Bilbo starts to have feelings for Thorin during their journey to Erebor and realizes he is in love with Thorin. But Thorin doesn't notice because he thinks Bilbo is just a burden. Bilbo tries to work up the courage to tell Thorin how he feels, but when he overhears Thorin saying he would never date him Bilbo is heartbroken. Kili is in love with Bilbo but is too afraid to tell him.
