Haru: Hello Hakuno-chan! I was wondering if you are busy today?
Hakuno: Am hanging out with a friend… Do you wish to join?
"Wait what?" Futaba gave her a death glare. From what little Hakuno has seen from Haru… the fluffy-haired girl would be a good person to help Futaba. She seemed generally nice, and Hakuno didn't get any weird feelings from her… Plus... Hakuno had a feeling that Haru herself needed more friends.
Haru: Oh my… I don't want to intrude.
Hakuno: You wont be, she needs to meet more people 2birds1stone
Haru: … Well if you insist!
Hakuno: Will meet you at Yongen-Jaya station, we can get lunch at a cafe.
Futaba's lips moved but she didn't make any sounds, "Taba… you are going to have to be able to talk to other people. More so if you want to join us on our missions."
Futaba scrunched her nose, "Mrrr I can talk to Akira! And Morgana! Ain't that enough? And! Haru isn't even a Phantom Thief!"
"Yes… but our missions take us to other places, would you be able to handle going to say… Shibuya's Central Street during the day? That's where Kaneshiro's palace was located."
Futaba's eyes darted between her computer and the door, "...Maybe?"
"Haru's nice so you don't have to worry about her being mean." Hakuno placed her hand on Futaba's head, "You got this don't you?"
Futaba was quiet as she nodded her eyes shined with resolution, "Ok let's do this!"
Hakuno waved as she saw Haru, Futaba had joined her in waiting for the fluffy-haired girl. Although… Hakuno had to endure Futaba's crushing grip as even though the station in Yongen-Jaya wasn't busy at this time of day it still had some people.
Every time someone got close to the pair Futaba's grip got tighter, Hakuno could even see Futaba's eyes were closed until she felt there was no one near…
"Hello, Hakuno-Chan!" Haru was her generally cheerful self, her white gloves seemed slightly off to Hakuno but she chose to ignore it. "And… you must be Futaba-chan?"
Futaba cracked her eyes open, seeing the few people around she removed her arm around Hakuno's own, "Y-yeah… 'M Futaba Sakura." Hakuno was proud.
"Oh, aren't you adorable!" Haru gushed. It was true, Futaba was adorable.
"Come on, let's go see Sojiro, only a few minutes walk." Hakuno glanced as Futaba was still slightly nervous, so she held onto Futaba's hand. Futaba stiffened slightly and Hakuno could've sworn she heard Haru say something, but her hand was over her mouth. Futaba relaxed as the trio made their way out of the station.
"Oh my… this is a lovely cafe, I love the rustic decor." Hakuno has never seen someone's eyes grow so large, her eyes were practically shining.
"Welcome," Sojiro turned around with a slight smile on his face, the cafe was empty as it typically was, "Futaba, Hakuno who's this?"
"Hello! I'm Haru, Hakuno-chan's friend!"
"Sojirroooo!" Futaba broke from Hakuno's arm as she shifted into a bar seat, "I hunger!"
"Coming right up." He glanced at Hakuno and Haru, "Come on now you two, what would you have?" Hakuno sat on Futaba's right as Haru sat at the edge, next to an assortment of books.
"Maybe something less bitter than last time?" Hakuno replied, Haru's eyes still danced at the cascade of beans on the shelf.
"I'll trust your judgment Sakura-San."
"Oh please… just call me Boss." Sojiro had a smirk on his face, his hands moved with deft precision as he prepared the multiple orders. The curry and coffee came out at record speed.
Futaba wolfed down the curry as Hakuno enjoyed her cup, slightly nutty and sweet. Hakuno had no idea what type of coffee it was but it was certainly something she could appreciate.
"Oh my, this is simply exquisite!" Haru's body relaxed, and Hakuno completely understood, Wakaba's recipe mixed with Sojiro's care and love for it made something that could pierce anyone's heart.
Sojiro's face morphed into a smirk as Futaba spoke up, "Of course! Mom's recipe is the best!"
A flash of emotions came across Haru's face, Hakuno wasn't sure exactly what it was as it quickly changed to her normal expression… Some small talk about the amazing curry happened.
Sojiro glanced at the clock before he spoke up, "Why don't you three head to the house? My regulars should be here soon…" Hakuno nodded, a walk towards the station and introducing Futaba to a new person would be a lot to take in for her, meeting Sojiro's regulars could be bad more so if they start to question her…
The bell jingled, and a slightly familiar teen in a tan suit appeared, Hakuno froze as he entered, her instincts screaming at her to escape "...Who?" Hakuno felt the hairs on the back of her neck rise, Avenger's mad cackle came from somewhere deep inside of her very soul as if he was ready to fight to survive.
The man seemed taken aback before chuckling, "Apologies for that, it's rare for a day to pass where I'm not recognized." He stood up straight, a fake smile on his face as he spoke, "I am Goro Akechi. It is a pleasure to meet you?"
Futaba eeped as she hid behind Hakuno, Haru's eyes focused on the man, "Oh my? Why is the Second Detective Prince in a small cafe such as this?"
"I could say the same thing about you Okumura-san to think someone of your class would come here." He motioned his head towards Sojiro, "I am a regular here … Sae-san introduced me and well," He shrugged, "I have fallen in love with this cozy slice of heaven."
Hakuno didn't miss how Haru stiffened when he said her last name. Sojiro glanced at Futaba as Hakuno nodded, "Apologies, but we were just leaving."
"Have a good day, Okumura-San and friends." Akechi's smile sent shivers down Hakuno's spine as they brushed past him, Haru quickly paid as she joined the pair outside, which thankfully was deserted.
"Sorry about that Haru…"
"Oh no…" Haru's expression fell slightly, "I understand…" Haru's phone blared as she winced, "Sorry… I have to take this." Haru walked slightly out of sight.
"How are you feeling Taba?" Futaba wasn't clinging to her, and seemed to have calmed down… When that thing is inside Leblanc…
Maybe he was armed? She heard rumors that the previous detective prince carried a real gun… Maybe this one did as well?
Futaba took a deep breath, "I'll be ok." Futaba gave off a weak smile as Haru emerged, pure annoyance flashed on her face.
"Sorry you two… I have to go… Family obligations." Hakuno was upset that their hangout was cut short, but before she could say anything Futaba had steeled herself as she walked in front of Haru.
"Contact information!?" Futaba half shouted her arms shoving her phone forward. Hakuno was just as surprised as the fluffy-haired girl who smiled softly at the young girl.
"Of course~"

Catburglar: Everyone meet up at 7 by the Giza line?
Makoto: Sounds good.
ART: I believe I will join in the festivities as well, my Yukata is ready.
Pirateboi: You got one to…? Akira tell me I wont be the only one in normal clothes.
Tricky&Kitty: No…
Catburglar: Why dont you come without your glasses?
Hakunon: Your glasses are fake right?
Makoto: What's the point in that?
Tricky&Kitty: Hmm, sure, not as if they are real.
Pirateboi: Theyre FAKE!?
MemeQueen: Have fun kids!
Hakuno had worn her snow-white yukata, the simple flower designs were vaguely in the shape of roses and sakura flowers, and her obi had vague cube designs and was a dull purple.
Hakuno had managed to pack a surprise in her Regalia and planned to use her small bag to hide it…
The three girls had found each other first, pausing for a moment to take a few pictures they looked around for the boys, "Hey there over there!" Ann was the first to notice, Yusuke was talking to two girls who had approached the trio.
"That's enough!" The trio of girls were coming closer to them as Yusuke shouted, "You're disgracing your yukata. You should be more aware of your womanhood."
Ah.
So they were being 'picked up.'
"How could you?" Yusuke glanced at the trio of girls, the only guy that seemed to notice their final approach.
"Why don't you go after them then?" Ann's voice was sharp an edge that made Hakuno glad that it wasn't being aimed at her.
"Morgana… come over here." Hakuno crouched down as Morgana came over, "Found this…"
It was a small blue and yellow cat yukata.
Morgana looked at it in confusion, "Is this…?"
"It's a little Yukata if you want to join in." Hakuno watched Morgana's expression shift, from confusion to conflict to acceptance as he nodded his head.
"Heh, now you two are really out of it!" Morgana exclaimed as he put the little outfit on, "Five of us and Two of you!"
It was adorable.
MemeQueen: Your going to miss it!
"Come on, Futaba said it's about to start."
Hakunon: Video call?
MemeQueen: Yes, please.
Hakuno placed a single earbud in and put her phone in her Obi as they climbed up the steps feeling a slight rush of wind Ryuji had run up as the group made their way up to central street.
Hakuno was expecting a large group of people, but this amount of people was surprising, "Oh it started already."
Hakuno moved her phone for it to take a better look, Futaba's face was more or less pressed up against her phone as the fireworks lit up the sky, Hakuno was by far the shortest of the group and had to balance on the tips of her toes to see over the others heads.
Several more lit up, "Ooooooo!"
Hakuno glanced around and for a split second the woman in blue strutted down an abandoned city, her tail swishing with every step, voices echoed as the pair wal-
Hakuno felt a drip.
Hakuno Felt a drip.
"Why now…"
Quickly Hakuno did a mental check of the items she has shoved into her Regalia and found them. Placing her hand in her bag she removed umbrellas from the ring, passing quickly to the other girls.
The three umbrellas were small and only designed for a single person and Hakuno tried in vain to help cover Yusuke as Ann helped Ryuji and Makoto helped Akira.
It only helped as the storm was quick and merciless, the wind picked up fast as the group managed to flee next to the Tripple Seven store, "I'll duck in and see if I left one in my locker." Akira bobbed his way into the store, leaving the five outside.
"That sucks." Futaba said in her ear, "How did the storm know the perfect time to strike?"
"Does… Akira work here?" When does he have time for a part-time job?
"I believe our leader has a few other jobs as well… I've seen him at the flower shop in the Mall..." Yusuke added…
"Uh…" Ryuji stuttered as he was looking down?
Hakuno glanced down as she noticed what Ann was doing and sighed, "Hey isn't that Haru?" Makoto asked.
Hakuno looked up it was Haru as a black car approached her and her… aides? Hakuno could only guess they were her aides as they held umbrellas for her and didn't care for getting wet themselves.
Akira burst out from the side of the building, another umbrella in hand, "I did leave one!" Akira's umbrella looked fit to have two under it, unlike Hakuno's smaller ones.
"My feet hurt, it's cold, the festivals, been canceled… this sucks," Ann muttered as the group made their way to the underground once more.
"We made such a commotion with the public, and this is what we get? Lammee." Ryuji complained.
"You know… If we are found out, there is a good chance we will be arrested." Hakuno noted as Ryuji's eyes went wide.
"You're right… even if the government couldn't figure out the method we used, we have basically shown their incompetence. I am certain they wouldn't let it stand." Yusuke added.
"But… aren't heroes that lurk in the shadows boring?" Ryuji pleaded as he looked at Akira for someone to be on his side.
"I like the shade."
"What are you, Moss?" Futaba and Ryuji said at the same time, though Hakuno was the only one that could hear Futaba…
"It would be far too dangerous to announce who we are," Makoto spoke, as a loud boom of thunder echoed causing everyone to jump slightly.
"Due to the sudden change in weather, A flood warning is now in place! Some trains are now no longer in service! Warning! Due to the sudden change in weather, some trains are now no longer in service!" The voice echoed from speakers.
"Ugh!" Hakuno could just feel Ann's anger.
"Looks like… wow that's a lot of down trains…" Futaba muttered as she heard some vague typing, "Makoto might not be able to make it home..."
"Makoto… I think it's a sleepover?" Hakuno said as Ann sighed.
Makoto glanced at the large clock as another boom of thunder echoed in the station. "That's fine!"
The trio arrived at their apartment, "I should have something you can wear Makoto…" Ann muttered.
Hakuno was pretty confident in that, the amount of clothing the model had was astronomical.
Hakuno went to her room and quickly got out of her damp yukata, If I didn't bring umbrellas… Hakuno shuttered at the thought of how soaked the group would be as the lights flickered. Grabbing a towel she dried herself off…
"Hey uh… Hakuno you're still on call…" Hakuno felt a flush of embarrassment as she quickly hung up the phone, getting into her pajamas.
Going into the living room the power flickered again. "We sure the boys can make it home?" Makoto asked wearing some of the model's clothing.
"Eh, they're going to be fine." Ann had a towel still in her hair, a boom of thunder, and the power flickered off.
And this time it stayed off.
Makoto shrieked as she lunged for Hakuno causing her to fall to the ground, her legs being knocked down as Makoto begged the world for her Sister.
Ann had a lantern in her hand at a moment's notice, the dull yellow light illuminating the pair as Hakuno tried her best to calm Makoto. Hakuno mentally reached into the Regalia bringing forth another lantern, the decent amount of light calmed Makoto down drastically.
"I'm so sorry…" The trio were sitting in the living room around the table, the twin lamps light illuminated the room.
"It's ok Makoto," Hakuno replied, she did find another flashlight and brought the device out.
Ann had her phone out, "Hey, so the storm should be gone by tomorrow…"
"That's good… I'll have to head home on the earliest train to get ready…" Makoto mumbled.
"You'll be fine even the Student Council President can be late occasionally," Ann began as she pulled out a deck of cards, "Do you two want to play?"
The trio played a few games of Tycoon before Makoto checked her phone, "It's getting late… I'll just take the couch."
Hakuno shook her head, "No… you take my bed, I'll take the couch."
"No, I insist."
Ann sighed, "It's too late to argue you two. Why not just bring out the futons? We can sleep in here! One big sleepover!" Hakuno didn't even know they had any, the pair had always slept on western-styled beds…
"That… sounds acceptable." Makoto nodded Hakuno needs to start checking in their small closet… but it's full of cleaning supplies so she typically stays away from it…
The trio set down the futons around the table and got comfortable, blankets being sourced from their main beds. "You know… I've never had a sleepover before…" Makoto said as Hakuno put one of the lanterns back into her Regalia.
"Me and Shiho used to do it every night." Ann said, her voice growing solemn, "We used to before… Kamoshida." Hakuno reached her hand out and held onto Ann's own."It's fine Haku," Hakuno was mildly surprised at the nickname but was fine with it.
"I'm sorry Ann.. if only I was a better-"
"Ah ah! None of that!" Ann's voice silenced the president. "We aren't here to play the blame game… if it's anyone's fault it's that bastard's."
"You know we are here for you… right, Ann?" Phantom flames danced in Ann's eyes as she smiled.
"Of course! You guys are all part of my eternal fan club!" Hakuno rolled her eyes as Makoto chuckled.
"What do… girls even do in a sleepover?" Makoto asked.
Hakuno looked at Ann, "Me and Futaba used to watch anime…"
"There's no power." Makoto pointed out.
Hakuno had no response to that.
Makoto sighed, "It's late and a school night, we should get some sleep…" Makoto reached over as the lamp was turned to its lowest setting, and the storm raged on.
Hakuno was being lulled to sleep by the pitter-patter of rain against the window as she felt a hand brush against her own… It was Makoto's.
"Sorry… can I hold your hand tonight?" Makoto still seemed nervous, the dark must be one of her stronger fears… Hakuno nodded, the light barely flickering as Hakuno and Makoto held hands…
"Good Night."
Author's Notes: Hmmmm. Morgana in a Yukata is something I would have loved to see in the game.
