Throughout time and space, every world has a chosen duo throughout the multiverse to do the calling of the legendaries when the world falls into chaos. AZ and Floette, Sir Aaron and Lucario, Ash and Pikachu. Whenever the world was in danger they are called to save it with their noble hearts, and answer the call without question, at least usually that's the case.

A young boy with blonde hair dressed in only white walked to a building in the mountains of the Kanto region, where the chosen duo have been for years.

"Ashton Ketchum, I need to talk with you." The boy said, as he walked in.

"If you want a challenge, you need to have all seven other frontier symbols." Ash said, walking up. "And in the past eight years no one else has beaten Brandon but me, and I know that for a fact."

"I'm not here to battle you Ashton, I require your help." The boy said. "Something dangerous is in the Sinnoh region, something far riskier than anything this world has ever seen."

"They said the same thing about Team Galactic, and by the time I got there, they had fizzled themselves out of existence." Ash said with a groan. "Give it a few months and let the local authorities know, you don't need me."

"You're right about Team Galactic, but the entire world does need your help, possibly even more than them." The boy said, as he was enveloped in a bright light as he began to grow, and change into a new shape. "I am the being known as Arceus and if we are to save this world I must request you come with me to Sinnoh in order to stop this threat."

"Arceus, I've heard that name a few times." Ash said, with a bemused smirk. "Why do you need my help though?"

"This being, I've been chasing it for months, my time, and to do so I've had to leave my full powers here." Arceus said. "Unfortunately this being is also after my powers, I cannot stop him at my current strength alone."

"Months your time, how long has it been here?" Ash asked.

Eight years ago

"Congratulations Ash, you've conquered all seven of the battle facilities, and now you're a member of the Battle Frontier Hall of Fame." Scott said, handing Ash a plaque of his frontier symbols as proof of his victory.

"It's a real honor Scott." Ash replied.

"It would be an even bigger honor if you considered becoming one of our Frontier Brains." Scott offered.

"Hmmm." Ash said thinking. "Okay, where do we start."

Back in the present

"Last I left you had just agreed to become a Frontier Brain, I had originally hoped you would have moved on by now, but it is of no concern." Arceus said. "But you usually have assistance in these matters, perhaps you could get some help before we leave?"

"I get It's been a few months for you but it's been eight years since I needed someone else's help. I've been called a Finder of Destiny, Unbeatable, The Best this worlds Ever seen, a Hero, a Believer in a Master Quest, Born to be a Winner, the Best you can Be, a Master of Pokemon, The Very Best." Ash said cockily. "I don't need help from anyone anymore. It doesn't matter what this threat is, any Pokemon ever created, I can beat it."

"But this thing, it's not a Pokemon." Arceus said. "Back when I was made, the real me, my true form, there had to be a balance." Arceus explained, as an image formed for Ash. "There were two being created before the Multiverse, a being of creation and order."

"That would be you." Ash said.

"Yes, and a being of destruction and chaos." Arceus said.

"I've heard of that one, Giratina right?" Ash asked. "Though I heard you had made him along with Dialga and Palkia."

"No, I'm afraid that this being makes Giratina look simple in comparison. When we were created, I sealed that being away in the only spot I could where It wouldn't destroy my work, just outside of reality." Arceus said. "And that was fine until a being known as the Dark One created a new reality with weaker walls than all the others I've created."

"The Dark One?" Ash asked.

"Not our current problem, when the Dark One was defeated a tear in the fabric of reality opened releasing this creature into the Multiverse. I've tried stopping It multiple times but have been unsuccessful, even causing some casualties as a result, I have however managed to close this reality so It is stuck here with us." Arceus said.

"Alright let's find this thing and beat It up and send It back between reality." Ash said, grabbing his belt. "Pikachu, come on, we've got a job to do."

"So there's a chance I won't make it back." Ark said.

"Those casualties were not aware of the danger present at that time, you however are and I will use my limited powers to protect you." Arceus assured.

"Alright, lets go get him, where is It?" Ash asked.

"It's not that easy, we need to find my plates, with them we have a chance at stopping It together." Arceus said. "When I left they were scattered across the Sinnoh Region, but It will also be after them, in an attempt to gain my powers."

"So does this thing have a name or a type so I know what I'm up against when we see It?" Ash asked.

"I had called It by the moniker MissigNo many eons ago." Arceus said.
