Luz watched as Hunter talked to Willow in the hallway. Recently, he's started going to Hexside. They're still fixing up the Boiling Isles but at least the school's in good enough condition to go inside. She's glad to because she was getting bored not learning witch magic.
Hunter said something. She can't hear anything. She moved a little closer but she still couldn't hear. Willow started laughing. Hunter said something in return, rubbed the back of his neck, and started laughing awkwardly. Then he looked away.
"Amity. Amity, look," Luz said, tugging at Amity's sleeve and pointing at the two talking.
"Okay, they're talking?" Amity said.
"No, watch." Amity and Luz both watched in silence as Willow said something else and made both her and Hunter laugh. Hunter's ears turned red a little at the tips.
"Is he...blushing?" Amity asked.
"Yes he is!" Luz said. "You know what that means?"
"He likes her?" Amity asked.
"Yes! He does!"
"Aw, cute!"
"We have to help him!" Luz said.
"Help him?" Amity checked. "Luz, are you nuts?"
"Why?"
"Helping in love relationships on the Boiling Isles can get very dangerous, especially if you don't know what you're doing!" Amity warned.
"Helping in any love situation in the Human Realm is dangerous too, ya know," Luz said. "But that's not the point. Flapjack isn't there to help him anymore! We need to do something!"
Willow laughed again. Hunter began laughing awkwardly loud and stiff. "See?" Luz said. Willow giggled and waved to Hunter as she walked away. Hunter waved back but nit until after she turned her back. Hunter sighed. His shoulders fell and he returned to his locker.
"Yeah, he likes her but we still shouldn't do anything."
"Can't I at least try?" Luz asked.
"Nothing I can say can stop you, but be warned. Messing with witches love lives can have very dire consequences," Amity said sternly.
"Gotcha," Luz said, walking over to Hunter.
She leaned against a locker next to his. "Sooo, Hunter," she started.
"You might want to get off of that locker," he replied. She stopped leaning on the locker. It opened it's eye and looked at her before going back to sleep. "What is it, Luz?" he asked.
"Do you, like someone?" she asked.
"Me? Like someone?" Hunter began blushing.
"You know what I said," Luz smiled.
"Why do you think that?" Hunter asked.
"I saw you talking to Willow."
"I was just talking to her. It's not like I lie awake at night thinking about her!" Hunter said quickly.
"Mhm, yeah sure," Luz said.
"I-I don't! I just think she's cool! And smart, and brave and-" He stopped as he noticed Luz staring at him, her eyebrows raised.
"What else, Hunter?"
"And-and-and-and-" he kept repeating like a broken record.
"You broke him," Gus said, walking past.
"I'll fix him," Luz said, speaking over Hunter's 'and's.'
"You might want to do it quickly. It's creeping me out," Gus said, continuing down the hallway.
"Okay, Hunter. That's enough," Luz said, tapping him.
"And-and-and-"
Luz waved a hand in front of his face. When he didn't comply, luz flicked his ear. "And-OW! What was that for?" he asked, rubbing his ear.
"You totally like Willow!" Luz said, pointing at him.
"She's just cool, okay?!" Hunter cried, his cheeks and ears turning red.
"Okay, if you say so," Luz sang as she walked away.
The bell screamed for it's last class. Potion's class. Hunter had Potion's class earlier this morning. Luz skipped into the class room.
"Welcome, class," the teacher greeted. "Please take a seat and we'll get started."
"I have a question," Luz said, raising her hand.
"Luz?"
"Can potions be put into other things, like...food for example, and still have the same effect?"
"Yes. The effect usually isn't as strong but it can still work. Why?"
"Eda and I were discussing this morning and I told her I'll ask the teacher."
"Well, you can tell her that it still has effect," the teacher said, smiling.
After class, Luz handed Willow a paper. "Willow? Can you hand this to Hunter? The Potion's class teacher meant to give it to him and I would, but I don't know where to find him."
"Yeah, sure! You can usually find him in the garden!" Willow said, walking away.
"Thank you!" Luz called after her.
Author's Note
I was watching Descendants and this idea came into my head. My sister came up with the story. I'm just building up from it.
