so you should apologize."
"Oh." She blinked at this then said to Emnity softly. "My apologies. I'm used to my son being a moron so seeing that made me fall into old habits."
Enmity huffed at this, clearly not satisfied so Karen called on the tactics used to deal with vain capes.
"Your mane is quite lovely, how is it so smooth?"
This seemed to be the right thing to say as Emnity preened and flapped her wings briefly.
"My Mane is lovely, isn't it? I don't have to do anything as I am naturally this beautiful!"
"I am quite jealous. My own hair has recently been burned uneven so I am in need of a haircut."
She did this while touching her hair cut and while she did trim it she wasn't a barber so it was messy.
Greg perked up. "Oh! Then how about you go to the Casino? I can have an imp fix it up in a snap!"
Oh her boy is so thoughtful. "Thank you Greg, Can we do it now? I don't want to deal with this a second longer than I have to."
"Hey! Can you let go of me now!?"
"Oh! Apologies. You are just so huggable." She slowly put Grudge down as she would a cat and Grudge wasted no time scampering away and going behind Greg and glaring at her.
"Stupid whorse! How dare you humiliate the mighty Grudge W. Wolfwoo-"
"Ahem." She froze mid-sentence at Greg's Disappointed tone alongside him glaring at her with what she quickly recognized was the same judging look she herself used back when those demons offered him a drink. and she felt a surge of pride as he disciplined his power. That's her boy!
"Err, I mean. Please don't do that again without asking please?"
Greg nodded, the look going away. "That's right. I didn't mind your previous words as words slipping in shock is common but I will not give you a second freebie. Now apologize for your insult."
Grudge looked like the last thing she wanted to do was apologize but under the look of both Enmity and Greg's faces and said.
"Sorry for calling you a whorse."
Karen was confused. Was it an insult?
"Mom, a Whorse is their version of the word whore."
She gained her own glare at her son's words but in the end, decided to be the bigger woman and huffed.
"Apologies accepted Grudge, but if you call me that again I'll have Greg punish you."
Grudge grumbled but didn't say anything else as she turned into black blood that flowed into Greg's body leaving only Emnity out and about.
"I always love seeing her put down a peg. Now, shall we get moving? We need to help Karen fix her mane."
Greg nodded. "Great idea."
He summoned a red key and went over to the pantry closet and in seconds it was now a red Usher door with a plaque reading. 'Bleeding Heart Theatre'
He opened the door with Emnity flying through it first then held it saying. "Shall we?"
Karen smiled at his manners and after only a moment of hesitation, passed through and Greg closed the door behind her.
POV Change that same evening in the office of the CEO of Med Hall.
"Are you certain Longhurst?"
Mr Anders, CEO of Medhall otherwise known as Kaiser, and leader of the E88 questioned the doctor who while sweating still remained firm.
"I am. Though it is impossible to tell between a water burn and a fire burn after initial treatment there is no way for water to burn away her hair. She was always meticulous about her appearance so her coming in with a chop job haircut and the burns on her face can only mean that it was a fire that burned her not water."
Max nodded. "And she also threatened you when you suggested therapy, using the Herran name to keep you quiet?"
"Yes, but I felt that you needed to be made aware even if I am wrong."
Max pondered this with his hands clasped in front of him.
"Thank you for reporting this. Do not tell a single soul. You may go."
"Yes sir." The doctor left, leaving Kaiser alone who then began to unravel the puzzle in front of him.
"The Herran clan has a history of being excellent at handling new Parahumans as well as providing them to our cause and what happened in Winslow might be his trigger event. A pyrokinetic perhaps."
He then pulled up something on his laptop to confirm something and smirked.
"How interesting. Miss Veder's having her niece come live with them for a while and she too has recently gone through something that could have easily made her trigger. When taking into account what I know about Herran's having new triggers work together as a common safety measure due to most single capes don't last that long. From the reports of the jailbreak, she was seen throwing very large rocks which she shouldn't have been able to throw so a brute or a telekinetic. I'm leaning toward the latter as she was easily detained by the guards."
He stood up, opened his right desk drawer removed the shot glass and expensive whiskey from it and once he had a glass he went to look out his window and at the darkened city that would soon be his.
Sip
"Two Blasters would be quite useful for me since we have several Brutes and both seemed to be open to the beliefs of the E88 but I can't be sure yet. This could all be a coincidence and isn't even the first time that a false positive showed up."
Capes were rare as hen's teeth and plenty of people went through trauma all the time and yet didn't get powers so until he had full confirmation he wouldn't reveal his hand.
Sip.
"But to not investigate further would be foolish. I need a way to monitor the situation without drawing any attention while also not alerting anyone else of my suspicions is critical.
Sip.
Max Anders smiled as an idea came to him that would allow him to do everything he desires and nodded.
"Theo is the same age. I'll just have him transfer to Winslow and report to me what he finds."
"And if he manages to trigger hanging around them all the better."
It was a known fact that children of Parahumans had a much easier time gaining powers with the most famous example being Glory Girl of New Wave triggering due to being fouled in a basketball game. If such a trivial thing could do it then the chaos of Winslow, which was the most dangerous high school in the city full of gang members, and the weight of his mission should easily accomplish it and if he played his cards right?
He finished his drink and returned to his desk, greed flashing briefly in his eyes.
Then he would gain 3 Capes instead of 2.
End of Chapter
Author's Note.
FROM THE DEAD I RISE
TO GIFT TO YOU A FANFIC SURPRISE!
It's been a while! Wow, I say that a lot. Any Who, I just finished College for the Semeseter so I actually have time to write again so yeah, here's a new Chapter.
This Chapter is a nice Spring Board for future chapters which includes a time skip focusing on what he does until it is time for him to return to Winslow.
Some Commenters didn't want to have every single Training written which I can understand and so besides the First and other significant milestones, it will all be done off-screen.
Also, I realized that if the ponies if 100% realistic would be actual nightmare fuel so I clarified that they are realistic enough to be real but cartoony enough to still be recognizable. This includes his Imps, Casino, and anything else that come from his powers. A hybrid of reality and whatever style they originated from.
Now, for this chapter, I have to bring up its Namesake in a somewhat preachy manner so blame my College classes for doing this to me.
'The Mistake'
For one of my classes, I read a book for a class called "Talking to Strangers" and that has shifted my understanding of people as well as taught me that the only reason why we see certain things as 'Obvious' is because we are gifted with hindsight. I won't go into it more here but people make mistakes that to us seem obvious but to them at the time? They didn't notice it. Like a Cuban spy in the CIA being TERRIBLE at lying but due to her not being suspected it was written off as nervousness. And it just so happened that Karen Veder made a big one.
Now, we might think. "Duh! She should have cut her hair to a buzz before seeing the Doctor! Or, claim it was normal fire and not boiling water."
But she didn't think that far. How could she? She didn't know that her chopped-up hair would expose her due to the Doctor knowing how meticulous she was with her appearance nor that Water Burns can't burn hair. Between this and welcoming her Niece to stay with her unaware that she was caught on camera during her Trigger managed to draw our favorite not-racist Nazi's gaze and now a new player will enter the game of Winslow.
So the next time you watch a show or read a story where someone makes an obvious Mistake take a moment to understand that you are gifted with Hindsight and knowledge that the Character might lack and give it a chance. (This is not to excuse bad writing however as even lacking certain information doesn't mean that the character has their IQ hit the single digits!)
Enough of that preachy nonsense!
The Stage has been set, The Actors are getting in position and the Dice have been rolled. Let us see how our Quartet interacts with each other?
See you guys next time on Die of Destiny!
