A/N: Get ready to rage.
Chapter Warning(s): The last bit of this chapter has themes of sexual battery (non-con).
Previously on Destruction. . .
There were rare instances where the opposite gender attempted to come out with a claim that a female assaulted them. The females brought to court were simply given a slap on the wrist while the males were given a life sentence. Talk about equality. There was none.
All of this gave the model an ultimatum. To stay quiet about it even though these officials had an idea about what happened to him. Lila seemed to have the whole world with her. He had no one.
Sabrina wasn't too fond of those who called themselves investigators of the continent. She furrowed her eyebrows as she thought to herself, 'Is the word I'm looking for fond or am I just nervous?' It could've been both. Being questioned was something she wasn't looking forward to.
She knew she wasn't going to be the last student to be questioned. But going second to last or even last was daunting. The redhead bit her lower lip.
Chloe had come back to the class and her eyes indicated that she had been crying. Her former crush, Adrien, appeared uncomfortable.
Sabrina glanced at the other students. 'Why do all the boys in my classroom look uncomfortable?'
Alya looked like she was about to punch a wall.
The redhead made a choice not to look behind her. If she did, she really didn't want to have the entire class get lectured because of her. She continued to bite her lower lip until a soft knock was heard on the classroom door.
"Come in," the teacher said.
In walked one of those investigators. This time, it was the woman.
The first thing Sabrina noticed was how bold her eyes were. This investigator has chartreuse-colored eyes. A fascinating mix of green and a swirl of brown. She seemed pale, but perhaps that was just her natural skin color. Then, there was her black hair that contained strands of silver.
"Sabrina Raincomprix." her voice was soft. Her head tilted towards the door. "Bring your belongings if it makes you comfortable. I'll be waiting outside the classroom." She headed out.
So, Sabrina gathered her belongings. Then stood up from her shared desk with Chloe and headed out. As she left the classroom, she felt eyes on her. Those eyes had death glares that followed. She had an idea of where those glares were coming from, but she didn't want to look over to confirm it.
As the classroom door closed behind them both, Sabrina held a determined look on her face. "I didn't catch your name when you and your partner first introduced yourselves in my homeroom."
"You can call me Mrs. Blackmire if you wish or Investigator Blackmire. My partner's name is Mr. Crow or Investigator Crow. It is whatever makes you comfortable."
Sabrina nodded her head. "I have an idea of what this is all about. Can I ask what it is now to cure my curiosity?"
Investigator Blackmire looked straight ahead, "I'd rather not say out loud. We're almost at the classroom where we're conducting our questioning. It's for the sake of your privacy and safety."
"I understand."
It wasn't a long walk. It was across the courtyard. And at least there wasn't the need to go up the stairs.
Boackmire opened the door for Sabrina.
"Thanks," she said quietly. The redhead stepped inside the room.
She looked to her right to see a male who looked about the age of the school principal. This man had deep brown eyes with golden flecks. Hair that started graying from the roots and into his dark hair. He appeared of Asian origin.
Sabrina took a seat across from him and she put her things right beside her.
Blackmire sat next to her partner.
"Ms. Raincomprix, while we were walking to this classroom, you told me you had an idea of what this is all about. Mind telling me what you think this is all about?"
"Well," Sabrina began. "I believe it's about Marinette."
"You are onto something. However, this is also about another classmate of yours."
"Lila..." the redhead said softly. "I know what she's been doing. It's no excuse for me to stand up to her when she's been typing away at her phone, sending messages like 'go kill yourself'. I've seen her phone out in the open. Yet, I pretend I see nothing out of fear. I wish I could've done something." She lowered her head. The emotions in her body language showed guilt and shame.
Blackmire gave her a sympathetic look. "Let me tell you something that someone very close to me told me not long ago."
Sabrina lifted her head slightly. "What is it?"
"There are two meanings for the word 'fear'. There's forget everything and run and face everything and rise. I don't blame you for refusing to stand up." Investigator Blackmire held herself back from telling Sabrina her opinion of Lila. She was to stay calm and composed. "With your classmates who know Lila's real self, we can stand together in numbers. Know you're not alone."
The redhead with her multi-colored framed glasses felt a little reassured. "Is there anything you want me to do?"
"By yourself, absolutely not. My partner here," Blackmire tilted her head slightly at Crow. "He and I have been taking notes and writing down you and your classmates' responses. I would ask for you to somehow get a hold of Lila's phone, but I'd rather not risk your safety."
"I-I can do that! You have my word!"
"Hold on. As I've said before, several of your classmates know of Lila's persona. Crow and I need to plan. Lula's phone is crucial evidence for the case we're putting together. We will probably ask for your assistance along with several of your knowing classmates to get a hold of that. How does that sound?"
Sabrina's eyes dropped to the table she sat at. Other students were aware of Lila. She didn't feel as guilty as she did before. She also had some curiosity about who those other students were. Maybe she'd find out very soon. It all depended on those investigators. She had a lot of faith in them.
With a confident look on her face, she looked up and nodded her head. "That sounds wonderful."
"Great." Blackmire nudged her partner slightly. "Would you like to escort her back to her class?"
"Certainly." Crow got up from his seat. As he let his thoughts quiet, he shot his partner a look. "Wait, you want me to get Rossi? I thought you wanted to get her."
"We both have anger to control around her. I thought you'd be a little more composed to go get the girl."
"I apologize for my behavior around Ms. Raincomprix. I know we've established talking to students in Ms. Dupain-Cheng's class is okay if they know, but I didn't realize we were this close to talking to Rossi again."
"It'll all be over soon. If you really can't handle taking Ms. Raincomprix back to her class, then I'm more than happy to do it."
Crow was silent for a moment. "I can go get Rossi. Follow me when you're ready."
Sabrina thought it wasn't right that two investigators who had long-time unsolved problems with Lila were solving the case. However, she didn't know the severity of what Lila had done in the past.
Once again, the redhead scooped her belongings and followed Crow back to her class. The questioning she just had with the two investigators was less than ten minutes.
Investigator Crow opened the door for Sabrina. And she took her respected seat in the class. "Ms. Lila Rossi, you're next for questioning. Come with me. Bring your belongings if you so desire." Years of practice led him to know to think before acting. He had been reciting certain words and sentences in his mind the next time he laid eyes on that sausage-haired girl.
Lila's reaction switched like a switch. At first, she was seething, and then she smiled innocently. It was sick to watch.
Crow waited outside. He felt bad for the students who suffered at the hands of Lila. He stared at the courtyard with her arms folded across his chest.
"I'm ready when you are, Investigator Crow." her shrill voice hurt his ears.
So, he forced a smile and guided her back to the classroom across the courtyard.
During the walk, there was only silence. An uncomfortable silence for Crow and for Lila, he couldn't exactly tell.
"We're here," Crow said moments later. He opened the door for the girl.
"Thank you," she said too sweetly.
Crow closed the door once she entered along with himself. "You can take a sweet across from my partner and set your things anywhere you'd like."
Lila set her things to her side once she took a seat where she was told to.
Investigator Crow clicked a voice recording device that was hidden within his suit and took his respected seat next to Blackmire.
Her sweet demeanor dropped once everyone was settled. "It's nice to see you both again. Too bad I'm too slippery for you to catch."
Blackmire's hands were clasped together on the table in a larger fist-like way. "Your classmate Marinette attempted to take her own life. Happen to know why?"
There was a soft sigh that came from the conniving girl. "It's so pathetic to see her classmates fawn over her when they should be fawning over me. There's nothing wrong with standing up for yourself against a bully. She was the one who threatened me to take my own life. She was the one who threatened me about not having friends if I don't stop lying. Everyone here is just stupid."
"What evidence do you have to prove Marinette threatened you?" Crow questioned
"Loads of texts."
"I doubt you'd show us when we don't believe a single word that comes out of your mouth."
"That's right." The green eyes girl placed both of her hands underneath her chin and leaned forward. "How are you going to twist the story up to make me out to the bad guy you guys want to lock away so badly? I did both of you a favor by getting rid of your problem children."
It was clear from day one when both of them had met Lila at different times that she was a mastermind of manipulation. Those who saw through it were just going to hurt their loved ones more and more. They learned the hard way that they couldn't make their loved ones, friends, etc see the shit she was spewing. It'd have to be on their own accord.
Blackmire and Crow ignored her words and continued on with the questioning.
"Why Marinette?"
"She was a goody two shoes like your daughter, Nebula. Don't you remember? She was always calling out my lies until I shut her down." she chuckled slightly. "I'm not sure why Marinette didn't just die when she jumped from the school building. How dare she take the attention I worked so hard on and push it all on herself. She's so selfish trying to take her own life. Though, I think if she actually succeeded, well, that's one less problem for me."
"Are you even aware of the words coming out of your mouth right now?"
"Are you even aware?" she mocked Crow. "It doesn't matter what I'm saying. As long as I have diplomatic immunity, you can't do anything. Oh well." With that, Lila left of her own accord.
.
It was just a couple of words Lila needed to spew to get what she wanted. To silence the boys, she always resorted to taking a piece of them to get away with her actions. After all, it was only the men who stayed silent. If they spoke out about it, they'd be accused of lying. It was deliciously fun to watch them struggle.
"Oh Nino," she sobbed into her hands. "Alya is so lucky to have you, but why do you still stand up for Marinette when she's been bullying me non-stop? How could you stand up for someone like that?"
"Because she's my friend and I'm starting to doubt you."
"Doubt me?" she asked through fake sobs. "What have I done that's caused you to doubt me?"
"I've started looking into the stories you've been telling me and my classmates. Jagged Stone doesn't have a kitten, nor has he written a song about you. I don't think you even know the celebrities you claim to know. You're leading my girlfriend on. You're leading my friends on and I have a feeling you're hurting Marinette too."
She looked up from her hands and glared at him. "Now, Nino has a brain? How cute." She stood up and pushed her hand on the base of his chest. "It won't do you any good if you go on telling my followers what I've been lying about."
The DJ narrowed his eyes. He didn't appreciate being pushed like that and stood his ground. "I don't appreciate you lying to my friends and my girlfriend. I don't appreciate you hurting them either. My girlfriend will believe you when I tell her now." he took out his phone and tapped on Alya's contact. Before he could click the call button on his phone, the girl with him knocked his phone out of his hand.
"Not so fast, lover boy. I won't let you off the hook so easily." She pushed him until his back was against the wall. A sick smile formed across her lips. "Stay still and it won't hurt." She pressed herself against him.
A very uncomfortable look appeared on Nino's face quickly. "Get o-"
"Oh, come on. You know you want me. I've seen your eyes on me when they should have been on your girlfriend." She gave him a seductive look. "Let me guess." she paused for a moment as she looked him up and down. "You haven't had any sex with her, have you? I can help you."
He attempted to push her off, but he couldn't. How was this girl so strong? He didn't want this. "Lila, I'm asking you nicely to get off. I don't want-"
"Of course you. Your little pleas are so heartwarming, but they won't help you. It makes me want to help you more." She turned herself around where her back was against his chest. She grinded herself against him.
He didn't like how his body was reacting to her. He didn't like that this was what Lila was resorting to. He had brought his hands to grip the girl's arm to push her off, his pleas were practically invisible. Everything was a blur once she unzipped his jeans.
Nino was brought back to reality after what felt like forever when that wretched girl touched the side of his face.
"Stay quiet." she waved her phone at him. A rather visual picture of him and her doing the bad things his mind blurred out was on her phone. "If you don't, I'll send this picture to your girlfriend. I'll ruin your life like I ruined Marinette's life."
