Kasumi is a ninja from Hidden Mist, she left after her adoptive mother, Ayame, was murdered. Kasumi goes off in search of her killers and in the process meets Jiraiya and Naruto. Jiraiya sends her to Hidden Horizon, where she hopes to learn more about her Mother's killers. This is set in the two year window when Naruto is traveling with Jiraiya, before Shipuden.
