"Reggie Rocket, what are you talking about?" Courtney asked.
"Yeah! What did Courtney ever do to you?" Miranda added before she smirked. "Normally I'm the mean and nasty one, but we all know Courtney doesn't exactly have a mean bone in her body."
"Is that an insult or a compliment, Miranda?" Courtney asked her best friend.
"You decide." Miranda replied ominously.
"Uh... I'm hoping it's a compliment?" Courtney then said.
"It is if you think it is." Miranda told her.
"Then I think it is." Courtney decided.
"Probably for the best that you think that way." Miranda replied.
"Ahem?" Reggie cleared her throat, reminding them that she was still there.
"Bless you, Reggie." Courtney said, thinking the purple-haired girl had coughed.
"Okay, okay, come on, let's talk about this," Dakota piped up as she walked over to the tomboy. "What's going on and what do you have against my cousin?"
"She knows what she did." Reggie replied with a scowl.
"Uh, no, I really don't." Courtney said, sounding very confused and genuinely curious.
"You mean you don't know?" Reggie asked. "You don't remember?"
"She just said that, Rocket Girl, now get to the point," Miranda demanded. "We have a cruise waiting for us."
"It was a couple of years ago when we were in Nick Jr High," Reggie reminded as she began to have a flashback and narrated it from then on. "I was never like the other girls. It seemed like the only girls I knew back then were Trish and Sherry."
"Oh, those two, I think I remember them," Miranda commented. "I couldn't tell you anything important about them, but they existed."
"And there was also Eliza Thornberry before her dad was given a life-changing job." Reggie then added.
"Oh, yes. The nature show," Courtney remarked. "My daddy used to watch that all the time."
"Anyway, you seemed so cool and important, Courtney," Reggie then said as she got to the point. "I really wanted to be your friend, but you decided I was too good for you... then of all people you invited to your Sweet 10th Birthday Party, you didn't even invite one certain person."
Courtney looked confused for a moment until she tried to guess. "Trish Yasahiro?" she then asked.
"Oh, for the love of..." Reggie groaned and face-palmed before she glared and got to the point. "NO! That girl was me."
Courtney gasped as that sounded dramatic.
"Seriously?" Dakota asked. "All of this trouble because you weren't invited to a birthday party?"
"Yeah, that sounds like a villainous thing to do, not to mention kinda petty." Sam remarked.
"It wasn't just the party, it was everything that year at Nick Jr High," Reggie explained firmly. "We used to be friends, Courtney."
"We did?" Courtney asked, sounding surprised.
"Of course you don't remember that, it seems like once we graduated from Nick Jr High everything started to change," Reggie explained. "You just dismissed as one of the boys all because you didn't like skateboarding, bike riding, or anything else extreme and cool like that."
"Well, I can't help that, Reggie," Courtney shrugged. "Besides, you decided that Trish and Sherry were your best girl friends about that while I was more interested in shopping because I thought that that was what being a girl was all about."
"I guess that's partly my fault cuz Courtney and I were always like sisters." Dakota spoke up.
"I guess we're both to blame, Reggie, but I did invite you to my party." Courtney said.
"You did?" Reggie asked, surprised.
"I guess you just never got my invitation." Courtney shrugged.
"Wow, all of this trouble between the war of girly girls and tomboys," Miranda rolled her eyes. "How basic can you people get?"
"Miranda, you know losing a friend is very serious for a girl," Courtney reminded her best friend. "Besides, you were always there for me, even if I wanted to try to be a normal girl when I never got the chance that other girls got like Ginger Foutley."
"Is that why you're obsessed with Ginger?" Dakota asked.
"I'm not obsessed with Ginger!" Courtney defended and blushed a little. "I just wanna be her friend sometimes and I don't think Dodie Bishop is a very good friend to her."
"I guess I was just causing problems for no really good reason." Reggie commented.
"No duh, that's usually my job." Miranda commented.
"What can we do to fix this?" Dakota wondered. "Maybe we can all try to be friends somehow."
"I don't know about that." Miranda muttered.
Reggie glared a bit as Miranda didn't seem to want to be her friend. Miranda just shrugged in response.
"Well, either way, someone needs to be punished." Reggie decided.
"Is punishment really necessary?" Dakota asked.
Someone was soon heard laughing before the girls looked around a bit.
"Okay, who's laughing?" Dakota glared and crossed her arms. "Don't make me come over there."
"It's coming from that bush." Reggie pointed out.
Soon, they all went over to the bush to see that Otto was behind it and laughing his head off.
"Rocket Boy." Reggie glared at her brother.
"Oh, uh, hey, Reg," Otto replied as he looked over. "What's up?"
"That's what I'd like to know," Reggie replied. "What're you doing here and not in military camp because Dad decided you need to learn a lesson in humility this summer?" she then demanded.
"Oh, nothing much, just having fun cuz Miranda Killgahen and Darren Patterson are in trouble for once instead of me this summer," Otto smirked. "They deserved it because it's way uncool that I keep getting punished for stuff I didn't do and I told Officer Killgahen what they were up to."
"Oh, really?" Miranda glared as she approached the bush suddenly.
"Oh! Uh... hey, Miranda..." Otto chuckled sheepishly and waved at her before looking at his sister. "Why didn't you tell me that Miranda was still here?" he then hissed at her.
"You don't tell me everything, why should I tell you everything?" Reggie retorted and smirked. "Girls, I think we found a punishment victim." she then stated.
"Say what? I'm telling Dad that you beat me up this summer, Reg!" Otto glared. "You know I don't deserve this way uncool treatment!"
"Oh, I didn't say anything about me beating you up." Reggie retorted.
"Want me to go to Dakotazoid on this creep?" Dakota offered as her eyes glowed orange briefly.
"Only if I get to get a few hits in too." Miranda spoke up.
"Hey! You can't do this to me!" Otto complained. "Is this because I threw Reggie's invitation to Courtney's girly party back in Nick Jr High in the trash?"
"YOU WHAT?!" Reggie asked with wide eyes.
"See? I told you I invited you!" Courtney told the purple-haired girl.
"Man, you really are selfish and cruel, Otto Rocket." Sam glared at the boy.
"Yeah, so?" Otto scoffed. "What're you gonna do about it?"
Dakota and Miranda glared at him before glancing at each other and smirking.
"Hey, man! This isn't cool!" Otto complained as he was hanging from the military camp flagpole by his underwear, he also had a few bruises on his face, his glasses were cracked, and he had a black eye. "You can't do this to me! I'm way too cool and awesome for this punishment! I didn't even do anything!"
"Salute to your shorts, Rocket Boy!" Reggie glared at her brother before looking over. "I'm sorry I tried to snub you out this summer, Courtney."
"That's okay, Reggie, maybe we can hang out sometime this Fall when school starts again?" Courtney offered.
"Yeah, I guess you aren't so bad... for a spoiled rich girl anyway." Reggie replied.
"And you aren't so bad for a girl who does extreme sports all the time and hangs with the guys." Courtney added.
"Yeah, though every once in a while I need a break from my brother and the guys," Reggie nodded. "So sometimes I hang around Trish and Sherry."
"Yes, a little girl time is important, so we should go to the Mall, get you a makeover, do your nails, get you some new clothes, and-" Courtney said as she suddenly took Reggie's hands hopefully.
"Don't ruin it for me, Courtney." Reggie deadpanned.
"Right, right. Sorry..." Courtney blushed.
"Drop me a line when you finish your cruise trip, okay?" Reggie suggested.
"Sure, that sounds good," Courtney nodded. "Your dad works at the Shore Shack, right?"
"Yeah, there's a lot of good food over there like burgers and fries as long as you're not on one of those fancy pants diets frome Europe or something." Reggie replied.
"We'll keep in touch." Courtney agreed before she suddenly hugged Reggie.
"Oh! You're hugger... Hi, there..." Reggie said bashfully in the hug.
"Come on, Court. We don't wanna be late if we wanna meet Aunt Claire and Blake at the ship." Dakota told her cousin as she came by with her boyfriend, Sam.
"Coming, Dakota!" Courtney replied before she looked back at Reggie. "See ya around, Reggie."
"See ya, Courtney." Reggie nodded.
Courtney smiled as she soon left with her cousin and Reggie left as well to get back to Camp Caprice as it would be time to go back home soon.
"What a crazy summer this has been." Ginger said to her cousin.
"Tell me about it," Zoey nodded. "Come on, kiddo. Let's go home."
Ginger smiled as she took Zoey's hand as they got ready to leave Camp Caprice to head back home to Nicktropolis.
Soon, everyone was dropped off back home after quite the summer away from home together.
"It's good to be home," Ginger smiled at her older cousin. "I missed my mom."
"I'm sure Aunt Lois missed you too, Ginger." Zoey smiled back.
"And I missed you, Zoey," Mike said to his girlfriend. "I'm sorry we made such a big fuss about missing you girls this summer."
"Ah, that's okay, Mike." Zoey soothed.
"But maybe next time you guys can talk about the summer right before it starts otherwise it'll be like that time TJ Dettweiler was home alone for the summer while his friends were at camp." Ginger advised.
"That sounds like a good idea." Zoey agreed.
"Yeah, we'll keep that in mind for next time." Mike commented.
Ginger smiled as she arranged her scrapbook from her summer camp adventure.
"Guys! Dinner in 20!" Lois called out from the other room.
"Okay!" Ginger, Zoey, and Mike replied.
"I'm glad Margie decided not to permanently suspend us from Camp Caprice, but I still don't know if I'll be going back next summer." Ginger said to Zoey and Mike.
"Well, you have plenty of time to think about it, Ginge," Zoey told her younger cousin before she faced Mike. "And maybe if Mike wants to, he can come with us or I'll spend the summer with him." she then added with a wink.
Mike beamed and blushed at that. "Provided I get on the right bus this time." he then added.
"Yes, exactly." Zoey chuckled and nodded.
"It kind of depends..." Ginger nodded as she looked into her locket, having a picture of herself with Sasha inside.
"I still can't get over a boy named Sasha," Mike commented. "I mean, isn't that a girl's name?"
"Mike." Zoey frowned.
"I'm just saying." Mike shrugged.
Zoey rolled her eyes. "I heard Carl and Hoodsey had quite the summer too," she then commented. "They became vampires and cleaned houses and solved some kind of dog mystery."
"I'm sure he'll talk about it over dinner." Mike nodded.
Soon, the two teenagers left Ginger alone in her room as she held onto her locket and thought about Sasha as another interesting summer had come to an end.
MEANWHILE...
"Hey! Is someone gonna get me down from here or what?" Otto complained as he was still dangling from the military camp flagpole.
The End
