06: Kate's brother
A/N: Hi, guys. I'm back with a new chapter.
„Come on, Bluey. Let's play 'Shop'." Chloe said to her friend the moment she entered the school. „Sure. Can Kate play, too?" „I don't think she'd like it. You heard her the day before yesterday. She almost dislike any of our games being too loud or too boring. So don't ask her. Besides there aren't any roles left. So, come on." Hearing the comment of her best friend let her drop her ears. „You're sure we can't let her play with us? I for myself am sure she'll like it." „No. We're full. So, you're coming?" 'I think I have my plan set into action earlier than I intended to. Good thing Mum knew where the album was.' „Chloe, gather the others first, please. I have to show you something." „But Bluey … The game ..." „Can wait. Wow, didn't think I would say something like this ever." Seeing Bluey was serious about it Chloe left in defeat to gather the others not knowing what would happen now. Knowing her friend it could be anything.
While the kids sat near the dress up chest Bluey sat in front of them holding a book. „Listen" she started. „The last two days I had to notice you were excluding Kate from all the fun. I know she looks different and I know some might even think a walking and talking cat should not be allowed to be with us." She then gave a glare towards Chloe who felt rather off. „But nonetheless Kate is a kid. And I got to know her better for she slept over at my family's house for two nights now. She's just as fun as we all are. Besides do you guys remember our first time arriving here at Calypso's school? When we were the new ones? Nobody would play with anybody for we were all different. Even those of us who knew each others for years were rather sitting by oneself than with the people they knew. And now you're doing to her what we all did to ourself? Can't you see how wrong it is to keep on doing?" With reminiscing the events of that fateful days she opened the book to show them the pictures each on of them already forgot about. All sitting by themselves. Playing alone or just looking at the ceiling being bored. Then there was this picture of Bluey talking to Chloe for the first time forging their future friendship. „You see" she continued. „We were just like this and if we didn't start talking with each other we still would sit by ourselves now. So, please give Kate a chance to show you how much fun it can be to play with her" she concluded. After looking around she noticed that most of them still were uncertain but there were some who she was sure to help Kate. Especially with someone like Mackenzie around she knew it could happen. But on the other hand her best friend Chloe was among those who didn't want to give Kate a chance. That realization gave her a stab in her heart. But she wouldn't be Bluey if she didn't went on either way.
-In the meantime-
Let's look what Bingo's up to. She was a tad quiet that morning. There was a reason to it for she kind of felt left out. Bluey's got a friend to have a sleep over with and that's during weekday. And she's not allowed to. But the day had just started and she didn't want to spend the time to be down. So she just enjoyed playing with her best friend, Lila. When lunchtime came around the kids were gathered around Mrs Retriever to listen to an announcement. „You see, he has been sick for the past few days. That's why he'll start being with us later today. His father called me earlier. I hope you'll be very nice to him for he lost his mum two years ago. But don't remind him. Does anyone of you have a question?" „Yeah, me" Bingo said. „Could it be that he is a cat? For in my sister's class they got a cat and her brother was sick so she stayed with us." „You're right, Bingo. He's a cat but that shouldn't be a problem. He's a kid just like you. So I want you to be nice to him." „Yes, Mrs Retriever" came the answer from every kid around. 'Maybe I can be friends with him, too. His sister is nice why shouldn't he be?' That's what the little red heeler pup thought. She was going to find out. „Do you wanna play something?" It was Lila who asked and seeing her made Bingo forget what she was thinking about. „Sure. What do you have in mind?" „I don't know. I thought you had an idea. You always have." That left Bingo stunned. She was the one who always had ideas of what to play?
„Kids, come here please." The children gathered around Mrs Retriever. „I want you to meet Kyle. He's new with us so please be nice to him. Do you want to say anything for yourself, Kyle?" „No." 'That was rude' Bingo thought to herself. 'But maybe he's just shy. Let's see how things are going.' „Hey, Kyle. Wanna play with Lila and me?" she offered. „Why should I?" Bingo was taken aback. 'He's not shy' she thought. 'He is rude. He didn't even wait to listen to what we're playing and he refused.' That was hard to understand for a little girl like her who sure enough was overruled by her sister when it comes to playing but even with Bluey as a big sis she could bring up her ideas sometimes. 'I don't understand. His sister is nice although I was a bit mad at her for being a there at home. But he's just plain rude. Fine. If he doesn't want to play I won't force him to.' The little red heeler had made up her mind. „Hey, Lila. Can you ask your parents if you could spend a night with us this weekend? I'll ask mine, too."
A/N: That's it. The sixth chapter is done. Will Bingo have a sleepover with her best friend? Will she be able to befriend Kyle? And will Bluey be able to keep her friendship with Chloe? Stay tuned to find out.
