The world... It's a large and beautiful place. Some say it's small, but there is much to see. The only way is go and see it all for yourself. Some don't have the ability to go out and travel on their own, but there are those who do. There's a world where many go traveling and see what the world has to offer. This world...isn't that world. However, there is someone who is trying to get there.

"Well, Izzy? How does it look? Is it working yet?"

"Be patient, Davis." Izzy said as he was working on his computer. Davis could hardly wait. He stood in front of a large machine and just wouldn't wait to walk through the other side. He and Veemon wanted to go so much.

"How much longer is it going to take?" Veemon asked.

"As long as Izzy says he does. If you think it's so easy, you do it." Tentomon said as he tried to help Izzy out.

"Sorry. It's just... I don't know how much more I can wait." Davis said. He reached inside his blue vest and pulled out a photo of him, his girlfriend Kari, a great friend, and many strange looking creatures. "Just a little longer... I'll see you again...Ash and my pokemon."

It's a big big world, but you know where to find me

We'll be together and we're gonna do it our way

We'll discover we believe in each other

On adventures with my friends like every day

And we're already on our way

The journey stars today

OHHHHHHH Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh

OHHHHHHH Oh Oh Oh OH OH Oh

The journey starts today

OHHHHHHH Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh

OHHHHHHH Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh

The journey starts today

(Davis' voice) It Begins Again

This young man is named Davis Motomiya. He is an eccentric young man who is ready for adventure. He lives in a world that holds creatures called digimon, but he wants to return to a world with a dangerous set of creatures called pokemon. He and his friends would love to go back to that world, but it's not that simple or easy. That's why Izzy is working on a gateway to take them to that world.

"How's it looking, Izzy?" Davis asked.

"Pretty good. Using the same system Myotismon used to come to our world, I think I might have a way to get us to the Pokemon World." Izzy said. That's exactly what Davis wanted to hear.

"Great! Turn it on and let's go!" Davis said as he was ready to get back to that world.

"Wait a minute, Davis. It's too soon." Izzy said. "There are too many things that could go wrong. Even if we get there, I have no way of getting us back. There's still some work to be done."

"How much longer is that going to take?" Davis questioned.

"I honestly don't know." Izzy said as he closed his computer. "This isn't something we can just jump into, and we made everything from scratch. It's risky, Davis. There's no telling what could happen. It can't even handle transporting multiple people. Besides, with the current power flow, it might only work once. It could be a one-way trip."

"But... I be willing to take that risk." Davis said as he just wants to go there and see it for himself.

"I understand you're eager to go back there. There's still much of that world that I want to study." Izzy said as he too wants to see that world again. "Still, I don't know know if we can even pull something like this off." All this isn't what Davis wanted to hear. "It will be okay." Izzy assured as he placed his hand on Davis' shoulder. "We all miss those guys. It wasn't easy for us when Tai and the rest of us had to leave our digimon for a few years. Still, we found a way to see each other again. Even if we don't see our pokemon again, it won't be the end of the world."

"I get that. It's just... It's not easy." Davis said as he couldn't accept he might not see that world again.

"Izzy, you'll keep working on it, right?" Veemon asked.

"We can certainly try, but there's no guarantee. Right, Izzy?" Tentomon said with Izzy agreeing. With that, Izzy and Tentomon left the lab, but Davis just can't accept things the way they are. The path is right in front of him, but he just can't seem to take it no matter how much he wants to.

...

Davis

After that, Davis went and watched the sun go down. He couldn't stop thinking about his pokemon, the friends he made in that other world. It's been so long since the two worlds were one. Davis and Kari were sent to the pokemon world by accident, but they made many great friends there. Then, even after they were sent back to their own world, the two worlds came together. Sure, it was done by an evil power, but they saw their friends and continued their adventures. Then, after their final pokemon battle, the two worlds separated. Other than Davis and his friends, no one really remembers the pokemon. It was almost like they never existed. Still, Davis couldn't leave things like that.

"Are you still thinking about it?" Kari said as she stood with him. "Izzy says the portal is coming along nicely."

"I know, but it's too long. I feel like it's so close, but so far away." Davis complained.

"I really get it. We had a lot of good times." Kari said as she wrapped her arms around Davis. "After all, who knows how long it would have taken for us to get together."

"Yeah. That was a great thing that came from the departure." Davis said with Kari resting her head on his shoulder. "Still, I miss all of it. I miss the battling, the adventures, the excitement, and I miss all my pokemon. I want it all back. I've tried moving on, accepting that it's all over, but I can't. I felt more like myself there, like it was all a big part of me. A part of me that I just can't let go of."

"I understand, Davis." Kari said. "I miss being a coordinator and my own pokemon as well. I'm sure you'll figure something out. You're the guy that believes nothing is impossible. In the meantime, we have the rest of our lives ahead of us."

"Maybe..." Davis said. "Izzy says the portal is close, but it only work once."

"It will all be okay. I know it will." Kari assured as she kissed his face. At the same time, both of their digimon just hung back and were feeling the same as them.

"Aren't they just cute together." Gatomon said. "What about you, Veemon? You miss being a pokemon?"

"Yeah." Veemon said. "It's a little weird. We might have been similar to pokemon, but different at the same time. We could evolve and use pokemon attacks. I was always Imperialdramon and you were always Angewomon. It felt the same, but different."

"I have to admit that I miss it all myself." Gatomon said. "Well, not much can really be done. All we can really do is try to move on from it. Besides, I'm sure Izzy will figure something out. It's just taking longer than you guys think." Davis and Veemon really understand what everyone is saying, but they just can't shake off the feeling. It's not easy to let go of something that felt like a big part of you.

...

Motomiya Apartment

Davis couldn't stop thinking about going back to that world. He loves his home, but he just feels like he found a world he really belongs in. He couldn't talk to his family about it since they don't know anything about it. The adventures, the fun, the battles, and everything about it kept ringing in Davis' mind. So, he has decided on something.

"Are you sure about this?" Veemon asked. "Once we do this, there's no going back."

"I know, and I get that you're scared, but we can do this, Veemon." Davis said as he was writing something down.

"Shouldn't we at least take Kari and Gatomon?" Veemon questioned.

"No, and you know why." Davis said as he was finishing his writing and had two letters with him. He left one on his desk and got himself ready to go. He grabbed some other things and got himself ready to go, leaving behind one of the letters. "It's time, Veemon." They were both ready for whatever comes now as they headed out into the night. Davis took the other letter and dropped it off at the Kamiya's for Kari. He expects people won't be happy with him, but he has to do this.

...

Izzy's Lab

Davis got himself dressed and ready to go. He stood before the portal in a new attire. He now wore a navy blue shirt with a red 1 on it and wore a blue vest with it. He was wearing beige shorts and shoes fit for travel. He also carried blue bag on his back with his trademark goggles.

"Ready?" Veemon asked.

"I am." Davis said. He went to the computer system and started it up.

"Do you even know what you're doing?" Veemon asked.

"I've been helping Izzy with this every way I can. I think I picked up a few things." Davis said, but Veemon was starting to become nervous. It was a little nerve-racking having Davis operate the controls, but it looked like it was all going well. The portal was starting and opening with a light shining through it. "See?"

"Well, no turning back now." Veemon said as the two stood in front of it and held each other's hands. As the two of them stepped closer to the portal, Davis thought about what he wrote in the letter.

"Guys, I'm sorry. I can't wait around anymore. I'm going to the Pokemon World, alone with Veemon. It's not that I don't love this world, but I feel that one is where I feel the most like myself. I get you'll all be upset with me, but I just have to do this. Kari, I'm sorry you have to find out like this, but this is my only way. I'm not going to say goodbye because I know Izzy or someone will find a way to get me to come back. That's because I believe in all of you. I'll just say... See you later."

Davis and Veemon stepped through the portal and headed for whatever it was that awaits them, taking the risk that comes with it. They now leave this world and hopefully enter the next world.

...

Davis

Davis was engulfed in a light and was taken somewhere. When he finally came to his senses, he could feel his body against something. He could finally see and saw he was laying in a grassy field. He slowly stood back up and tried to get a read on his surroundings.

"Did it work?" Davis questioned as he looked around, but noticed he was alone. "Veemon? Veemon, where are you?!"

"Davis!" He could hear someone behind him, but that didn't sound like Veemon's voice. He turned around and was shocked at what he saw. Standing before him wasn't Veemon, but it was him.

"Look at me! I'm Imperialdramon, but I'm not the size of a building!" Veemon changed into Imperialdramon Fighter Mode, but he was smaller than usual. He's only a couple feet taller than Davis. Seeing him in that form made Davis think of only one reason it could be like that.

"Does that mean it worked?" Davis said. Suddenly, he heard a flock of birds. He looked up to the sky to see those birds, but they weren't regular birds. There was something about them that caught Davis' attention. He knows what they are. "Pidgey..." When he saw that, Davis looked to the side and ran off. He ran towards the top of a hill and could see a small town. "I think that's Pallet Town!" Imperialdramon hurried and saw it himself. Neither of them could believe it.

"It worked, Davis..." Imperialdramon said.

"It worked..." Davis said as he was so shock. That shock soon turned to joy as it felt like his greatest dream came true. "We're back... We're back!" He shouted at the top of his lungs. He's back in the Pokemon World.

Davis has dreamed about returning to the Pokemon World, and now it has happened. He might have left his world and friends behind, but he and Imperialdramon have reached their goal. Now that they are back, what awaits them? We'll see soon enough.
