Tommy stood at Gate 86B waiting to board his flight to Miami for the big reunion of past Power Rangers. From what Billy told him he invited all the past rangers, including his former first love, Kimberly.
Kimberly, the girl that stole his heart. The girl that he was supposed to marry, have children with, and grow old with. But he let her go to follow her dreams, her dream of competing in the Pan-Globals. After she landed in Miami, they continued to write, then a month later they grew further apart, and she stopped writing. Then he got the letter, the infamous letter telling him that she found someone else. He went to Jason for answers but he said she wasn't talking to him either. Then in March 1997 the incident with Divatox and Maligore happened, and he noticed that Kim and Jason were really close, even after the karate match. He confronted Jason about that and Jason only told him that Kim would be the one to tell him, when she was able to.
His mind was called to the present as his seating group was called and he boarded the plane. Now he was hoping that Kim would be there so he would get the answers he needs.

After leaving the airport, Tommy took a cab to the beach resort that Billy rented out for the two weeks. With 10 bungalows and 2 villas rented out, he was hoping it would be a first come-first served with the rooming arrangement, but to his dismay, it was assigned, but the catch was you wouldn't know until your roommate arrived who you were rooming with or vice versa.
Tommy was assigned a bungalow, and when he got to it, he saw three pink hard-shelled suitcases sitting by the front door, and angsty women rock music playing. Oh God no, Tommy whispered to himself, it's her! Tommy crossed himself, prayed to the gods above, and walked through the door. Then she came in sight, their eyes met, and she got such a look of horror on her face that she ran out the back door, shouting Billy's name at the top of her lungs. Tommy, trying to overcome his horror of seeing her for the first time in 10 years, shook his head and sat down.
Then 10 minutes later he heard her half pleading, half crying to Billy to change the room arrangement, then he heard Trini's soothing voice trying to calm Kim down and telling her to take her anxiety medication. Kim composed herself, went to the bathroom to take her medication, then came back. Then Billy cleared his throat.
"Tommy, Kim, I can explain..." Billy began but Trini cut him off.
"No, it's me who has to explain. Jason, before he left for his deployment, changed the rooming arrangement so you and Kim would be sharing a bungalow. Otherwise she would've been rooming with Tori," Trini said.
Tommy then got hot in the face.
"Trini, next time you talk to Jason, tell him I'll be waiting for him with a body bag with his name on it when he comes home next year because there is no way in hell I'm going to room with her."
"I can't believe you let him do this, Trini, after all I've been through!" Kim cried.
"I'm sorry Kim, but he did that while I was out and drove to Billy's house and handed the arrangement to him himself. I knew he did it because I could tell it was his handwriting."
"Can't we just switch it back to where it was?" Kim asked.
"I'm sorry Kim but once I turned in the rooming arrangement into the resort, it was set in stone. I'm sorry but if you two want to get rooms elsewhere I'll pay for it," Billy said.
"Billy, I'll take you up on your offer. There's no way I'm staying with him for two weeks," Kim said as she went to call a cab.
"Tommy, can I speak to you for a minute, alone, please?" Trini said.
"Sure," Tommy said, walking out of the bungalow with Trini down to a shady place with a bench.
"I have to be honest with you Tommy, about what Kim's been through the last 10 years and none of it is pretty, okay?"
"Look, Trini..." Tommy began until Trini cut him off.
"You know that fall off the balance beam she had before she left for Florida, when Kat found her?"
"Yeah, I remember that. And?"
"She later found out that she had a slight trauma to the brain, which triggered a chemical imbalance in her brain."
"Please, Trini, cut to the chase."
"The doctors' diagnosed her with paranoid schizophrenia, right after she..."
"After she what, Trini?" Tommy was getting impatient.
"After she gave birth, Tommy. You have a son."
Tommy suddenly felt himself stop breathing, then passed out.
Five minutes later Tommy woke up to Billy and Trini standing over him.
"You're awake. And I thought Kim had the fainting bug." Billy said.
"Yeah...I have a son?" Tommy asked weakly.
"Billy is Kim gone?" Trini asked.
"She left a few minutes ago. She's staying at a hotel in South Beach. She said she'd call Loni to let her know."
"Who's Loni?" Tommy asked.
"Her case manager in Orlando. Let's go to the house to talk. I'll tell you everything," Trini said as she and Billy helped Tommy stand up and walked back to the house.
After getting back to the house Tommy sat down as Trini gave him an ice pack for the back of his head. One final push and he landed into the doctor's arms. After Jason cut the cord the nurse took him into another room and started to dry him off. Then he cried, which triggered something in Kim that brought memories up from her childhood and she started to thrash from side to side, screaming, "they took my baby!", "they took my baby!" Then she got up from the cot and mind you she could hardly walk because she still was numb from the epidural so she crawled really fast to the other room and bit the nurse in her leg. The nurse yelped in pain and almost dropped the baby on the floor. Luckily another nurse grabbed the baby and ran for the nursery. Security was called and they had to put her in a straight jacket and tied restraints across the front of her after they put her on a stretcher. I never seen that look of wild sheer horror on her face before."
"What happened to the baby?" Tommy asked.
"After two days they deemed Kim to be unfit to be a mother due to mental defect so they placed him in foster care before an adoptive family could be found. The court stripped her of her parental rights, and because she couldn't name the father your rights were stripped as well. I was introduced to his adoptive parents before they took him home and they only told me what they were going to name him: Benjamin Noel. No last name, no address. The adoption records were sealed, and they can't be unsealed unless your son, when he's 18, says he wants them unsealed."
"Did you get any pictures of him?" Tommy asked.
"Sadly no. They wouldn't let us take pictures since he was deemed a ward of the state. But the worst part of it was Kim didn't remember what happened and didn't remember she even had a baby. Then a few days after the baby left the hospital she got that diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia and they eventually released her to the state mental hospital for further diagnosis and treatment. We weren't allowed to see her for six months. Then after that she got released to a group home so we got to see her once a month. She was in the acute phase of her illness for three years, then she had a breakthrough with her therapy and was heading into the right direction which was recovery. Then in May of 2000 she had her first relapse...the cops found her wandering away from the group home naked and with cuts up and down her arms. They took her back to the hospital and back to the mental hospital she went...for four months. Then they moved her to Orlando and a monitored living facility which the county runs. Things went well for two years then she relapsed a second time in June of 2003 but wasn't serious enough to be admitted to the mental hospital. Then she had to go to court in order to change her living arrangements. She stayed at that same facility but was moved to a secure household with access to her doctors and therapists."
"How is she now?"
"She's doing better. Four years after she had the baby she learned from us that she did have a baby. I wasn't allowed to tell her where he was or who had him just that she had a little boy and that he's well cared for. Then she's okay."
"So why is she mad at me?"
"She blames you for losing the baby. Don't tell me you didn't get the letter she sent you six years ago?"
"No, I never got a letter from her."
"Then I'll summarize it for you. She wrote to you to tell you that she had a baby four years prior, then she goes into what caused her to go mad which was the emotional and physical abuse she suffered from her father between the ages of 8 to 12. I saw the bruises Tommy they were really bad. There were nights when she begged me to sneak her over to my house after school; she didn't want to go home. When she had to go home she'd run upstairs, lock her door, and hide under her bed, but that didn't stop her father though."
"He didn't...touch her in any way, did he?"
"He tried, but he got caught by either her mother or Jason. That's when her mother noticed the bruises. The next day she turned him in to the police and changed the locks. Two years later, when Kim was 14 her mother filed for divorce."
"What else did the letter say?"
"That she'll never forgive you for her losing the baby and she never wants to see you again. The end."
"Wow, that's harsh. It's not like I gave her herpes or anything. I just gave her a baby, that's all."
"From the look on your face you want us to leave, so we will. See you tomorrow, Tommy." Trini said as she ushered Billy out the door.
Tommy just stared at them.
"Oh, and Tommy, you'll have to face her sooner than later." Trini added as they soon were out of sight.
