Chapter 6: She's Missing

A/N: Thanks for all those hits you gave me last week. Sorry it took this long to upload, but in exchange, we have a long final chapter. I hope you like it. :D

*Boston, Massachusetts- Hanna and Caleb's apartment- November 24th, 2022- 9:45 A.M.*

*Normal POV*

Hanna was sitting in front of a drawing board desk, sketching what seemed like an early version of a dress—at the same time, listening to a song in her earphone, one of her favorite songs, The End by Sture Zetterberg.

"Han?... Han babe... are you here?" Caleb called from downstairs, searching for his wife.

Hanna quickly removed her left earphone to listen to her husband's calls. "I'm upstairs!" she shouted to make sure Caleb heard.

"Come downstairs. Let's have breakfast," Caleb shouted back.

"I'll be right there," Hanna answered. After finishing some sketch strokes, she stood up, slid her feet on her pink stuffed bedroom slippers, and walked down the stairs.

"Good morning," she said, kissing Caleb's left cheek, who was making breakfast for both of them.

"How long have you been up?" He asked, concerned.

"Six in the morning," she said like it was no big deal. Caleb quickly turned, moving his glare from the eggs to face her.

"Han..." He started but was cut off by Hanna: "I know I shouldn't be doing that, but I woke up with a great idea for a new design, and I couldn't just let it go." she said, justifying her decision.

"But still, it can be bad for your health... and the baby's health," Caleb said, placing a hand on Hanna's pregnant belly.

By this time, Hanna only had a week of being pregnant. And since it was their first time doing this, Caleb was overprotective of her. Although, she didn't hate the affection.

"I know... Do you forgive me?" She asked with a sad puppy face.

"Of course, I forgive you," Caleb said, chuckling and hugging her wife gently. Embrace which Hanna corresponded.

After hugging for a couple of seconds, they were interrupted by Caleb's phone ringtone. "Sorry," he said, breaking the embrace and taking his phone out of his pocket.

"It's Toby," he said, confused, looking at the contact name on the phone's screen. "Answer it," Hanna quickly said.

He then answered the phone without hesitation. "Hi, Toby, what 'sup man?" he said. Hanna then sat at the table, waiting for Caleb to finish talking with Toby.

After hearing Toby's words, Caleb's expression changed from a smirk to a surprised and unbelieving glare by hearing his old friend's. "What?!" he shouted over the phone. Seeing this, Hanna mouthed: 'What's wrong?' but Caleb didn't notice.

*Scene Shift- New York- Ezra and Aria's apartment- 9:50 A.M.*

"Yeah, I know the book tour was supposed to be four days ago," Aria said, talking over the phone to the Editorial. "But as I told you then, the final chapter isn't ready yet," Aria said while hopping with one leg, trying to put a flat, black, left shoe on.

"Hey, babe, have you seen my other black shoe?" Aria shouted, asking her husband, covering the phone transmitter.

"I think it is under the bed," Ezra answered.

Consequently, Aria crouched down, searching for the shoe, finding it with no big problem. "I suppose we will need one more week to finish," Aria said, still speaking to the Editorial. "Yeah, I know it's a lot of time, but we are also not working today," Aria said, answering the woman's complaints.

"What do you mean with -why aren't we working today?" Aria started. "It's Thanksgiving. We'll spend time with our families, not writing on a laptop all day." Aria said, getting a little angry with the woman over the phone.

"Yeah... I'll talk to you next week," Aria said before ending the call.

"Oh my god! Will they ever let us do our job alone?" Aria said, annoyed, walking downstairs and heading to the kitchen.

"Ha, ha, ha, but we did miss the deadline," Ezra said, chuckling loudly at Aria's behavior.

"I'll give you that one," Aria said, understanding Ezra's point. "At least they understood that we wanted to have this day free," Aria said

"That's because you almost threatened to kill them," Ezra said sarcastically.

"Ha, ha, very funny," Aria said sarcastically, embracing her husband from behind. "What are you making?" Aria said, looking over Ezra's shoulder at the frying pan.

"French toasts," Ezra answered. "Smells delicious!" Aria said.

Their lovey-dovey scene was interrupted by Aria's ringtone. She then broke the hug and went to the table to get it. She lifted it and was surprised to see the contact name on the phone. "Toby?" she said, almost whispering. Hearing the ring of her phone again, she answered.

"Toby, what happened? Is everything okay?" Aria asked, preoccupied. Hearing what Toby said, Aria's eyes widened in shock, and dropping her phone, a loud crash resonated on the floor.

*Scene Shift- Philly, Pennsylvania- Emily & Alison's house 10:00 A.M.*

"Mummy!" Grace yelled, calling for her moms.

"I'll go," Emily said to Alison, settling down the knife she held on the kitchen counter and leaving to the stairs where her daughter's yells were coming from.

"What happened, Gracie?" Emily asked, worried, seeing her daughter's face covered in tears.

"Lily hit her face... She's bleeding," Grace said, her voice breaking and trying to wipe away her tears.

"Oh my gosh!" Emily cried while she climbed the stairs and headed to Grace & Lily's room.

"Are you okay?!" Emily asked as she entered the room and saw Lily crying loudly. Emily suddenly felt relieved, seeing she had only a little scratch on her forehead.

"Mummy!" Lily cried, hugging her mom's legs.

"It's okay, baby. It's just a scratch. We'll get you a band-aid, and you'll feel much better." Emily said, comforting her daughter.

"You pwomise?" Lily asked with such a cute tone it made Emily's heart melt.

"I pwomise," she said, imitating her daughter's voice, which made Lily giggle softly. Emily then grabbed her hand and led her downstairs to get a band-aid from the medical kit in the kitchen. After they walked down the stairs, Emily commanded her daughter to wait in the living room while she went to the kitchen to get the bandage.

"What happened?" Alison asked, seeing that her wife was back.

"Lily hurt her head," Emily said as she looked in the cabinets for the med kit.

"What?!" Alison shouted. Emily quickly turned and placed her hands on Alison's shoulders, trying to ease her down.

"It's okay." Emily started. "It's just a scratch. She only needs a Band-Aid," Emily said, trying to calm Alison down.

"Oh my god... Don't scare me like that!" Alison claimed.

"Sorry," Emily said, chuckling at Alison's reaction.

"Ah! Here they are!" Emily said since she had found the band-aids package. She then went back to the living room to heal her daughter.

"This is gonna hurt a little, okay?" Emily said as she applied some alcohol to a piece of cotton to clean her daughter's wound.

"Ah!" Lily moaned as burning began to get in the wound. At the same time, the house phone rang as someone called.

"It's okay, Lily. It will just take a moment." Emily said. "Alison, can you answer that? I'm busy here." She shouted, asking her to answer the call.

"Sure," Alison shouted back as she picked up the kitchen's wall phone.

"Hello?" Alison said, calling the person over the phone.

"Hi, Alison? It's Toby calling." Toby said with a grim and sad voice.

"Toby... What happened?" Alison said, concerned about Toby's tone.

Toby's lips trembled with fear of saying the sentence. Although he had already said that phrase many times in the day, it didn't make it easier. After a moment of silence, he finally gathered enough strength to say it out loud.

"Spencer's Missing..." When those words left his lips, he felt his heart sink deep into his chest.

*9:45 -10:15 A.M.*

"What!" Caleb, Alison, and Aria yelled over the phone. This last one after picking her phone off the ground.

"Lieutenant Tanner wants to talk to all of you this night at Rosewood," Toby said with the same grim voice.

"What?" Aria asked, still in shock.

"Why?" Caleb claimed over the phone.

"She thinks we have something to do with it. Doesn't she?" Alison asked with annoyance."

"You were the last people to see her." Toby started. "It all happened that night you had the party," Toby said.

"I'll see you all tonight at the station," Toby said, ending the call.

*Somewhere- November 25th - 12 hrs after- 12:45 A.M.*

At Rosewood abandoned highway's left side lays a crashed car with its lights still on, the front door wide open, and a body resting its head on the car's dashboard.

*Spencer's POV*

It's been four days of agonized suffering and pain. The bullet wound on my leg hasn't stopped bleeding, although I tried my best pressuring it. The car crash made the windshield burst into pieces, which gave me a severe cut on my head, and since I had both of my hands on my leg, I used the car's dashboard to inflict pressure on the wound.

I can understand why none of the girls didn't even notice I was gone since they don't live here anymore, and Alison doesn't give a crap about what happens to me anymore. But... But I hoped Toby did notice... Maybe It is my fault... I've been pushing him back to keep my secret... Should I have told him the moment 'A' wrote me again?...

"Aahh!" She moans hard as her leg pain increases. Instantly rivers of tears start flowing down her face.

Please make it stop... Make the pain stop... Oh fuck... my vision is getting dark... I can't see... No... no... I have to fight... b-but I-I'm tired... I... d..d-don't... have... strength... left. I only want to rest a little... let my conscience drift away... Is this the end?

As she loses strength, her hands stop pressuring the wound. Instantly a river of blood starts to flow down her leg into the driver's seat and then into the street, leaving a minimum of three litters of red liquid on the driveway, declaring Spencer Hastings Dead, Friday, November 25th of 2022, at 0:46 hrs.
