Disclaimer: I do not own Jimmy Neutron/Planet Sheen

Chapter 2

It was the week after their high school graduation. The three amigops have graduated from Retroville High and were preparing to have an eventful summer before the start of their first semester of their college lives. Jimmy had a full ride scholarship to the Pomona School of Advanced Physics. Carl had managed to get into a Zoology program at the local university that will allow him to focus on studying llamas. While Sheen had gotten accepted to Retroville Community College to please his family he was also sending out head shots to modeling agencies. Over the years each of the boys have developed physically. Jimmy finally getting a growth spurt and was almost as tall as his father. Carl while taller than when he was in elementary school was now the shortest of their group and Sheen was still the tallest out of them all. They may have changed physically but the bond of their friendship has not, if anything only getting stronger over time.

The group of friends where all in Jimmy's lab to take part in another adventure.

"Gentlemen I introduce you to The Mach X " said Jimmy.

"It's nice Jimmy but what's wrong with the ships you already have" asked Sheen.

"While the Astro car and Strato XL have served us well over the years of our many adventures it gets pretty time consuming making the necessary repairs to keep them functional. So I have decided to invent a new one when needed" Jimmy answered.

"That makes sense Jim but it looks like its going to be a tight fit for all of us to get into" said Carl.

"It's only a prototype Carl. I've incorporated the 'I can't believe its not oil 9000' as the fuel system for the ship to run on so that our travels will be more environmentally friendly and practically a never ending power source. Once I get it tested and evaluate the performance of the engine I will expand the size to accommodate the three of us. Which is why I called you two here. I need a brave soul to take it out on a test drive."

"Ah gee Jim I would but I just ate and you know what they say you should wait at least 2 hours before riding an experimental rocket" said Carl.

"Carl no body says that" Sheen exclaimed. "Don't worry Jimmy I'll test it for ya."

"Thanks Sheen" said Jimmy.

While Sheen was getting inside the rocket Carl turned towards Jimmy "Hey Jim are you sure it's a good idea for Sheen taking your ship out?"

"Don't worry Carl the rocket will be on autopilot. While Sheen is up in the air I will be able to monitor his movement and command everything here in the lab. Besides it'll take Sheen's mind of Libby for a while."

"Yeah he's been pretty upset lately"

Libby had been accepted into The University of North Texas College of Music. While the distance between the school and Retroville was an hour and half drive Libby had thought it was best for her and Sheen to give each other space. Sheen had tried to convince her that their love was strong and that they could survive anything. However, in the end it fell on deaf ears and broken hearts.

"All right Jimmy I'm ready" said Sheen as he strapped himself into the ship.

"Excellent now prepare to be launched Sheen" said Jimmy.

"Batteries to power" said Jimmy.

"Oh wait Jimmy can I say it" said Sheen excitedly.

"Sure" said Jimmy.

"Batteries to power, turbines to speed and kick it homey" said Sheen.

"Sheen" said Jimmy.

"Alright lift off" said Sheen.

The rocket's engines begin to ignite, and a deafening roar fills the air. The rocket slowly begins to lift off the launch pad, shaking and vibrating as it gains momentum. As it ascends higher into the sky, the flames from the engines grow brighter, and the rocket starts to pick up speed. The intense force of the engines causes a plume of smoke and fire to trail behind the rocket, creating a spectacular sight for onlookers.

As the rocket climbs higher and higher, the force of gravity begins to diminish, and the rocket starts to leave the Earth's atmosphere. The engines continue to propel the rocket upwards, and the speed increases even further.

As Sheen was out in the atmosphere something unexpected happened a wormhole appeared.

" Ah Jimmy we have a problem here" said Sheen into the radio transmitter.

"What's wrong Sheen" asked Jimmy.

"There's this flashing cloud that just came out of nowhere here" said Sheen.

"That's strange the radar isn't pick.." as Jimmy was talking the computer started to beep and flashing lights appeared on screen.

"Oh no Sheen your heading towards a wormhole!"

"Jimmy do something" exclaimed Carl.

"I'm stuck on autopilot I can't turn this thing around" said Sheen as he tried to turn the wheel of the rocket and pressing numerous buttons at the same time.

"Hold on Sheen let me try to redirect the rocket away from the wormhole" said Jimmy as he tried to remain calm and save his friend.

As Jimmy tried to navigate the ship around it was too late. The gravitational pull of the wormhole was too strong and captured the rocket. Sheen flew into the wormhole and he was whisked away into the unknown.
