Humans, on the other hand, have only 70-100 years. Their memories are stronger. Eragon is no exception. As a rider his memories are in pieces. A thousand years is a long time to live.

Eragon was not the only one to struggle with his own inner strife in Recovery. This is the journal of Arya, and it tells the tale of what the Elf went through during this time.
