Author's note: Hey everyone! This is my first fic ever! I based it off of a video I saw on YouTube. It is a fan made trailer of a Magic School Bus movie. You can find the link below.

I am writing this fic based on what I would want the story to be. There will be quite a few changes to what is seen in the video as a result.

Constructive criticism is welcome as it would be really beneficial in improving my writing. Enjoy!

It was a cold day in Walkerville when Ms. Frizzle died.

It had been 22 years since the Frizzle gang of Arnold Perlstein, Carlos Ramon, Dorothy Ann Hudson, Keesha Franklin, Phoebe Terese, Ralphie Tennelli, Tim Wright, and Wanda Li had been in her 3rd grade class. 12 years since they graduated high school. The gang had been separated in college and were still separated in their careers. They had rarely seen each other since then, and all 8 of them had almost never gotten together as a group.

No one was sure what happened to Ms. Frizzle since her death came so suddenly. She had seemed perfectly healthy and fit just a few days before, but then she suddenly got sick. The doctors were baffled by what illness she had, so they had no idea how to treat it.

She died of her illness just a few days later, and still no one knew what went on.

For the Frizzle gang, that was just the beginning of their biggest and most daring adventure yet.

Ralphie Tennelli was exhausted and energetic at the same time as he had worked really hard to help his team score another victory.

Ralphie had always been an athlete. Ever since elementary school, sports had been his life. He played baseball, soccer, hockey, basketball, and football during his childhood, and baseball had always been his favorite. Due to all of his sports playing, he had lost his baby fat practically overnight in middle school, and he went from 5'4'' to 5'11'' practically overnight.

He continued playing sports when he reached high school, and it was there that he started getting into football more than baseball. Due to his incredible physique, he was almost immediately given the quarterback position of the team after tryouts during freshman year. He played football every year of his high school career and helped the Walkerville Wildcats win many games, including all homecoming games. He quickly became a superstar in football and the teams MVP.

All of the time he spent playing helped him gain bigger muscles and grow to 6'1''. This gained him quite a reputation around Walkerville High. Many of the girls saw him as incredibly handsome with his tall and muscular stature and his chiseled face. He went on many dates during his high school years, but most were just quick flings. The biggest relationship that he had was during junior year when he dated Keesha for four months. Their relationship ended because Ralphie had never really wanted to settle down for too long due to his massive popularity, and Keesha refused to do an open relationship, so they ended theirs.

His successful high school football career put him on the radar for many great college football teams, including the Texas Longhorns, the Alabama Crimson Tide, and the Florida Gators. There were so many scouts that it was really hard to choose. In the end, the college that Ralphie chose to play for was the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He had heard many great stories of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and their many victories, which greatly appealed to him, plus they offered him a full ride scholarship to play football, so there was that.

Ralphie was a beast on the field, leading his team to score many touchdowns as a freshman, eventually helping them win the Big Ten Tournament.

He was always a big dreamer, and this great start to his college football career solidified his dream of playing for the NFL. Of course, all of the time he spent playing and training meant that he didn't have a lot of time for academics, but he didn't care. He believed that a career in the NFL was his ticket to a successful life, so when his advisors steered him towards taking an easy major, he didn't care. He ended up majoring in English, but he didn't study as much as he should have. His mother tried to get him to change his ways, but he never did because he strongly believed that football was to best thing for him.

He continued enjoying his college football life in his sophomore and junior years, and he remained Nebraska's best player. All of the attention that he got was almost suffocating. Any other man would not be able to take it and go crazy, but Ralphie was able to manage all of the attention he got. He went on even more dates than he did in high school, but they were still just quick flings.

Towards the end of his junior year, Ralphie started getting nervous. His senior year was coming up, and it would be the most important year of his college football career. This was when he would be scouted and possibly drafted by major league teams. Ralphie had always been warned about how difficult the drafting process was and the very low possibility of him going pro. He had always been confident that he would be drafted no matter what, but now that reality was settling in, he was nervous about the high possibility of him not being drafted.

Luckily, Ralphie did not let his doubt get the better of him. He decided that the best thing to do was to crush his senior year and see what would happen. After a successful senior year, scouts were really impressed by Ralphie's skill. Ralphie held his breath as he waited to see what would happen next.

Finally, Ralphie's dream came true when he was selected by the Washington Redskins for the first round of the 2008 NFL draft to be the quarterback.

That was 8 years ago, and now, Ralphie was one of the team's best players and had dreams of helping his team get to the Super Bowl. That would be an incredibly difficult task as the Redskins hadn't won a Super Bowl since 1991. On top of that, Ralphie was older now and not as athletically gifted as he was when he was drafted. Many of his teammates were encouraging him to retire, but Ralphie refused, saying that he wanted to win or at least compete in at least one Super Bowl before he retired, although it didn't seem like it would be a possibility anytime soon.

Ralphie drove to his home in Alexandria, VA, just outside of Washington, D.C. He got home and almost immediately collapsed on the couch. While he was ecstatic from helping his team win a game, he was completely exhausted from playing, the consequence of being older and working really hard while playing. After a few minutes, Ralphie went into the kitchen and heated up some frozen food in the microwave, being too tired to cook something. Before he ate, there was a knock at the door. He answered, and it was Alexis, his girlfriend of one year.

"Congratulations! I heard you won another game!"

"Yeah. It feels great." Ralphie then let her inside and they both sat down at the table. As they sat down, Ralphie took a look at Alexis and admired how beautiful she was. Her soft facial features, her beautiful brown eyes, her long black hair, and her slim, curvy body. He had met her a year ago at a bar. They got to talking and they started going out. Ralphie expected this to be another quick fling, but there was something about Alexis that separated her from all of his other girlfriends. Ralphie still wasn't sure what it was, but he and Alexis really connected, so this relationship was a serious, long term one. Ralphie could not have been happier with this relationship, and he thanked God that he met Alexis.

"So, how did the game go?" Alexis asked.

"It went great, but I still felt incredibly exhausted afterwards, and I don't think I played as good as I used to.

"Ralphie, this is why I have been asking you to retire. You're not as young as you used to be. If you keep playing like this, you could get seriously hurt."

"I know," Ralphie groaned, "But as I've said before, I really want to get to a Super Bowl more than anything. Besides, it's the middle of the season. I can't quit now."

"Well, you should think about retiring after this season is over, whether you make it to a Super Bowl or not."

"If I don't make it, I don't think I'd want to retire." Ralphie said.

"Ralphie!" Alexis chastised, "You need to think about your health and safety! I know it's been your dream since forever to play at the Super Bowl, but sometimes, dreams aren't meant to be."

"I know, but I wish this one would come true."

"I know," Alexis conceded, "But at least think about retiring soon. For me."

Ralphie looked over at her and saw the concern for him in her eyes. "Fine, I'll put some thought into it, and I'll see what I do."

"Thanks, Ralphie." Alexis then leaned over and kissed him.

Ralphie then got up. "Well, I guess I'll go check the mail."

Ralphie went to the mailbox, pulled out what was inside, and then went back to the table and sorted through the pile. He found a letter from Walkerville Elementary. Confusion was etched across his face. Since when do elementary schools send letters, especially to adults like him that hadn't been there in a long time? Ralphie opened the letter and read over it. As he got to the end, his expression morphed into one of shock and sadness.

"What's wrong?" Alexis asked, concerned.

Ralphie looked over at her with eyes filled with sadness. "M-Ms. Frizzle passed away."

"Ms. Frizzle, your third-grade teacher?'

Ralphie nodded his head and began to quietly sob.

"Oh Ralphie," Alexis wrapped her arms around him and embraced him as he wept, "I'm sorry. I know Ms. Frizzle was your favorite teacher." Ralphie had told her about Ms. Frizzle, but of course, he never talked about the Magic School Bus, thinking she would think he was crazy.

Ralphie sobbed for a few moments before he got up and read the letter again. "The funeral will be next weekend."

"Are you going?"

"I think I have to."

"I'll go with you if you like. Where is it?"

"In my hometown of Walkerville. It's pretty far. You up for a long trip?"

"Of course. I'll be with you ever step of the way. I know this is important to you."

"Thanks." Ralphie then gave Alexis a big hug. "I should probably call my friends to see if they've heard." With that, Ralphie took out his phone and dialed a number, still not believing what he had just heard. He hoped all of his friends would be in Walkerville, too.

Author's note: The next few chapters will be like this revealing what each of the group members have been up to and how they hear the news.

For my story, Walkerville is set in Virginia due to that being the possible location in the canon as revealed in The Magic School Bus Rides Again In The Zone. There is a scene that appears to show that Walkerville is set in Virginia.

To be clear though, I don't really see Rides Again as canon.

I am aware that the Redskins are having a name change, but this is set in 2016, before the name was taken away.

Next chapter coming soon!
