May 1, 1978
I woke up in a small bed within the hospital wing. The only thing I remember was the confrontation that Nikolai and the Alliance had.
All I remember is telling Tom to do the spell they had been practicing together before he was hit square in the chest by one of Nikolai's spells. Quickly throwing the first spell that came to my mind at Nikolai, before I collapsed on my knees and began chanting the death prevention spell in hopes to save Tom.
When I stood up I quickly took in how many people were hurt. Something felt off, however, my head began to hurt as if annoying little pixies were trying to pound their way out of the top of my skull, and everything went black.
I noticed that there were other people lying in the beds around me in the hospital wing.
Madam Noelle and her apprentice were practically running around trying to tend all the wounded staff and students.
Surprisingly, there wasn't that many that were wounded, if many there were only about ten to fifteen, and the wounds were superficial so they'd heal fast.
"Annie." Bellatrix sighed from the chair next to the bed I was laying on.
"Where's Tom?" I asked, guardedly.
"He's helping Dumbledore and Headmaster Dippet clearing the mess in the forest next to Hogsmeade. He was here earlier. He was the one who brought you all the way here." She said, slowly.
"Really? How'd he do that?" I asked, surprised.
"When he saw you collapse to the ground, he looked panicked. He wouldn't let anyone near you. So, he pulled you into his arms and took off in a dead sprint. He didn't stop 'til got here to the infirmary. " she explained.
"Who else was hurt?" I asked her, nervously changing the subject.
"Just a couple of people. Andi's husband has a broken arm but other than that everyone is alright, just a few cuts and scrapes, thanks to all of your training." She said, in the same tone.
'Are you planning on telling him soon?' She thought.
I shook my head slowly, willing the tears that formed to disperse.
"I-- I can't do it, Bella," I said, frowning.
"Why not? This is important. Anna, you promised." She whispered harshly, her lip trembling.
"Are Bastan and you going to be alright?" I asked, changing the subject.
A pained expression crossed her features, her eyes slamming shut as tears began to pool and her lips trembled with unspoken yet pained and loss filling it.
"Yes, he is saddened by the death of his brother but there was nothing we could do for him. When we got to him, he-he was already gone." She explained, her eyes blinking away unshed tears.
"I am so sorry for the loss, he will truly be missed," I said, swallowing around the knot in my throat.
Trying to change the subject, quickly racking my brain. Suddenly as if the clock had struck, I knew the time had come.
"Meet me in the Room of Requirements, bring those who know of this," I said, sliding off the bed onto my feet.
"Annamarie, you must rest some more." Madam Noelle chastised, trying to get me to lay back down onto the lumpy cot.
"I can assure you, ma'am, I am fine. Better than fine." I replied, smiling lightly at her.
"Very well, then." She said, going to give a healing potion to Jenny Smith, who had a bandage wrapped around her midriff.
I slowly made my way towards the common room, I had been the one with the idea to have us stand in the clearing to meet Nikolai and his followers, avoid as much damage to the castle as possible. The only thing that was truly damaged on the grounds, was the quidditch field, it was burned to the ground.
I slowly made my way up to my room slowly. I took a nice long shower, putting on my flowered, over the shoulders, cotton, long-sleeved dress, with my knee-length boots.
I wrapped myself in my midnight blue travel cloak, putting all of my belongings including my wand into my bag. The only thing left in the room was the lit hearth. I felt my lip begin to tremble as I walked back out of the Slytherin Dungeon for the last time.
When I finally reached the Room of Requirements, located on the seventh floor, my heart began to ache.
"I'm so sorry, Tom." I whispered, sighing.
I paced three times before the door appeared before me on the stone wall. I slowly walked into the room that held a desk a piece of parchment paper, an ink bottle, and a pen. I slowly wrote the location where my parents' house is located.
15 East Monmouthshire, South Wales, England.
I slowly put the charm on the paper, and waited for Bellatrix to enter with Narcissa, Evangeline, Lily, James, Bastan, Grisha, and Snape.
They slowly entered the room, hesitantly.
"Remember what happens after this. Bellatrix, I need you to make sure none of this gets out, aside from the people in this room. Nothing is to be said or known. Not- Not until I am ready." I said, as I handed them the parchment paper.
"Lily, James, I am truly sorry that I won't be able to attend your wedding. Best of Wishes to you two. Write to me. The lot of you." I said, as I hastily walked out and out of the castle, slowly making my way don't the steep hill once more, in the Forbidden Forest and towards the Black Lake one last time. Once I got there I stared for a second towards the glimmering lake before I apparated to the first leg of my journey.
I blinked back into the present, as I felt a tear slide down the side of my face while I laid in bed, thinking of that night. It had barely been four months since it happened and I felt like it had been longer than that. I longed to talk to Bella and see how everyone was doing.
The last time I sent a letter with Chloe to Lily asking her to keep me informed was a week ago. I've missed every one of them so much. The only ones who knew of my location were with Bella and Bastan were Narcissa, Evangeline, Lily and James, Snape, Grisha, and now Billy Avery, since he was going with her.
Time had slipped by, unknowingly to me, if it hadn't been because I had just had my six months checkup I wouldn't even realize how much time had truly gone by.
Since I had glamour myself so nobody would know I was pregnant. Though it was getting harder hide the pregnancy since my stomach keeps growing larger as the days pass. As it turned out, I am having twins. Still I feel the pain as I did when I first found out.
'Maybe I should've told Tom.' I thought for the millionth time since I had gone under the Fidelis Charm.
The visions I keep having are becoming more and more worrisome. I can still see Tom. He is always on my mind. When I sleep, when I close my eyes, nothing takes my mind off of him.
He keeps trying to read my mind through the telepathic connection we have, he doesn't get in often, but when he does its only for a second or two, before I can manage to push him out once more.
I heard Chloe's pecking, as she rapidly tapped on my window, I quickly wiped the tears from my face, slowly trying to roll off the bed onto my feet.
As I made my way to the window I noticed that Chloe had a package tied to one of her legs and a small parchment rolled in her beak. It was from everyone who knew where I was.
I had to keep from crying when I opened it. It had been enchanted, it contained at least five different sets of clothes for boy and girl. Along with a letter from Lily telling me who was pregnant along with me and now her.
Alice Blake now Longbottom was also pregnant, along with Narcissa Black now Malfoy, Bellatrix Black now Lestrange and Molly Prewitt now Weasley, and three other women.
"Wow, they've surely been busy these past four months. I wonder if they've ever heard of reading?" I muttered sarcastically to myself slowly making my way back to the bed.
You know, that feeling that something is missing in your life but you can place your finger on what it is? No matter how hard you try? Well that's the feeling I had when I got up the next morning. Being almost six months pregnant I had to being using a concealment spell to hide how pregnant I really was. If anything, I looked to be at the farther than four and a half months into the pregnancy.
I felt tired as I stood before the mirror Concentrating on the image within my mind, I slowly changed the color of my hair. I felt my eyes begin to tear up as I watched my now waist-length, mahogany, crimson, honey gold, sapphire, and emerald locks turn into raven and sapphire locks that were now many layers, sticking up in different directions. My eye color changed into a dark deep sapphire color. Once I finished concealing my appearance, I left the house, slowly making my way down the drive to catch a cab.
Today was going to be one of the hardest days of my life, the day I moved into my new life as Sophia Marie Riddle.
