In the Enchanted World everyone has had their wars and in different ways faced their fears. Now, years after the victory of Cinderella and her friends, new conflicts have arisen along with the need for a great heroine, a person who could fight for the peace of Fairy Tales. But what if this hero has not yet emerged from his own inner chaos? It is difficult to entrust the fate of princes, princesses and magic in her hands.

"Cedric, what are you doing here?"

Rashid looked shocked at his friend who was cleaning himself from the magical dust.

"You don't know how lucky you are to be able to teleport without needing potions." Cedric replied to his friend." Hey, Hades." He greeted the man who didn't understand what was going on.

"How did you...what did you...where did you..."

Rashid was trying to formulate a question that made sense.

"Do I know you? Wait, do you know me?"

Hades, the former god couldn't explain what just happened before his eyes.

"Do you intend to finish any of those questions? Hades, you don't know me, but I know ambrosia gives you bad digestion."

"You arrogant guardian."

Rashid cracked a big smile and hugged his friend tightly.

"I missed you too, rat of Wonders."

"Who are you? Guardian? Guardian of what?" The question was answered when he saw the book in Cedric's arms. "Whoa! You are...Whoa! You're him...the guardian."

"Nice to meet you, I need to talk to Ben and Mal."

"Cedric!" Ben who had come to talk to Rashid also had a big fright when he saw the guardian. "I can't believe it's you! How are you?"

"Good to see you."

"Why the long face?"

"Cedric, do you know what's going on?"

Rashid didn't want to interrupt the conversation, but he had to ask.

"Yes." Taking a deep breath, he confirmed. "Can we talk in private?"

Auradon

Maleficent was searching for answers and the longer they took to come, the more the people around her and the buildings of the kingdom suffered from her spells.

"Maleficent, you called us?"

Evil Queen asked, despite her powers, she feared when Maleficent called her and other villains.

"I need you." The Mistress of Evil never needed anyone. "There is a magic that seems to be far greater than I... we, we, the magic of the gods of Olympus is more powerful than I was aware."

"And what does that matter to us?"

Jafar asked being blindsided by the castle mistress' gaze.

"I recently discovered that there are three arrows that when put together can change time."

"Magic cannot manipulate time or space." Madame Mim warned. "Something like that could destroy someone."

"There's no such spell, right?"

Evil Queen questioned.

"If I may speak, gentlemen villains and ladies villains." The teacher Maleficent brought to attention. "The gods are opposed to mortal magic."

"They hate the magic of mortals."

Red Queen spoke knowing her limits.

"That's why they hid the arrow." Maleficent noted. "Or not, if they put them so close they knew the risk they were taking."

"Maleficent, what is the need for our presence here?"

"Cause chaos, we will cause the most terrible war this magical world has ever experienced."

She said thinking about her plan.

"Not that I don't like the idea, but why do it?"

"I want those arrows."

"What's it to us?"

Cruella questioned not interested.

"Let's give the gods real reason to hate us."

"Why inflame their anger?"

"Do we need reasons to destroy?"

"We will do that, but if it somehow harms us..."

"Are you sure you want to threaten me Cruella?"

The look paralyzed Carlos' mother who sat in silence.

"What do you want to talk about?"

Ben led Cedric away from the crowd.

"How are you? How has life been away from the castle walls?"

"Have you seen everything? You have a crystal ball with you, don't you?"

"Being a guardian has its perks, so to speak. It's been quite a change of life, is everything all right?"

"I think so."

He smiled shyly.

"You think?"

Laughing he picked up a loose page that was in the book.

"Her fears created a barrier that prevented her from living her freedom and true love. The heroes in books seemed encouraging and sometimes he decided to be like them, but real life was much harder. When he saw what the world would give him, he feared he would be the beast he wanted to avoid. His barrier was stronger than he thought."

"Will I be able to read that book one day?"

He still felt intrigued by the object that knew his past and future.

"You've grown, Ben, you've become brave, able to make your own decisions and that goes further than confronting your father, although it was a big step."

"Yelling at my dad was a big step?"

"Of course, a scared boy would never have the courage to fight for his love."

"She changed me Cedric, Mal turned me into someone else." He admitted what he knew. "When I see her fighting I know I have to do the same. I don't want to be a prince, king or a leader anymore, if life gives me just her then it will be the best life I can imagine."

"About that, there's a funny thing."

He laughed not wanting to break the bad news.

"What?"

"Ben, people have fates, and as much as the two of you have a great love, true love for that matter, you have a unique fate."

"Let me guess, reign over Auradon?"

"Looking at it like that, it seems like a terrible thing."

"Because it is, the people this book wants me to rule over are the same ones that almost killed my father."

"No, the Auradon you're going to rule goes far beyond that. Ben, look at that." He pointed beyond the barrier. "They are kingdoms, each with their own specifics and a limitless world of magic. Wonderland, Neverland, New Orleans and that's the kingdoms nearby, imagine the ones that aren't part of the alliance. You were called to be king, Benjamin."

"Cool, pretty cool."

He couldn't get excited about the news.

"I want to give you a present, may I?"

"Sure..."

Cedric left Ben and went to find Mal who was also caught up in her thoughts.

"Is violet hair the same thing as purple hair?"

"Cedric!" She hugged the guardian who changed her life. "What is it doing here? What is this doing here?" I ask looking at the book.

"Where I go, it goes. How are you little Maleficent?"

"I prefer Mal, you know that and I'm fine, just fine."

"I know you are." He smiled watching his heroine. "You are going to make a great sacrifice."

"You know? Oh, right."

"No, it wasn't the book this time. Like I said, he hasn't been writing for a while. What I've got here are just pages left over from last year's edition, if I can put it that way."

"Can you explain something to me? Rashid and my dad said that before this book existed there was another one where Ben and I were too, is that true?"

"Yes, that book existed."

"But why not write another couple? Other people better than us?"

"Because of the world and its chaos." He replied laughing. "Let me show you something." Using one of his few powers he picked up a pen and started drawing in the book.

"Why are you drawing me?"

She recognized his features.

"It's not you, it's your mother." He explained, and continued to draw the moving picture on the magic sheet. "Maleficent at the age of sixteen was a dreamy fairy. She wanted to be a fairy godmother, but that was taken away from her." He drew the day she transformed into a dragon and set Fairyland on fire. "The story is not the happiest, however, it has been changed." He drew four fairies, Helena, Fauna, Flora and Primavera taking the hidden book. "People met the villain Maleficent, but that's not what the book wrote."

"It's very beautiful your drawings, but what does that have to do with my question?"

"The first tale was destroyed and that shouldn't happen, likewise the story of Maleficent. The world has been in chaos ever since. Too gray for a world that has always been very colorful, it needed a heroine."

"Which in this case is me?"

"The book got its revenge, if you want to think of it that way, Maleficent wasn't a villain and neither was Hades, besides, what I think is what most motivated the choice of you and Ben, was true love. True love has always been the fuel of the Book."

"Cedric, I swear I try to understand, but it doesn't make sense. Why did I suffer for a story that is not mine."

"Who says it isn't? Tale as old as time, true as it can be."

"What?"

"Tale as old as time, true as it can be." The faded story comes before the tale of Maleficent, you know that, right?"

"A great heroine, huh? If I don't want to be her?"

"I had a very similar conversation with your boyfriend. Mal, you've always been a heroine, you've overcome loneliness, fear, life on the Island and fought to be with Ben. The difference is that the battle has grown in magnitude."

"You talk as if I really am that person."

"If you'll allow it."

He opened his book to the desired page.

"She raised the sword as if she had been doing this for decades. The sword's sharpness seemed to cut through in a single stroke and Mal had power not only to fight with a sword. Her eyes, green eyes that glowed and overflowed with magic. "

"Is that me?"

She questioned startled.

"That's you, Mal."

"When I... you know, how will the story continue?"

She didn't ask herself about that, because it wasn't her place, however, now she could add that question to the list.

"Leave that to time."

"What about Ben?"

"You want to know about you two? Well, fates can't be broken."

He told her what he could say for sure.

"Thanks, I guess."

She could make the greatest of speeches. Nothing would calm her down.

"Can I show you something? I shouldn't, but I don't mind. I found this days ago."

He handed her a worn and too old piece of paper.

"That's..."

Mal was not easily surprised, but, this changed his dark thoughts.

"You and Ben? Yes."

"When?" She asked excitedly. "Who wrote it? The book?"

"Yes, when Ruby started destroying it that was one of the pages that was torn out."

"That happened?"

"No."

"Is it going to happen?"

"I don't know, but did you read what's on the back?"

"Maly, I hope to see you as soon as possible, may it be in the Underworld or in Olympus. Wherever it is, I will find you. No matter where I go, my place will always be by your side."

Benjamin.

"Why are you showing me this? Do you want to make me worse? More miserable?"
