Chapter 50: A Huge Leap In Preparations
"W-Wait a minute! You got sent here too?!" Candace asked Gemma, still shell-shocked at her appearance.
"Yeah! I'm kinda shocked that you're here too! It's gotta be a coincidence." Gemma said as she was also shocked.
"Yo, why are there so many people here? Jesus, you guys are having some type of intervention or something?" Darius asked as he was looking around the room.
"N-No. We're having an important discussion on Thanos again." Lunia said.
"Thanos?! The heck did he do this time?!"
"He was notified about the red stone that was in the United Kingdom and hunted down Kaze for it."
"Wait a minute. Thanos found you, Kaze?!" Darius asked, looking surprised.
"Yes, unfortunately. It was just so sudden, but it happened anyway." I said. "Luckily, I got saved by someone that I've barely met before."
"Yeah, She was in great danger, but I stepped in at the last minute." Kinsley said.
"Great danger? In what way?" Gemma asked.
"Well… *sigh* It all started with Thanos' crew or whatever. They started checking her pockets, looking for something important. But after they searched and found nothing, they were about to take her in like she was their prisoner and that was when I bolted in and confronted them. It sounded disgusting to me, so I stood my ground and saved her."
"Wow… That's some cold-blooded stuff right there." Kris said.
"Tell me about it." Darius said.
"So… are you hurt anywhere, Kaze?" Gemma asked me.
"No, I was ok." I said. "It was this green fog that I was in. I wasn't going in there on purpose. It just showed up out of nowhere. It put me to sleep. And I thought I was a goner for sure. I thought my body was giving up on me. I tried to escape, but failed to do so. And it just happened in a blink of an eye. I was looking at these big crazy footsteps in the forest. I'm not sure what happened, but I just saw it while I was walking around. And I'm not sure if some incident or a fracas happened. So I started to do a little investigating and that's when the fog appeared."
I could've told my mom about this too.
"Wait, so… when did this all happen, today?" Darius asked.
"Yeah. This just happened." Me and Kinsley said.
"That's crazy… It's always these weird things that he does."
"Right?! It's just one misdeed after another!" Alexis said with a disgusted look on her face. "I can tell someone needs to put him in his place already!"
"Yeah, this doesn't sit well with me now that I think about it." Candace said. "Normally, there would be a bunch of weirdos in the United Kingdom, but this is a crazy psycho I'm now hearing."
"But let's not get it twisted, however." Blue said. "There is a mastermind somewhere that has control of Thanos so we can't rule him or her out."
"So where is Thanos now? Is he gone?" Gemma asked.
"We don't know where he is unfortunately. We tried searching for him, but to no avail." I said.
"He's not really that important anyway. We shouldn't target him too much. We'll find him another time." Lunia said. "More importantly, I assume your Gemma, yes?"
"Yes, that's me. Am I that famous?" Gemma asked, nonchalantly.
"Did you really have to say that out of the blue?" Candace asked with a sweatdrop.
"Candace, come on." Blue said with a serious tone.
"Well… I haven't heard much. But Kaze did." Lunia said pointing at me.
"C-Come again?!" Candace asked, looking at me with a surprised look.
"Oh… my god." Alexis said with a dumbfounded look on her face.
"So this hottie is who you invited to Hyperdrive City?" Darius asked me, in which Gemma almost giggled.
"Y-Yeah, I needed to, honestly." I said.
"At first, I didn't want to risk my life by helping her out since I was more worried about my health, but we promised that I was gonna let her be lonely one time. Plus, after hearing the story, I'm just upset with Thanos." Gemma said with an unhappy look on her face.
"Y-You are?"
"He tried to take my friend away from me. Someone as kind, intelligent and easygoing as you. If that's the case, then someone needs to be taught a lesson. Nobody hurts my friends and none will!"
We were all surprised at Gemma's speech that was said with extreme confidence. It even surprised me as well. I didn't even think she had this side in her. I thought she was immune to being offended.
So before others were gonna chime in, I said this…
"Yeah, you're right. Which is why I need your help." I said to Gemma.
"Even if it's at the cost of my life, I'll help you, Kaze. No matter what. I've always had the mentality of a heroine. That's what some of my friends told me. I'll make sure you don't get caught in a whirlpool of trouble."
"Wow… I didn't think you had this in you, Gemma." Blue said, still looking speechless.
"Y-Yeah… I'm pretty bright and lovable. But I'm a woman of my word when I get serious. I'm pretty sure Candace didn't see it coming either. " Gemma teasingly said.
"W-Why is this on me now?! It just happened so suddenly that I grew speechless!" Candace said while blushing.
"It's written all over your face. It got you moved." Blue said with a sweatdrop.
"I don't need your input!"
"Hey, Candace. This situation is really serious." I said. "I want to be partners with you and… you are brazen and look confident to do this. Would it be ok if you do this for me?"

"Well… I mean… you did scratch my back by voting for me in the Royal Rally so I can't say no to that… but to team up with this blonde rascal? Th-There is no way that's happening after that duel that I lost last night." Candace said, still flustered.
"But you've been going at it for years now. I think it's time you gave that stuff a break. I haven't seen you on good terms with Gemma. She would do anything to win your trust."
"But she didn't win my trust, stealing most of my fame!"
"Come on, Candace." Gemma said. "I bet we can win some fans together by attempting to be heroines. I mean our fans don't know that, but we can wow them by doing something that we've never ever done before."
"You're really trying to give me that?"
"Pretty please?! I promise we're gonna be elite together!" Gemma said as she looked at Candace with a precious look on her face.
"Wow. She's definitely giving you her precious look. That's adorable." Darius said, with a cheeky grin.
"It's not like that! God… Ok, you could stop looking at me like that! I'll… join your mission." Candace said with a hint of red on her face.
"That's awesome! Thanks, Candace! We'll be great together!" Gemma said, ecstatic with Candace's response.
"Don't think I'm only doing this just to restore everything for nothing! I better have some cheers by the time this is all over!" Candace said, with a stern tone.
"You will. We're in this together and I know you will try your hardest." I said to her.
"How am I supposed to try my hardest when Thanos is so powerful?!"
"O-Oh… Yeah, I did say Thanos is too strong for me." Gemma said with a disappointed look on her face.
"Don't beat yourselves up. I know how you can be stronger."
"Wait, you do uh… wait, what is your name?" Gemma asked Lunia.
"I am Lunia. I am the Goddess here in Hyperdrive City. I can definitely be a big help along the way and help you get stronger."
"And that is?" Kinsley asked.
"You will be prepping to be Hyperdrive Cyber Units."
"Hyper what?" Candace asked, looking confused.
"Hyperdrive Cyber Units. You will gain the ability to fight either physically or with weapons all while having another form of your body."
"Another form? But I look very beautiful in my human body."
"I-It's true. But you also need to get stronger likewise. Thanos can be a pain to you, which is why you gotta prove him wrong."
"Like it or not, it's essential." Scarlett said. "World peace will be earned by proving you want world peace. Thanos is on a mission to destroy it. So… it's not just him we have to stop, it's one other person that's behind all of this. And it's going to require lots of power."
"*sigh* I guess there's no point in denying that. All I did was work on my fashionista stuff." Candace said with a sad look on her face.
"Another form, huh? I don't know how this will turn out, but it sounds thrilling." Gemma said, while thinking about it.
"I wouldn't say it would be thrilling." Blue said as me and her gained a sweatdrop.
"You oughta tell Scarlett that." Kris said.
"I don't need someone to bring up my history." Scarlett retorted at him.
"So… if I have to have another form and the ability to fight with whatever I use, are you sure this is going to help me bring down Thanos?" Kinsley asked.
"It definitely will. Train to grow stronger and I'm sure the outcome will be successful." Lunia said.
"And you ain't the only one that has to do the work. We're all doing it together. So we're not gonna make you do everything." Darius said.
"Yup. We're all on Thanos too, so we have a common enemy." Kris said.
"Ok. Whatever works, works for me." Kinsley said.
"Now, if you would come with me, Kinsley, Candace and Gemma, there is something that I would like to show you." Lunia said as she then was setting up a portal.
"Wait. Is it ok if I come too, Lunia? Just in case." Blue asked.
"You can also come too, Blue and Kaze."
"So it's déja vu all over again. Nice." Alexis said with an annoyed look.
"It takes a while because they gotta get their feet wet." Lunia said. "You can't expect them to be perfect."
"Well, hopefully they don't give you problems like the last time they went to… "that" place." Darius said.
"But we didn't have any problems though." Blue said with a sweatdrop.
"I'm just saying. Most of us we're on our phones, looking at social media 'cuz you were taking too long."
"Just don't mind his silly comments, Blue. Hopefully you girls are careful." Scarlett said.
"We will. We aren't the ones involved to be honest."
"Yeah, we did our part. There's no need to take care of anything else." I said.
"That's not true. You both still need training. Thanos can be too much to deal with unless you work hard as HCUs." Lunia said.
"I know that, Lunia. I'm saying that we got entitled as HCUs and got our abilities. Hopefully, this turns out to be a huge success."
"It will, as long as you train hard."
That, I will.
"Alright, please follow me, everyone." Lunia said as the five of us United Kingdom girls went into the portal that Lunia created.
The portal then sent us to the elemental room where me and Blue had gotten our HCU forms. There wasn't anything different per usual.
"Alright, here we are." Lunia said as she introduced Kinsley, Candace and Gemma to the elemental room, but only Candace is confused.
"Wait… What is this place, if I may ask?" Candace asked.
"This is the elemental room. This is where you have the ability to study the element of your choice. For example, as I explained to Kaze and Blue, there are types of elements you may have the ability to use: Fire, Water, Wood, Light, and Dark. Any element you pick is now yours temporarily."
"R-Really?! So… in other words… I can control anything, like fire or water? Well I wouldn't want to try those. They seem too common for me." Gemma said.
"You still can. But it has to be up to one element at a time. It can't be both." Lunia said.
"Well then… I think I might do well with fire. It feels just perfect for me considering how confident I am." Kinsley said.
"I guess that's another person who is brave enough to do this." Blue said to me.
"I honestly didn't expect that." I said.
"So that's one person who is willing to go with fire. Do you have any idea what element you are going for, Candace and Gemma?" Lunia asked.
"I like yellow… or is it Light?" Gemma asked.
"That's the Light element." Lunia confirmed.
"Yeah… I like yellow and I like to be bright so… out of the blue, I'm picking the light element. It fits me perfectly."
"Well… I guess Wood would be the only option for me… but I have to work with just wood?" Candace asked.
"No no. Not just wood, there are other things that you can try that don't involve wood." Lunia said.

"Ok… I'm just looking at the elements and you guys. I'm just hoping that I don't make a mistake."
"No, not at all." All of us except Kinsley said.
"If you choose Wood, then you would be the first five women to choose each of the five elements."
"Wait… so you chose your elements, already?" Candace asked me and Blue."
"I chose the Lunar element." I said.
"And I chose the Ice element." Blue said.

"O-Ok then. I guess I'll just do the Wood element." Candace said. "I don't know the alternatives to Wood, but I guess it's the only thing that's green right now."
"I'm sure your moves are going to be super cool." Gemma said to Candace.
"Well… hopefully they are. I can surpass anyone, even you." Candace responded back.
"Oh really? *giggle* Then I'll make sure it gets intense." Gemma said with a smug.
"Hmph. Even if you are going to use the Light ability, I can still guarantee that not only would I still be beautiful, I could still be strong. No matter who stands in my way."
"You two never change." Blue said with a sweatdrop.
"I just hope that you two will be great heroines. There's no need to fight over who's better." Lunia said.
"Oh, I'll still do great, Lunia." Gemma said. "My confidence for trying this is now through the roof. I'll be a great piece to this party."
"Well… her vitality has quickly shifted, I guess." I whispered with a sweatdrop.
"Anyway, should I start? I'm not sure how this is gonna play out, but I have to be heavily prepared." Kinsley said.
"Sure. Please head inside the elemental tube and we'll get started." Lunia said.
"Alright."
Kinsley, Candace and Gemma were now heading into the elemental tubes of their choice with Kinsley picking the Fire element, Candace picking the Wood element, and Gemma picking the Light element.
I've finally got the four people I wanted on my team. We'll be ready to take on the mastermind in no time.
Candace's Super Quick POV
Damn, why does it feel so small here? Could a big person really fit in here?
I was now inside a big elemental tube for the wood element. *sigh* And let me tell you, there's been so much I needed to think about as far as how the chemistry is going to work out. My mind just can't believe I'm going to be teaming up with Gemma. She blows my mind in every way and now it's going to get worse with her joining this quest. It's no fun for me, but I would rather have my life taken away than to be with her the whole ride.

Well… my life is rather important for me, so I wouldn't say that. Look, I'm not that bipolar.
"'Do you wish to have the wood element?' Yes." I whispered as I was getting ready to have authorization to use whatever abilities they offer.

"'Please wait while we recognize your body.' What the hell?" I asked as I was confused.
As soon as I asked that, this green laser light… thingy or whatever was scanning my whole body from top to bottom. It was making me uncomfortable because I have a feeling that it's going to see me as a stranger or a threat. Everybody here should recognize me for I'm a famous young lady.
But after just seconds of scanning my body…
"'Your body is not recognizable. Please type in your name.' It doesn't recognize me?! It should!" I whispered in frustration.
Gemma's Super Quick POV
"It's pretty odd that my body is not recognizable even though this world is different from mine." I said as I was typing in my name after the scanner didn't appear to recognize my body. Which was a shocker.

"'Do you wish to confirm that "Gemma January" is your name?' Yes. I wish to confirm."

I then saw the screen loading as it was trying to make sure everything was up to date.
Hopefully there's some abilities that are really good. I know some cartoon shows that have characters use really wicked equipment or magic. Maybe I could become the star of the next generation!
After a few seconds of loading…

After taking care of identifying myself and picking the magic I wanted, (which was the fire ability) I was now on the ability to choose however I wish to fight.
"'You will now select how you wish to fight. You will be given a primary and a secondary. You can choose the same two weapons/abilities as your build.' Huh. Interesting. Let's see here. Fighting, how unique, Sword… I might've done fencing classes so I might have no problem using a sword, Staff… I'm not a big fan of those. I want to use something more… impactful, Gun… W-Why is this a thing… well it says there is plasma or lasers on it, but that really scared the hell out of me… ok *sigh* Magic: Short-Ranged or Long-Ranged… I'm not sure about that one, Bow… I'll think about it, Spear, ehh, Shuriken… these are a lot…

"Oh, we got options. Assault, Marksman, Sniper, Sub, whatever that means, Machine, and Pistol. I'll keep it plain and simple and go with a pistol." I said as I selected the pistol option.

The screen afterwards was loading and I was patiently waiting for the next step and I was hopeful that the next step will be very interesting.
Candace's Super Quick POV
"'We will now customize your Hyperdrive Cyber Unit outfit and your transformation appearance that best fits you perfectly, but first…' M-My transformation appearance? What the hell is that?"
*WOOSH SOUND EFFECT FROM SCREEN*
"'You have made yourself: Pure Wind Brawler, is this correct?' Yes. All the way." I said as I happily picked the yes option as I had fighting both my primary and secondary ability/weapon.
"'Please wait while we get everything set up.' Excellent. Hopefully this works."

"'Your build will now be delivered to you. Please close your eyes while we set you up.' Close my eyes? Oh… um, ok. Here goes nothing." I said as I closed my eyes.

"'Your build will now be delivered to you. Please close your eyes while we set you up.' I-Is it really necessary?" I asked as I closed my eyes to begin the experiment.

"'Your build will now be delivered to you. Please close your eyes while we set you up.' I… don't know what this is about, but ok." I said as I closed my eyes as I let the machine do its thing.
This feels so weird for some reason.
Kaze's POV
The three of us were still waiting on the others to finish up their builds. It was taking a while honestly. I'm not sure the reason behind it.
But something came to mind while I was waiting…
"I've been thinking, Lunia." I said. "If we capture all five stones from the five worlds you mentioned, I wonder if it could lead to us having to find intel on Thanos' location."
"I may not know what would be the effect of bringing the stones into Hyperdrive City, but that is a possibility." Lunia said. "Thanos might not have a choice but to stand his own ground if he notices that we have them. I've tried to find out who is the owner of them, but it came out unknown. These are really new types of unidentified objects that have come into this universe."
"But are you sure it's not something that could be a trap?" Blue asked. "I don't know if the owner is gonna be mad at us. Yes they have an origin, but it's possible that the owner is finding them in a hurry."
"It's no trap, Blue. It's how it is. As we progress through, we'll be able to get an understanding of how they have arrived. As long as whoever is in possession of Thanos and the rest of the villains you are about to encounter don't get their hands on them."
"Yeah, I get the feeling things are about to become haywire." Blue said with a sweatdrop.
"They won't become haywire." I said. "There's not much I know about since this is my first time learning these types of things, but as an intelligent 16 year old and soon to be strong HCU, I want to make sure things don't turn south. I already accomplished my goal in Primp Town, so my confidence should remain the same in the Mushroom Kingdom."

"I trust in her confidence to do this. I think you should too, Blue." Lunia said with a small smile.
"Yeah, she does. Ok. Then I believe in you, Kaze." Blue said with a smile.
"You will do great. I guarantee it. I need all the help I can get." I said to her.

"Oh. All three of them are done. Alright." Lunia said as we were walking over to see their… unusual sleeping positions.
"Looks like none of them are drooling." She also applied.

"Ah! What the hell?!" Kinsley said as she was hit by Lunia's moon crescent, causing her to be woken up.
"Apologies, Kinsley. The tube will make you sleepy once the experiment starts." Lunia said.
"Th-That's weird. I hope nobody was laughing at that." Kinsley said, looking annoyed.
"We weren't. It was just random when we first got here." I said.
"Oh, so I'm not the only one?"
"No. We aren't."
*FLICK*
"Ow! Who touched me that hard?!" Candace asked as she was the next person to be hit by Lunia's moon crescent.
"That explains then." Kinsley said.
"Apologies, Miss Candace. The tube will make you sleepy once the experiment starts." Lunia said.
"Well… thank you for waking me up, but I still didn't appreciate it." Candace said, looking disgusted.
"You weren't the only one. I was hit as well." Kinsley said with a sweatdrop.
"Do these tubes really make you sleepy?" Candace asked as she was looking at the tubes.
"Yes, but I'll explain later." Lunia said as she was getting ready to wake up Gemma.
*FLICK*
"Owie! That hurts!" Gemma whined as she got hit by Lunia's moon crescent.
"Apologies, Gemma. The tube will make you sleepy once the experiment starts." Lunia responded.
"O-Oh… then, I wonder what just hit me." Gemma said as she was rubbing her eyes.
"Those were moon crescents that I hit you with. It was the only way I could wake you up."
"Moon crescents? Like these mini things?" Gemma asked as she picked one up.
"Yes, but more importantly, I want to see your transformation states now. Which is also known as your "Hyperdrive Generational Unit" states."
"Hyperdrive… Generational Unit states? That's wayyy too long." Kinsley said with a sweatdrop.
"You can abbreviate it to HGU state. You don't have to say the whole thing." Lunia said.
"Well… ok. I guess that's much better."
"But what do you mean by transformation states? Do I… get an upgrade or something?" Gemma asked, looking confused.
"When you are in your transformation state, you get a whole new look in your body. That is what is considered to be your new HGU form."
"A-A-A whole new look in my body?! So that means I have another form in my beautiful body?!" Candace shouted while looking a little worried.
"You still get your human body. It's just you have another form of your body." Blue said.
"Yeah, it's not actually permanent. It's just the other form is going to be your HGU form. I hope it's really good though."
"It better! Because if not, this is a crime!" Candace said, looking upset.
"Wait, so I'm getting another form of my body?! I'm not sure what that means, but it does sound exciting!" Gemma said, looking interested.
"In order to activate them, you girls need to say the word "transform" in your head. Just think of the word transform." Lunia explained to them.
"Transform? That's all we have to say?" Kinsley asked.
"Yes. It's the magic word in order for you to transform into your HGU form."
"Ok, then."
Then moments after trying to say the word in her head, Kinsley got absorbed into a mix of white and light-blue light. It only took a couple of seconds to get her HGU form until…
"K-Kinsley… that form." I said as me and the rest of us were speechless at her HGU form.
Looking at it, she had long vermillion hair (which was a red and orange color) along with a change of eye color from brown to orange. She was also wearing a white bodysuit with orange fire symbols on both her shoulders and hands along with white thigh-high boots that had fire patches on top of them. There was nothing else specific. But the form looked cool either way.
"Woah… that's… that's really cool!" Gemma shouted, looking shocked.
"Mine better look exquisite." Candace whispered in annoyance.
"Huh. This doesn't look bad, I gue– wait a minute." Kinsley said as she noticed that she was actually floating in the air. "Hold on, why am I floating?! How do I get down?!"
"So try to pretend that you are about to do a trust fall." Lunia quickly explained to Kinsley.
"A trust fall? Like this?" Kinsley asked as she was starting to float down at her normal position.
"Yes, you're warm! That's perfect!"
"*sigh* I gotta get used to high gravity?" Kinsley asked with a sigh of relief.
"You might not like it, but we have to get used to it. It can be pretty useful too if you think about it." Lunia said.
"Useful how?"
"We can get on top of buildings. Nobody can catch us in the air even." I said.
"How do you know all of this?"
"Me and Blue were present at the time we got our HGU forms. We have more experience than you do at the current moment."

"Y-You do have a point." Kinsley admitted with a sweatdrop. "Anyway, this form is ok. The details of this are decent, but the color should be darker. It would make it more pleasing."
"Darker? As in black?" Lunia asked.
"Yeah, it fits me. But overall, it's ok."
"Well, the color white has to represent our world. It would get too confusing and kinda offensive to go with the color of your choice."
"Offensive?" All of us asked in confusion.
"Yes. Our world was always like this. When you all first got here, you saw the futuristic things that are here as of now. The environment is futuristic, the transportation is futuristic, the buildings, the technology, etc. All those things that remind you of the future is why white is the symbolization of our world. Everything here is designed and colored in white, and everybody has taken a liking to the features of this place. Even the color is what they like about it."
"So… this place is like a country, then? People represent this place?" Candace asked.
"That's right. Which is why white and light-blue will always be symbolized here in Hyperdrive City. Using a different color makes you an unwelcome person. So even though Kinsley, Kaze, Candace and Gemma have different colors, you are not suspicious."
"Well… when you put those details in the equation, it does feel like a government or an empire." Blue said.
"Granted, this does feel like a place where you should follow strict rules." I said.
"Well I am a goddess after all, so it's mandatory that you should follow them." Lunia said. "You all are from the United Kingdom. You have rules that should be followed. So Hyperdrive City should have the same thing."
"No question. I don't disagree with it."
"Anyway, are we finished talking about this? I want to see what my HGU form looks like already. Hopefully it's exquisite like I said." Candace asked.
"Yes. Go ahead, Candace. Remember to think of the word, "Transform"." Lunia said.
"Ok. This better be good." Candace whispered in annoyance.
She then absorbed herself into a bright light and a few seconds after doing so…
"Woah… Candace, you look new." Gemma said, looking speechless.
And she was partially right. The reason why I say partially is because Candace's appearance was the only thing that changed. The HGU form felt the same. Her hair was changed from a ponytail to long pigtails that were really straight. The eyes have changed from the original green to a cooler green and the hair color was changed from brown to a cooler green. She still had the green lips to top it off. Don't wanna forget that since she still is a beautiful fashionista.
For her HGU form, she also had a white bodysuit, with a green leaf symbol on her left hand and leg, and a wind symbol on her right hand and leg. Her sleeves also had cooler green patches in the bicep and tricep areas and her white thigh-high boots had a leaf symbol on her left boot and a wind symbol on the right.
I could tell this was something different she wanted to try out.
"Wha… I get the same outfit?" Candace asked as she was looking at her outfit.
"Try looking in the mirror over there. You'll get the full description." Lunia said.
And when Candace did so, she looked like she was about to lose her head.
"I-I got pigtails now?!" Candace asked. "I-I mean I do look cute… but, this is not what I agreed on! I prefer to be more beautiful with a ponytail! Like, there's a way I could do it…"
"There is no way, unfortunately." Lunia said with a sweatdrop. "Whatever you do with your hair, it's just gonna stay like that."
"Oh screw this tube!"
"Come on, Candace. I think it matches your personality. Remember when you smiled at Gemma and shook her hand and the fans went into bedlam?" Blue asked.
"I told you it wasn't like that! When is everybody gonna start believing what I say is true?!" Candace shouted while blushing.
"I mean…"
"My goodness! It's like I have to do some magic stuff and turn back the clock to show you some evidence that I wasn't kidding! I wasn't kidding!"
"Alright, alright. Calm down, Candace. No need to get too riled up." Lunia said. "It's no use unfortunately. You just have to get used to whatever appearance the tube gets you unless you change your personality."
"Well tell Kaze that."
"Me? My form is completely different. I'm nothing like you." I said to Candace with a sweatdrop.
"Then what's with the purple colored-ponytail? And the eyes? It's like now I have a feeling that everyone's gonna fall for you."
"Th-There were a couple of people coming up to me about it… but I like how I am. So I'm not here to steal your thunder. It's just… my normal life. I read books for example."
"Read books?" Candace asked in confusion.
"Yeah. You didn't know I had a habit of reading books?" I asked.
"It was one of the reasons why we started becoming friends, Candace." Blue said.
"I really have book lovers as friends…" Candace whispered while facepalming. "Ok, I guess I'll… *sigh* If it makes you happy, I'll use what I have. I wanted to use the wind element anyway. The wood element was not for me."
"Wait, there was a wind element?" Blue asked.
"Yeah. Using trees, logs and all sorts of things are not for me. I'm more interested in the wind. I like to see how this plays out against my foes."
"Understandable…"
I didn't know there was a wind element. I guess Candace is going to have a good time with that.
"Oh yeah, Gemma. You haven't transformed yet. Let's see what your HGU form looks like."
"Oh right. I was more interested in looking at other people's HGU forms that I haven't gotten the chance to look at mines yet. Well… Here we go!"
Gemma was absorbed into a bright light seconds after she said that, and after a few seconds of absorption time…
"Oh! That's nice." I said as I complemented Gemma's HGU form.
Her hair remained the same except it grew longer and reached her waist level, and it changed from a blonde color to a bright yellow. She also had a lightning bolt hairpin on her hair. Her eyes even changed from blue to yellow.
Her bodysuit was also white, and she had yellow lightning bolt symbols on just both of her shoulders. She also had yellow patches on the bicep and tricep areas. Nothing more specific. She had on white thigh-high boots with both lightning bolts on both boots.
She reminds me of a superhero, though. I'm not sure who that one is.
"Wow, you're right, Kaze. This does look nice. This is so perfect. Hey… my eyes have changed too. That's a really rare color." Gemma said, looking amazed at her new look.
"You seem very happy about it, blondie." Candace said with a sweatdrop and a smirk.
"Yeah! I like it! What do you think, pretty cute and cool, huh?!" Gemma asked.
"W-Why do I have to answer that?" Candace asked while blushing.
"Oh come on! I know you like how special I am! I'm like a superheroine now! And I'm gonna save the world!" Gemma said after doing a heroine pose.
"Eugh! That's super weird when you do that!" Candace shouted, looking disgusted.
"Please don't be like that, Candace. I find it really good." Lunia said. "Now, since you three got a look at your HGU forms, it's best that you save them for later. So to transform back to your original forms, just say revert in your head."
"Huh? We gotta go back to our original forms?" Gemma asked.
"Yeah. I don't want you to waste so much time flying around and wreaking havoc and I don't want you showing your forms to anybody. Not even your other friends. So I want you to revert back now."
"Ok. We gotta say revert in our heads right?"
"Correct."
"Ok."
Candace, Gemma and Kinsley all went into a bright light. A few seconds after that happened, they all reverted back to their human forms and they all were wearing the same clothes they had on.
"I can't believe flying is something that I gotta start getting used to." Kinsley said with facepalm.
"You might as well. Thanos is not someone you could kill very easily." I said.
"I know, but with me having to reach very tall heights. I don't feel comfortable doing that. Is this really necessary!"
"I'm not sure if there's gonna be some very tall heights. But I can see if there are some stairs along the way."
"At least, I get to have my beautiful body back. Oh how I miss you~." Candace said as she was wrapping her body around and was touching her face.
"Can you not be so creepy?" Kinsley asked with a sweatdrop.
"What?! I love my body! And so should you!" Candace shouted.
"But wrapping your arms and touching your face is a sign that I find you creepy."
"Don't mind her. It's just her daily deeds." Blue said with a sweatdrop.
"No it's not! I do it when I want to!" Candace shouted.
"Alright, let's settle down now." Lunia said. "So, next up: I'm going to put you girls on a test run. You don't need to go overboard. I want you to test out your new powers against your opponents as they are going to go easy on you."
"Wait, does that include us?" I asked Lunia.
"No, you did your test run. So you girls are ok. I only want to see Kinsley, Candace and Gemma test out their builds."
"Hmph. I've been waiting." Kinsley said with a smirk.
"Oh, so I get to test out my fighting abilities? I wonder how this is gonna fare. Ohohohoho~!" Candace said with pride.
"I can't wait for this! Time for Gemma January to show off my superstar talent!" Gemma said, looking really confident.
Looks like they all are confident.
"Alright. It looks like you are really ready! Ok, then please step into the portal and we'll get started." Lunia said as she created the test run portal for the three.
"Good luck, you three." I said to them.
"Don't hurt yourself too much out there." Blue said.
"I won't. If I, Candace Maxey, can demolish Gemma January a million times in the Royal Rally, then I'm sure I will have no problems beating whoever stands in my way." Candace said.
"Hopefully it turns out well. That's all I can say." Gemma said with a sweatdrop.
The three of them have gone inside the portal to do their test run which leaves the three of us in the elemental lab.
"I'll send you both back to your friends. I have to supervise the three." Lunia said as she created a portal back to her base.
"Ok. Be careful out there, Lunia." I said to her as me and Blue went back inside the portal to meet back up with my Hyperdrive friends.
Hopefully it's not too hard for them.
Author's Note: First, Kinsley joins, now it's Candace and Gemma joining Kaze's adventure. All five people are now recruited for the quest to hunt down the next stones. Now all that's left is training and the preparations are now complete!
A few more chapters left until the Mushroom Kingdom arc! I'm really excited to get out of this extremely difficult United Kingdom arc. It can be so difficult when you run out of ideas, but I'm now starting to get over the hump, so you guys better hope I amp it up!
