Chapter 26: There Goes The Groom
Danny had finally got back to his original age and wanted to stay that way, but right now he had an seething wannabe bride to deal with.
"Gotta make sure that there's enough distance so that thing isn't close enough to me..."He thought, as the unstable ghoul kept trying to change him back to his adult form.
Despite losing the boosted speed, Danny was still fast enough to dodge her desperate attacks to make him old again.
"Stand still!..." Helena exclaimed, as she kept firing.
"Oh sure, stand still, just because you say so?..."Danny said sarcastically, rolling his eyes.
"Man, you suck at socializing, no wonder men don't want you..."He said, as he kept dodging her.
"Take that back!..."Helena shouted.
"Not happening!..."Danny said, sick of this crazy ghost.
He had finally gotten his 14-year-old body back, so he wasn't going to let the desperate witch to make him old again to make him her groom.
"You will be mine!..."Helena yelled, aiming for him.
She started shoot beams at the ghost boy as he kept dodging moved out if the way at the last second. This kept going on for the next few minutes, like she was a hunter with a shotgun shooting at wascally rabbit in a cartoon.
"Your aim is as terrible as your kissing!..."Danny mocked, intentionally striking a nerve.
"You're gonna be sorry for saying that to me once I turn you back into that stud!..."Helena shrieked, losing it.
"Get a grip, you lunatic! I'm 14 years old! Even if I was 24 years old, you're the last person I'd ever choose you as an option!..."Danny shouted.
"You don't get to make any choices! You're gonna be what I want you to be, whether you like it or not!..."Helena shouted.
"How is that fair?!..."Danny exclaimed.
"I don't care if it's fair!..."Helena shouted, before she pulled another dirty trick.
Suddenly, a rocksmaid grabbed Danny from behind, surprising him as Helena fired.
"Got you!..."She shouted.
"Uh oh..."Danny exclaimed, as the blast hit him again.
Helena cheered.
"Finally!..."She said, thinking that she'd have her gorgeous groom now.
However, her joy was short lived once she saw, not a hunk, but an even younger Danny who instead turned into a ten-year-old boy. He was also in his human form for some reason, but that was the least surprising thing right now.
"Oh my gosh?!..."Sam exclaimed, while the others were stunned by what they saw.
"Guys, what happened? This doesn't feel right!..."The younger Danny said, speaking in a high pitch voice.
"Is that Danny?..."Tucker asked in disbelief.
"No, it's Optimus Prime... Yes, it's Danny!..." Danny exclaimed before looking at his hand. "Did I shrink?..."He said, looking upset now.
"Oh man, I wanted him as a kid again, but not like this!..."Jazz said, while the ghostly bride looked annoyed now.
"Stupid antique!..."Helena said with eyes narrowed.
She grabbed the watch and started fiddling with it. She noticed that she accidentally turned the hand backward, and cursed under her breath.
"Ugh, I need to update to digital..."She complained, as she moved the hand.
She turned the hand forward before aiming it at Danny again.
"Get older! I want my hunk back!..."She shouted, firing.
"No!..."Danny shouted as he tried to run.
However, he was hit again, but this time was turned into an old man.
His hair was now black and short, his skin wrinkly, his beard long, and the hazmat hanging loosely on his body, holding a cane with his right hand and holding his back with the left hand.
"Oh, my aching back! And why is it so dagnab bright in here?!..."The old Danny complained as he used the cane to support himself.
"Oh no, this isn't good!..."Jazz said in worry.
"Wow, he is old, like a grandpa..." Tucker said.
"Yes, Tucker, thank you for stating the obvious!..." Sam exclaimed.
"Too old! How do you work this thing? I knew I should have kept the manual!..." Helena exclaimed, as she turned the hand backward a bit before firing again.
It hit Danny once more, aging him down, but as much as Helena wanted. Danny saw his new appearance and groaned when he saw his appearance.
"I'm 12 now?!..."Danny said, before something suddenly appeared on his teeth and he panicked.
"OH NO! NOT THE BRACES! I was suppose to be free from them after I turned 13!..."He shouted in dismay, while his arch-enemy took amusement in his humiliation.
"Oh, this is priceless! Tis the horrible burden of puberty, little badger!..."Vlad laughed, as he held his sides.
"Shut up! It's not funny!..."12 year old Danny shouted, unintentionally speaking in a slight lisp due to the braces and making his enemy laugh even more now.
"The one time I forgot my camera!..."Vlad laughed, watching as Danny was going through the early stages of puberty and getting an idea on how the pocket watch work..
"Not old enough!..."Helena shouted, fuming in irritation.
"Well... close enough, right?..." Tucker asked.
All the females glared at Tucker for lighthearted joke, causing him to shrink back in fear.
"Right...not the time..."He said sheepishly.
"No, it's not!..." Sam exclaimed, as another beam hit Danny again.
Danny was hit again and now looked like he was in his late forties and in his ghost form again. He was now slightly more muscular, the side of his hair blackening, and a black goatee.
"Oh no, there's something on my face..."Danny said, touching his goatee.
His arch-enemy saw his new look and frowned.
"Oh great, now the boy is stealing my look!..."Vlad said while comparing his facial hair with the now new grown-up looking Danny and thinking of how to make his goatee better..
Ember, Helena, and Sam all looked at him and admit that he was still good looking in his current age.
"Okay, he's still handsome in a middle aged kinda way. The goatee is actually kind of sexy too..."Ember admitted, looking at Danny with his new appearance.
She was kinda glad to know how he would grow even more good looking past his prime. At least, until he reached his old age, but even then he didn't look so bad depending on how he'll age and the age of who sees him.
But so far, Ember didn't have a single complaint from what she's seen from Danny's younger and older ages. A small part of her even liked how Danny looked in his golden years, thinking that he had charming granddad look to him, as long as someone made sure that he wouldn't be so frail once he reached that age.
However, Helena did not agreed.
"Handsome or not, I want a YOUNG hunk, not a middle aged one!..."Helena shouted, before pausing in thought.
"Still, I admit, not a bad goatee. Maybe I'll let him grow one after we're married..."She said, as she turned the hand again.
She was about to fire again, but Danny fired at her hand, knocking the watch off her hand. Due to his increased strength, he had the advantage again.
Danny rushed to the pocket watch, grabbed it and threw it to his friends.
"Figure that thing out!..." Danny exclaimed, before he went to distract Helena so she won't summon the watch again.
"Get that watch back! Destroy everyone, except the one in black and white!..." Helena ordered, before she dodged Danny's attacks.
A few moments later
The Rocksmaid and the doves started attacking the group. Jazz, Sam, and Ember fought back while Tucker fiddled with the watch.
The tech-geek examined it, and frowned.
"Ugh.. so ancient... it's analogue..."The tech geek complained.
"Less ageism towards machinery, more actual usefulness!..." Danny shouted, as he avoided a rocksmaid.
"I got it! The hand controls how old or young it makes things!..." Tucker said, as he turned the hand backward.
"Get ready, dude!..." He shouted, aiming at it.
Danny jumped back from Helena and turned to face Tucker, who fired at him. However, the blast was too strong and resulted in Danny being turned into a baby.
He was wearing a onesie, a white cap and even a pacifier that seemed to appear out of nowhere. He was a baby.
"Oops!..." Tucker said, before turning to the shocked girls.
"Way to go, techno-wiz! Next time try reducing him to a fetus!..."Ember said sarcastically, as she gestured to Danny's current age.
"At least he's young again..."Tucker said weakly, while the other's glared at him.
"He's a baby!..."Jazz shouted.
"It's Danny..."Tucker pointed out.
"As a baby!..."Sam yelled.
"He'll grow!..." Tucker shouted back.
When Sam and Jazz glared at him, he relented and fiddled with the watch.
"Fine..."He said, as he tried to figure out what he did wrong.
All the while, the now baby Danny grabbed a discarded rock and put it in his mouth, which caused his older sister to panic.
"Don't put that in your mouth!..." Jazz exclaimed, acting as a scolding sibling.
"Okay, I gotta admit...he's kinda adorable like this..."Ember said, as she smiled a bit.
They weren't the only ones watching, as Vlad was still laughing.
"Hahahahahahaaa! This is too rich!..."Vlad laughed, almost falling.
Baby Danny picked up a random pebble and threw it right into the cackling fruitloop's wide open mouth.
"UGH!..."This caused Vlad to instantly choke on the small rock that got stuck in his throat.
Vlad got on his knees and coughed it out, causing Baby Danny to audibly giggle in a infant fashion at the fruitloop's expanse. His baby-like laughter got a couple of awwws from the girls and even some rockmaids too at seeing the happy baby Danny.
The rockmaids were also very distracted by how very adorable Danny is in his infant age.
Helena, however, wasn't happy about this and wanted her man back.
"TOO YOUNG!..."Helena screamed, directing her rockmaids to Team Phantom.
Jazz came to her brother's defense before turning her attention to Tucker.
"Fix him already!..."She ordered, but one ghost wouldn't let him try.
"Pry it from him! Break his hands if you have to!..."Helena screamed, marching towards Tucker.
Tucker tried to get away from the anger ghost bride wannabe, but was saved when Sam violently body tackled her to the ground.
"Back off, spinster! Danny isn't interested in you!..."Sam said, glaring at her.
However, even the goth could only distract for a few seconds as she was quickly blasted away.
"I AM NOT A SPINSTER! NOW YOU BRATS ARE GONNA PAY!..."Helena shouted, while Tucker continued to run for safety.
"Let's see how you like it!..." Tucker said, as he decided to use the pocket watch on its owner.
"Fool!..." Helena shouted.
Tucker screamed as he saw the ghost lady stomp towards and he started firing beams at her, which she deflected, and accidentally hit him, Jazz, and Tucker.
"Aw man!..." 45-year-old Tucker exclaimed, seeing his pot belly, shorter hair, a beard and thicker glasses. "I got a dad bod? How's that fair!..."He shouted, hating this.
"I actually am kinda okay with this, lets me enjoy parts of my youth I wasted..." 11-year-old Jazz commented, feeling giddy for some reason, a joy she suppressed in her attempt to growing up so fast.
"Wow, me too, I knew my ultra-recyclo vegetarian diet had benefits..." 20-year-old Sam said, her hair longer and silkier, her hands traveling down to her mature body.
"Maybe I can make myself younger..." Tucker said as he fiddled with the pocket watch.
It fired, hitting Sam and turning her into a 5 year old.
"TUCKER!..." She shouted in anger.
"Uh... my bad. Let me fixt that..." He said, switching it to growing old.
"Now t- whoops!..."
It fell out of his hand. Upon impact, it fired a beam at Jazz, turning her into an old woman.
"I'm mature for my age but not like this!..." She shouted in anger, while holding onto a cane that came from nowhere.
"Oh for Pete's sake. Let me do it!..."Ember said, as she used her guitar to blast Helena way.
She then pulled the device from Tucker and pointed to the back.
"Undo!..." She said, pointing to the button on the side.
"Oh... oops..." Tucker went with a sheepish grin, as Sam and Jazz glared at him.
Ember fired the undo beam to the trio, changing them back to normal.
"Uh...thanks..."Jazz said, glad to be back to normal.
Ember said nothing, before turning to the ghostly boy.
"Hold still, Baby pop..."She said, as she then fired several beams at Danny.
This caused him to shift between the different ages he was turned into, which include 30-year-old, a 5-year-old, and 18-year-old and even a 16-year-old at one point.
Ember kept rapidly pressing the button on the pocket watch to switch Danny from multiple ages, until she had him in the right one that he's supposed to be in. She changing him with the watch like a remote to a TV screen, until she suddenly stopped.
"Will you knock it off already?!..." Danny exclaimed.
"Keep your pants on! I'll make you your dorky but cute actual age in a sec!..." Ember exclaimed, as she fired again.
Danny was now back to his 14-year-old self, but was frazzled and wobbling. He swore that he felt some his bone merge and come apart in flashes of seconds from each other, yet still felt numb all other.
He steadied himself before looking at his friends with an uneasy look on his face right now.
"I think one of me peed my pants..."Danny said, eyes darting wildly.
"Oh, thank goodness. He's back to normal..."Jazz said, relieved that he was okay.
"Wait... what did you just say?..." Sam went.
"Dude, seriously? I didn't need to know that..." Tucker went, holding his nose.
"TMI!..."Ember said, grossed out as all of them were disgusted and pulled away by taking one step back.
"Sorry. I don't know if it was baby me or old me...best not get near me..."Danny said, holding his hands out.
"Okay... shower and change first..." Sam went.
"Right..." Danny replied, before also looking to Ember.
"So... thanks. I'd hug you but... one, we're enemies. Two, well.. you know..." Danny said, gesturing to his pants.
"Thanks for the restraint..." Ember responded with a small smile.
"This is weird..." Sam commented, not clarifying if she meant the age changes or Danny being friendly to Ember.
The Pop princess and ghost boy were about to shake hands, until they both heard something that broke the genuine respect filled atmosphere between them.
An enraged Helena stomped her foot, throwing yet another tantrum. All the while, Vlad manages to get the the rock out of his throat and wipe his mouth.
"Was no one even PLANNING on helping me?! I was choking on a rock!..."Vlad shouted, but was ignored as Helena stormed over.
"No! I refuse to wait another 10 years! I will be getting my husband, no matter what!..."Helena shouted, about to recall the pocket watch.
Danny fired at her, stopping her from recalling the watch.
Growling, she summoned more rocksmaids, but Ember sent a shockwave that destroyed them. Growling again, Helena started releasing a barrage of beams, but Danny quickly made a shield to shield everyone.
"Geez, I feel sorry for the guy who'll actually marry her, assuming she gets one..." Danny commented before Helena stopped her assault, taking a breather.
"You giving up yet?..."He taunted.
"No! NEVER! I WILL get myself a husband one way or another!..." Helene exclaimed angrily.
Before she could continue with her assault, she was hit in the back by the Fenton Bazooka.
"Stay away from my little brother, you harpy!..." Jazz said protectively. "He already said no! So I suggest you deal with it!..."She shouted.
"You insolent child!..." Helena snarled. "I never liked kids, let me fix that by turning you into an old maid!..."She shouted.
But before she could attack, Helena was hit with several ecto blasts.
"AHHH!..."She screamed, and crashed into a floating rock.
"Are you sure that you should be attacking the girl who's supposed to be your sister-in-law in your fantasy world?..." Ember said, as she held her guitar.
"It won't matter once I make sure he never sees them again..." Helena said, before a blast hit the back of her head.
Once Helena turned around, she saw that it was none other Danny Phantom in all his youthful glory.
"Get away from my sister!..."He shouted, as he kept sending ice blasts at her.
Sam and Tucker also attacked using some ecto guns of their own against the doves, the rockmaids and the wanna-be bride too.
"Stay away from our friend!..." They yelled in unison.
Ember, not wanting to miss out on the fun, turned some dials on her guitar as she changes it from skull to fist, which lights up as it activates.
"AHHH! You harlot! How dare you get in the way of me finding true love?!..."Helena screamed.
Ember rolled her eyes at that.
"True love? Don't make me laugh. You had this coming for a long time Helena!..."The ghostly diva said, glaring at her.
She then raises her fist, glowing green with energy. She strikes a flaming power chord and soon several ghostly fists came out of the guitar, hitting the harpy relentlessly.
Danny didn't quite know why Ember was still helping them out. He had his suspicions but he wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth at the moment. Right now, they had to take down Helena and then question the pop princess afterwards.
Danny Phantom and Ember McLain stood side by side as they combine the ecto blasts into a machine-gun of ecto energy that is aim and fired straight at Helena.
"Ah crud!..." Helena muttered.
Helena growled in anger as she increased her relentless attacks, making more rocksmaids, trying to separate the group. Slowly, her plan worked the rocksmaid slowly separated the group. Her eyes glowed brightly as she turned the hand to the right amount of time needed, glad that she heard Tucker's explanation.
She then aimed it at Danny, who was busy fighting the rocksmaids.
"After this blast, you're going to be my perfect groom permanently!..." Helena exclaimed, as she fired straight at Danny.
"Not happening!..."Danny shouted.
Ember, seeing the blast, quickly rushed towards the distracted Danny, quickly rushed towards her. Danny, turning his head to see the blast coming at him, tried to move, but he couldn't dodge it in time. Before it could hit him, Ember swung her guitar like a bat and hit the beam before sending it back to Helena, who looked shock as the beam hit her.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!..."Helena screamed, as she tried to avoid it but she was too late.
"That's for what happened with Bryce, you skank!..."Ember shouted, happy that she got some revenge against her.
"Who's Bryce?..."Dannny asked, curious.
"Not the time, Dipstick..."Ember said, annoyed as they watched what became of Helena.
There was a bright flash of light, and suddenly, the rocksmaids crumbled to the ground, surprising everyone.
"What happened?..." Sam asked.
"Uh…I think that she happened..." Tucker said, pointing at Helena.
Everyone looked and they all saw Helena, no longer a young, beautiful woman, but now an old lady, her hair tied to a frizzy bun, a pink shawl over her shoulders, and round glasses.
"What?! No! HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO FIND A HUSBAND NOW?!..." Helena cried, before coughing suddenly.
She quickly turned the hand backward and aimed at herself. She fired, but it didn't do anything.
"No! Why aren't going back to normal?!..."She shouted, looking upset.
"You made the effects permanent, remember?..." Ember said in disbelief. "Which means you're stuck like that until you either find another one or the manual to undo, and that doesn't look like it's happening anytime soon..."She laughed, enjoying the humiliation the harpy was going through.
"Serves you right..."Sam said, smirking.
She would have felt sorry for her, but after everything, she didn't feel anything.
"You know, this is actually a good look for you. Maybe now you'll start to actually grow up a bit..."Danny mocked.
"AHHHHHHH!..."Helena screamed, but coughed again due to her now weaker body.
"Even if I did make him want me and I changed him back to adulthood... I'm even weaker now than ever. This is not fair!..." Helena said in defeat before sighing bitterly.
"Okay... you all win. I'll leave you alone, Danny Phantom..."She said, but she looked bitter and angry about it.
"For real?..." Danny asked, looking hopeful now.
"Yes... this has been more trouble than its worth... besides, this thing's been used so much, it barely has enough energy to de-age me..." She muttered, glaring at it in anger.
"But once I find a way to undo this and return to my beautiful true self...I will find my soulmate!...'She said, still refusing to give up.
Danny just rolled up.
"Noted. Don't care so long as you stay away from me and Amity Park!..."Danny said
Helena began to spew profanities and screech, as she threw yet another one of her tantrums, but due to her now weaker body, she tired herself out.
"Ow...too tired..."Helena said in a weak tone.
"Which means that we are done here..."Danny said, ready to leave.
However, that is when they were reminded of his arch-enemy who made his presence known.
"I'll be taking this!..." Vlad said, suddenly swooping in to grab the pocket watch from Helena's frail grip.
"Hey! That's mine!..."Helena yelled, only to cough again.
Due to her weaker self and reduced power, she can't even summon more minions to help her get it back.
Vlad laughed.
"It's easier than taking candy from a baby..."He said, smirking.
"What are you doing with that thing?!..."Danny demanded.
"Oh, nothing. Just this..."Vlad said, as he fiddled with the device.
Taking their surprise to his advantage, Vlad adjusted the pocket watch before firing at himself.
Vlad opened his eyes, seeing himself slightly shorter and with younger hair. Looking at a window as a makeshift mirror, he grinned at what he was staring at. For some reason, he was in his human form, but he looked the same way that he did when he was in college.
"HA! It worked! I'm young again! Now I'll use this on Maddie to reverse her age and remind what that idiot Jack Fenton did to her... giving us the second chance we deserve!..."He shouted in a dramatic way.
"Not if I have anything to say about it!..." Danny said.
"We'll see what you have to say, once you're back in diapers yet again! PERMANENTLY!..." Vlad said, as he aimed the pocket watch.
To their surprise, nothing happened.
Vlad stared at the object in his hand, moving his arm back and forth several times to see if it will work. Nothing happened. The villain opened the underside, frowning.
"Oh... butter biscuits! I must've drained the battery..." Vlad said.
"So... it's busted?..." Danny asked, looking hopeful right now.
"No. I just need a new crystal to empower it..." Vlad said, as he then turned his attention to Helena.
"You! Direct me to where you claimed this and- Uh... why are you looking at me like that?..."He asked, as the now ancient looking Helena was sending him funny looks now.
To his displeasure, Helena had a huge smile on her face with hands clasped together.
"Ooh.. you're handsome and less creepy looking at this age. I think I like it..." Helena went.
"I'm still the same man you just met. And I have no interest in any woman who isn't Maddie. And even if I did, you are too old for me right now..."Vlad mocked.
Helena was insulted, but did notice something.
"Hmm... true...and the other half ghost still looked way better as an adult to be honest..." Helena went, looking like she was going to change her mind.
She then shrugged.
"Although... I can de-age myself after I get a new battery for it. Granted, I might want to do that first..."She said, ready to leave.
However, someone got an idea.
"I shouldn't...but what the heck?..."Ember said with a sadistic look on her face.
"What are you planning on doing?..."Danny asked.
"Oh...I might have gotten payback on Helena...but Plasmius still owes me from the time he stole from my realm to make one of his stupid experiments...And I think I know a way to get my payback..."Ember said, as she flew in front of Helena.
"Move! It's over now! You and your little friends took my hunk and my youthful beauty away from me!.."She ordered.
"Geez, she's almost as bad as Spectra..."Danny commented, annoyed.
All the while, Ember kept up her antics.
"One, Baby pop and his buddies aren't my friends. This is just a temporary alliance..."Ember said, before smirking.
"And, BTW...thanks to Baby Pop wearing you down... my music can work on you now! So..."Ember said, as she turned the knob on her guitar.
Thankfully Helena was far to busy being engrossed in her thoughts about the new younger Vlad Plasmius to notice what the Pop princess was about to do.
Ember tuned her guitar to the love song and struck her guitar, hitting Helena with a love song spell.
"You owe me, Baby Pop..."Ember said, while Team Phantom seemed confused now.
"What did you just do?..." Danny asked.
"Watch..." Ember said with a smile, as Helena's eyes glowed pink now.
Vlad saw what she did to the wannabe bride and was confident that it did nothing, since he assumed that Ember exhausted herself from early fights she was in.
"If you're done now, I have plans to make and a romance to-..."Vlad was cut off when he saw what was happening now.
Helena opened her eyes and smiled widely at Vlad, her eyes glowing pink. Suddenly hearts were in her eyes as she saw the now youthful evil halfa before her.
"Ooh... you look so handsome like this..." She said in a flirty tone.
Vlad felt his skin turn cold as the now old looking Helena was clearly very taken with him.
"Since you're not creepy looking anymore...and Phantom won't be good looking again for another ten years...I'll just take you..."She declared in a lovesick, deranged manner.
"OH NO!..."Vlad pulled away, horrified that he is now her latest target.
"I save myself for Maddie and no one else! Now, be gone you wretched hag!..." Vlad aimed his hand, only to see no blast coming out.
"WHAT?!..."Vlad shouted in disbelief, unable to believed what had just happened.
"What's wrong with him?..."Jazz asked, confused.
Danny pondered as realized what happened.
"He must've de-aged himself to before he got powers, giving his body a reset for more than just age. That might explain why Kid me and Baby Me were still in human form, while the older Me's still retained their ghost powers..." Danny said out loud.
"Oh no... you mean... I can't fight back?!..." Vlad asked in horror, while his self-proclaimed bride looked happy now.
"Which means you're mine now! Come here... Honey!..." Helena said, as she flew towards him.
Vlad screamed as loud as he could as he made a break for it. However, without his ghost powers to enhance his physical abilities, he could only go so far as his legs could take him.
He didn't get far as Helena was inches from him. Using his human body to his advantage, Vlad phased down the ground just before Helena grabbed him to a hug.
Danny laughed, unable to believe what he saw and he couldn't stop himself from giving Vlad more trouble.
"He lives in Polter Heights in case you lose him..." Danny said.
"Thanks, Kid..." Helena said, as she continued her chase.
"Send me a postcard from the honeymoon!..."Danny mocked.
"Will do!..."Helena said seriously before going back to her chase.
"You might name your son after me too!..." Danny responded mockingly, causing everyone, including Ember laugh out loud at that.
"I'LL GET YOU FOR THIS, DANIEL!..."Vlad shouted as he kept running away.
Danny laughed best as he could, watching Vlad run with Helena after him.
Vlad kept running, but almost bumped into black and white cat with a white paint stripe on it's back and running away from a skunk. Unknown to younger Vlad, that cat was in the similar situation as him right now.
Vlad just kept running from Helena until the two were out of sight. The two were finally gone. Vlad was also so desperate to get away from his ancient, wanna-be bride that he ended up dropping the watch.
Which Danny noticed and picked up.
"Well, can't risk Helena or Vlad getting any funny ideas..."Danny said, as he used his powers to destroy it.
Once he was sure that no one can use it again, he returned to his friends, sister and Ember.
"Well, that was cathartic..."Sam said.
"You can say that again..."Danny said, relieved.
He was glad that Vlad is gone and Helena would no longer bother him. He was also glad to be back to normal now.
A little later
After they left Helena's realm, Danny turned to ask Ember a question.
"How long does this last, exactly?..." Danny asks, curious.
"I'll be honest... if I don't keep playing my guitar around her, I'd say a week at tops. It's one of the reasons why my song kept playing on the radio when I first came here..." Ember admitted.
"So, is a week enough time to get married?..." Danny asked.
"According to animated movies with princesses, yeah..." Ember said with a nod, having seen her fair share of romcom.
"You watch princess movies?..."Danny asked, surprised to hear that.
"Tell anyone and we'll see how fast you fly with a limp..."Ember said, glaring at him.
Danny held his hands up defensively, though the smile on his face made it clear he found her reaction rather adorable.
"Okay, I won't tell anyone..."Danny said.
"Good..."Ember said, still sounding tough.
Team Phantom were still reeling this entire experience, and they were just glad that it was all over now.
"At least we can finally put this very weird ordeal behind us..." Jazz said, glad to have her little brother back to regular self.
"So this must be what it's like to be on the good guy's side, feels a bit weird, but not uncomfortable at all..."Ember said, as she leaned her arm on Danny's shoulder.
"Never thought I'd say this to you but... thanks..." Danny said to Ember, being sincere.
"Again... remember this when I take over the world..." She responded with a playful smile.
"Still, I'm holding you to that ice cream..."Ember said, grinning that peculiar smile that the ghost boy couldn't seem to read.
"Right...I guess in 10 years I'll give you that date..."Danny joked, thinking she was just joking.
"Why wait? I'm free right now. Why don't we make that ice cream trip a date instead?..."Ember said, surprising him.
"Uh...what?..."Danny asked, as he and the rest of Team Phantom did not expect this.
