Hello again, everybody! As you can see, this is chapter one of Episode Lucifer. This is where he first met the Forces of Nature and attacked their soldiers. You'll know more about it once you read along. You already know the disclaimer, so enjoy!
Episode Lucifer Chapter 1: Revenge Served Cold

Lucifer rushed to the door with his weapon as fast as he could. "Let us begin!" he said as he flew out of the door with Palutena's Power of Flight activated. He ended up right above an unfamiliar ghost town. "The Underworld Army have already destroyed the town along with its residents," said Palutena, sadly. "It's up to you to stop their plans from gathering souls to fuel their army. Find the entrance to their base and report back to me so that we can find the key to open it." "I'm on it," said Lucifer as he flew around above the town. He started to take down Underworld Army monsters with his weapon. "Just remember that I can't have you fly more than five minutes," Palutena warned. "My Power of Flight will only last at that amount of time before your wings catch fire. Because you're not from here like all the other angels." "I'm aware of that, Lady Palutena," Lucifer replied. "Don't worry. Everything will all be under control. Count on it." But after he took down more Underworld enemies, he noticed something familiar. "Is that...?" he wondered before widening his eyes. "That's it! That's where I need to investigate!" "Wait! Where are you going?!" Palutena gasped in shock as Lucifer flew straight towards a Reset Bomb Forest. "You're supposed to investigate the Underworld's location! Why are you heading towards that forest?!" "Because I have someone to meet with, my lady. After all, I want to meet her in person," the angel replied, making Palutena worried. As soon Lucifer arrived at the forest, he saw a projection of a goddess with green hair, hazel eyes, and a natural looking type of dress.

"Who dares to trespass the Forces of Nature?" boomed the goddess' voice. "Leave now before you become one with the humans!" Lucifer growled to hear her voice and yelled, "It's you! I've been waiting to finally meet you after what you've done to me! Who even are you?" The goddess disappeared before she could answer as the Forces of Nature themselves came up and attacked the angel. "So that's how you wanna play, huh? Very well. I'll play with you!" Lucifer chuckled as he took them down one by one. Palutena was shocked to see it all happen. "That's not what you're supposed to do, Lucifer!" she exclaimed. "Get out of there now!" "I'm just doing my own job, Lady Palutena. Don't worry. We'll get back to our previous mission once I'm done with this," Lucifer replied, even though her knew that was a lie. He continued further and further down to the forest while taking down more enemies. "I never knew an angel like you can be so persistent," said the unusual goddess. "Besides, what even is your problem?" "YOU are my problem!" Lucifer replied. "I wasn't even an angel until after I arrived here! How I got to Skyworld is none of your concern. The only thing you should be aware is that you are an enemy who must be eliminated!" This made Palutena gasp. What?! He can't be going after her! she exclaimed in thought. He's supposed to stop Medusa! "Hmph! If that's what you wish, then I'll give you a challenge to test your survival," said the unknown goddess. "Come out, my children! Show this angel how we mean business!" Lucifer chuckled as more Forces of Nature soldiers came out to attack; from Nutskis, to Bladers, to Lurchthorns. "Hah! As if your army can do anything to stop me, foolish goddess! Watch this!" Lucifer boasted as he attacked all of them ruthlessly, by shooting them down with his weapon. This made Palutena horrified. "What are you doing?! You need to follow my orders and get out of there!" she gasped. "Not until I've finished this mission first!" Lucifer replied as he took down more enemies. Until he arrived at an open area. "Well, I see that you really are indeed strong," said the unknown goddess. "Then allow me to unleash my most toughest commander of the Forces of Nature! ATTACK HIM, CRAGALANCHE THE MIGHTY!" Suddenly, a giant yellow spear came from above to attack Lucifer, only for the angel to swiftly dodge it. "Nice try, but your surprise attack is no match for me," he said. "Now it's time to begin the REAL challenge!" He then flew deeper into the forest to find and face off against Cragalanche.

After landing in the forest, Lucifer proceeded onwards to investigate it. "So, this is a Reset Bomb Forest, right Lady Palutena?" he asked his goddess. "Correct. And since you've already met the Forces of Nature's leader, let me explain who she is," Palutena replied before explaining, "Her name is Gaia, the Goddess of Nature. Her goal is to eliminate all of humanity from harming Nature. I've seen her act this way and I tried my best to stop her." "You should've known better than to send me out on our previous mission before I discovered something like this," Lucifer snorted as he proceeded to eliminate more Forces of Nature enemies. Along the way, he discovered something a bit gruesome. "Are these...human corpses?" he wondered. "Those humans got what they deserved after harming innocent plans and animals!" boomed the now-known voice of Gaia. "Palutena was foolish in believing that humans should be protected despite the crimes they committed! I'm doing my best to keep Nature nice and fresh, away from those pesky monsters!" "Pah! As if YOU have a feeling for anybody you care about! I'll let you know that YOU took away two of my most trusted humans I had before they died by your hands!" Lucifer counterattacked, leaving Palutena shocked about what he just said. "Oh? Who are they to you?" Gaia questioned. "Like I'll tell you the truth about them right now, Gaia!" Lucifer yelled in fury. "Right now, for the sake of all the humans you ruthlessly murdered with your explosive devices, it's time for some revenge!" As soon as he said that, more enemies appeared to stop the intruder. But unfortunately for them, Lucifer's rage gets the best on his targets as he proceeded to shoot them down with his weapon. None of them were able to escape from his murderous persona. I've never seen someone like him so powerful before! Palutena exclaimed in thought. Something doesn't seem right about him. He's supposed to go after Medusa. Not Gaia! Along the way, Lucifer encountered something unusual. "What the hell happened here?" he wondered. "These buildings represent the homes of ungrateful humans," Gaia explained. "I pity them for not running away without knowing the consequences of their actions. Although, some of them may have survived after avoiding the explosion, not that I care." "Coming from you, Gaia. Your destructive persona is so bloodthirsty, it hurts even worse than Medusa," Lucifer scoffed in annoyance. "Point taken," Gaia replied as Lucifer carried onwards to reach his destination. But not after taking down more enemies who were standing in his way. "Come on, Gaia! Give me a better challenge," he boasted. "Oh, you know I will!" Gaia replied. "Children, attack this foolish angel!" Suddenly, more enemies appeared to attack. "Yawn! This will be too easy!" Lucifer groaned as he continued to take them down. Palutena was speechless. She couldn't understand why her servant would do something like that. This can't be happening! Lucifer couldn't be filled with this much rage, could he?! she exclaimed in thought again. Something is not right here! As Lucifer continued to take down more enemies, he proceeded onwards to where he needed to go. Suddenly, he approached a gate. "Ah ah ah! Not so fast, intruder!" said Gaia as she summoned more of her minions. "You're just trying to get yourself killed, Gaia! Allow me to put them out of their misery for you!" Lucifer snorted as he shot down his enemies. Leaving them nothing more than piles of pieces of their bodies. "Hmph! Don't think you're done just yet, intruder!" said Gaia. "Cragalanche is waiting for you up ahead. I'm sure he'll take you down!" "Don't get too excited, Gaia. I can assure you that it will be the opposite," Lucifer replied as he approached the opened gate.

As soon as the angel entered through the gate, he saw a pile of rocks in the middle of the arena. But before he could wonder what it was, the rock pile suddenly glowed two red lights before revealing a giant rock life form. "So, you must be Cragalanche the Mighty," Lucifer said in realization, after immediately noticing who it was. "This is going to be fun! Prepare yourself to meet your maker!" The two warriors got into their battle stances to begin the fight. Cragalanche started the fight by slamming his fists down to create a massive shockwave. Lucifer thought fast by jumping before the impact made him lose his balance. Then, the angel fired rapid shots at his foe, only for the rock commander to take slim damage. "Huh. No wonder you're a tough cookie to crumble," he said. "You're literally a pile of rocks. But that doesn't mean I've got lots of tricks up my sleeves!" After he said that, he fired a charged shot directly into Cragalanche's left eye, causing him to stumble back and lose balance. "Not so tough now, are ya?" Lucifer taunted. "You're quite the skilled fighter. I'll give you that," Gaia stated. "However, Cragalanche is a force to be reckoned with, because of his skills and defense!" Immediately after she said that, Cragalanche suddenly got back up and charged at Lucifer in a surprisingly fast pace. Only for the angel to dodge it quickly. "You weren't kidding when you said 'a force to be reckoned with!'" he gasped before smiling sinisterly. "But haven't you learned that I have also gotten great fighting skills from my master?" Suddenly, the angel began to run around in circles at a fast pace. This caused Cragalanche to spin around, nearly loosing his balance and vision. Once he was dizzy, Lucifer struck a powerful charged shot directly to the commander's face, causing him to be pushed back from the arena. How is he doing this?! Palutena exclaimed in shock and disbelief. I've never expected Lucifer to be this skillful. Except that the look on his eyes seems...enraged! "Had enough, Rocky?" Lucifer taunted. "He's not quite done just yet," Gaia warned. "Besides, you haven't seen his powerful moves!" Suddenly, Cragalanche's eyes glowed and rose up to the sky before falling right at Lucifer's direction to slam him down. But the angel was too fast and quickly jumped out of the way. However, after he landed, Cragalanche's slam caused another shockwave, this time stunning Lucifer temporarily. The commander then grabbed the angel with both of his arms and slammed him on the ground multiple times. Shit! I can't shake him off like this! Lucifer grunted in thought. This battle is gonna be a bitch to finish if I don't get out of his grasp! There must be a way to do so! "Now, Cragalanche! Finish him off with a powerful slam from up above!" Gaia ordered and Cragalanche suddenly rose up to finish Lucifer off. However, the angel had an idea. That's it! Cragalanche might be trying to slam me without know that his grip has loosen a little bit! he exclaimed in thought. Now's my chance to finish him! With his free right arm wiggled away form the mighty commander's grip, he fired a charged shot again, this time on the Cragalanche's right eye, making him let go of the angel before crashing on the arena. Lucifer landed on his feet safely before walking up to the stunned commander with an evil smile. He then pointed his weapon directly on Cragalanche's face, at point blank range, before charging it up with a big glow. "Say goodnight, Rocky Road!" he said sinisterly before firing a big charged shot, ending Cragalanche's struggle to fight back and win the battle.

Cragalanche was nothing more than a pile of rubble before being sent away by Gaia, who showed herself in a projection afterwards. "You surely impressed me how powerful you are during that fight," she said. "And here I thought Cragalanche would never be defeated because of how strong he was. But luckily for me, he's not dead yet, as he is currently being resurrected through my powers." "Of course there would be something like that because he's an immortal," Lucifer stated. "But that doesn't change the fact that you must be eliminated! I'm not going to let you get away from me!" His eyes were fueled with anger as he pointed at the goddess' projection. "Hmph! I highly doubt you stand a chance against me because you don't seem powerful enough to defeat a god," Gaia scoffed. "Oh, you're going to regret those words!" Lucifer yelled as Gaia's projection disappeared. "I'm going to bring you back to the temple right now," said Palutena. "We're going to have a talk about this." She opened up a light pillar and whisked Lucifer back to her temple.

After Lucifer arrived back in the temple, he saw Palutena waiting for him with a stern face. "Is something the matter, my lady?" he asked, nonchalantly. "Don't play dumb with me, Lucifer!" Palutena yelled. "Why did you disobey my orders?! You were supposed to find the Underworld's location so that we can defeat Medusa! Not Gaia!" "Don't worry about that, Lady Palutena," Lucifer replied. "Besides, that was a one-time only. I promise that we'll find Medusa's location in no time." Palutena wasn't convinced about his answer at first, but decided to go along with it. "I understand, Lucifer. Just don't do that again," she warned. Lucifer only nodded and went to his room to rest. But what Palutena didn't know is that something was awakening within the angel. I'm feeling a strange force in my body! he said in thought. I think I must be having a strong with for vengeance! I must return to the Forces of Nature and attack them again! Gaia will be seeing her demise soon enough! He smiled sinisterly before going to bed for the night. Unaware of the fact that Palutena was worried about something. Something tells me that Lucifer might be lying to me, she thought to herself. I'm not sure what's wrong with him, but I sure hope I can figure this out. She decided to sleep for the night and think about it later.

Meanwhile, Gaia sat on her throne of her temple waiting for further reports. Suddenly, Arlon the Serene came up to her with a serious look on his face. "Status report on Cragalanche's current condition, Arlon," she requested. "Lady Gaia, I have good news and bad news," Arlon started with worry. "The good news is that Cragalanche has been resurrected and his powers are still intact. The bad news is that Cragalanche's posterior is severely injured. After Lucifer released the final shot that defeated him, it caused a big bruise that seems almost impossible to be treated. I'm not sure if we have enough time to heal it." Gaia placed a hand under her chin in concern. "Hmm. It seems that our new enemy seeks to eliminate our forces," she wondered. "If that's the case, then we're in deep trouble!" Arlon exclaimed in fear. "Oh, fret not, Arlon. For that reason, it's best for you to go to the Lunar Sanctum," Gaia continued. "I've just finished up my new creation to see if our enemy makes it there. If it fails to stop him, you'll try to take him down." Even though Arlon was a little worried about her lady's safety, he knew that there wasn't another option to stop their new enemy. So he just nodded in concern. "Understood, Lady Gaia. We'll stop him whenever we can," he said with a bow before leaving the throne room. If you truly wish you can stop our forces, little angel, then you are mistaken, she thought to herself. You'll see what will happen if you dare to mess with Gaia, the Goddess of Nature!

Seems like we're off to a great start on Lucifer's backstory! Also, in case if you're wondering, I wanted to add a little lore to show you how Cragalanche got his weak spot on his butt in the first place. In my headcannon, I think my OC caused that to happen in the first place. After all, how else are you going to have an injury that seemed almost impossible to heal.
