A pair of Gallifreyan twins, a very rare occurrence, have 2 options. They must either leave Gallifrey, or be executed. This is the story told from the perspective of someone very mysterious- perhaps more than the Doctor himself- but she knows how the story went. She was one of the twins.

Clara knew she should leave. Tampering with the Doctor's past could have huge, perhaps disastrous, consequences, but she couldn't stop herself. Every time she tried, she would look into his old, sad eyes and realize that she could no more leave him than stop breathing.

Exhausted from accosting the Doctor, Clara falls unconscious and ends up back in the TARDIS. But that not all, she wakes up in a different time with a different Doctor. How can she go back to her own timeline and Doctor?
