"BANG!"

We had ran through the building that we were trapped in.

Ran through the simple surgeons and guards that posed no threat at all.

"We need to create more distractions!" the elder man shouted out loud.

"I know." he had seen my dragons on display and was enthralled by them. Thinking them interesting beings and tried asking questions about them.

Some were questions that I had already heard before. 'Are they sentient?' 'Do they bleed normal blood?'

I didn't answer any of his questions because they were just distractions. I ran forward and he followed, slowly which had made me summon a dragon to carry the both of us.

My range allowed me to summon dragons that were now at a 70 meter radius.

Using that I created smaller dragons that were sturdy and used them to create disturbances like toppling over shelves or tables and other stuff that were in the building that we were looking for an exit from.

That had slowed down a lot of the bodyguards but I wasn't thinking that it would deter people of similar strength to those that had come to capture me.

We were flying above a bridge like crossover to another area within the, what I assumed was, underground building.

"Hey old man?" I called out. "Why do you seem so uncaring about the situation we're in?" I asked. His face gained a surprise look.

"What do you mean kid?" he asked.

"It's like your mind is elsewhere and from the way you were speaking earlier in the cell you made it seem like everything was just a big game."

The same smirk appeared on his face. Not one that was alarming or showed some hidden intentions. Just one that had slowly started to form into a more melancholic look.

"Well truthfully..." he cracked his neck before levelling his head again. "... I don't really have anyone to go back to."

"Oh." I said feeling like I had overstepped my boundaries. "Sorry about that."

His hands waved in the air.

"No need to apologize. You didn't do anything." he stopped my apology and carried on. "I guess I was just cursed with bad luck."

My right eyebrow raised clearly showing I wanted to know more, I just decided not to voice it incase he refused to elaborate and instead just leave an awkward silence.

"I'm quirkless." he said. My eyes widened slightly, they shouldn't have. Being quirkless wasn't non-existent. But it was rare. In the world only 20% of the populace were quirkless and in Japan that number went right down to 4%. So it was still extremely rare.

"My parents were just hoping for some golden child. Someone who could take them out of poverty and show them a good life." he said with the same straight laced tone he carried the while they started making their escape. "Neither of my older siblings were good enough, quirk's were too weak. So I guess they thought third time's the charm."

He moved the bland brown hair covering his forehead and started rubbing the spot softly as he seemed to be trying to remem... reminisce on something.

I didn't disturb him or try to figure out what was on that spot.

"My pathetic self just couldn't let them go and stayed with them even through the multiple times they had even hinted at me just leaving the house like they had done with my brother and sister." he seemed to gain an angrier tone but his face wasn't changing at all.

"Eventually I came home one night only to see people dressed in those black suits that you've seen some people in here wear." I could already get what he was trying to say without him having to finish the sentence.

"Sorry to hear that." I offered.

He chuckled again.

"No need for that, I'm still young and once we get out of here I can start a new life. Maybe in another country too just to change up the scenery." he said. I resisted the urge to make a rude comment.

But while thinking of so I started to think on some other things. Mainly a few people.

Haruka and Kaminari. Truly the only people I could call friends, but then again I had kind of closed myself off from the group. Akari had told me to connect with more people, but that was before I thought of calling someone like Kaminari a friend.

'They're probably worried.'

Scared even. Villain groups hadn't really popped up so organized since All Might's reign. Two of them showing themselves as soon as he had announced his new teaching endeavour made it seem like they seen it as a moment of weakness.

Or just a way to hurt him by hunting down and attacking people he should be protecting by being so close to them.

"Kid Look ahea--!" the man's screams had come to late.

We were dragged off of our ride and landed on our feet. It was surprising to see the quirkless land quite gracefully.

And what graced our presence was someone I was hoping we really wouldn't run into.

"I'll give you three seconds to turn around and start marching back to your cells." the cold and chilling voice was enough to send chills down your spine. The deep blue eyes matched with that sickly pale skin felt unnatural.

He was the one who beat me so easily with so little effort and dragged me here.

None of us had moved, for me though it was more because I forgot his orders. Not like I would follow them. I was going to get out of here. I'm not some dumb prisoner and I sure as well won't be joining some weird little organization.

"I see." his bone chilling voice had struck out. And through the air a long Katana seemingly flew into his hands. Knowing his power was connected to manipulation of thin, extremely thin wires I could only assume that it just slid along one of those lines to make it's way over here.

I was also surprised to see that the man by my side hadn't followed his instructions.

"I thought you said that if your life's on the line that you'd surrender." I whispered quietly to him.

He may have heard me but he gave no answer, or indication that he had heard.

He's probably scared. I thought.

Before I could scowl at the situation I felt fast wind moving in my direction and ducked backwards while throwing my hand up.

A long, thin and bright katana had pierced through the air.

From my left side, a dragon erupted and blitzed around his arm to try and swirm its way to bite his throat. I didn't actually intend to kill but as expected he dodged backwards with a few steps.

That gave me enough time to readjust myself as he sliced the dragon apart.

"Oi." I called out to the man standing to the side. "Look out for any thin wires. That's his quirk and as we felt only a moment ago, they're really strong so try avoid them."

After a while I would be able to see them more clearly, but I needed to try avoid them while confronting him up close.

Well that's what he thought anyway.

I'm just waiting for another chance to zoom away from here.

'I'm gonna break this bridge!'

With a stance that was causing the ground under me to deepen I pounced from my spot with a clear mind and clear mission.

And with that I started to engage in close quarters combat. Swiftly dodging his sword strikes.

My time training in the commission with other kendo masters as well as Hawks who was skilled with it made this much easier. But coming this close to the real thing being swung at me with the intent to kill made things obviously more difficult.

I hesitated more, which caused minor slices that wouldn't result in much. I made mistakes in my steps which nearly caused me to lose limbs. And I would miss vital chances to actually throw a punch that would have disoriented my opponent.

But using my quirk in conjunction made getting some hits in good.

"Tch." I heard a click of teeth form the jet black haired man in front of me.

He raised his sword ready to swing down but I activated my quirk and a dragon had met his arm that hadn't swung yet. This slowed him down.

And with my quirk I activated something I haven't used often, something I wanted to use when chained but couldn't.

My hands had shown clear muscles forming until my nails had sharpened and extended. This was the best I could do and closest I could get to a dragon's claw.

With my speed I ran trying to stay out of his sight while he swung down on the dragon and thrust my fist forward when close enough.

He had spun while slicing the dragon in half allowing him to also avoid the attack, although not completely. There was still a greater wound by his lower abdomen.

I smirked while looking at the blood leaking out of the dark shirt he was wearing.

"All that swinging and you could only dish out a few shallow cuts." I taunted. Although my cut on him wasn't exactly anything to write home about.

The sickly pale man didn't give a response other than lifting his hand from the wound. I couldn't tell if it had stopped bleeding or not but next thing I know is that my balance was lost.

I had fell on my back. And seeing how it happened was quite embarrassing after what I had just said. There was a thinly veiled wire attached to my right leg.

And he was now dragging but I could also hear the quick pitter patter of his feet running in my direction before a quick hop in the air over one of the steel beams that had rolled in his way.

Quickly moving down with his katana in both his hands poised to pierce me I decided now was a good enough time.

'Can't die here obviously.'

My right hand raised into a formed seal and just like at school, at the sports festival a dragon that I had left in the air was split apart and now it was raining the same golden dragon arrows that had rained down on the nomu.

But this time they were split apart. Some aiming for the icy eyed bastard and some for the bridge like construction that we were flying over.

From what I could see he noticed it and used his quirk to pull him away from the attack that was now falling on me.

Hah.

The bridge exploded into pieces and a long dragon had appeared and lifted me up as well as the man who was trapped in the cell with me who had a big wide mouth on him in surprise and shock. And slowly his face was showing relief and then turn into a short chuckle.

"Jeez could. I probably should have thought this before. But you're definitely a hero kid right." he chuckled.

I shook my head and left it at that while trying to control my breathing in order to not look weak.

The dragon was fast and strong. It simply broke through any structured building space which had most definitely alerted people of our oncoming presence.

This did make me feel bad, there were still people, innocent people trapped here that I should be helping.

In the position that I'm in I probably wouldn't get another chance like this again to act and try to reach them and release them from their suffering.

But if I were to go now, that would not only be putting myself in danger with the boss who may show herself, but also sacrificing the chance of escape for... Jeez I still don't even know his name.

I turned to him.

"Hey I know its late but I forgot to ask your name."

He scratched the back of his head. "Oh well I did also forget to tell you."

Man just looking at him, I wouldn't feel right just running straight back into danger. But what do I do.

"It's Suto Noritoshi."
