The storm outside was raging, rain pelted the roof and windows at a blistering speed, the crack of the lighting was illuminating the sky constantly with vicious repetition and the thunder was booming with the force of an angry god. The wind was howling in the sky and the sea around the island of Patch was unforgiving with its waves.

A grizzly time indeed, but a time that greeted two young girls. Those being Yang Xiao Long and Ruby Roes.

It was going so well, sure, they were scared of the loud noises at first when they were going to bed, but a reassuring hug and kiss on the head by their mom and dad left them with high spirits and clear heads. Well that was the case, but Ruby was still a little scared, and asked Yang if she could sleep with her after their parents left the room. Naturally, Yang being the good big sis that she was happily obliged to let her sister sleep with her. After all, Ruby was still only three years old, of course she would be scared! ... Though, Yang did have to admit that even though she was two years Ruby's senior, she was a little scared, just a little! Not much, not much at all. ... Ok maybe she was a little more than a little scared.

Besides, she likes to cuddle and sleep with Ruby anyway, she was just so cute sometimes that Yang just couldn't help but hug and cuddle her. So she scooted over and let her little sister into her bed and adopted the big spoon position to help sooth her little sister and, too an extent, herself as well. All was well for a little bit, with the rhythm of Ruby's breathing and the warm body of Yang keeping Ruby nice and secure. Yes, it was nice, they were even about too fall asleep. That was until they heard the back door downstairs slammed closed, followed by the boom of a particularly loud thunder clap.

If they weren't going to sleep then, they surely wasn't going to sleep now. Any tiredness they felt was washed away from their brains from the sudden rush of adrenaline that coursed throughout their veins. No, they weren't going to get no sleep, not now, at least.

"Yang, what was that?" Ruby's voice came as a quiver.

Yang was just as scared as her sister, but she disliked the fear in Ruby's voice even more. So with as little composure she had, she replied in a shaky voice "I don't know Ruby, maybe they accidentally shut their bedroom door hard?" It was a weak response, even Ruby knew that, but Yang felt obligated to calm her sister.

"I'm going to their room, you coming?" Yang said to her sister, she hoped so, so that she wouldn't have to go out in the hallway by herself. But she would to make sure that they are there, even though she knew they weren't. The sound came from downstairs after all.

"Yeah, I'm coming." Ruby replied, it was already scary in here with Yang, it would be even worse without her in here, so she really had no choice but to follow her big sister to check on their parents.

With shaky legs, and a wavering resolve the sisters made their way to the door of their room, with Yang, naturally, leading their little incursion into the house that they called home.

The hallway was dark, but the lights downstairs were on, which immensely relieved both girls. With more willpower entering their bodies they made their way down the hall, slow and steady at first, then a little bit of a jog as they approached their parents door.

With as much confidence as she could muster, Yang slowly opened the door, "Mommy, daddy, hello?" Yang was waiting for some kind of reply, and with every second that passed with no answer, fear started to seep back in a little bit. "Momma, dada, are you there?" Ruby tried to get their attention this time, however, no answer came.

With a false bravado Yang opened the door all the way and was greeted with the site that both sisters were expecting, but were hoping, wasn't right. For in the bedroom of Taiyang Xiao Long and Summer Rose, was a neatly made bed with no one inside its sheets. The fear of the two young girls started to set back in.

"Yang, were are momma and dada?" The red and black haired girl said with as much confidence she could muster out, so as to not scare her precious big sister.

"Maybe they're downstairs? Yeah they gotta be downstairs, let's go Ruby." Yang replied with the same withering confidence as her sister, she has to be strong for Ruby so she won't be scared, she was to cute to be scared. So with the remainder of her will, she took her sisters hand and headed downstairs.

Again, they called for their parents, but again, they went unanswered. At this point, their fear was growing even more, but they were trying to keep it in check, for their sisters sake, they both reasoned, though it was a fast eroding thing, their bravado was. They really hoped their parents would come home soon.

"Come on Ruby, let's go sit on the couch and wait for them." Ruby concurred with her sister's brilliant plan and they both hopped onto the couch, staring at the tv that was playing the news. They didn't understand it, but they guessed it was bad, based on the large fire going on, though they were confused as to why there was a fire burning on the ocean, it occupied their minds for a little bit. It wasn't like they understood what the lady was talking about anyway.

"We have confirmed reports that there was, indeed, a crash between the ships 'Cats Paw' a ship that was heading to Vale from Menagerie, and the 'White Angel' a ship too destined for Vale, but came from Atlas. What we know right now is that all was going well for both ships, until the very same storm that is happening as we speak, one of such magnitude that hasn't been recorded in decades, struck the area both ships were at, right near the island of Patch. Both ships lost control and seemed to have collided with one another. While this is bad in of itself, it seems that one or both ships seemed to have had a large quantity of fire dust, based on the reported explosion and large fireball that appeared, which has been reported to of been visible from Patch itself. With the CCT down for repairs and and the local radio towers down with the storm, the vessels had no way to communicate with one another, and have crashed and are now in the process of rapidly sinking. No huntsmen are on scene and won't be on scene for another few hours at least, due to the sudden bolster of fear the storm has generated, the Vale council decided that it was best to have our huntsmen on standby in case of a Grimm attack. This is all we know for now, we will update as the the situation continues and will inform you all as it streams in, until then, be safe and do not worry, we are all in safe hands."

While the news anchor was relaying to the public of situation, the girls weren't paying much attention to it. They only knew that two ships crashed and that was about all. So while that was going on, Ruby decided that she intended to get some sleep while they wait for their parents. So, she got into a comfortable position, and laid her head down on her sisters lap. Yang, who was trying to make heads or tails of the situation, let her do this for multiple reasons. One being, Ruby looked to adorable move, and the second being she was also pretty tired. From the sudden adrenaline they had to calming down somewhat, their exhaustion was finally catching up to them. So with her sister in her lap, a kiss to the head from Yang and hugging her to stay more warm, they entered into a blissful sleep.

It wasn't even an hour before they were awoken from the sound of the front door being burst through, followed by the pounding of feet on the floor. Both of them shot up like a bolt, and spotted Taiyang and Summer rushing through the house like they had a mission to do. They shot right by their two daughters and entered the kitchen with reckless abandon, upon entering, Tai swept all the stuff that was currently occupying the kitchen table onto to the floor, and set something down on it. Summer wasn't far behind and laid her bundle to the right of the other bundle that was currently on the kitchen table.

Completely startled, and frozen for a second, Ruby and Yang finally got their wits about them, and slowly made their way too the kitchen entrance. They haven't seen their parents so frantic, yet so focused in their young lives, it was honestly quiet scary, though also a little cool to see them in action.

As they made their way over to the entrance, they saw Taiyang getting the first aid kit out from below the sink, while Summer was attending and wiping those two bundles on the table off with a towel. As they continued their observation, Yang accidentally hit her elbow on the entrance going into the kitchen. That seemed to startle the married couple, because they turned around quick as lightning and seemed as if they were reaching for something. While when their parents were gone were scary, the look and aura that was coming from them scared them even more than when they were gone. Because, at that moment, this wasn't their parents, these were hunters and they had a job to do. Needless to say, but both Ruby and Yang were struck frozen with fear.

Seeming to of just took notice of their two daughters, their expressions immediately softened and adopted a look of relief, regret and confusion. Taiyang, seeing that he scared his daughters, and knowing Summer was better at stitching up then him, handed the first aid kit over to his wife and approached his daughters.

"Ruby, Yang, what are you two doing up?" He said in a calm and steady voice. As he made his approach over, he slowly lowered to his knees and looked at his daughters. They we're definitely scared, no small part thanks to Summer and him, that's for sure. So, to deescalate the situation and to put out the coals of fear inside them, he opened his arms up in a hugging motion. They hesitate for a brief moment, which stings Tai more then he could ever imagine, but they soon brake their trance, and, with little grace, they start to cry and run into the open embrace of their farther.

"Shh, shh, it's okay, it's okay, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." Tai said. He was still mad at himself for doing such actions to his own daughters, even if they were unintentional, and he was on high alert. It was still no excuse to him to scare them like that, and he intended to make it right somehow. Figuring out how to do so would have to come later though.

Taking his daughters into his arms, he picked them up and started bouncing with them to calm them down, it seemed to help and they stopped crying, as they lifted their heads, they looked over Tais' shoulders and their fear, but also curiosity, came back to them.

"Daddy, why are there two girls on our table, and why are the bleeding?" Yang said, her sister also voiced her question "Yeah, why are they there? Isn't being on the table a bad thing?" Because that was what those two mysterious bundle were, two young girls, around Yangs age, we're currently lying on the kitchen table.

The one on the left, the one Tai came in with, was a young girl with long, midnight curly black hair, her clothes were wet and there seemed to be a bit of blood adorning the head of the young girl. She was currently being dried and having bandages applied by Summer and she seemed to be in a blissful sleep. Curiously, the girl had a set of what appeared to be cat ears on top of her head. That seemed to confuse the two girls, who had never see a Faunus before, though did think they were cool, even a little cute on the young girl.

The other girl was also a oddity, she had white as snow long straight hair. Her cloths were also wet and there was also blood on the girls as well, more so than the other. There seemed to be a cut from just above the girl's left eyebrow to just below said cheek. Though it didn't seem to be as bad as it looked, there appeared to be no damage done to the eye itself, so small miracles and all that was still happening at least. She didn't seem to have any cat ears on top of her head, a more normal sight to the young girls, but she looked to also be asleep, and the little noises from her was also cute, so that was nice.

Tai and Summer, noticing their blunder, sighed internally. Summer laid down her towel and approached her family, taking Yang out of her father's arm she replied to their questions "Don't worry your little heads, they just had a little accident and we are just making sure they are fine fixing up their boo boos." Summer replied to her daughters, as much as he would love to take both and cuddle with them right now, she had other things to attend to at the moment. Giving her husband a look that said 'follow me', they took their daughters into the living room and sat them down in a chair. Summer knelt down and grabbed both of her daughters shoulders and said "Mommy and daddy are a little busy at the moment, so how about your first mission?"

That seemed to excite the girls, for as long as they can remember they always wanted her hunters, just like their mom and dad, so to get their first mission from them was super cool to the young girls. So with a excited shake of their heads they waited for their orders. Summer, smiling at their enthusiasm, said "Okay, it is super important, so pay attention, your daddy and I need you two to sit right here, and wait for us to come back. Make sure that no one disturbs us so that we can help those two in the kitchen. So be on high alert my little huntresses, we're counting on you." Summer said with a excited voice, making it seem much cooler than it actually was, which was just to get the girls out of their hair for a moment.

With excited nods, more than what guard duty would ever entail, the girls agreed to their parents mission and were ready to make them proud.

With smiles on their faces the hunters got up and turned around and headed back to the kitchen to help their impromptu guests.

It has been a very long night for both Summer and Taiyang. Other than the horrible storm that appeared out of nowhere, it was a nice night. The family was having a nice time, they had a good dinner, made by Taiyang, mainly because Summer could somehow burn a bowl of cereal. A fact that irked Summer a lot, she could face down hordes and hordes of Grimm, lead teams of hunters into battle and was a great tactician. But the kitchen, is what defeats her, ironic that she could do all those amazing things, but couldn't figure out a frying pan. It wasn't so bad, after all, Tai could make some of the best food that you would ever taste, so she was not complaining to much.

After a hearty meal, they played with their daughters for a little while before they headed up too their room, and laid them to rest. It took some convincing and plenty of hugs and kisses, but they were finally convinced that the storm wasn't that bad.

Yes all was going well, they were even about to go too bed themselves, after cleaning up a little downstairs, that was, until they saw a large fireball appear in the horizon. With a single glance from one another, they rushed into action, heading straight for the back door, they grabbed their weapons, while at the same time opening the door. They weren't properly dressed, but that didn't deter them, they were hunters, helping those in need was in the job description.

They could of been more careful of closing the door, it was a pretty loud sound and it might of woken their precious daughters, but it probably didn't matter, after a particular loud thunder clap that sounded right after. It seems that their daughters were going to be awake when they got home.

As they rushed forward and headed into the night, they were thinking what might of happened. What they knew is that it looked to of come from the sea, so it was probably a boat that had a spark that hit a large quantity of fire dust. Had to be, based off the size of the fire in the distance.

It was at this point that it hit them, the fire came from the sea, meaning that they couldn't go out and help even if they could. The waves were just to bad and they would waste their own lives for nothing trying to ride the waves over. They were more likely to drown themselves then help others. The only thing they could do was wait by the shore and hope and pray that someone washes up to them.

Their prayers were apparently answered, because not to far out they spotted some debris in the water. That wasn't what got their attention, it was what was on two pieces in particular that they we're paying specific attention to. For on two of the pieces seemed to be two young girls, around Yangs age it seemed at first glance.

It was at this moment that years of paternal instincts kicked in, because what they saw wasn't just two little girls, no, they saw their own daughters out their, scared, hurt, confused and all sorts of different emotions that would run through their little heads, not knowing we're mommy and daddy were. They didn't even think, they just moved.

Immediately springing into action, they dove into the water. It was a miracle the girls were still on the debris with how horrible the sea around Patch is right now due to the storm, but it didn't deter them, they saw the faces of their daughters out there, and they were prepared to go too hell and back to protect and save them, measly sea water WASN'T going to stop them, their own safety be damned if need be.

They both swam and swam until they got to their respective rescues, Taiyang, got a young cat Faunus girl, with hair as black as midnight and dressed in a majority black outfit with some white mixed in, it contrasted nicely with her hair and features overall. Though he didn't know where she was from, it was a safe bet to assume she was probably from Menagerie, the majority of the Faunus population of Remnant lives there after all, though he could easily be wrong, he admitted to himself.

Summer on the other hand swam up to a young girl with snow white hair, though it was tough to tell with the darkness of the night overhead. Her dress that she was wearing was pretty much all white, and it looked nice on the young girl and caused her hair to pop out even more, Summer noted for the briefest of moments. She was willing to bet that this young one probably came from Atlas, based on the hair color alone, because only that region of the world has that hair color naturally occurring and it looked to good to be dyed, so it was a safe bet, she reasoned.

With both of the girls secure in their arms, they made their way back to shore. It was a tough journey back, but what they discovered on the girls made them swim just that much harder. It seems that they both had some pretty serious head injuries, if the bleeding of their foreheads was any indication, and the white haired one even had a nasty looking cut on the left eye. It was perilous, with both adults going under a few times, but they made it back.

But there wasn't to be rest for them yet, they still had to address the injuries of the girls and help get them out of the rain. Summer turned towards her husband and shouted a question due to how bad the storm was "Did you bring the med kit!" Tai responded "No! With all the excitement, I forgot to bring it!". Summer let out an expletive at that, and responded to Tai "We got get home, there's one there, and these injuries look pretty nasty to me!" Tai concurred, and so hoisted the young Faunus up and both Summer and he took off like a bat out hell, beelining straightforward their home.

They we're making good progress on the way back home, they only hit a snag when a Beowulf appeared out of nowhere. Though, it was only one and they were some of the best huntsmen of their generation and even then this one was young. It only took one hit of Summers weapon and the creature of the night was dead, and so with that taken care of, it wasn't long before they made it back to the confines of their house.

They busted through door, like as if it wasn't even there, and booked it too the kitchen, they didn't even notice there daughters on the couch as they passed.

Upon entering the kitchen Tai completely removed everything from the table in one fell swoop of his hand and the young Faunus down on the table. Summer done the same not long after. Tai headed towards the sink, while Summer grabbed a towel and started to dry the girls off. They were soon startled by a low bang sound and, them being in a state of duress, released their auras and went to fetch their weapons, all the while turning towards the sound.

They immediately felt worthless at what they were about to pull their weapons on. It was their own daughters, and upon seeing them they immediately softened. Tai, handed the kit over to Summer and headed towards his daughters, and after some apologizing and bouncing they weren't crying anymore. Though both Summer and Tai felt like doing so at the moment because of their massive, yet unintentional, blunder.

The young girls then notice the others on the table, and both realizing their mistake again, set to take them out of the room. Summer commandeered Yang from Tais' left arm and headed into the living room with their daughters, were they sat them down, and came up with a brilliant plan to keep them there for now. Afterwards they then returned to the kitchen.

Upon entering, Tai let out a long, depressed sigh and said "I just about pulled my weapon out on my daughters. Some dad I am huh." Tai said with melancholy coating his voice. Summer responded with melancholy of her own and a little more shaky then Tai said "I almost did the same, I can't believe I would do that." She said with a heavy heart. Summer added on to help sooth them both, though they both believed it to be a poor excuse "We were on high alert, and we are quiet rattled right now, we'll make it up to them. That I promise. Come on, these poor babies need our help, I can feel bad about my self later." That last part she muttered to herself, Taiyang didn't hear hit, but he thought the same.

So, with new resolve, they made their way back too the young girls and started tending to their injuries. After some wiping and cleaning, they found out with relief that their earlier guesses about their injuries being real bad was wrong. They both had similar cuts on the head, but then they finally remembered that head cuts usually are not as bad as they look, they just tend to bleed a lot. So it was probably nothing. The only thing note worthy of concern was that the white haired girl had a decently deep gash on her left eye, that thankfully missed the eye itself, though it was probably going to scar. After placing bandages on them, and covering the white haired ones eye with a patch, Taiyang and Summer finally had time to relax, and discuss what happened.

Summer was the first to start "It is a miracle they came out that as un injured as they are, that was a very big explosion that happened out there."

"Yeah, that was a bad explosion, must of been a large thing of fire dust that blew." Taiyang responded, though that did cause him some concern. "How did that happen anyway, isn't regulation on fire dust supposed to be real strict on packaging of it? Who would let something as flammable and volatile as fire dust be so haphazardly packaged?" He was getting pretty upset with what was happening, now that he could properly think right now. Because who in their right mind would be that dumb not to properly handle a package as volatile fire dust?

"Well, there is the white haired one and she more than likely came from Atlas, so maybe it was the Schnee Dust Company?" Summer added her thoughts.

That made sense to Tai, that sounds like something the SDC head would do, he tried to make an extra buck off cutting corners all the time, so it makes complete sense that that is probably what happened. "Yeah, that was probably it, and looked what happened, we got two poor, injured girls right here, and for what? All to make a little extra cash? He won't even care that these poor things might of lost their families, all he would probably care about is the lost profits because of this." Tai was getting angrier by the second, and so was Summer, those poor babies went through so much because of this. It was then that Summer realized something.

"What about their families?

Tai stopped and thought for a second, these girls may just be orphaned right now. It made him sick to his stomach just thinking about it. He hoped he was wrong, but there was a good chance he wasn't.

"Oh, those poor babies." Summer said with a quiver in her voice, she couldn't even think about how much pain those girls might go through after losing their parents. She even thought that, what if it were Tai and her on that boat, and Yang and Ruby were left all alone. She couldn't even think about that without tearing up. Her babies, all alone, scared, wanting a hug and kiss and to be with them. It was enough to almost send her to her knees, but Tai came to the rescue with a question.

"

When are we going to tell Ozpin about this, maybe he could help?" Summer thought about it, but noticed a flaw, "That is a good idea, but the CCT is down for repairs, and the locals are down due to the storm. It would take weeks, possibly months to get into contact with him." Taiyang responded to his wife "Yeah you are correct, gods this is such a mess."

Summer agreed with him but just as she was about to speak again they heard the sound of groaning and shifting.

They turned on a dime and saw who was stirring, it was the Faunus girl that was waking up. They slowly walked forward, making a decent amount of noise along the way to alert the girl of their presence so as not to scar her. It seems she finally came to and noticed the strange people coming her way. In a bout of adrenaline the girls head shot up and she scurried backwards until she felt she was about to fall off the table, then stopped. They noticed that her eyes were a golden color and kind of slit like, common for scared cat Faunus. She looked both Summer and Tai in the eye, and with the most pitiful and scared voice they ever heard, she spoke.

"Who, who are you, where am I, please don't hurt me!?" The sound of the girl and her questions broke both of their hearts, this girl was terrified, and so, slowly, Taiyang lowered himself and spoke with as soft a voice he can "It's ok, little one, we ain't going to hurt you. My name is Taiyang and this is Summer, we just need you answer some questions. Here take this, it's quiet delicious I can assure." Tai took out a piece of candy from the shelf and handed it to the young girl. Tentatively, she reached out and took it from Tai. "See, we aren't going to hurt you, I just need you to answer some questions alright, is that ok with you?" The young girl nodded weakly, but it was enough for Tai.

"Can you tell us your name please?" Tai said, and the young Faunus responded after what appeared to be some struggle "It's Blake, my name is Blake." Summer came in this time with a question and was currently doing the same as Tai, trying to make herself as least of a threat as possible "That is a very beautiful name Blake, can you tell us your last name please?" Summer asked the young girl, now named Blake, her question. Blake opened her mouth, but hesitated, no not hesitate, it looked liked she was trying to recall it?

"I, I don't know, I can't remember?" She sounded confused, and scared. Both Summer and Tais heart dropped at hearing this, she couldn't remember? That was not good news at all. Still they needed some more information, it was Tai that went this time "It's ok, take your time, but can you tell me what your mom and dads name is please?" Again, the girl goes to say but she stopped again "I, I don't know, I can't even remember what they look like. Is there something wrong with me, why can't I remember anything?" The quiver and quake in her voice absolutely shattered the hearts of the young parents. What if something similar happened to Yang or Ruby and they didn't remember them? Even thinking about it was dread inducing and could bring tears to their eyes. They felt so bad for this scared and confused little girl. Tai decided he hated the absolute helplessness the girl was having, so he responded to her question.

"No, no, honey, nothing is wrong, you just bumped your head a little, that's all, don't worry you'll be able to remember them soon I'm sure. Tell you what, how about you tell me something you do remember, hmm." Blake looked like she was about to respond, but before she could the other girls started to wake as well.

Summer, seeing the other girl move, went over to her, low to the ground and making noise along the way to alert her. The white haired girl seemed to notice her approach, and she to sprung backwards, her icy blue eyes met those of Summer, and they contained fear, she to was also afraid and started rapid firing questions " Who are you, Where am I, why can't I see out of my left eye!?" Summer and Tai both internally snorted at this, they asked the same questions pretty much, almost like twins. "It's okay honey, we ain't going to hurt you, my name is Summer and this is Taiyang, you are currently at our house right now, and you can't see because there is a patch on it right now. Don't worry you are ok. Here you can have this." Just like with Blake, Summer too handed the young girl a piece of candy.

The girl reached out and took it. Seeing that she calmed down a little, Summer asked her the same questions they asked Blake. It turned out that her name is Weiss and that she too couldn't remember anything. It terrified her quiet a bit and she was shaking like a leaf in the wind with her fear, with Blake not far off.

It absolutely broke both Summer and Tais hearts, but they still needed some of their questions answered, Summer took the reins this time "Don't worry, I'm sure it will come to you both soon. But how about you tell us something you do know, does that sound ok?" Both girls nodded and opened their mouths to speak, but no words came through, they were stuck and couldn't respond. No matter how hard they tried they could barely seem to remember anything other then their first names. Dread made its way into the hearts of Summer and Tai, these poor, poor, babies.

At about pretty much the same time, both girls stared tearing up and started to sob. For the second time tonight, both of their parental instincts kicked in, and without hesitating, they got up and put a hand around the young girls and tried to comfort them. The girls, needing something to latch onto, clung to Summer and Tai with great force and started to cry. They both wrapped their other arm around the young girls they were holding respectively, Tai with Blake and Summer with Weiss. They started comforting them as much as they could and after a few minutes, the girls started to calm down.

Deciding that they deserved a more comfortable place to rest they picked up the girls and headed into the living room. It seemed like it was long time coming the Xiao Long-Rose household.

While that was going on, both Ruby and Yang were being as diligent as ever, sitting and spotting for any intruder that would dare try to brake their mission. It wasn't to long before both their parents came back, they about to run up too them, but they soon decided against it. Reason being, the two young girls in their parents arms. So with barley restrained patience, worthy of such small and excitable children, they stay put.

Summer and Taiyang put down their bundles on the couch, and turned towards their daughters. "Yang, Ruby, this is Blake and this is Weiss, they aren't feeling to well right now, and will be staying for a little bit, so be very nice ok." Summer addressed her daughters.

Ruby and Yang, sensing the seriousness in their mothers voice, nodded viciously. They we're not going to disappoint them.

Both of the parents smiled, and Summer spoke again "Daddy and me are going to be in the kitchen, we'll be right back." With that Summer and Taiyang turned around and headed back to the kitchen.

It was silent for until Summer and Taiyang returned with cups of hot coco in their hands. Both Ruby and Yang made excited noises at one of their favorite drinks being presented to them and eagerly took the beverage from their parents hand. While Blake and Weiss did take it, they didn't start drinking it, still scared, confused and a little embarrassed that they weren't being to nice to these good people.

Summer and Tai turned around again and made their way back kitchen again, they had things they needed to do after all.

Ruby and Yang noticed their new house guests melancholy and decide to do something about it. They both put their hot cocos on the coffee table and made their way upstairs too their room. Once upon arrival, Yang went to get two blankets for the two guests, because they looked a little cold and could probably use a blanket right about now. Ruby on the other hand saw how sad and scared they and decided they needed something to cheer them up. She grabbed her two favorite plushies, a Beowulf and a Ursa, and headed downstairs with her sister.

Upon arrival, Yang cheerfully announced "I got some blankets for you two, you look cold." Startled out of their thoughts, both of the young girls were surprised by this precious gift, it was such a pleasant surprise, they both smiled and happily took the offered blankets, they were both real cold right now. They both showed their appreciation of such a gift by saying at the same time "Thank you." Yang laughed at that, it was funny and cute that they said the same thing at the same time, though not as much as when Ruby and she did it. Ruby was just to cute when she did it, it wasn't her fault that they were at such a disadvantage to start with.

Ruby, not to be outdone by her elder sister came up next "You can have my plushies, when I get scared they help me be less scared." Even if they wanted to refuse, they couldn't just because of the look on the younger girls face, it would be just like kicking a puppy, and who would kick a puppy! So with tentative hands, Weiss went for the Ursa, while Blake went for the Beowulf. Upon receiving this gift from the young Rose, both girls held their newly acquired plushies close to their chest, they really needed to hold onto something, and Ruby unintentionally done the girls a great service.

Seeing them be in such a bright mood lifted the sisters spirits greatly, and with much enthusiasm the girls sat on either side of their two new friends, with Ruby sitting next to Weiss and Yang next to Blake, with both of them next to each other. They sat there for a few moments until Yang spoke a question.

"Blake, why do you have cat ears?" It was a question that she's been wondering about, and it seems the other two girls were also curious, because they seemed to being attention to the conversation.

Blake responded a little hesitantly "It's because I'm a cat Faunus."

Yang responded "Cat Faunus? There are other kinds, also what is a Faunus?" Both Summer and Taiyang are good parents, but even the best can let some things slip through their minds, and talking about humans and Faunus was just something they hadn't thought of, because it was so common knowledge, they just assumed the girls knew. A mistake indeed but one that was quick to be ratified.

"Faunus are like humans, just with animal traits, I think that is the case I don't know myself." Blake said with confusion in her voice, she still couldn't remember pretty much anything but she did know she was a Faunus.

"Oh, that is so cool! Can I touch your ears please? I will be careful, I promise!" Now, while in almost any other conversation, that would have been an incredibly rude question, in this particular situation Yang had no intention of being rude and was just curious about what it would feel like. There was no ill will whatsoever in her voice.

Blake with even more reluctance (which she couldn't figure out why) responded "Fine, just be careful, their sens-, sensa-, they hurt when you touch them to hard." Blake responded, embarrassed that she couldn't say a big word.

Yang laughed at the black haired girls cute antics, and with delicate hands, she slowly reached her hand forwards and placed her hand on Blake's left cat ear. It was a very nice sensation, for both parties, Blake's war was soft to the touch and nice to play with for Yang, while for Blake, it felt like an incredible message to her ear and was a blissful experience. It was wonderful, but it got even better, when another, and honestly better hand, joined in on her right ear. Weiss's curiosity got the better of her and she to reached her hand out to Blake's other cat ear. Weiss was on the same thought process as Yang and enjoyed playing with it.

It got to the point it was so enjoyable for Blake that she started humming in content, more like purring then anything else. So it went like this for a few minutes, just the sound of rain and Blake's purring being the noise sounded. But all good things must come to an end, it started with Ruby, she was getting pretty tired and yawned, this started a chain reaction and soon all the young girls were yawning. It was a long night for all of them, and so with content the started to drift off into a slumber.

It was this scene that greeted Summer and Taiyang, and it was the cutest thing they ever saw. Ruby was cuddled up into Weiss, her head in her lap and arms around her waist, with Weiss herself having a hand draped over the younger girls chest and with her body leaning into Blake. Blake's head was on Yangs shoulder and Yang had a arm around Blake while leaning her body into her. It was such an adorable scene that Summer and Tai decided not wake them and instead use the blankets already their to cover them up. Deciding that it would be a crime not to photograph such a amazing sight, both parents took out their scrolls and snapped a picture.

Little did they know, this was the birth of a bond that would soar past the confines of any kind of relationship and the birth of the best huntsmen team that would EVER walk the face of Remnant.

Holy crap that was long. Over 7k words alone in this chapter.

Let it be know I took heavy inspiration from a similar book called Sisterhood, if you like this, you might like that. Don't worry I am not copying that story, this will be different in a lot of ways. One being, not focusing on team JNPR NEARLY as much. I like that story but that is one of my few personal grievances with it. But I digress, you should read it, it DEFINITELY has better grammar and storytelling than this one, but that is of my own personal opinion.

THIS IS A POLLINATION FIC! That will not change, other pairings, maybe shoot me some ideas and I'll se what I can do.

Needless to say, but not every chapter will be this long (I think).

This story will also be focusing a little bit more on early life, though we will (should) get to Beacon within at least 2 or 3 chapters. Please tell me any mistakes you see. Until next time, and have a wonderful day!
