Arius De Alger Obelia was the first Prince of Obelia but due to negligence from his father and mistreatment from the staff , he died in the original timeline at the age of 5, and thus wasn't mentioned in the story of both 'Lovely Princess ' or 'Who Made Me A Princess '.

But When Middle School Student , Kazuto Fushimu from Japan, dies a brutal death. Until he wakes up to suddenly find he's become that unfortunate prince. He needs a plan to survive his doomed fate, and time is running out.

Will he survive or is another brutal death waiting for him in the end?

ARC 1 – REINCARNATION

Episode 01│Death

Ding !

THE SCHOOL BELL RANG AS ALL the students rushed back home. Kazuto packed his bag and headed to the library instead.

'Another test is coming up next week. If I don't score the highest this time..' He shivered upon the thought as he pulled down his uniform arm to see the burn marks.

The cigarette burns he'd received from his father in last week's beating still remained fresh.

'I should put some foundation to cover it up, since we have a P.E lesson tomorrow. But if I use mom's foundation she'll get mad. Should I ask before using? But, what if she still gets mad?' On his thought as he all can do is to sighed.

"Fushimu-Kun!" Someone called him making, Kazuto flinched as he pulled his uniform down and brought his arm behind his back.

"Oh, I didn't mean to startle you. I called out a few times but you didn't respond." The woman smiled with a hint of worry in her eyes.

This was his homeroom teacher, always looking at him with worry. She was a kind person. If Kazuto told her about his problems, she would undoubtedly help him. But somewhere in his heart he still wished to gain recognition from his parents by his own efforts.

"The library, again?" She asked, maintaining her cheery expression.

"Uh, yes.." he said.

"You know, school isn't all about studying. Maybe make some friends, hang out with the rest of your peers. You're in your youth, you should cherish and enjoy these moments before you lose them. Well?"

Kazuto looked out of the window to see a group of children playing tag.

'Friends, huh?' He smiled slightly at the thought of it.

"Thank you for worrying about me, but I do have several friends. They just don't go to the same school."

"Oh, that's nice."

"They're wonderful people, so you needn't worry."

"Is that so? Well then, I was worried for no reason. Introduce them to me someday, will you? " The teacher asked giddily.

"Uh, that, that might be hard."

"Oh, that's too bad. "

"Uh, excuse me? I should really be going now." Kazuto bowed before walking away.

"Right, goodluck for the test next week!" The teacher shouted from behind as Kazuto took a turn from the hall.

Kazuto paused after taking the turn.

'I can't introduce them to you, because...because they're not in this world. They're real. All the billions of anime characters and comic characters I've ever watched. They're real to me. And they're all my friends. They make me smile, laugh and cry too. They make me feel more alive than I ever feel. I have music too. And that's enough. These two things are enough for me. Enough to help me keep going. They're all I need.' Kazuto concluded as he took a firm step ahead.

HE SIGHED BEFORE entering his prison(house). He slowly walked to the doorknob and slowly twisted it to open.

"I'm back." He announced as he took off his shoes at the doorway and entered to see neither of his parents caring to look in his direction.

'Ignoring me is better than shouting at me.'

Kazuto silently tried making his way upstairs, where his room was. But before he could take the first step of the stairs, his father started, while still staring at the television.

"You remember Uncle Shiwajima? Well, his daughter who's a year younger than you, got Highest Marks in all her subjects in her class. Shiwajima kept telling me about how he was so proud of her. Do you have any ideas? How embarrassed I was!?" His father turned his head from the television. His eyes filled with anger..

Kazuto began trembling in fear, as his father slowly approached him. The shouts continue.

"She was a Girl, and younger than YOU. She accomplisedh something like that! Why can't you ever make me proud!? You useless brat!" He continued and gave Kazuto a slap.

Slap!

Kazuto fell to the ground by the sheer force of his slaps. His father had a huge figure, broad shoulders, a fat belly and an almost bald head. Kazuto trembled in fear as he wished for the beating to just end with the slaps.

"What a weakling!" His father looked at the mother and said, "Don't give him food today." before returning to his position in front of the television.

Kazuto quickly got on his feet and ran to his room. Locking the door, and falling onto his bed. He quickly grabbed his phone and earphones.

A few tears escaped his eyes before he escaped this world and into the world of music and his friends.

About twenty minutes later, Kazuto rolled around his bed in anger as he held his phone.

'CLAUDE YOU JERK! I wanna hug poor Athanasia right now. She didn't deserve this. Athanasia from the lovely princess and I are so similar. Just wanting our parents to look at us, and our efforts. To love us. Is that too much to ask?' Kazuto sighed as he stopped rolling and sat down.

'Maybe this is a sign. Athanasia from lovely princess met a tragic end because she kept hoping for Claude to change. Till the very end she hoped for him to change. The same as I'm clinging to the hope of gaining recognition from my parents. . . If I remain obedient, will I meet a similar end?' he continued in his thoughts.

'Hmph, what else can I do? I'm underage so I can't just move out, not until highschool. If I talk back to them then. . . that'll only make it worse. I should just shut up and endure it. Life isn't anime. And even if it was, I'm not the main character. The world is a cruel place unlike in animes where major dangers don't even exist, oh. . . wait that depends on the genre. But oh well! Time to study.' He went to his desk to start studying.

FOUR DAYS HAD PASSED. It was the day the result of the tests would be handed out. Kazuto sat there in the empty classroom, staring at the sheet in front of him.

He came second.

He. came. second.

All because of a spelling mistake. His marks were cut. The one who came first was Shizu Furika, a constant topper.

'No matter what I said . . . the teacher wouldn't change my marks. He kept saying I should pay attention to these small mistakes instead of passing them off as not important enough to have marks deducted for. . .But. . . it's okay right?. . . Mom and Dad won't mind a spelling mistake. . . right?. . . Yea it's okay. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay.' He repeated over and over in his head, to calm himself down, yet tears still trickled down his cheek.

"Oh, Fushimu-kun, you're here? That's strange, usually you'd be at the library. Is. . . everything o. . . " His teacher probably saw him crying, as to why she stopped mid sentence.

Kazuto quickly assembled his things before running out of the classroom. He heard shouts from the back but didn't stop. He heard the voices in his head.

'How pathetic! Crying over nothing!' He just ran, ran and ran, until finally he stood at the familiar door to his house. Eyes red and swollen from crying all the way home.

'Should I. . . just run away?' He thought as he sniffled, and tried to control more tears from flowing.

'But, where to? Where can I run?' He looked around before looking down in despair.

'Hey, positive thinking. It's just a stupid spelling mistake.' He gathered the courage to enter.

". . . I'm back."

The atmosphere in the house was different this time. He wasn't ignored like usual, instead his parents enthusiastically went up to him.

"Well, where's the test sheet?"

He hesitantly gave it to them. His legs trembled slightly as he fiddled with his fingers and glanced up to his parents and down to the floor.

"Uh. . . it was just a spelling mistake. . ." He spoke, trying to calm them.

"Who's the highest scorer?" The mother asked.

"Uh, that's. . ." Kazuto's eyes shook with fear as avoided eye contact.

"Sh-Shizu Furika." His fathers eyes darted towards his son as he didn't hesitate to hit him.

Slap!

"You lost TO A GIRL?!" The father clutched his arm and began to drag him to the basement.

"NO FATHER! IT WAS JUST A SPELLING MISTAKE! SHE ONLY GOT A SINGLE MARK HIGHER! FATHER PLEASE! NOT THE BASEMENT! PLEASE!"

The basement was where they would usually beat him up, because his screams wouldn't reach the neighbour's this way.

"BE QUIET! ALL THESE STRICT BEATINGS WILL HELP STRAIGHTEN YOU UP BY THE TIME YOU'RE AN ADULT." The mother shouted at the son who was screaming.

"I'M SORRY! I-"

The father kicked him in the stomach, with enough force for him to hit the basement wall.

He groaned in pain as he clutched his stomach. The kicks continued. The pain became unbearable. And then it stopped. Kazuto sat up straight, coughing and holding his stomach. His face, red with tears and hair all messed up.

He saw why the beating had stopped. His father had went to pick up his favourite steel rod, with which he used to occasionally beat him.

Kazuto's eyes widened in fear.

The beating would continue.

"Hmph! You deserve this! You have such nice parents like us who are always looking out for you. Paying your school tuition, your food and clothing expenses. We do so much for you. Yet. You never make us happy do you?" The father questioned with disappointment in his eyes.

He looked at his mother, who had the same look.

"Hah. . . Haha. . ."

"What's so funny huh?! " The father yelled as he swung the rod straight to his face. Kazuto hit the floor hard, but still sat up.

"I. . . will never be good enough for you, will I?" He questioned as he leaned on the wall, trying to stand up.

"I worked hard. I studied day and night. I tried to make you proud. I really did. And this is all I get?"

"How dare you talk back to us?!" The mother criticized.

"Talk back? Hah,"

'No. I won't die foolishly. I won't die desperate for their love. I did my best. And so now, I don't care.' The lines from Lovely Princess flashed back to Kazuto.

"You don't deserve to be my parents. You don't deserve to be parents at all! You're just a couple of garbage-"

The father hit him with the rod again. But this time it didn't stop with one hit. He kept going and going.

"HOW DARE YOU! THE NEXT TIME YOU SAY THOSE THINGS WE'LL CUT YOUR TONGUE OFF! THEN GO AHEAD. YOU'RE HITTING ME BECAUSE YOU KNOW IT! YOU KNOW YOU'RE WRONG!"

"SHUT UP YOU WEAKLING!" The father placed his full strength in this blow. He hit him with all his anger. He hit him directly on his head.

And once his anger was released. He stepped back and huffed. All that hitting took quite some energy out of him.

"That oughta teach you to think before you speak."

Kazuto laid there, motionless. Blood flowed from his head spreading all over his face. His mind went hazy and blank.

'Is this it?'

He gathered his remaining strength to try and sit up. His arms trembled as he tried to get up. His eyes became blurry but he still looked towards where his parents stood. Hoping to see a different expression on their faces. But alas, they looked at him the same. With eyes filled with resentment. With eyes that screamed hatred. With eyes that said you deserve it.

'I wonder if. . . Athanasia felt the same when she was hung.' Kazuto collapsed again. As his eyes slowly closed and his last thoughts began.

Episode 02│Lilith

LILITH WAS A PRINCESS from the small kingdom of Feradona. She attended a banquet at the Obelian Empire to celebrate the Coronation of Emperor Claude. That was where they first met and Claude took her in as one of his concubines.

Feradona was a very cruel nation that oppressed women and thought very lowly of them. Even being a princess , Lilith had very less Authority , even in the matter of her marriage.

LILITH WENT OUT OF THE Banquet hall for fresh air in the garden, while her Father , King Of Feradona was trying to approach Claude in the hall. After Giving his Greetings, The king then carefully brought up the topic of marriage of the emperor...

"Emperor Claude, you have worked oh so very hard in bringing down the previous tyrant for the sake of the people in your Empire , but I believe it is about time you begin thinking of yourself as well."

Claude Glanced at him with icy cold eyes as if saying 'I don't have time for this nonsense'

The king gulped and then continued "As Emperor, it is only natural for you to have an Empress, is it not? I have a very beautiful daughter , I'm sure she would be-"

Claude looked him dead in the eye with a threatening glare. The king stopped mid sentence , frozen by fear of the emperor's gaze.

Claude then walked by him without saying anything.

A while later Lilith came back to the hall and among the crowd, Claude's eyes fell on her beautiful golden eyes. Claude stared at her for a while before being interrupted by some pesky nobles introducing their Daughters.

A while later the king of Feradona once again came up to Claude and Introduced him to his daughter.

"Glory and Blessings upon the Sun of the Obelian Empire. Greetings your Majesty. I am Lilith Vi Feradona. It is an Honour to finally meet you" Lilith spoke as she bowed.

"You may rise"

When she raised her head up, their eyes met. Claude was once again mesmerized by those beautiful golden eyes. Lilith was also enchanted by the beauty of the infamous Jewelled eyes of Obelia. Both stared deep into each other's eyes as If trying to peek into each other's soul.

The king then once again began

"As You Can see your Majesty my daughter's beauty is-"

The kings sentence was cut by Claude

"I'll take her"

"Pardon?"

Claude gave the king an icy glare

"I said I'll take her in-"

The king cut his sentence out of joy "Oh Goodness! what a wonderful news isn't it! Lilith , my sweet daughter you're going to become the empress-"

Suddenly the whole banquet hall went quiet because of Claude's Dark Aura. Claude looked at the king with a cold and threatening look .

"Not only did you dare cut me when I was speaking , you also dared to think I would make your daughter the Empress"

There was complete silence in the hall . the king gulped and said " Forgive me Your Majesty I was so overjoyed over hearing that you would be willing to give my Daughter Attention that I misspoke. May I be so rude as to ask you to repeat what you were saying"

Claude was debating in his head whether to kill this man right now or let it slide this time...

'He's looking down on me. Does he take me for a fool? Well it is a banquet.. a joyous occasion to celebrate my enthronement , shedding blood on this day is not something I would want... hmm then shall i imprison him and then wage war with Feradona? I would like to get rid of any nuisances and it would serve as a good example for the rest of the people who are looking down on me. But if I wage a war right after my enthronement and the reason being as petty as someone's loose tongue-'

Felix interrupted his thoughts by whispering into his ear "Your Majesty, You've been quiet for a while now."

Claude let out a small sigh and glanced over to Lilith , eyes still brimming with coldness.

"I'm willing to welcome your daughter to my Palace as a Concubine."

"A...Concubine...?"

Claude then glared at the king once again , this time he was almost about to order felix to cut off the head of this nuisance , until the king realized it and said

"Aahh How wonderful , isn't that right My dear ?" He said while holding the shoulder of his daughter.

"Ahh Yes..."

Upon hearing that the emperor took in a concubine many others began to approach him with similar intentions. Claude, already tired from this nuisance, announced the end of this banquet and left the hall with felix.

Lilith kept staring at the back of the man she was supposedly a Concubine for now. It all happened so suddenly she was still trying to process it all.

A WEEK LATER LILITH came to Obelia as a Concubine and brought her two Closest Maids , Olivia Grantum and Bella Siftel, with her. They were guided to the Ruby Palace, which will be their residence from now on.

Lilith would mostly spend her time going for walks around the gardens or going to the library.

2 weeks passed since her arrival and Claude hadn't visited her once. She didn't reach out to him either. She quietly stayed at the Palace, living in peace.

Then soon many other Concubines started residing in the Ruby Palace as well. Claude's harem kept growing. Claude began visiting but very rarely and during his first visit he didn't even remember or give Lilith any attention.

'Claude's Harem was filled with many beauties from several places. Of course a woman such as myself who could hardly rival the others in beauty would be ignored.' Thought Lilith

Then Lilith decided that she wants to be free. She doesn't want to be trapped in a cage , she wants to go around the globe and Live her Life.

She gathered her courage and walked to the Main Palace where the Emperor's Office was located. She knocked on the door.

"Come in." a cold voice from beyond the door came. She gulped and went in.

"Glory and Blessings upon the Sun of the Obelian Empire. Greetings Your Majesty." Claude simply gave her a glance and then looked back at the papers on his desk.

"If I may be so rude to ask you a question? " she started the conversation.

"..." Claude remained silent.

"Your Majesty , Do you have any interest in me?" She asked. Claude looked up with a Blank Face

"What is your point? "

"I wish to leave the Palace. There are many women in the Ruby Palace who have unmatchable beauty. If one such as myself was to leave you would have no loss whatsoever."

Claude put the papers aside and looked at her. They made eye contact and Claude upon looking at her eyes remembered why he brought her here in the first place.

"So you wish to return to Feradona?" asked Claude

"No."

"Your Father , Gave You to Me As a Concubine. If you wish to stop being my concubine then I will hand you over back to your father." Said Claude with an emotionless expression still staring straight into her eyes.

"Why must you 'hand me over', with all due respect I am not a tool , neither a doll meant to be played and tossed around with. I will send a letter to my father letting him know of my demotion from Concubine. And will then leave the Palace on my own. That is All." Lilith said with her eyes brimming with a beautiful light

'I don't want to return to Feradona , that Godforsaken place is a complete hell for women. Even if I am a princess it's still not easy , especially if I was to go back after purposely leaving my position as concubine. I might be called a traitor and beaten to death. After sending father the letter I will run away from both Obelia and Feradona and travel the world not as Lilith Vi Feradona but as Lilith. Lilith alone.' Thought Lilith as she turned around and began to walk towards the door.

Claude would've normally let her go. But her eyes caught his attention. She wasn't afraid of Claude. That light in her eyes wasn't fear.

'That light in her eyes... Hope... Her eyes are filled with Hope...They look beautiful. I want to see those eyes a little longer '

"I don't believe I gave you permission to leave." said Claude

Lilith who was now near the door turned around in shock and confusion and looked at the Emperor.

"It would be far too rude to have you leave the Palace on your own. After sending the letter to your Father, Upon his reply I will prepare a carriage and knights to escort you back safely to Feradona." Claude said with a slight smirk on his face as he stared deeply into her eyes.

"I'd rather die than go back to Feradona! Your Majest-" Suddenly there was a knock on the door.

"Your Majesty, May I Come in ?" Said Felix

"Yes." replied Claude.

Felix entered with a stack of papers and placed them on his desk. He turned around , bowed slightly and greeted Lilith.

"Felix escorts her back to the Ruby Palace."

"Your Majesty ! we're not done ye-"

" Lilith. I will call for you after I have carefully thought about your request."

Felix looked at both of them in confusion.

Lilith kept thinking about how Claude called her using her first name and had a hard time sleeping that night.

Episode 03│Prince

A FEW DAYS LATER, Claude Invited Lilith for Tea in one of the Gardens. They discussed the topic during that time. At the end of their meeting they concluded that Lilith would be allowed to go sightseeing around Obelia with 2 Imperial Guards. Giving her temporary freedom and a new scenery to enjoy.

To Lilith's Surprise the reason why Claude did not allow her to wander the streets alone was because there can be many dangerous people in this world who might harm her because of her gender. Thus it is not safe for her to wander or travel alone. He assigned her 2 imperial guards and gave her permission to travel throughout Obelia. but she would need to let him know about her trips before time.

Lilith was touched by Claude's kindness. She never expected Claude to worry about her. Seeing this side of him , she couldn't control her expressions.

A big smile formed on her face as she said. "Thank you, Your Majesty." Claude froze when he saw her smile. He felt something in his chest.

'What is this feeling?' he asked himself.

A FEW MONTHS PASSED, Claude would spend his free time drinking tea in Lilith's company. Lilith would tell him about her trips. With time they became close.

Lilith then made another request from Claude.

"You want to learn swordsmanship?" Asked Claude in a rather annoyed tone.

"If it's not too much trouble..."

"It's not troublesome at all. But why ? I've assigned you 2 guards already. Unless they did something to make you upset." Claude said while glaring, at the 2 guards that stood behind her, with hateful eyes.

"Oh no no no , it's not that. it's just... I want to learn it so I can become more independent. I don't want to be protected. I want to protect." Lilith Said ,her eyes brimming with Determination.

And Claude can't say no to those eyes. Of course he agreed.

TIME FLEW BY AND NOW it had been a year since Lilith became a concubine, and she was also expecting a baby, in about 3 months. She had by now learned swordsmanship and she would often spar with Felix and it would end in a draw.

Claude was impressed by her talent in swordsmanship and often praised her during their tea. He was fond of her face blushing from the compliments and so he would tease her a lot.

Feradona heard news that their Princess had learned swordsmanship. Because of this many oppressed women in Feradona began to dream of achieving the same.

Women in Feradona were allowed to wield a weapon but nobody would be willing to teach them or let them buy any. But when the Princess began swordsmanship. The women began to dream about it themselves. And soon began to reach those dreams.

The Noble women in Feradona made their own Faction that began to voice the demands of women. Those women, out of fear of being beaten by their husbands , divorced them.

Divorce is a matter of Disgrace for the Family but they couldn't care less about being graceful anymore. The women had already started secret businesses and thus they had their own source of income to manage without depending on men.

All of the women in Feradona were slowly becoming independent and their role model was none other than Princess Lilith Vi Feradona. The Princess during her time in Obelia broke several Invisible Laws of Feradona.

Invisible Laws are laws which aren't actually illegal but because of the people's mindset of thinking women were inferior they prohibited women from doing several things which the law doesn't actually forbid them to.

Usually men would kill a woman if she dared talk back to him in Feradona and then make up some silly story at court. but because all the judges at court were also men.. of course whatever the jury decided would always favour the male more than the female.

That was the unfair society that Lilith lived in. Even her own Father did not see any wrong in all of this and only saw his daughter as a means of developing good relations with other countries by marrying them off.

Feradona was now in a crisis. The women had suddenly started to overpower men. And in their eyes the one responsible was none other than Princess Lilith Vi Feradona.

After a meeting with the nobles the King decided to send his daughter a letter, requesting her to visit her father as he was missing her 'precious' daughter's company. They were planning on Killing the princess or Publicly Torture her to make the women fear men again.

Unfortunately, Lilith is not as stupid as they thought. Lilith was well aware of what had been happening in Feradona over the past few months and upon receiving her Father's letter, she was utterly disgusted to be related to him by blood.

She took the letter to Claude and they discussed it during their tea.

"If they're being a nuisance, then I can kill them." Claude replied upon hearing her worries.

'Though killing them doesn't sound bad, with me being the role model for the women in Feradona. If Claude kills those pests for my sake then the women might get the wrong idea and believe that violence is the only way to settle things. It seems Felix has understood the situation as well seeing as how he's making that worried expression towards me as if telling me to say no to Claude.'

"I appreciate the thought, Your Majesty but I believe it would be better to approach this situation more peacefully." Felix gave out a sigh and smiled brightly towards Lilith. Upon seeing this Claude said

"Felix. 10 Steps back." Felix walked back with imaginary tears running down his cheeks.

"Lilith, You need not worry about this matter. I will deal with them"

"Deal with them? How?" Asked Lilith with her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Claude averted his eyes and ignored her question and began sipping his tea. Lilith kept staring at him for a while before Claude stood up and said

"As I said , Don't worry about those pests. You shouldnt get stressed for the baby's sake." said Claude while smirking

This made Lilith blush uncontrollably. And before she knew it Claude had gone back to his office.

MONTHS HAS PASSED and Claude had increased security around the Ruby Palace. Lilith was still unaware of exactly what Claude was planning. He was getting busier and had less time to spend with her but he would still make time for her in his busy schedule by sacrificing his sleep.

When Lilith noticed the dark circles under his eyes. She scolded him and forced him to sleep while singing him a lullaby and then she began coming every night to sing him to sleep, instead of having tea.

Feradona had been very quiet lately which made Claude all the more annoyed.

Claude had listened to the advice of Lilith and wasn't making any bold moves but he just needed a small excuse from Feradona to begin the war. So he was waiting for them to move first. To make Obelia seem innocent.

Arius was born soon after. A healthy baby boy, who inherited his mother's hair and father's eyes. Lilith was beyond joyous on his birth.

Lilith was moved to the Main Palace for the time being , so Claude could keep her safe from any harm during her pregnancy.

Unfortunately, Claude was overwhelmed with work so he couldn't come see his child or wife but he was going to visit soon, he relayed from Felix when he dropped by with a bouquet of flowers sent from Claude.

Lilith knew this would mean sacrificing his sleep again. She told Felix to tell him that there is no need to rush , and that he should take care of his health as well. She is a patient person and she can wait until his work subsides so he can visit them. Felix smiled brightly upon Lilith's kindness.

3 DAYS HAD PASSED and Claude was now finally free to visit them. It was sometime before midnight, he knew it was late but he didn't mind.

As Claude was walking towards Lilith's room. An unknown feeling came into his chest. He thought to himself

'Strange. What is this feeling? I feel ... happy? I didn't think I could ever feel this way. Lilith is safe. And I'm...a Father now...'

Though he tried to control his expressions , he wasn't able to make a blank expression like he usually does but instead a more heartfelt and jolly expression.

Lilith's room

Lilith's maids , Olivia and Bella, were both taking care of Lilith and Arius. Bella was in charge of Arius and Olivia, Lilith. The maids would sleep inside the room so they could assist them if Arius began crying at night or Lilith needed help with something.

They were all asleep when suddenly Arius began crying. Lilith awoke to the cries and glanced at the crib. She said

"Olivia , Bella... Arius-"

"A-Ah y-yes my lady please don't worry, I'll see what he's crying for." Bella said.

When Lilith rubbed her eyes , she saw that Bella was wide awake and already standing a few steps away from the crib. The room was dark so she could only see a shadowy figure of Bella approaching the crib .Arius started crying even louder

'Something seems strange Bella sounds nervous ... and she was already awake...'

"Bella , Bring Arius to me"

"E-Eh!? but my lady-"

"What is it? "

"Diapers!"

"I-it seems i just need to change his Diapers." said Bella while forcing an awkward smile. Lilith didn't notice because she was still half asleep.

Bella then picked Arius up and began walking to the bathroom.

"Wait."

Bella Flinched and turned around

"Yes My Lady?"

"Bring Arius To Me"

"But !?-"

"He is my son." said Lilith in a demanding tone. It was still too dark for Lilith to see clearly but she was now slowly regaining her clear sight.

"AHHHH!" Screamed Olivia , Who had woken up from the conversation between the two and Arius's cries.

"BELLA WHY ARE YOU HOLDING A KNIFE AROUND THE PRINCE'S NECK!" shrieked Olivia

Lilith immediately stood up from her bed and held the sword which she kept under her bed in her hands.

"Bella... Calm down.. I won't hurt you if you put Arius back in his crib."

"NO YOUR MAJESTY, YOU DON'T GET IT , THEY , THEY'RE HOLDING MY MOTHER CAPTIVE. THEY SAID IF I DO THIS JOB THEN... THEN THEY WOULD LET HER GO . I'M SORRY YOUR MAJESTY BUT! I HAVE TO DO THIS." Bella shouted as she shoved the knife towards the prince's neck

Olivia during their conversation managed to get close to Bella. Right before the Knife slit the prince's throat she pushed Bella. Olivia got her hand slashed by the knife. Bella lost her balance for a moment but she still hadn't let go of Arius nor the knife.

Lilith let go of her sword and ran as fast as she could to snatch Arius from Bella and she succeeded in securing him. Bella upon seeing Arius not in her arm panicked. She closed her eyes shut and just began swinging the knife around her.

The knife got stuck somewhere while she was swinging it...she hesitantly opened her eyes..

"MY LADY!" Olivia shout in horror

Dodging a knife would've been easy for Lilith as she has learned swordsmanship and knows fast movements but due to her body being weak from giving birth.. she accidentally stumbled and got stabbed from the back in a vital point.

Arius throughout these moments kept crying and by now he got tired and slowly fell asleep.

Claude suddenly barged into the room after hearing Olivia's shout. And upon seeing Lilith bleeding he shouted

"SUMMON THE IMPERIAL PHYSICIANS! IMMEDIATELY"

Claude then ran towards Lilith who was bleeding profoundly while curving her body towards her stomach as if hiding something.

It was Arius. Bella's legs gave up out of fear of the emperor, Olivia dragged her out of the room, away from Lilith and Arius afraid she might do more harm.

Claude began healing her using his magic, but the bleeding wasn't stopping

"LILITH! LILITH! Stay with me ! Please ! Hold on ! Hold on! WHERE ARE THE IMPERIAL PHYSICIANS!?" he shouted while glancing at Olivia , who was taking Bella out.

Olivia stood there silent. shaking in fear.

"...Claude.."

Claude shifted his head towards her and looked at with all his attention. 'This is the first time she called me by my name.' thought Claude

"..Say..Hello..This is Arius...Our son." she said, moving her arms towards him.

"He has the same... beautiful eyes... as yours."

Claude looked at the baby which she held beside her chest.

'So you're hurt because you were protecting him..' Claude Thought

"...Claude...I'm..not going... to make.. it."

"DON'T SAY THAT! I WON'T ALLOW IT ! YOU CAN'T DIE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! "

"Hehehe...listen..to..me...I won't... be able to ...give this child the... love.. he needs ,... so in my stead... Claude." She said in a slow and soft voice while putting her hand on his face

"... I hope that you... will... take... care of him. ... , love... him..,... cherish him.. and protect... him and... Cough* Cough*... Please tell him that I ...Love Him... and that...I'm sorry for...being so... weak. " She lost her strength and her hand that was on Claude's cheek slowly dropped on her stomach

"Lilith..." Claude had this painful expression on his face.

"Why does everyone always..leave me.. Lilith you're leaving as well..?" Lilith Smiled at him and said

"You won't...be alone... Arius will be... here... in my... Stead." She said, and Claude nothing but kept looking at her with a painful expression that made Lilith feel sad.

"I'm glad...I get ..to die.. in... the arms of the...one ...I love...Claude...Thank you...and ...I'm sorry..."

"YOUR MAJESTY THE PHYSICIANS ARE HERE." Felix Shouted as he entered

A crowd of Imperial Physicians enter the room and gather around Lilith to heal her. Olivia enters as well and holds Arius while they heal her. They wait outside while the magicians heal Lilith

After quite some time, the magicians come out and nervously say

"Your Majesty, I apologize but it is too late for her highness... she lost too much blood and she was injured in a vital spot so-"

"Enough" Claude said With ice cold eyes

The Physicians bow and then leave the palace. The only ones left in the hall were Olivia, holding Arius , Felix and Claude. Arius suddenly starts crying. Claude looks at him with resentment.

"Take him to the Jade Palace. Felix has 30 maids head over there."

Felix was quite shocked at this. Jade Palace is a Palace for royals who are viewed as disgraced or unworthy of their royal blood.

Olivia did as he said.

Claude without a second thought waged war with the Feradona Kingdom. He brutally killed all people he suspected to be involved with Lilith.

He kept Liliths wish in mind and made sure that the aftereffects of the war would not affect the women of Feradona. He conquered Feradona and it became a part of Obelia.

The war was rather one sided so it ended quickly, and upon his return another banquet was held for formalities. To celebrate victory in the War.

Episode 04│Athanasia

DARKNESS. Darkness everywhere.

'Huh? Where am I? Am I dead? A light. Right. I must be dreaming.' he thought and he closed his eyes again. After a while , he peeked open his eyes and looked around.

'Huh...this room looks like an anime's Did I get reincarnated or something?' he glances back at his small hands

'That's so cool, omg wow this must be a second chance at life my first life was complete trash so this life is a compensation for that.' he started smiling and laughing

'Okay so this room looks like...a noble's house. hmm.. did I get reborn as a noble heir or something. OH I WONDER IF THIS WORLD HAS MAGIC! I'm so excited.' he was super happy over a second life in a new world.

"Ah Prince, you're awake." he turned towards the source of the voice. A ginger haired woman with bright emerald eyes wearing a maid outfit came near his crib.

"Your Highness..."

She picked him up.

"You're so adorable!" Olivia said as she hugged Arius's small body.

'Huh...she said prince. I'M A PRINCE?! Wow, I'm so lucky . looks like this life is gonna be super fun .' he thought while giving Olivia a wide smile.

ALMOST TWO YEARS PASSED by Olivia raising Arius with as much love as she could. Arius, although was mentally mature, decided to act as a child and enjoy a good childhood which he couldn't in his previous life.

Arius's plans were ruined when he came to find out his father was none other than Claude De Alger Obelia, the one who had Athanasia executed in 'Lovely Princess'.

'But he came to love Athanasia in WMMAP so maybe...but wait how come I'm here? A prince didn't exist in either stories so how come?... wait, maybe I'll die soon so I won't be able to appear in the story and Claude has forgotten me just like he abandoned Athy in the start. So even if I died in both stories he didn't remember having a son. That's why a prince wasn't mentioned..?' Arius thought

'..But now what?'

'Should I try winning the emperor's favor to live?.. but why, why do I always need to make people like or love me. This is just like my previous life. Plus I'm not Athanasia. She is the main character, she has the power of plot armor to protect her, while if a side character such as myself who was originally meant to die suddenly showed up in front of the emperor and acted all cutesy...I don't even wanna think about what would happen.'

'One year has passed since the incident at the Ruby Palace. The maids out of fear, of the Jade Palace being next, began to quit. Now Jade Palace is almost fully filled with commoner staff. But throughout Olivia never left my side. Athanasia should be a year old right now. Four more years until Claude meets Athanasia. But Arius probably died before their meeting...'

'But how did he die? Even if all the servants turned their backs on him, Olivia would've never left him alone... but I don't even know much about Olivia... she's taken care of me with extreme love but...why.. '

"Your Highness..."

"...Your Highness.."

"Your Highness!" Olivia said as she grabbed the shoulder of the young prince who was in a deep thought. Arius flinched and turned to see Olivia.

"Uh Yes, what is Via?"

"Is there something troubling you, Your Highness?" Olivia looked at him with a worried look

"Oh no it's noth-" he stopped when he was given a more concerned look from Olivia

'If I say it's nothing she'll just worry more about it.' he thought

"Then Via, I'd like to know more about my mother..."

Olivia gave him a sad smile as if happy to see him being honest with her and at the same time feeling sad about him not having been able to spend much time with his mother and being neglected by his father.

"Of course , Your Highness. The weather is lovely today, how about we take a stroll as I tell you?" she smiled at him.

Arius nodded in excitement. He hadn't known anything about who his mother was, was she a commoner like Diana, or maybe a noble? He was very excited to finally know something.

They began their stroll with Arius in Olivia's Arms.

"Your Highness, Your Mother was a princess who had come to Obelia as one of his emperor's Concubines. Her name was Lilith Vi Feradona. She was a very... kind and... gentle person..." Olivia explained as she tried to hold back her tears.

Arius noticed her expression and suddenly said

"Via! look the flowers have blossomed" to try and change the topic

"Oh my , yes indeed. They look lovely, would you like to take some inside to place in the vase in your bedroom?"

"No, it's fine. I can just come here when I want to see them." Arius said with a rather mature smile on his face.

"Your mother was extremely fond of flowers...Her favorite was a Purple Rose. His Majesty gifted her a garden filled with purple roses. "

"A whole garden of purple roses?!"

Olivia Chuckles and strokes his hair

"Yes Your Highness, I wish I could show you.. but it was near the Ruby Palace... There's quite some distance between the two Palaces. When You're a bit older , I shall take you there."

The stroll came to an end after a while. Arius learned some other things about his Mother as well. At night before sleeping he recollected all his thoughts.

'So my mother was a Princess and Concubine of the emperor. According to what Olivia said , Claude actually loved my mother a lot. That's kind of hard to believe seeing as how he killed all his other lovers when Diana died but didn't do that after my mother's death. He probably didn't know what love is and thought the feelings he felt with my mother were love but he later found out its true meaning after meeting Diana or something like that.'

'Welp anyways, Though I could see Olivia had a sad expression on her face , I still managed to ask how she died. Assassins huh, from Feradona. And Claude later Conquered Feradona and brutally killed all those involved in her murder. hmmm ...'

'If I'm also a lovechild like Athy then maybe he wouldn't do anything too bad to me...ugh no. Adults are all crap. I shouldn't rely on them, especially my parents. Olivia...can also not be trusted.. who knows maybe she's just sticking around me because I'm the crown prince who will later become the emperor or so she thinks. But later she realized the emperor favored Athy more and left me... in the end everyone is always looking out for their own selves. '

'I hate having to suspect her like this... I guess I have no choice... I'm not interested in the throne , I just want to run away and be free and independent , Claude has Athy anyways and it's not like my existence has been publicly announced... I also have somewhat mana inside of me, not enough to cause a mana explosion like Athy's but enough to help with running away and doing whatever'

'But I'm reincarnated into WMMAP , this is my chance to see the characters and see all those funny scenes that I read . How can I miss this opportunity? I have to at least see my sister's beauty and cuteness once before leaving'

'Okay, I've decided ! I'm going to stay here. Even if Arius died in both timelines, this time it'll be different. Even if all the servants , including Olivia, leave me , I'll just run away too using my mana, but I'm still not sure if that is what really happened. For now, I'll continue living the way I have , while also trying to connect more with my mana... since it would be dangerous to use it before my body matures a bit.'

THREE YEARS HAS PASSED. Arius is now five years old while Athy is four. Things have remained peaceful for both of them. A bit too peaceful...

'This is so suspicious, I'm five , there are still servants working in Jade Palace, Via hasn't left either... Was I wrong? But then how did Arius die? UGHHHH this is so confusing'

He looks at the window. Olivia seemed really busy. Olivia's work had grown over the years, because the staff kept leaving. Unlike Ruby Palace which had some gold and silver in it to keep the commoner staff busy stealing it, Jade Palace was the lowest of the low with almost no gold whatsoever .

The commoner servants only stayed for a year or so and after they had stolen all the minor luxuries this Palace had to offer, they left their jobs without a second thought. Arius had not intended to keep his abilities hidden, at least not after finding out his father is Claude. So as soon as he got the opportunity, he immediately showed Olivia that he knew how to write and read letters, which made Olivia believe he is a genius because children during those times didn't learn these things until they were older.

Olivia provided Arius with some story books upon finding this out. So whenever Olivia was too busy to give Arius company , he would just read books.

'Ugh, I'm bored... let's go for a walk.' thought Arius to himself

As he was walking through the garden he remembered the garden of purple roses which Olivia told him about. He decided that since Olivia was busy, he'd go and see it by himself and at the same time, take a look at his cute little sister.

'I don't know where Ruby Palace is but I'm sure I can find it ! After all, Athanasia also found the Emperor's Palace while just going here and there!'

3 Minutes Later

Arius looked around.

'I'm lost...' he thought as some sweat started running through his forehead.

'Hh, Athanasia was the main character...'

"I'm not the main character." he said as he mentally cried.

Rustle!

'Is it an animal?...Huh!?'

Athanasia flinched and turned around to see a boy with Cerulean Jeweled eyes. Both looked at each other with confusion and shock in their eyes.

'WAIT SHOULDN'T ATHY BE FOUR.. BUT SHE'S HIDING HER 'RICHES', THAT TOOK PLACE WHEN SHE WAS FIVE.' mentally screamed Arius

'Jew-Jewelled EYES!? WHAT , WHO IS THIS BOY AND HOW COME HE HAS JEWELLED EYES !?' Athanasia mentally screamed

Both of them began studying the other to answer their questions. The silence was then broken.

"Uh..Hello, I'm Arius. What's your name? "

'Arius? I haven't heard that name in the novel.. is he a side character? but those eyes make him pretty special to be a side...OH I SHOULD REPLY.' Athanasia's thoughts.

"I'm Athy... "

Another silence began

'OMG she's so cute and pretty! THIS IS MY SISTER!? DAMN I'VE ALWAYS WANTED A YOUNGER SIBLING.' Arius screams internally

'That's my brother !? I DIDN'T KNOW I HAD ONE AT ALL PLUS HE'S SUCH A CUTIE I WANNA HUG HIM! He has black hair... we must have different mom's then..' Athanasia screamed internally

"Can you lead me to the Ruby Palace? I got lost on my way there." Said Arius while rubbing his hand on his neck.

"Uh sure.." Athanasia said as she began walking back. Arius followed.

"But what do you want with the Ruby Palace?" asked Athanasia with her eyes sparking with curiosity

"I wanted to see the purple rose garden" said Arius

'A garden?' Athanasia thought as she looked at him with 'Why' written over her face

"Say, You're my sister right ?"

Athanasia stopped and looked at him.

"Uhm Yes..brother..."

Arius almost died of a heart attack. The character he loved the most just called him brother. He had a hard time acting normal and controlling himself from hugging her.

They reached back to the Ruby Palace rather quickly. Athanasia had many questions she wanted to ask this mysterious brother of hers. But she had to go back to her bed or else Lily would be worried.

Arius made Athy promise not to tell anyone about their meeting. Arius told her to meet him at the same place tomorrow.

Arius now made his way to the gardens that surrounded Ruby Palace. After going through some maze-like places he finally reached the Garden of Purple Roses.

'Woah! It's so pretty , and well-maintained too. To think Claude would actually give such a pretty garden to my mother. Well talking inheritance wise , shouldn't this be mine now?'

Arius spent some time exploring the garden and admiring the flowers. He then returned to the Jade Palace. To his surprise , no one noticed him come and go. It was kind of sad , but he could use it to his advantage, since he'd be meeting Athy tomorrow.

Episode 05│Assassin

Arius's Point of View

THE NEXT DAY. I met Athy once again.

We both talked a lot with each other, well it was mostly Athy asking me questions to figure out my identity and role in the novel. But she looked so cute that I couldn't help but answer all her queries.

The confusion about her age was also sorted out. Athy turned five a month ago and i was gonna turn six soon as well.

So it turns out that I'm ten months older than Athy instead of one year. Thus our ages are currently the same, But I'm still older!

Athy and I began meeting a lot of times from then onward. Even though we didn't have the same mothers , we both still got along really well , and Athy slowly became more comfortable around me.

We were like real siblings, even though we only met a few weeks ago. I was glad to have gotten close to her.

The day she met Claude was about to come , so I decided to decrease our secret meetings. Honestly, I couldn't care less about the flow of the story. Now that I'm here , the story is bound to change. But even so , the main things should not be missed.

ONE EVENING. Jade Palace by now seemed abandoned. Only Olivia and 10 other maids were staying at the Palace. I heard shouts coming from within the Palace. It seems like someone's arguing. When I went to the source I saw Olivia arguing with some maids who seemed as if they were also leaving.

"I know you stole some things from the Palace. Either hand them over and we end it peacefully or I will tell the authorities and have you imprisoned." Olivia said.

"Tch, Always being such a goody goody huh? How do we know you're not just taking these for yourselves ?"

"Don't stoop me down to your level . Now hand them over."

Ugh. It looks like some maids got caught stealing and now they're leaving with it. Via really doesn't get paid enough for dealing with this. Oh well I might as well step in before it gets worse.

"What's all the fuss about?" I asked with a sharp and cold tone of voice.

"Your Highness.. Forgive me if we were being too loud" Olivia said politely as she bowed to greet him. She always showed him the respect of a prince even though he was forgotten. The other maids didn't bother bowing to him

"Your Highness , a maid had stolen some-"

"Fine. I have stolen some jewels from the Palace. What about it?" The maid says while looking at me.

"It's not like anyone even cares about this Palace anymore, there's practically free jewels in here. The salary for this Palace is awful , these jewels will suffice as payment." She says while pulling a pouch of jewels from her luggage.

Welp this is getting troublesome. She's practically looking down on me now. Even honestly saying she stole and there's nothing wrong with it. I don't have any authority as prince other than my jewelled eyes. In their eyes I'm just a powerless kid, which is almost true.. almost..

"Iris." Arius glared with Cold eyes. Almost the same look as Claude.

The maid flinched, she only started this job a month ago. And she hardly ran into the prince at all. She wasn't expecting him to know her name.

"Leave My Palace. Hand over the Pouch of Jewels to Olivia. Olivia checks her luggage and brings everything she has stolen from the Palace to my room." I say in a commanding tone as he turns around and heads back to his room.

This time it was an order .

Iris was too shocked and scared by a Prince to disobey. I know that I am only five and yet my eyes don't look like those of a child...They are of the eyes of the Royalty.

20 Minutes Later

Via investigated the luggage of all the maids that were leaving and many stolen items were found. She brought them to my room as I had ordered. Now all maids had left and only Olivia and I were left in the Jade Palace.

Olivia seemed worried about how we would manage, but kept smiling for my sake. I ordered her to place all the stolen items back in their original positions , welp we're the only ones left anyways. No more theft now.

Hmm. Now what. We still have food items and Olivia knows how to cook. But that's not enough. Olivia already sent out many Job flyers but nobody wants to work here. Should I just move into Ruby Palace where Athy is?

Claude ordered for me to stay in Jade Palace but given the circumstances that's impossible. Or should I request staff personally from Claude? I'll be reaching out to him first, who knows maybe he doesn't even remember me.

Third Person's Point of View

Crash!

"AAAH!" Olivia yelled

Arius ran out of his room to see what had happened. Two men in black robes stood at the end of the hallway, with the shards of glass scattered on the floor. Olivia, who was standing in the middle of the hallway, rushed towards Arius. The two men in black followed her but in a slow pace as if confident in their skills.

Olivia hurriedly took Arius in the room , locked the door and began to panic.

"Y-Your High-hness, those men-"

"Calm down Via. They are Assassins right? and their target.. I assume it is me." Arius said calm and composed.

'So this is how Arius died... But not this time. I won't die this time.'

"Your Highness, there is no time. You must escape. I will try to lead them the other way , meanwhile please escape." Olivia hugged him tightly as some tears rolled on her cheeks.

"Via. Don't Worry , it'll be okay. I'm not leaving you, nor am I escaping. This is my Palace. It is them who will leave." Olivia stood there confused. She opened her mouth to say something but-

Bang!

The door to Arius's room fell over. The assassin came inside Olivia pulled Arius close to her chest and by the looks of her expression was probably thinking of a way to protect him from them.

"Via, Don't worry. I'll be fine" Arius whispered into her ear as he got out of her arms and towards the assassin. Olivia grabbed Arius arm and tried pulling him back. He smiled at her and broke out of her grip.

"What do you want?" He asked the Assassin while gathering mana around him.

The assassin didn't bother conversing and threw daggers around Arius to stop his movement. He ran close to him and tried to slit his throat.

But little did he know that Arius had been practicing mana control as of late and thus, Arius , a mere five year old , is also capable of combat. The poor guy got zapped with his mana, and passed out. He let his guard down cause Arius was a child. Arius chuckled to himself. While Olivia watched in horror, trying to process what happened.

"Y-Y-YOUR HIGHNESS! M-Magic?!"

Olivia sounded so confused. Arius couldn't help but chuckle slightly over her reaction.

The second Assassin suddenly entered the room and unlike the first one, he was a bit cautious with his movements and didn't underestimate Arius even though he was a child.

But even so , against a mana user. Normal attacks, using knives and daggers won't work. The second assassin was also knocked out by a mana zap.

Arius stood beside their bodies , proudly putting one leg over them. Olivia suddenly jumped to hug him.

"Oh Your Highness! Are you hurt anywhere!? Any injuries!? and was that magic just there !?"

"Ahahah.. Via ,I'm fine, I'll explain later. First let's go somewhere more safe."

"Ah! Yes of course... but where?"

"The Ruby Palace."

Olivia looked at him a bit confused and shocked.

At the Ruby Palace

Via and Arius come to the Ruby Palace. As we got to the entrance of the Palace, we heard several gasps and stares towards them. But who cares.

A maid hurriedly came out to the entrance and bowed.

"Glory and Blessings upon the f-first star of the Obelian Empire!" the maid stuttered

Ah. She stuttered. well still not bad considering she's a commoner and his existence hasn't been publicly announced. Arius' eyes gave it away.

"Would you kindly prepare a room for His Highness to stay in for the time being? We would like to meet with the head maid as well." Olivia told the maid.

Arius's Point of View

THE MAID TOOK US TO THE room where Athy was playing. Athy's jaw dropped when she saw me. I'm sure she's confused, after all I wasn't hoping to reveal myself this soon. The maid left me with Athy while I told Olivia to discuss matters over with the head maid of Ruby Palace.

During the time the maids prepared a room for me, I spent time with Athy.

"B-Brother?" Athy looked at me confused.

"Sorry for popping out of nowhere, something happened and I didn't know what to do so I came here. Do you want me to leave?" I teased her.

"N-no that's not it! I'm glad to be able to meet you without having to go through the trouble of hiding it from Lily. Anyways...what happened?"

If Athy was an ordinary child, I would've told her a lie like I missed her so I came here. But she is mentally mature , even more so than me with my previous life's age combined. And so there's no need to hide it. I might even tell her I'm reincarnated as well... But not right now.

I sat on the couch , closed my eyes and began explaining in a quick and simple way, "Jade Palace got attacked by some assassins. They were targeting me. But don't worry, I've dealt with them. I'll be staying at Ruby Palace for a while, since all the servants working at Jade Palace left. I know that by me being here , chances of you getting in danger are pretty high as well but- "

Athanasia cut him off

"BROTHER!" she shouted with tears running down her cheeks. she came up to him and smacked him in the head.

"Huh?! What's wrong, why are you crying?! uh should I just leave?"

"NO! You idiot!" she shouted as she smacked him once again.

Lily entered the room worried because she heard Athy shouting. Via followed behind her.

"I'm worried about you! You got attacked by assassins , and yet you're talking as if it's normal for that to happen! SECONDLY I couldn't care less about my life being in danger so STAY at Ruby Palace for as long as you want! AND are you hurt anywhere- Ah Lily, Please see if brother is hurt anywhere!" She lectured me.

Oh. She was worried about me. Strange. The Athanasia in WMMAP would have cared about her life more, and yet she's allowing me to stay here even though my presence might bring her harm.

Ha...strange... Tears trickled down my cheeks. Ha.. they won't stop...

"B-Brother?! Does it hurt somewhere?! Lily!" Lily and Olivia rushed to us.

"I'm fine Athy."

"Thank you.. for worrying about me, little sis.."

I cried for a while during our hug but I quickly wiped my tears after that we parted from the hug.

"Princess, have you met His Highness before?" asked Lily.

We flinched.

"...Yep , we met once in the forest when Broth-" I cut Athy off.

"When Athy got lost."

'HUH.' Athanasia looks at her brother

Arius averts his gaze.

"I was taking a stroll when I saw her lost in the forest, of course being the older sibling, I led her out of the forest and back to Ruby Palace. But since Via was waiting for me at Jade Palace, I rushed back. Afterwards , Athy and I met in the forest from time to time. "

I can't let them find out I was the one who got lost. I'm the older one. How is it that Athy goes around exploring the whole place but returns back to the Palace without getting lost? I internally cried. Athy was glaring at me for ruining her reputation. Oh well.

My room was right opposite to Athy. Olivia had let the royal guards know about the assassins who attacked me. They were imprisoned, thankfully they were still unconscious by the time the guards came to take them. The day ended peacefully.

Claude will probably hear about the assassination attempt... He might come to the Jade Palace soon. The story is gonna change from now on. The assassins failed their mission and now are imprisoned and will most definitely be interrogated after they wake up. I wonder who sent them. I might be the first in the line to the throne and a prince at that.

But as of right now I'm just a forgotten prince. I sighed .Being royalty is hard... But better than my previous life. I'm glad I have magic to defend me In these situations. But I'm kinda surprised. Athy has a magic spell protecting her, that was put by Claude himself. But how come I don't have one.

Claude also abandoned Athy and yet gave her protection but not...me.. Is it because she's the protagonist?
