Definitely an understatement.
If it wasn't for the memories that he possesses Subaru would have pitied the sadistic assassin. Satella certainly was holding herself back the whole time and was waiting for that exact moment.
Subaru was surprised by the power the half-elf showcased. He still doesn't know how or why he was summoned into this world. If it wasn't for Satella's magic he would have already been dead.
He just can't have himself be afraid of the half-elf who saved him.
Whatever she did definitely took a toll on her. Subaru went to the half-elf's side to pick her up.

It's weird.
It's very weird.
The great spirit is very confused. Nothing seems to make sense to him, Why does his daughter feel suddenly different? Why did it take him too long to wake up? How was Lia able to do that and why did she seem so angry? Was their contract messed with? Why does seem like he is missing something? who is Subaru and why does Lia act so familiar with him? And why does he feel so sleepy right away?
Something Isn't right.

Just then footsteps were heard…
Everyone looked in the direction of the sound the person revealed himself to be a red-haired guy in armor holding a fancy-looking sword by his side.
"Good evening to you everyone."
"I just happen to be nearby and heard an explosion. I just wanted to check out what the was the cause." The redhead announced.
"Well… the threat has already been dealt-
"Wait.. who are you again!?" Subaru asked.

The half-elf has been in the same void of shadows alone without any knowledge of time.
It has seemed like an eternity at this point floating in a seemingly endless void covered in the shadows of the Witch...
The witch is all she keeps hearing over and over and over and OVER.
Where's Puck when she needed him the most?

Maybe just for that moment the witch's tone noticeably changed. All the possessiveness was replaced with a genuine voice that felt like an entirely different person said it.
Before she could say anything more the hands of shadows devoured her.

Waking up the half-elf felt a little dizzy and tired.
She can't recall much about the events that happened in her dream.
She can't recall anything at all.
Moving around a little, she seems to be in someone's back.
"You're finally awake."
Opening her eyes Subaru was the first thing to greet her vision.
"Subaru." The half-elf said.
"Yep." Subaru replied back.
"Oh.. that's right. Reinhard arrived just a little while ago. He just happened to pass by."
"Reinhard is currently talking to Felt and Oldman Rom in that corner. I think they were shocked.
"Why don't we go get what we first came here for?" Subaru reminded.
"Let's go get your insignia."
"My Insignia?" THe half-elf asked.
Before recalling the recent events that had transpired.
Her insignia, her ticket as a candidate to the throne. The half-elf only nodded in agreement.
She's enjoying the piggyback ride her beloved is giving her.
Resting just a little bit longer the half-elf finally decided to stand up. She never wanted it to end.
The half-elf is having too many mixed feelings at once. She doesn't even know which one is hers.
"Are you sure you can walk already? I mean I wouldn't mind carrying you." Subaru asked.
The offer is tempting her to say YES, she really wanted to, she'd loved it.
She can't, she must control herself. She must… she would want to make him more tired after al-
Shaking her head she tried to focus and and she finally noticed a floating cat on the side.
It's her contracted spirit Puck

"Puck..." The half-elf quietly muttered.
The half-elf only looked emotionlessly at her spirit before proceeding to go in the direction of her thief.
Subaru followed while the great spirit quietly observed before vanishing.
Just as Subaru said The blond-haired thief and the old man were talking with Reinhard.
The half-elf made her presence known and prepared to talk with the two to get her item back.
Though they try to hide it the half-elf's presence left some fear from earlier, and they can't seem to get themselves to look at her in the eye.
"Good evening miss 3m!1! , It appears you had the situation under control. I wished I could have been of help but…" Reinhard greeted. The half-elf didn't understand the name.
"That's alright Reinhard. I however am curious about what's gonna happen to them. I mean I know they did steal something from me.
"Well, I am off duty today. So I didn't really witness anything and I will just proceed doing some patrol." Reinhard replied with a wink.
"I appreciate it.
"I'd like to have what is rightfully mine now." The half-elf stated.
Just like that the blondie quickly went ahead to get the jewelry from her pocket. The half-elf certainly doesn't like this feeling, she doesn't want to be feared by anyone. As long as they leave her and her beloved alone.
"What you did to her… it was scary. But you did save our life I guess. Jjust make sure you to take care of it better so it doesn't get stolen again."
The moment Felt was about to return it to her hands the half-elf noticed the dragon stone glowing and this didn't go unnoticed by the redhead.
"LEt me take a look at that!" Reinhard quickly took hold of Felt.
"Hey! Let me go! Your hurting me! I thought you said I wasn't in trouble." Felt said struggling to remove the knight's grip with no progress.
"How can this be!? May I know your name?"Reinhard asked in disbelief.
"It's Felt…, why?"
"And your family name? How old are you?"
"I don't have anything fancy like a family name… I'm fifteen years old, I think… I don't know my birthday. Now let go of me!" Felt answered while continuing to struggle.
"I'm afraid I cannot keep my promise to you Lady 3m!1! I have no choice but to have her come with me. I hope you understand." Reinhard said to the half-elf before handing her insignia back.
"Now if you excuse me."
Just like that Reinhard left with the blond girl in his arms after using a sleeping spell to to make the giant and Felt unconscious.
With that she can finally spend some time with her beloved ALONE
The half-elf turned towards beloved Subaru who was waiting.
"So… We finally got your insignia back. I'm glad." Subaru said."
"Subaru…" she called her name.
"Yyes? Subaru answered."
"Why is it like this? She feels happy. Very happy. But she can't let it get to her. When it comes to him simply mentioning his name already puts her on the verge of passing out." She needs to do something about this.
"Subaru… You already mentioned that you have nowhere to go right? II- I Why don't you stay at my place then?" The half-elf suggested.
"Well if it's alright with Tella-tan… Sure." Subaru accepted.
Subaru accepts! The half-elf thoughts.
