So this… thing with the firefighter from the 118… he didn't want it. He wanted nothing to do with it. If he could be on the other side of the world from it, he would have gone there yesterday. If they ignored it, stopped whatever activity fed the thing, Eddie was sure it would just go away. Or, Instead of joining the 118, Eddie winds up in the 124th. Him and Buck end up together.

He hasn't had any relapses for months since he began staying at the Grant-Nash household. There had been a lot of setbacks of course, but he had never relapsed; never added another hideous red line to his arms. Après le procès Buck est enfin de retour auprès de sa famille mais rien n'est plus pareil. Les personnes qu'il considérait comme sa famille pouvaient à peine le regarder, l'homme dont il était tombé amoureux l'ignorai. Il décide qu'il a besoin de temps, peut-être qu'un peu d'espace les aidera enfin a guérir.
