It didn't take you too long to transfer some of the Eater data to Ruki's Eden Digivice and then copy the programs from her original one to it as well.
Maybe you're a little paranoid, but random digivices just appearing? That's some digidestined bullshit right there. And you might be getting a little glee out of basically fucking over whoever sent the digivces by taking their abilities and transferring them and having to not give services rendered when they eventually and probably call on you.
You don't need no damn dues ex machina backing from mysterious Azulongmon's and shit like the Adventure cast. You are dues ex machina off of your own damn merit.
Still won't say no though when they're basically inviting you to steal the destined power up bullshit for yourself.
Ruki was quite grateful. Literally hugged you before she left after you upgraded her Eden digivice. Of course, her being herself, she couldn't let you get one over her for embarrassing her.
"At this rate, with all the favours piling up from how much you do for me, I'm gonna end up with 'Property of Hayato' tattoo'd on my ass or something." a breathy little whisper in your ear, of something that outrageous, then she blew in your ear, gave your lobe a little gently nibble and then ran off, leaving you with a boner trying to rip its way out of your pants.
You might have took a seat behind your teacher's desk, pulled out those photo's you had of Ruki and jacked one off to the fantasy she put in your head. And if you left cum stains to dry on his desk? Well, that was just unfortunate, wasn't it?
You still took a picture of it, the desk near painted white at parts and sent it to Ruki. Because fuck if she's going to do this bold shit, you can do it back right? And if your dick hung heavy and low in the picture, well you didn't mean that, right?
You rushed home after that. Changing our of your school clothes quickly and heading to the Black Market where you forked over a hundred thousand yen for the Acceleration hacking skill. A bit of a waste of money, since you could make it yourself, but it took quite a bit of time to do so. Speeding up now, was a decent investment as far as you were concerned. You'd make it back easily in the future.
Then you were off to Kowloon for now.
To your glee, there was a guy with some Chrome Digizoid in stock. The only problem was, even for just the meager pieces he was selling them in at the lowest, it was still three hundred thousand yen.
After buying the Accelerator skill, you were down to a mere seventy two thousand yen. You wished you'd done a few more jobs over the past few days.
Honestly, the guy wouldn't even show you it without you showing the cash up front. So you couldn't even copy it to use for yourself at least. Smart of him really, but still really frustrating.
At the very least, he promised to keep a piece in stock for you for a few days.
So, you took up a job. A pretty simple one. Some guy wanted a collection of five different Digi-Eggs. He was apparently turning his private server into some digimon kindergarten or something. Like one of the games where you raised the digimon from babies in groups. You never played it, so you couldn't tell exactly what he was going for.
He was paying seventy five thousand yen for them. Ten thousand a pop per egg, and a twenty five thousand bonus to get it done quickly. Apparently he was convinced you could do it well after he saw the video of your fight against Exveemon on your website that Devidramon uploaded last night.
"Boss," Devidramon piped up as you stepped into Kowloon level 1, "Do me a favour and keep me out of the fighting today okay? There's been a surplus of people visiting the website, and a ton of spam is hitting us because of that video, and a bunch of jobs are flooding in. I'm gonna need time to sort through this."
You rolled your eyes but nodded, "Sure buddy." you replied. You accessed the radar function of your newly upgraded digivice and to you're surprise, there were a bunch of digimon, around seven of them, all clustered together in a small spot of Kowloon level 1.
Very odd. You don't think you've seen that much digimon grouped up so closely before.
You have to admit, that this new radar and compass function installed in your digivice is a godsend for finding digimon. Especially because, these ones all clustered together are really out of the way, pretty much hidden out of the way by a bunch of platforms intersecting.
You would never have found this place if it weren't for this digivice and it made you wonder how long they'd actually been there? Was it like some kind of base these digimon made to run back to and hide after hunting other digimon?
As thanks for the epic functions, when whatever entity is behind giving you and Ruki digivices, you'll make sure to thank before totally blowing off whatever request they have for you. Or before deleting and loading their data. Depends on your mood you suppose.
You raised an eyebrow as you turned around the last corner and found what you were looking for. "Well now, isn't this an interesting development." you commented, looking over the massive dome of ice that was just sitting there hidden out of view.
Not very inconspicuous at all.
You debated whether or not just to break in yourself. With your gauntlets, you didn't really fear any of the chumps that would stick to the lower Kowloon floors like Level 1.
You want to kind of test out Black Greymon X's new power, but more importantly though, you have yet to see Xveemon is a fight, well except against you.
"Exveemon, reload!" you declared, holding your digivice up and releasing your newest digimon.
A grin appeared on his draconian face when he saw the massive ice dome, "Oh-ho! so we are storming an enemies base today my lord?" he asked eagerly.
"Something like that," you replied. You beckoned him to follow you and then walked over to the ice dome.
Winding up a punch when you were within range and smashing open a large hole that blew shards of ice everywhere.
"Wow, it's pretty big inside here." you whistled, stepping in.
"The villainous types do tend to like their grandeur bases." Exveemon agreed with a a sage nod.
As soon as you entered and adjusted to the lightning, you blinked. "Well, now that's new." you commented in surprise.
Because stuck in blocks of ice littering the floor inside the ice dome, were a variety of digimon.
A Snow Agumon was in the ice closest to you. Kind of amusing to see an ice based digimon frozen over. Ironic. there was also a Kudamon, a Keramon, a Solarmon and a Tentomon as far as rookies went.
And then at the end of the line of ice statues, there were a pair of towering Tyrannomon frozen over.
"Well if they're just there for the taking.." you trailed off with a grin, pulling out your digivice and swiping a card through it, "Exveemon, Digi-Modify - Power Activate!"
"Oooh I feel power welling up inside of me! ORAAAAAA!" Exveemon shouted, clenching his fists. He stepped forward, the X on his chest lighting up with an orange gold light, "Allow me to dispatch these ones my lord!" X-laser!" he crossed his arms over his chest, before jerking them back and firing a massive laser beam in the shape of an X.
The laser shot forth and the ice sculptures one by one were erased from existence as the laser tore through them, continued on and ploughed through the other end of the ice dome with ease.
All that was left of the frozen digimon was a literal ocean of different colored particals of data floating in the air.
Exveemon grinned and turned to you, opening his mouth to say something before being cut off. "..Well now, that was quite ruthless." a smooth voice cut in from above. "I'm quite impressed by your willingness to destroy even those helpless digimon I put up for show, tamer." weirdly its voice could be considered both male or female by the tone of it, that was how soft it was.
You weren't gonna lie, that was one nice voice.
Following the voice, you and Exveemon looked up to find a white mirror image of your Devimon. "Huh, an IceDevimon." you commented nonchalantly.
Ice Devimon floating at the roof of the ice dome grinned, showing off its razor sharp fangs, "Yes indeed, I am Ice Devimon," it swept one awkwardly long white arm over its chest and bowed to you, "I set those foolish digimon up to as a show for when I found a tamer I could be proud to call my own and show off the fruits of my strength."
Standing back up out of its bow, IceDevimon swept its arms out wide in an inviting gesture, "I have to admit, I'm impressed both by your Exveemon's strength and your own pragmatism," it continued, then pulled one arm back and held it out as if inviting you to take its hand, "What do you say tamer? Will you allow me to become your digimon and make me stronger?"
"You know, I kind of like your style," you commented at the Icedevimon's offer. And really, a decently powerful champion is outright asking to become your champion. "Sure, I'm game."
"Marvellous," Icedevimon beamed, then swept his hands through the data floating in the air, "Then please, as a gesture of my good faith, do as you will with this data."
"Well, I do need a bunch of Digi-eggs for a job I'm doing so don't mind if I do," you took him op on his offer and raised your digivice into the air and scanned half of the data in the air.
You let loose a whistle when you outright managed to snag four digimon skills. This was definitely worth the trip for that alone. And you got seven eggs, and enough to finish your job. Go you!
2 Koromon eggs, 1 Tsumemon egg, 1 Kapurimon, 1 Kyaromon, 1 Nyaromon and 1 Motimon.
"Right then, now that that's done, why don't you two load the rest of it?" you suggested, "We'll get a ton more once we go down to Level 2, but the little boost you'd get from these scrubs will help out at least a little."
"Really?" Icedevimon hummed in interest, "I tried to enter level 2 a few days ago but was forced to flee because of how strong even the rookie's are on that level. If you are strong enough for that level I'm really glad I managed to join you now."
"Haha, fear not new comrade!" Xveemon butt in with a joyful laugh, "I myself am a digimon that came from the level 2 of Kowloon and our lord Hayato here defeated me in single combat without even having to use one of the digimon. Indeed, just this morning the other digimon easily destroyed an Ultimate level in the real world in under a minute!" the mythical dragon digimon boasted proudly.
"Defeated a digimon of your calibur without a digimon?" IceDevimon gasped and looked at you wide eyed, "No wonder you were so confident in heading to lev-"
IceDevimon was cut off as the ice dome rattled and began to dissolve. "What!?" the fallen angel digimon gasped in shock, looking wide eyed at his dissolving base."
Your digivice beeped and you looked down to see the radar function pop up, and a dot appearing near you, just outside the dome, only to glitch and disappear, then re-appear and repeat.
Seconds later, the ice dome fully disappeared and wriggling along like an ugly worm abomination was a Data Eater.
"No!" IceDevimon gasped, "We must flee, even with all of my power come to bare, I could barely scratch one of these!"
"Ohoh!?" Xveemon hummed in interest, "Then it must be a strong opponent then!" he stepped forward, punching a fist into a palm eager for a fight.
"Don't worry, you guys just load that data, this won't take long," you told them then stepped forward to face the Data Eater. It noticed you moving towards it instantly and started making a beeline for you. You held up one gauntlet clad hand, and bright red glow hummed into life at the palm of your hand. "Nuclear Laser!" you declared, and shot froth a massive beam of red energy, larger than you were tall.
Seconds later the the Data Eater was wiped out of existence by your attack, and hundreds of metres away, there was a massive explosion where your attack struck something in the distance.
"...I could barely damage one with all of my power, yet you defeated it in one blow...in an instant..." Ice Devimon gaped at your power.
"Haha! As expected of my lord!" Exveemon just laughed proudly, walking forward to give you a firm pat on the shoulder.
Loading the data of the Eater had been a gamble. You had used up the last of the leftover data you had from the first one giving Ruki's digivice that little upgrade so she could take her digimon between Eden and the real world. And then there was the fact that it had made your body stronger overall when you got its data.
Before loading it, you made sure to get your two digimon to load the rest of the other data floating around before putting them in your digivice. You had half expected to find yourself back in your bedroom after getting booted out of Eden once more.
But to your surprise, you were fine. Better than fine in fact. Hell, you'd had the urge to let loose some energy and take a jog. Only, when you tried you accelerated so quickly you smashed into a wall in the blink of an eye.
You got a good chuckle out of it.
After that you used the Gate program to leave Kowloon level 1 and jumped to Level 2 using the URL.
You weren't quite as cocky to walk into Kowloon level 2 yourself, at least not yet. So you released Exveemon and Ice Devimon.
The second you entered into the first room, you were surprised to find a Zaxxon member just beside the entrance to the room, with a massive Tyrannomon standing by his side.
You'd heard Zaxxon posted guards in the lower floors of Kowloon but hadn't thought it was true.
"Yo." the guy gave a lazy wave as you entered, "Just a warning if you're going in deeper bro, there's a Seadramon on the loose, really powerful, pretty much on the cusp of hitting the Ultimate level."
You raised an eyebrow, "Nobody trying to hunt it from Zaxxon?" you asked.
"Nah, no need," he replied casually leaning on the wall, "We're warned off of hunting alone so nothing bad happens and we lose our mons, boss Yuugo organises hunting trips so we lower guys can get stronger safely. It won't come this way since it ran away from one of our higher members, so the only ones chasing it have been guys from other gangs, but they've just gave it more data to munch on after it destroyed their digimon."
Huh, that Seadramon must be pretty damn powerful if its running wild on level 2 and destroying and loading the data of digimon from hackers who can actually regularly hunt on level .
Well then, you better get to that damn thing fast. You don't want it munching on the rest of the digimon and hitting the Ultimate level. Somehow, you don't think it'd be as easy a fight as the Metal Tyrannomon this morning.
Seadramon is a data type though. So virus types would be your best bet. You quickly returned Xveemon to your digivice and brought out Devimon and Black Greymon X.
"Looks like we've got a big fight huh!" Black Greymon X cheered.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Ice Devimon commented worriedly, "I like to think I'm strong Hayato, but I won't be able to do much at all against a beast like that."
"Best just get used ta' it," Devimon sighed, crossing his arms and giving his ice counterpart a pityng look, "Dis guy is absolutely crazy unless you ain't got da memo yet."
Pulling up your digivice again, you brought up the map function. immediately you saw a nine dots of varying sizes. The smaller ones all rushing towards your location, and two of them just about a hundred feet away from you and closing in.
The three biggest were all facing off. Well two of them were facing off against an even bigger one. Oh no wait, one just disappeared and the other turned to flee. You assumed Seadramon just deleted one of them and is in the process of loading its data now.
That could be bad, because that was obviously another champion level.
"Right, we gotta go fast guys!" you shouted. Running over to Black Greymon X you jumped on his back and climbed up to his shoulder, "Go go!" you urged him, pointing in the direction towards Seadramon.
"Got it boss!" Black Greymon X cheered at the thought of a fight and surged forward rapidly. You cast an eye over your shoulder to see both Devimon's flying behind you two.
Seconds later, from the opening of the next area you saw an Impmon and a Gotsumon running out. Their eyes immedaitely widened when they saw the massive form of your Black Greymon X barrelling towards them.
They tried to change directions, but you were having none of that. A little boost from those two could be a big help.
"Take them out Greymon!" you ordered your giant digital dinosaur who grunted and nodded, opening his mouth and firing a wave of white hot flame at the two.
"Mega Flame!" he roared.
You followed his lead, thrusting your hand up and firing your own attack, "Nuclear Laser!"
The twin attacks washed over the two before they could react and tore them from existence, leaving only two different types of data floating in the air.
"You two!" you shouted over your shoulder at the two fallen angel digimon lagging slightly behind, "Load it as you go!" you ordered.
Black Greymon X had way more power than those two as it were, so a boost for the two to help out more would be a big help in taking out this Seadramon.
"Boss dis is crazy!" Devimon complained, speeding up a bit as he absorbed the data he flew through and got even quicker.
Ice Devimon beside him actually laughed, "What speed! What power!" the ice digimon gushed at your actions, "Truly you are a tamer without equal Hayato!"
Was that a blush on the ice demons cheeks?
You shook your head, and looked down at your digivice, seeing another two red dots that you were closing in on, and another two a ways back following them.
You watched the massive dot that was Seadramon seem to lash out at the other, before it started to rapidly turn your way on the radar and escape away from the wannabe ultimate sea serpent digimon.
"Heads up, two more incoming!" you shouted, raising your arm up and charging your attack once more.
"Mega Flame!" Black Greymon X shouted instantly, and you didn't even get to see the two digimon come into view before the massive wave of flames shot across and burned them out of view.
Better follow his lead!
"Nuclear Laser!"
"Tundra Freeze!"
"Demon Ray!"
Following your massive red beam of power, a similar black one joined it, and twin smaller narrow blue beams.
The explosion that ensued shook the area mightily and left a twenty foot crater in the platform and two clouds of data floating in the air.
"Your turn Greymon, take it all!" you ordered as he blitzed toward the data cloud.
Black Greymon X jumped the crater, soaring through the allowing his speed to slow enough for the data to trail after his form and get loaded as he landed.
"This is too slow," you cursed. Even with this speed, you might not get there in time to stop it from loading the other champion. Gotta go faster.
Turning, you lifted your digivice and brought back the two Devimon. Then you pulled a specific card from your card box, "Black Greymon X! Digi-modify! Hyper Speed Activate!"
As soon as Black Greymon X landed on the ground, he accelerated forward at a speed three times that of what it was before he loaded that data and got boosted by the card.
You blinked and you were already into the next area, bowling over a Betamon and another digimon that you didn't quite see. Because Black Greymon X literally trampled them to death, leaving a cloud of data in your wake.
You quickly turned on your Visualizer skill and went into thermal vision mode. You grinned as you saw two serpent that you were rapidly closing in one, one much bigger than the other towering up off of the ground, Seadramon and another that was closing in on the gate into the section you were in, much smaller than Seadramon and flying through the air. An Airdramon.
"Greymon, get ready!" you shouted loudly over the loud wind passing by from his sheer speed, "Follow my attack and take out the Airdramon with me!" you lifted your hand and charged the red laser in your palm.
The very second you passed into the next area, you took aim and fired, "Nuclear Laser!"
The Airdramon was so focused on dodging the massive Seadramon behind it, it didn't notice as your attack washed over it and struck it from the sky.
"Mega Flame!" Black Greymon X followed up, erasing it from existence with another white hot ocean of flame and turning it into data.
Seadramon shrieked so loudly in rage you thought your eardrums were going to rupture, "You dare attempt to steal my prey foolish human and pathetic digimon pet!?" the massive sea serpent coiled up, towering up easily a hundred feet in the air even coiled, getting ready to lash out and strike.
Right, you quickly let the power of Hyper Speed fade from your digivice, and quickly got ready to swipe any of the four cards you needed, whether that be offense or defence.
Only, Seadramon wasn't attacking...?
It was drawing Airdramon's data to it!
You quickly thrust out digivice up into the air, "Reload! Devimon! Ice Devimon!" you blurted rapidly, sending out your two fallen angel digimon into the air above you, "Quick load that data!"
The two demons snapped into action instantly and began pulling the data towards them. Only, between the two of the, they only got half of it. Seadramon succeeded in getting half of it to itself!
"Shit!" you swiped one of the cards through your digivice, just as Seadramon exploded into a blinding white light, "Black Greymon X! Digi-modify! Power Activate!"
"Seadramon digivolve to...!"
Faster! You had to move faster!"
"Black Greymon X! Digi-Modify! Data Killer Activate!" you practically roared as you swiped the second card through your digivice, even as Seadramon grew even larger, growing and growing until it was easily twice as long as it was before.
"Greymon, full power now!" you screamed urgently, desperation beginning to cloud your voice. This thing would make Metal Tyrannomon look like a joke!
"Mega Seadramon!" the newly digivolved ultimate declared to the world as the light receded to show its new, crimson scaled Ultimate level form.
"Mega Burst!" Black Greymon X shouted just then, unleashing his strongest attack boosted to the very limit. As a Virus digimon, he already did double damage to Data type digimon, on top of that, you doubled his power and gave him the Data-Killer boost, with all that, he woild be doing eight times as much damage to a data type digimon like Mega Seadramon.
Caught up as it was from digivolving, the newly evolved Mega Seadramon had no time to dodge the massive beam of white hot plasma that left your giant dinosaur's maw
"Nice try human!" Mega Seadramon gloated after Black Greymon X's attack dissipated. "You were close, but no cigar!" lightning sparked over its massive speared helmet.
To be fair, the ultimate sea serpent's body was burned all over and smoke rising steadily. It even twitched and spasmed all over. Still, it was a testament to how strong Mega Seadramon was, since Black Greymon X alone should be as strong as an Ultimate level at this point at least.
Even as it talked though, you were already moving. "Come back!" you shouted, thrusting your digivice up and sucking both Devi's back in instantly. Then you swiped a card with all the enhanced speed you had from loading the power of two Data Eater's.
"Lightning Javelin!"
"Black Greymon X! Digi-Modify! Alias Activate!"
Data Killer receeded from your digivice, and suddenly you and Black Greymon X were fifty feet forward, much closer to Mega Seadramon as the massive bolt of lightning it discharged from its speared head struck the clone of your digimon that was left behind, the pillar of lightning blotting even a frame the same as your Black Greymon X's from view.
You weren't going to pass this chance up. "Black Greymon X! Digi-Modify! Paildramon's Desperado Blasters Activate!" you swiped another card as Alias faded.
Just as Mega Seadramon's eyes widened and it realized it missed you, the blasters appeared at Black Greymon X's waist.
Black Greymon X jerked to the right, slightly before Mega Seadramon roared and lunged that way to dodge, how he predicted it would, you have do idea.
"Desperado Blaster!"
"No!" Mega Seadramon screamed, "I was so close! I'll get you for this! Mark my words human!" it raged upon the realization that it was predicted and threatened even as the bullets tore through its face and it burst into data.
The amount of red data it left behind blotted the sky from view.
