Beginning of Many Secrets

This is my first try at a power rangers story. I know I'm too old for this show, but I'm still a kid at heart and always will be. I hope you guys enjoy it. :) I also don't own anything, but my OCs and any other things that aren't part of the series.

25. Life's a Masquerade

The next day, I woke up not feeling too great. My dad took my temperature and told me that I was not going anywhere. I was literally in tears because I really wanted to go to the masquerade party. My dad hugged me and told me that he knew that I wanted to go, but my health is more important. He also told me that he was staying home as well. I tried to argue, but he shushed me and told me that his boss said that he could work from home.

"What about the others?" I asked.

"I've already talked to Jason, and they'll come see you later." my dad replied.

I sighed, took the medicine my dad brought me, and laid back down. My dad placed my computer and headset on my nightstand in case I woke up later and wanted to work on something. I'm glad he doesn't know exactly what I use the computer and headset for.

I was sleeping fine when all of a sudden, I had a nightmare. I bolted awake and tried to calm my heavy breathing. The nightmare was about Rita beating the Rangers and destroying the world. I logged into my computer and got my headset ready.

"I'll keep trying to reach Tommy." I told the others.

They all agreed and went to fight Rita's monster. I started looking for Tommy and finally found him.

"Tommy, do you read me?" I asked.

"I read you, Ashlynn." Tommy replied.

"Good, the other rangers need your help." I said.

"I'm on my way." Tommy said.

I let Zordon and Alpha know that Tommy was heading to the others. They thanked me and we watched the battle unfold. I was starting to get worried, but I knew that the Rangers would come through like they always do. I cracked up at Tommy's comment about bad indigestion because it was hilarious.

The gang came by after the party, still in their costumes, and I thought that they looked great. They told me that Alpha came to the party and won the contest for best costume. I was happy about that and thought it was funny.

I went to change into my costume and the gang went nuts. We took pictures and I was the happiest that I've ever been. My friends are my whole world, along with my dad, and I know that my mom would be so happy that I have the best of friends. I also know that she would've loved Jason.
