Chapter 20: Human and Fishman Teamwork
Back at the battle where Gajeel defeated Bloodman only to be dragged into a portal, Lily and Levy mourn over his loss just as Jimbei and Zoro arrived.
"Gajeel...no...no...no..."
Lily eventually let go of Levy and didn't say a word.
Jimbei lowered his head in respect of Gajeel. "Friend...I'll never forget what you did for my home." He clearly didn't want to believe Gajeel was gone for good, but, it seems that was the reality.
Zoro gritted his teeth and stabbed one of his swords into the ground creating a thud. "Enough with the damn waterworks!" Levy and Lily stopped crying as they glanced at the pirate swordsman. "Do you honestly think that guy is dead?"
This time, Lily gritted his teeth in anger. "We just lost our friend and you're giving us a shouting?!"
Zoro was already getting a headache at this and gave the black exceed a serious look. "Do you lack faith that your friend?" Lily's angered face seemingly soften slightly. "Look, if you know Gajeel than you think you do, perhaps he'll find a way to return."
"That's a big "perhaps"," Levy spoke in a sobbing tone while wiping her tears with her hands.
"Would you be better if I told you he wasn't alive?" Zoro questioned his serious look not even budging.
Levy went silent for a minute and lowered her head. "No..."
Zoro sighed and turned away. "Look, all I'm saying is that you should have faith in your friend, if he's stronger than you think he is, perhaps he'll find a way home."
Jimbei had to agree with some parts of the swordsman's words. "Indeed, either way, we can't stay here mopping, we need to return to Fairy Tail, in the meantime, we need to discuss some things."
Zoro was about to walk until Lily spoke. "Zoro..." The swordsman stopped and turned his head glancing at the black exceed who had a reasonable look on his face. "Thanks for the pep talk, I apologize for my yelling." He then bowed his head in respect. Zoro chuckled a bit. "No need for sorry, but, someone had to speak."
Lily raised his head. "You know, you're quite the wise person, I can see why you're vice-captain of the Straw Hat Pirates despite you have a bad sense of direction,"
Zoro smiled proudly. "Yeah, well-" He instantly faces faulted at the "bad sense of direction" and he turned around fully with a shark teeth expression. "Hey!"
Jimbei laughed at the swordsman's reaction while Levy couldn't help but somewhat giggle and she turned to the direction where Gajeel was previously at. "Gajeel...please...find a way home."
At Hargeon, Gray, Erza, Leone, Wendy, Carla, and Luffy were leaving the town. Gray was carrying Erza on his back. "Talk about going through a tough fight mostly for Erza."
"Indeed, she's been through a lot," Juvia added, suddenly she got all envious. "Gray, why can't you carry me like that?"
"She's nuts as ever," Carla sweatdropped, she realized that the other Straw Hat pirates weren't around. "Luffy, where are your friends?"
The Straw Hat pirate captain turned to her and smiled. "They're getting Franky's robots first and then they'll join up with us later."
"That's right," Sanji appeared out of nowhere. "I normally would want to protect Nami, but, Franky, Usopp, and Chopper will keep an eye on her. If not, I'll kick their butts a million times."
"That sounds painful," Wendy whispered with a sweatdrop.
"Anyway, be sure to give Erza some time to rest once we decide to take a break," Sanji reminded the ice wizard. "If you so much as drop her then I'll kick the crap of your ass."
"Gee, do you have to be so woman crazy!?" Gray retorted with shark teeth.
Luffy laughed at the scene. "They're funny!"
"This is hardly the time to be laughing!" Carla lectured annoyingly.
Leone had a question of her own. "Where is Chelia?"
Wendy had an answer for that. "She's going to stay with her guildmates and continue to protect the town, not to mention that they have the keep an eye on the demon they captured."
"I'm amazed that using those Sea Prism Stones was able to seal their Curse powers," Carla commented. "I never imagine that something like that could do that."
"It's like when we have magic seal stones on us," Gray added.
"Either way, as long as that bastard is handcuffed, he won't be blowing anything up," Sanji stated. "If he does, I'll kick the crap out of him."
"Watch the language!" Carla scolded.
"We almost forgot, where are Thorn, Angela, and Jula?" Wendy questioned.
"They're staying behind to help our allies, they intend to gain the trust of the citizens," Gray answered.
Everyone was a little confused until Gray continued to speak. "I noticed once we arrived home, the citizens were given our friends including the minks uneasy expressions."
Carla had to admit that was true. "I noticed that too, I hope they'll be safe once this war is over."
"Carla..." The white exceed looked at her partner, who looked at her with a confident smile. "They'll be fine, the minks will too, after all, they're part of our family guild. With our support, they'll gain the trust of the people."
Juvia had an idea. "I think we can also introduce them to the princess as well as her father, I'm sure once they meet our new friends and see how they're very kind beings, I'm sure the royal family will support them."
Gray smirked. "That's a good idea, Juvia."
Juvia giggled with a smitten expression. "Oh Gray, thank you for the praise!" She embraced the ice wizard and had pink hearts in her eyes.
"Hey!" Gray exclaimed with an awe expression.
Sanji glared with enviousness. "That lucky ice bastard!"
M
Aquapad cracked his knuckles. "I intend to kick your butts out of here."
Juliet didn't like the Fishman's attitude. "Gee, quite the talk for a brute, those types don't have any manners."
Heine scoffed. "Idiot, forget about the manners, let's just finish this monster and his friends off!"
"If you two are going to kill us, then at least tell your names," Lisanna spoke glaring at the two girls.
The pig-tailed girl giggled. "I'm Juliet."
The blue-haired ponytail girl scoffed. "I'm Heine, we're both members of the Irene Squad and the subordinates of Lady Irene."
"Irene Squad..." Chelsea thought but one thing bothered her. "Is this Irene their squad leader, that must mean..."
Aquapad just grinned. "Doesn't care who you are, we'll show you the power of Fairy Tail."
Lisanna nodded in agreement. "Yes, Chelsea, let's get them!"
Chelsea sighed but had to go along with it. "Right."
Back at the fight between Blue Pegasus, Sabertooth, Fairy Tail, and Alvarez raged on. Joining them in the fight were the guild members of Crime Sorciere and riding their machine the Flying Olympia. Sorano fired several cannon shots at the battlefield where a large number of the enemy was. Multiple explosions occurred when the cannon fire struck their targets. Sorano laughed and cheered at their successful hits. "And that's more out of the way. Let's keep it up!"
Rouge was knocking down some soldiers. "That should show them."
"I wouldn't be so sure" Lector pointed out more soldiers.
"These guys won't let up," Sting stated. "But, regardless we'll keep knocking them down!"
Although that was true, Rogue was a bit concerned about the call they got from Jimbei. "Gajeel...I hope you're safe."
"Something wrong, Rogue?" Lector asked noticing his partner's troubled look.
"Oh, it's nothing, don't worry,"
B
Meanwhile, Chelsea, Lisanna, and Aquapad were fighting against Juliet and Heine of the Irene Squad. Despite Aquapad's inhuman strength, he was hardly doing any damage with his combat skills. "Crap, these chicks are tougher than I thought."
Chelsea was afraid of this, though, what struck her as odd, was that neither girl had an aura. Remembering that the Machina's puppet didn't have an aura and obviously the two girls fighting them didn't have an aura, it's obvious these weren't ordinary girls. "Hey cutie, don't go zoning out on us!" Juliet released more of her mucus covering the former assassin. "Eww...gross."
Lisanna was also drenched in mucus. "Gross, this is disgusting, at least it's not sweat." Recalling a Rakshasa Demon used sweat as a weapon and it was disgusting from what Lubbock mentioned. "Though this was different, it's so hot that it's burning my skin..." She was feeling much pain.
Aquapad realized it was time to bring out the big gun. "Fishman Karate: Shark Brick Fist!" He threw a straight powerful punch and manipulated the water vapor around the air sending the two Irene Squad members in the air and causing them to roll across the field.
"How do you like that?"
The two Irene Squad members slowly stood up looking bruised and battered, though, they just casually brushed off the dirt off their dresses.
"I have to admit, you're quite stronger than I thought," Heine spoke narrowing her eyes.
"Such a creature with brute strength, but, I can tell your little lady friends aren't nothing to brag about," Juliet mocked.
Aquapad wasn't liking that the enemies were mocking his friends but he knew he couldn't waste any time talking back to the enemy. He decided to get some information. "Tell me, what is your reason for your boss and the emperor of Alvarez starting a war?"
Heine gave a "hmph". "Honestly, we don't know Fishman and we don't care either way, we do what our m'lady tells us to do that includes the emperor himself."
Juliet stuck out her tongue. "Yes, but, we can say that our lady Irene the Scarlett Despair shall make your days a nightmare, assuming that you and your friends get the chance to see her."
Chelsea recalled the dangerous auras she felt earlier ago. "The Scarlett Despair...she must be one of the Spriggan Twelve." She had additional thoughts as small drops of sweat went down her cheek. "It's possible she might be close, this isn't good."
Lisanna was having similar thoughts. "Their leader must either close by or watch from afar, so, we'll have to finish this fight quickly." Though the chances of that are quite slim, the two girls have strong magic power.
"Enough talk, let's end their lives," Heine spoke in a dark tone.
Juliet gave a creepy playful expression. "Yes, let's deal with these losers."
Chelsea knew their enemies were strong, despite that Aquapad was her and Lisanna, one mistake and they could end up dead for good. She felt her arms and felt the burning sensation on them.
F
Back then, while Gray and Erza were investigating the Avatar Guild due to Taran's information, Chelsea, Akame, and Leone joined Lamia Scale, Wendy and Carla decided to visit them while Natsu and Lucy went away for a while.
The three former assassins were doing training and doing daily morning exercises. They were only up to their second lap around Margrett Town out of their five. Though, due to Chelsea's unphysical fit, she barely was able to keep up with the two assassins. "Hey, guys can we rest for a minute?"
Chelsea sat down on a wooden bench. "Man, this sucks." She groaned, which bumped her out more was that the others were talking amongst themselves and she was all by herself. A few months passed and she wasn't making much progress. "Thirsty?"
Chelsea looked up and saw Wendy handing her a bottle of water. The older girl graciously accepted the offer. "Thanks, Wendy." She unscrewed the cap and took several gulps but she accidentally took strong ones that she began to cough. "Are you okay?!"
Chelsea coughed a few more times before she regained her composure. "Y-yes, sorry, I drank too fast." She cleared her throat and her muscles felt a little tense, she could see her body wasn't improving even an inch of muscle. This gave her a somber expression. "You guys should just go ahead and leave me behind. I'll catch up..."
This wasn't the first time Wendy noticed her bumped expressions since the assassins joined Lamia Scale and decided to work out together. After speaking with the Lamia Scale's master and talking with the other members, she was told that Chelsea was always fallen behind the others even with the shortened routines. "Is everything alright with you, Chelsea? I was told by the master and others that you've been acting this way for a while now."
Chelsea sighed and looked over at Akame and the others which got the young dragon to look at them too. "It's just...I've noticed the stark difference between me and the rest of you. Akame and Leone can do this with no problem while I'm just struggling to keep up. I'm not as strong or experienced as those two. My specialty was covert assassinations and while I might've racked up as many kills as Akame, she's definitely more used to fighting in front lines that includes Leone." She looked away from the group and looked at the ground. "I doubt I can be ever as strong as them, even with my magic." She turned her attention to her right and opened it to summon a small needle. "
Wendy saw the problem now. Chelsea felt like she won't be able to catch Leone and Akame in terms of strength. Chelsea chose the Needle Magic because it was the closest thing she could use as a weapon as she did use needles to kill her targets. She remembered what Lyon said to her.
"Chelsea uses that Gaea Foundation, right?"
"Yes."
"I heard that transforms her into a replica of the person she chooses, right?"
Wendy nodded her head.
"In that case, perhaps that could be used for magic that is able to copy the opponent's magic,"
After the advice, she decides to give that detail to Chelsea. "Chelsea, I think I have an idea that might help you."
Chelsea looked up at the young dragon slayer. "Really, what is it?"
"Well, first off, you said that you had just as many kills as Akame," Wendy reminded. "It's true that Akame is stronger, but that doesn't mean you have strengths of your own."
Chelsea had a confused expression as she didn't know what Wendy was talking about. "And what would that be?"
The younger girl continued to smile brightly at Chelsea. "Well, take Leone's magic for example. Her Take-Over compliments Lionel. Maybe, you can find a magic that compliments Gaea Foundation." This seemed to perk Chelsea's interest. "You know how your Imperial Arms works I mean stealth and impersonations are your strong points. Try to find a way to make them stronger and who knows, maybe you'll surprise yourself how fast you can catch up with the others when you finally find it."
The idea of finding a magic power that compliments her Imperial Arms sounded interesting and worth trying. Chelsea stood up and started to pat the younger girl on the head. "That's actually a good idea. Thanks for the advice."
"Yeah, but, mostly, you can thank Lyon, he and I along with the others saw a wizard that can use magic powers that I'm referring to." Wendy laughed happily as she was glad to help Chelsea in some way.
F
Chelsea knew it was time to utilize her Imperial Arms Magic. She sneakily took out several smoke balls and tossed them at the two Irene Squad members. "Take this!" Smoke surrounded Juilet and Hein as they both coughed and their eyes were closed.
Chelsea suddenly vanished as she gathered more smoke balls and prepared to toss more.
Lisanna was perplexed at what Chelsea was doing. "Chelsea!"
Aquapad was just as confused as she was. "Quite effective." Chelsea threw more smoke balls, again and again, and she eventually appeared in front of the two. "LISANNA, AQUAPAD, LET'S HEAD TO THE FOREST! WE'LL LOSE THEM IN THERE!" They didn't know what the assassin wanted to do, but, they didn't question so they quickly ran into the forest as the smoke began to clear.
Heine let out a few more coughs before growling angrily. "Do those three think they can get from us that easily!"
Further in the forest, Chelsea, Lisanna, and Aquapad were behind a few trees hiding behind them to camouflage themselves. Lisanna noticed that Chelsea was able to catch up with them so easily and quickly, it reminded her of Jet's speed magic. But that thought had to be put on hold for now since she was confused about what Chelsea had done before. "Why'd you yell out to us about running into the forest?"
Aquapad had to agree. "Yeah, they'll simply just follow us."
"And that's what I'm counting on." Lisanna and Aquapad became more confused now. "Listen up, first, Aquapad, your strength and magic power are something else, more than ours, but, if those girls manage to take us hostage or something, that would give them the advantage."
Lisanna had to admit that was a good point.
Aquapad felt a little embarrassed about forgetting that dirty trick. "I didn't think of that, sorry."
"That aside, their magic is above mine and Lisanna, even though we got them outnumbered, I fear our chances against them are 50-50 percent." Chelsea continued.
Lisanna became slightly worried at Chelsea's last words. "So, you're saying we can't beat them?"
"Does that mean we got to retreat?" Aquapad added.
To their surprise, Chelsea smiled at them. "Not exactly, those two are stronger than me and Lisanna, Aquapad's strength is above them, but, there's more to numbers. In other words, those two look down on us and they view us as weaklings while they view Aquapad as a brute."
Aquapad could almost face fault at the "brute" but Chelsea wasn't done. "So, we'll use their own egos against them and I have just the strategy to beat them, but, I'll need you both to help me with it."
Lisanna recalled how cunning Chelsea is even back when she was part of Night Raid, no doubt, she was when she was part of Oarburgh. "Is that so?"
Aquapad smirked noticing how strategic Chelsea sounded. "Okay, we're listening..." Chelsea began to explain.
Meanwhile, Heine and Juliet were running through the forest trying to catch up. Heine was still mad that their enemies managed to get away. "This is all your fault, Juilet. If you hadn't wasted time standing around, this wouldn't have happened."
Juliet pouted at her teammate. "Oh yeah, like you're one to talk..." They continued to search through the forest. Soon they both sensed magic power coming from up ahead. "Sounds like we got one." Juliet dashed towards where she sensed the magic power which was inside a large bush and out of nowhere came Lisanna. "Breath Dial!" She took out a dial that released a yellow-like gas that really stunk.
The gas surrounded Juilet and what was worse was for her at least is that it was at close-range. "That stinks!"
Heine was dumbfounded until the gas was coming close to her and her scent caught it quickly as she covered her nose while her eyes were shut closed. "Crap...ew...smells like someone farted!" Tears were coming out of her eyes due to the foul odor. "Quickly, let's head up into the trees!"
They did so and as they jumped out of the yellow gas there was a surprise waiting for them. "Surprise!" Aquapad quickly grabbed the two girl's heads and sent them crashing back into the yellow gas.
Aquapad quickly jumped onto a nearby tree branch and fled further from the gas. "You're on, Chelsea!"
From nearby, someone was in one of the branches and took a deep breath. "Fire Dragon's Roar!"
The flaming breath burst into the area which mixed with the gas and...
Juliet and Heine realized what was going on and they saw a spark of flames in the gas and panic quickly overcame them. Juliet screamed in terror while Heine roared in anger at the enemies. "NOOOOOOO!"
"DAMN YOU THREE!" The gas exploded with powerful flames.
When it subsided, all that was left was a destroyed area of the forest and the burnt bodies of Juliet and Heine. The fart gas was gone as well.
A feeling of euphoria washed over Chelsea when she saw her defeated enemies and let out a shaky breath. She felt her legs giving out and would've dropped to the ground until Aquapad caught her by placing his hand on her back. "Up you go."
Chelsea let out an unsteady sigh. "Thanks." She quickly got over her current feeling and managed to stand up straight again. She continued to stare at the remains of the area and their enemy. "I can't believe that actually happened."
Lisanna smiled and giggled. "I can, we used teamwork and it was thanks to your strategy, Chelsea."
Aquapad grinned. "Yeah, speaking of, where did you get that deal with the fart gas?"
The other girl chuckled embarrassedly. "Well, Usopp gave me it, he had one that was stored with...that...you know..."
"How did he put that in the breath dial?" Lisanna asked.
"He didn't..." Lisanna and Aquapad were confused as Chelsea looked more embarrassed than ever. "Luffy did that a while ago sometime after they left Skypiea, Usopp didn't know about the fart gas until he used it and found that Luffy put that kind of gas inside as a prank."
Lisanna was a little baffled. "No way, Luffy did that?" A part of her felt like laughing despite the childish prank.
Aquapad laughed. "Luffy knows how to make a laugh!"
Lisanna decided to ask about Chelsea's newly required magic power. "Question, how did you learn to use your new Imperial Arms Magic?"
Chelsea was happy to answer. "As you know my Imperial Arms, Gaea Foundation allows me to take the appearance of whatever I want. However, the one weakness of it is that whenever I take the appearance of a person, I can't do what that person can do. Gaea Foundation can't do that, but I found something that made up for that. "It's known as Mimic Magic, or rather, Gaea Mimic Magic."
Lisanna recalled of a former Raven Tail member did that. "Yes, I remember from the Grand Magic Games that Kurohebi a former member of Raven Tail used that magic power."
Aquapad was greatly impressed and was star-struck. "That's so cool!"
"Anyway, as you two probably guessed, I have other magic power at my disposal." Chelsea continued. "Which you probably noticed while we were running into the forest."
Lisanna was right after all, the assassin must've used Jet's speed magic earlier. "That's amazing, I assume that you have magic powers at your disposal?"
Chelsea chuckled with her eyes closed. "That's right, but, I can only mimic Caster-Type magic too." She began to walk away. "Anyway, come on, we may've beaten these two, but surely, their squad leader is surely to know of this sooner than later, not to mention other Spriggan Twelve could be lurking somewhere else."
She brought up a good point, Lisanna and Aquapad followed her until they all heard a strange noise. They stopped and turned in the direction where they heard the noise. What they saw was smoke coming out of Juliet's and Heine's bodies. The smoke covered their entire bodies and when it subsided, all that remained were a pair of swords, one was white while the other was black. Chelsea was baffled but realized the feeling she had about the two girls earlier. "Swords, they were just swords all this time? That explains why I couldn't sense their aura, they weren't living beings before."
Aquapad was slightly confused. "How can that be possible?"
"It's just not that." Chelsea and Aquapad looked over at Lisanna. "They were swords that a personality enchanted onto them. Only a strong enchanter can do that."
Chelsea gulped at the last description. "So, this Irene that those two girls spoke of must be an enchanter."
B
Far away from Northeran Fiore. Irene sensed something and slightly shifted away from Acnologia himself. "Heine and Juliet were defeated?"
"You seem distracted."
Irene turned to attention back to Acnologia. "It's nothing to be concerned about." She would like to locate the enemies that defeated her squad and teach them a very painful lesson. However, Acnologia was still in her way so she would have to show him how powerful her magic is.
B
Back at Natsu and the others, Brandish was still not giving up on convincing August to stand down. "Listen...August, Emperor Spriggan is leading us down a path of pure evil. It's genocide and nothing more. No matter what name it goes by, you can't change what it is. This war isn't about some sort of disagreement between two sides, it's plain slaughter." August said nothing back, so Brandish continued to talk and hoped to persuade him. "Among the Twelve, you hold the most wisdom. We're fighting for nothing, that's what awaits us just emptiness."
August had to slightly disagree with Brandish's words. "His Majesty will make the final-"
"Think for yourself!" Brandish knew August was smarter than this. She wouldn't give up as long as she knew there was a chance.
Her outburst did slightly scare Lucy as she hid behind Natsu. "Uhh...you might not want to get too pushy with him."
Despite that, Brandish was dead set on her resolve. "I finally saw things as they are, these people have done nothing to harm us." Lucy was grateful for Brandish's words for them.
August turned his attention to Natsu and the others. He then saw Brook. "What...is..." Seeing the strange gaze that he was giving Brook was enough to make him nervous.
He then looked at Robin and back at Brook for a minute. "Strange, no magic power..." He saw Usagi. "A rabbit...his magic...is a bit different and strong."
Usagi felt slightly nervous but kept his composure.
August turned back his attention to Natsu and noticed something about him. "You..."
Robin quickly noticed the strange look he was giving Natsu.
Natsu glared angrily at August which Lucy didn't like. "Natsu, would you stop giving him the stinkeye, now."
Brandish continued trying to convince August. "Please, all I ask is that you try talking to them."
August let out a soft grunt. "Hrmph. Well, if it means that much to you." He closed his eyes. "But, I'm only doing this because I value your companionship."
Brandish's face beamed with happiness at August's reply. "Oh thank you so much, grandfather!"
August felt slightly confused. "We're companions, not blood relatives."
Brandish just laughed at his response. "Yeah, but, you are like a grandfather to me." Lucy was just happy this tense situation was over and found this moment a little cute though awkward at the same time. Akame sighed in relief as things were going as planned with the negotiation.
Usagi smiled along with Robin and Brook.
While Brandish was happy August would give Natsu and the others a chance, her eyes strangely began to darken. "Grand...pa..." August noticed something was wrong with Brandish as she suddenly pulled out a knife from her coat. What happened was she about to stab August and enlarged the knife.
Usagi noticed this immediately. "Robin, quick!"
Robin crossed her arms. "Tres Fleur!" Two arms held back Brandish's arms and a third arm sprouted from her wrist and took the knife by the blade and tossed it aside.
"What the hell is this?" August demanded.
Lucy was dumbfounded at what was going on. "Usagi, Robin, what's going on?"
Usagi turned in Lucy's direction. "Why don't you ask Mest?"
Natsu turned to Mest and noticed a dark expression on his face. "Alright, you! What the hell were you planning to do!?"
Mest just laughed and smiled. "I implanted a memory inside Brandish a feeling in her mind that she had to kill August." His dark expression faded into frustration as he looked in Usagi's direction. "However, I want to know how did you figure out my plan! But, most importantly, Brook, Robin, were you both in on this too?!"
Usagi narrowed his eyes. "I learned of your magic power from Makarov and I was told you did the same thing back on Tenrou Island during the S-Class Trials."
Robin had her thoughts to share. "Brook and I overheard your conversation with Akame and then Usagi shared with us some details of what he learned about your magic"
Natsu turned his attention to Akame, looking angry. "Akame, did you agree to this plan?"
Akane shook her head. "No, he felt uneasy about this meeting and asked me to-"
Suddenly, the former assassin felt a massive, overwhelming powerful aura that completely enveloped her. It was coming from August and it was much, much stronger than before.
Akame and the others saw August's form change. His body became darker, red lines appeared on his skin, and his hair began to float.
"Hey, what's happening?"
"Wait, it feels like a magic power."
"This can't be good!"
"Now do you understand why we're here Brandish?" August clearly was enraged. "They finally revealed the true depravity of their character!"
Brook only saw one chance to escape. "Solid Scratches Blizzard Slice!" He quickly dashed past the old Spriggan Twelve wizard freezing him with a large block of ice. "This ice won't last long and this is our only window, retreat!"
Natsu and the others didn't waste time. "Everyone, get on Happy now!"
As they were about to, Happy's enlarged size reverted back to his normal size. "Hey, I'm not big anymore."
Lucy realized what had happened and saw Brandish lifting her fingers after she made a snapping sound and she was clearly unhappy with tears in her eyes despite her spaced out condition from Mest's magic. "Brandish..."
August broke free from the ice as Brandish passed out due to the shock. Lucy was worried and started to run towards her.
August glared at Lucy and the rest of Fairy Tail as Natsu jumped to Lucy and held her tightly. "Lucy!"
The next thing they saw was an intensely bright light coming from August. "Melt away!" A colossal pillar of burning light erupted from the entire area they were in and shot up into the sky. Natsu and the others screamed as they were completely enveloped by the attack. August's attack was massive enough to be even seen far away from the guild which surprised Makarvo and the rest of the guild members. "That looks like a huge explosion!"
"It's coming from the east!"
"No...does the mean..."
"That's where Natsu and the others were meeting the enemy."
"I hope they're safe."
There you have it, the teamwork between Aquapad and the two human girls Lisanna and Chelsea was successful. The negotiation with one of the Spriggan Twelve goes up in flames, however, what became of Natsu and the others find out next time.
End of chapter.
