Our beloved protagonist was once again in another dragon training session together with his companions and companions... Although he didn't expect much from them, but this he put aside and paid attention to the words of the man he saw as a father.
"Today it's all about attacking!" shouted Gobber loud enough with the intention of making all his recruits listen. "The Nadder are fast and agile, therefore, they are very dangerous," he explained with absolute seriousness and watched as his students applied the things he had taught them over the past few days.
Balrock walked fearlessly through the labyrinth, but unlike his companions he was not on guard, so his axe and shield were hanging lazily from his hands.
"Your task is to be faster and more agile!" said Mouth loudly with the intention of being heard by his recruits and incidentally distracting the dragon a bit, a little help to his students on his part.
The teenager with tousled black spiky hair heard Fishleg's shrieks of fear and almost an instant later saw the deadly Nadder use its tail to shoot a dozen poisonous spines at the sturdy boy.
I'm starting to question your teaching methods!
Balrock couldn't help but chuckle because they really didn't know the blacksmith and his ways of teaching, the old Viking was a bit crazy as a teacher, but his methods were worth it.
"Look for his blind spot! Every dragon has one," assured Gobber with a somewhat bored expression. "Find it, take refuge in it, and attack!" he exclaimed.
The Saiyan had an excellent angle to take down the dragon, but now that he had a friendly connection with a certain Night Fury he saw these creatures differently and had a hard time physically assaulting them... Unless they attacked him directly, but that was another matter.
Don't you ever take a bath? If you don't like it, find your own blind spot ... How about I give one to you?
Balrock again chuckled at the typical bickering between the twins, who ran past him trying to lose the Nadder in their impromptu escape.
"Blind spot, yes. Deaf spot, not so much," Gobber commented with renewed boredom and somewhat disappointed.
Our beloved protagonist watched with amusement as the bird-like dragon chased the twins by helping himself to the bars and the top of the wooden maze.
"Balrock! Stop walking quietly and fight!" ordered Gobber with a hint of annoyance because he had seen him for quite a while now doing nothing.
The teenager with tousled black spiky hair reluctantly stopped what he was doing.
"Yes, yes, I'm coming..." Balurorock muttered reluctantly and then began to trot through the labyrinth, with the intention of pretending he was doing something.
Suddenly, the Saiyan ran into a boy and a girl who didn't like him very much.
"Stop looking at us like an idiot and duck!" ordered Astrid with an angry expression because she couldn't stand the laid-back attitude of the city outcast.
Again reluctantly, Balrock did as he was ordered, but suddenly something happened... the dragon let out a roar and started running towards his position.
"Shit..." whispered Astrid with a touch of fear as she saw that she had ruined (she wasn't going to admit it in front of anyone) her surprise attack, but she quickly recovered and decided to make a "tactical retreat".
The dark-eyed teenager watched as his two "comrades" fled and left him alone to fight the angry and hungry dragon, but to his surprise the latter ignored him and followed a certain Viking duo.
Careful, baby. I got this (Snotlout) ... You're an idiot (Astrid) ... I'm blinded by the sunlight, Astrid... What do you want me to do? Block out the sun? I could do that, but I don't have time right now! (Snotlout).
Our beloved protagonist shook his head at Snotlout's comments, and at the same time watched with amusement as the Deadly Nadder made a mess of the wooden maze in an attempt to try to capture its human prey.
"Balrock, react!" said Gobber loudly as he saw that his blacksmith's assistant hadn't even attempted to attack the ferocious dragon.
The teenager with tousled black spiky hair listened to the order of the older Viking, but at the same time he saw out of the corner of his eye how a certain blonde with blue eyes was running over the wooden blocks used in the maze, the latter was doing this because she was trying to run away from the Nadder... But unfortunately she ran out of road and had no choice but to jump with her double-edged axe; although she did not expect that in her way was a certain fool with black hair with a tousled tip, therefore, she ended up impacting her white weapon on the shield of the latter, at least the fool had reflexes.
"Drop the shield!" commanded Astrid in almost uncontrollable fury at the realization that she had been saved in a roundabout way by Loki's accursed "son"... But, on the other hand, if the latter had not been in her way it is possible that she would have broken a leg.
Balrock had no trouble heeding this command and dropped the shield with the bald axe on it.
Love on the battlefield ... I could date someone better.
The Saiyan rolled his eyes at the twins' comments, but suddenly saw the Nadder emerge from the shattered wood of the maze and start running at high speed towards a certain blue-eyed blonde, but the latter managed to hit the ferocious creature with his axe causing the embedded shield to shatter when it came into contact with the latter's head... Apparently his help was never needed.
"Well done, Astrid," congratulated Gobber with a small smile. "And you, Balrock... Let play on the training field," he said, the moment he wiped the smile from his lips and instead folded his arms with an annoyed expression.
The coal-dark-eyed teenager shrugged with a small amused smile, which did not go unnoticed by a certain blue-eyed blonde.
"Does this look like some kind of joke to you?" asked Astrid as she walked toward the town pariah and stood in front of him angrily.
Balrock was a little surprised at the fury that the blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl gave off from every pore of her skin.
"Our parents' war is about to become ours... or at least our parents'," said Astrid remarking a certain word in a cruel and mocking way.
Our beloved protagonist lowered his head, with a hurt expression at the blonde's words.
"But you still have to choose which side you're on," Astrid added coldly as she turned around and left.
The teenager with tousled spiky black hair stood motionless with his gaze on the ground.
"I'll be the one to end this senseless war..." muttered Balrock with a great determination, once he lifted his gaze from the ground and looked at the cloudy sky.
A hand was rested on the Saiyan's shoulder.
"Don't mind her, boy! She's like that with everyone," assured Gobber with an amused tone.
Balrock shrugged his shoulders without giving much importance to the verbal attack of a certain blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl.
"Go clear your mind for a few hours and come back in the evening for dinner," Gobber said with a small smile. "I'll bring dessert today," he added with amusement.
The coal-dark-eyed teenager blinked several times in complete surprise at the blacksmith's invitation, but nodded his head enthusiastically anyway.
One Hour Later
Our beloved protagonist was running at a great speed through the forest of Berk, until he suddenly reached the small lake where a certain flying lizard was.
"Thor, my friend, I'm back!" warned DarkRock in a loud voice.
Again he was greeted by a plasma ball (this one came from another direction), which the tousle-tipped black-haired teenager dodged with no trouble.
"I missed you too," Balrock assured him with a smile. "By the way, I brought some more fish," he commented, as he set down a sack full of fish.
The Night Fury was thrilled at the 'human's' words and immediately headed for the sack of fish.
"You know, Thor... We can roast them and they will be exquisite!" exclaimed Balrock quite excitedly because he was preparing a delicious fish with some herbs from the same island of Berk.
Rivers of drool began to fall from the mighty dragon and he was not the only one because moments later he was followed by the Saiyan.
In The Night
As a certain older Viking had requested, Balrock kept his promise and came to dine with the group of recruits, where the former was telling a story.
"And all at once... he tore off my hand and ate it!" exclaimed Gobber dramatically. "I saw the expression on his face... I was delicious. Word must have gotten out... because it wasn't a month before someone else tore my leg off," he revealed as he showed off his wooden leg.
The Saiyan listened attentively to his boss's story because despite having heard it dozens of times, it still didn't bore him and the dramatics made it even better.
"Isn't it weird for you to think that your hand was inside a dragon? Imagine if your mind could still control it... and you could kill the dragon from the inside, crushing its heart," Fishleg commented with a dreamy look.
That really was an interesting thought in Balrock's opinion, but the same could not be said for the other recruits because they looked at the stout boy as if he was crazy.
"I am so furious. I'll avenge your beautiful hand, and your beautiful foot too," Snotlout promised with his gaze fixed on his roasted chicken. "I'll rip the legs off every dragon that stands in front of me, with my teeth," he added with a wide grin that exposed his crooked teeth.
The Saiyan rolled his eyes at the tribal heir's words.
"What you really want are the wings and tail. If it can't fly, it can't escape," Gobber said with his gaze on his roasted chicken. "A downed dragon is a dead dragon," he added with total assurance.
Balrock had had enough of this group dinner and took advantage of the moment when his boss yawned to leave quietly.
"Well, I'm going to bed. You guys should do the same," Gobber advised with a tired expression. "Tomorrow we get the big boys, slowly but surely... we move on to the Monstrous Nightmare."
Astrid who had been slyly watching Balrock all this time noticed when the latter got up to leave before dinner was over, she got up with the intention of following him, but stopped dead in her tracks when she heard that dragon's name.
"But who will win the honor of killing her?" asked Gobber with a mysterious tone.
The blue-eyed blonde was somewhat regretful of the things she had said to Balrock, but her future as a dragon-hunting Viking was stronger and she preferred to stay with her comrades.
The Other Day
A certain teenager with eyes as dark as coal arrived in the blink of an eye at the small lake where his flying friend was.
"Hello, Thor!" exclaimed Balrock when he saw how a certain lazy dragon had been sleeping, maybe it was a bad idea to spoil him so much.
Anyway, our beloved protagonist was greeted by a plasma ball, which he again dodged without problems and even saw it getting slower and slower... Or was he getting faster? Whatever it was, he quickly put it aside.
"I missed you too... Here's your breakfast," Balrock said as he set down a sack full of fish at his feet.
The Night Fury obviously went from annoyance to happiness at the large amount of fish... Although he immediately let out a grunt of disgust and anger when he saw something among the fish that he didn't like at all.
"What's the matter, Thor? ... Don't you like eels?" asked Balrock with a curious expression at the flying reptile's reaction.
The peculiar dragon shook his head in obvious revulsion at the very idea of that nasty snake being around.
"I see... Fine, then I'll eat it myself," Balrock said smoothly as he stretched out his right arm with the intention of pulling out the eel.
The Night Fury called "Thor" watched in horror as the "human" roasted that disgusting creature and ate it as if it were a delicacy.
One Hour Later
Balrock was in another training class with a bucket of water because today apparently it would be something intense because the door containing the dragon exploded, but curiously this one resisted the creature's attack.
"Today is about teamwork," said Gobber with a touch of enthusiasm when he saw the dragon that his students would have to face.
Our beloved protagonist along with his classmates were almost nothing away from being engulfed in a cloud of gas that with a single spark could generate a large amount of fire.
"A wet dragon's head cannot ignite fire. The Cremallerus Espantosus is very deceptive... One head exhales gas, and the other head sets it on fire," Gobber explained with an attentive expression and letting it be seen that he was pleased with his position as instructor/teacher. "Your job is to figure out which is which," he added this time with a small smile.
Balrock was enveloped by the cloud of gas and quickly paid attention to his surroundings, until suddenly someone crashed into his back.
"Sharp, serrated teeth that inject poison for predigestion. It prefers to ambush, it crushes its victims..." Fishleg was talking non-stop.
The teenager with tousled black spiky hair didn't know what to make of all that information and instead decided to ignore the stout boy's mutterings.
If that dragon shows any of its faces, I'm gonna... There! (Snotlout) ... It's us, idiots! (Ruffnut) ... Their butts have grown. We thought they were a dragon (Tuffnut) ... Not that there's anything wrong with having a dragon figure... (Snotlout).
Balrock chuckled because once again the twins were doing their thing together with Snotlout, besides it seemed that the latter received a punch from one of the two girls, possibly Astrid... Although he suddenly became serious when he heard the scream of terror of one of the twins, Tuffnut.
Wait (Astrid) ... Oh, that hurt me! I'm hurt!
The coal-black-eyed teenager dodged the twin who almost collided with him.
"The chances of survival are almost nil now," Fishleg commented, very frightened.
Balrock ignored the words of the sturdy boy because he saw one of the heads of the peculiar dragon coming out of the gas cloud, but instead of attacking him, he attacked his companion who immediately threw the water over the head.
"... W-Wrong head," Fishleg said very nervously because now he had no water to defend himself against the other head... But this was the least of it because suddenly the water-soaked head rose above him with dangerous intent.
Our beloved protagonist seeing that his teammate was about to be attacked by the dragon decided to act and quickly stepped between his comrade and the peculiar creature.
"Balrock! What the hell are you doing!" demanded Gobber with a tone that made clear his concern for the safety of the boy he saw as a son.
The Saiyan ignored the old Viking's words and instead used his "killer instinct" against the beast in front of him, plus a few words to make it more dramatic.
"Back, back, back!" said Balrock with his arms in front of him. "Go back to your cave, lizard..." he whispered those last words coldly.
The Cremallerus Espantosus froze as he felt a murderous rage that made him shrink as if he were a damned hatchling just out of the egg and when he saw that it was that "human" he couldn't help but start backing away from that monster, until without realizing it he entered his prison again.
"And don't move from there!" exclaimed Balrock again dramatically as he closed the big wooden door, but not before slyly throwing two fish he had hidden under his vest as a form of apology to the poor frightened dragon. "Huh?" he said with a hint of surprise as he turned around.
The other recruits along with their old instructor watched dumbfounded at the feat of the exotic black haired boy because they had never seen a dragon back away in fear like that, not even the great Viking Stoic 'the Vast' had provoked something like that in dragons.
"Are we done yet? Because I have some things I have to do," Balrock stated nervously as he saw that he was the center of attention of everyone present. "Well, see you tomorrow!" he saluted loudly, only to turn and run out of the training cage.
The Vikings never took their eyes off the boy who had scared a dragon with his presence alone and stood in the middle of the caged arena for about a full minute.
With Balrock
Our beloved protagonist arrived faster than usual to the lake where the mysterious dragon with shiny and beautiful black scales was located.
"Thor, my friend!" greeted Balrock loudly when he saw that a certain lazy reptile had been sleeping.
He was greeted with his typical plasma ball, which the tousle-tipped black-haired teen dodged by dodging to the side.
"Yeah, I missed you too... Now, do you want to go out and fly?" asked Balrock casually... Yes, the dragon took him out flying yesterday when they finished eating the fish and it was quite amusing to the point of possibly becoming an obsession of his.
The Night Fury nodded his head, very enthusiastic and immediately grabbed the "human" with his tail and put him on his back so that not a second later they shot off into the sky at great speed.
"I would love to be able to fly like your Thor..." Balrock murmured with a dreamy look as he imagined himself in the sky with his flying friend.
The dragon heard the words of the 'human' on his back, so, without thinking twice, he decided to grant his wish and turned around, causing the Saiyan to fall... He never expected this because such was his surprise that it took him a few seconds to analyze his life or death situation.
"T-THOR, DAMN! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" shouted Balrock with anger and horror for the situation he was living in the flesh because of the flying lizard.
The Night Fury watched from a good distance as the black-eyed human tried to "fly" waving his arms desperately, but obviously failed and fell into the void accompanied by a shriek of pure horror... In his opinion everything that happened was really sublime and very funny.
{CRACK!}
Thor nodded his head, very satisfied. Yes, it was worth it to see all that happened with the black-haired "human"... He was also surprised to see him come out of the sea alive, hurt and angry, but alive and soaking wet; maybe he should get him out of the water before he catches a cold and with that in mind he headed towards Balrock.
